Your Elected Officials Try To Exclude You From Participation

They do this in many subtle and sometimes unlawful ways: They hold secret meetings, they quietly (very quietly) invite the public to “public” hearings, they sometimes lie outright. But Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk’s elected officials have found a far better way to do their mischief: They schedule important meetings on the same day at the same time but in different places far from each other to ensure that you can’t make both, even though you have a civic obligation, or a personal interest in attending both. Pretty clever, right?

Well, it’s up to you, citizens, residents to stop that despicable violation of your rights! Tell them to coordinate village of Ravena, town of Coeymans, and RCS Central School District board of education meetings so that you can attend all or any of them, if you’d like. They must be on different days, at least!

On Tuesday, October 14, 2014 Both the Ravena Coeymans Selkirk board of education meeting and the Coeymans town board meeting are both taking place at 7:00 p.m. Pretty stupid, right.

Why you need to be there, and you should have the opportunity to be at both:

RCS high-school principal Tom DiAcetis, Superintendant Alan McCartney’s Education

First of all, ALL VETERANS, PARENTS OF VETERANS, SUPPORTERS OF VETERANS, and all members of veterans committees in local government (Did you hear that, New Baltimore? Mr Guthrie and others?) must attend the RCS board of education meeting on Tuesday October 14, at 7 p.m. at the A.W. Becker elementary school. You must put Mr Tom DiAcetis, Mr Alan McCartney and the entire board of education on notice that their scandalous conduct concerning the National Guard and our Armed Forces will not be tolerated. Demand the resignation of Tom DiAcetis and Alan McCartney. Denounce the RCS board of education for their anti- military bias. Don’t take any prisoners and don’t accept their mealy-mouthed, pablum-puking lies and stupid excuses. Don’t let them off the hook this time. They’re accountable so make them accountable. NOW!

Colonel Chris Gibson

Mr Chris Gibson, Congressman for the 19th Congressional District, and Mr Paul Tonko, Congressman for the 20th Congressional District represent us in this RCS Central School District. Both need to be held accountable and both need to proactively investigate the RCS scandal perps, DiAcetis and McCarntney, and both need to reprimand the RCS board of education for the RCS anti-military scandal that embarrassed this community nationwide! Gibson and Tonko are up for re-election and Gibson, at a recent New Baltimore Republican Club meeting assured residents and voters that he would have his office investigate immediately. He assigned his top aid, Kevin Cumm, to head the investigation. Question: Did he do what he promised to do, or did he dishonor his office, his district and his uniform? Same should be asked of Paul Tonko!

The Town of Coeymans town board is meeting at the same time, on Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at 7 p.m., in the Coeymans town hall. Anyone who is not at the RCS board of education meeting should make every effort to be at the Coeymans town hall meeting. You need to find out about the pending lawsuits challenging the half-baked rezoning done by the town of Coeymans (started when Tom Dolan, Tom Boehm and Dawn Rogers had the majority on the town board. Don’t let them fool you into thinking it was all done by Flach and his new majority, like they’re trying to do!)

Former Coeymans police chief Gregory Darlington abruptly jumped ship like the rat he is. He abandoned his department, his staff, the town of Coeymans and us! Gregory Darlington should not be honored by the town of Coeymans for his dishonorable conduct and his selfish, irresponsible abandonment of his post. If Darlington didn’t have enough respect for this community, who paid for his fat ass, to tell us directly of his plans, this community doesn’t owe him a thing! (While we’re paying him a fat pension check, we think he’s going to be moonlighting in a second job,  hired by our impotent race-card flasher Albany County District Attorney Pudenda David Soares. Then DoDo Darlington can sit next to his wife, who is a secretary in Soares’ office. Nice and cozy!)  If Darlington could do that to the Coeymans police department, this community has to seriously reassess the situation and seriously consider eliminating the Coeymans police department and turning over law enforcement to the professionals, the Albany County Sheriff’s department and to the New York State Police. Save Coeymans more than $a million$ in tax money that can be invested in things we really need in this community. You’re paying twice, three times for law enforcement in Coeymans. Let’s see if we can get some leadership and pay only twice. (Let the Albany County Sheriff’s department or the New York State Police rehire the Coeymans police department staff, retrain them, deploy them if they’re really needed.)

Albany County has a highly sophisticated 911 emergency response system in place, and it’s paid for with your tax dollars! Coeymans has a bunch of insiders using antique equipment that has to be updated. Be smart and tell the Coeymans town board to eliminate the dispatchers and save almost a $half-million dollars$. We’re paying twice for the same service. We’re duplicating services. There are some who want to continue this stupidity and they come out to give their idiotic reasons why. But the voice of reason shouts out for them to shut up and get the facts. Tom Dolan, Tom Boehm, Mary Driscoll and others are blowing misinformation out their butts. Tell the town board of Coeymans to eliminate the dispatchers (Let Albany County re-hire them if they’re really needed.)

No fatalities. YET!

Again, we have to address the dangerous situation existing with the Port of Coeymans heavy truck traffic, and we need some real facts and explanations about the Carver Companies bridge and what the town is doing to ensure our safety and the safe movement of traffic into and out of the hamlet of Coeymans on Rt 144.

We also want to know about all the jobs that were promised. How many have been created so far? How many are actually going to be created?

We want to know why our quality of life is all of a sudden declining with the added truck traffic, the dust, the increase in noise pollution in our community as the result of the re-zoning and the increased activity in the Port and the surrounding area. Mr Masti, who is neither a native of the area nor a blue collar worker, has published his desire to keep Coeymans blue collar. Why is that? (Masti and his kind have to go!) But these are questions Ravena-Coeymans residents have to ask.

That’s why you have to make every effort to attend the Coeymans town board meeting on Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at 7 p.m. in the Coeymans town hall! Our local elected officials don’t seem to be able to make good decisions on their own. They need your help. Tell them what you want and Get the Facts!

We suggest you make a couple of phone calls, send a couple of e-mails. Get your family, friends, neighbors activated and attend one of the meetings or organize yourselves so that some of you attend one and the others attend the other meeting. Show your elected officials that you can shake things up and put their feet to the fire, so they do what’s best for US!

Stupidity, Ignorance, Corruption: Do you know the difference? Faith Plaza is Sinking!

Some readers have called us pessimists and they’re dead wrong. You see, we’re actually realists, because we see things as they are, make no excuses, and ask Why?

That requires us to be able to differentiate among stupidity, ignorance, corruption and plain old crookedness; that’s something most Ravena-Coeymans- New Baltimore locals don’t seem to be able to get a handle on. So we’re going to provide a couple of illustrations to help those of you along, who don’t quite have a grasp on realism.

A number of years ago, during the reign of terror under former Ravena mayor Bailey, the Flachs purchased the marshland on which Faith Plaza was built. No doubt the entire business deal was crooked because not only was mayor Bailey involved but local shyster John Biscone, father of the current Ravena shyster, Michael Biscone, was also involved. So the Flachs lay down cold hard cash, get the property, and somehow manage to get approval to build on the marshland property that served as a catch basin for drainage from the streams and runoff. The deal to let the Flachs get the property and develop it was stupid and corrupt. Building on the marshland was stupid and ignorant. Now, anyone with eyes to see, can see that the parking lot is sinking. It’s probably only a matter of time until we read about the sinkhole and how many cars got swallowed up.

That’s one of the reasons why Ravena and Coeymans basements and cellars are cesspools of flooding water. Ask the brilliant engineers of Flach & Company why that is. You may also want to ask where the Department of Environmental Conservation was when all of this is happening? But then, just as in the case of the Conrad-Biscone involvement in the case of the disappearing creek on Camille Drive in Ravena, when the right hands are padded, the Department of Environmental Conservation looks for other victims to harrass. After all, it distracts the public’s attention from the real criminals and the real violations.

A Sinkhole

 Sinkhole Facts — Warning Signs

Sinkholes form when water dissolves minerals in the bedrock or in the sublayers of the ground leaving the structures on top of the ground sitting precariously on loose soil that can quickly wash away.

If a sinkhole is in the process of forming the structures on top of it can give a hint to its existence: for example, slumping or sagging areas in a parking lot or road, and trees that start to lean. More subtle signs can include doors and windows that don’t close properly.

Heavy rains can caus the collapse of a sinkhole that had been slowly forming earlier. When rainfall collects in an area where water previously did not collect, that is another sign that the land is subsiding.

Here’s another example from recent local history: A local man is growing a crop of marihuana plants in his home. That’s stupid. The Coeymans police get a tip from a local druggie that the guy has an illegal weapon in his home, and the Coeymans police go to a local jackass town justice, Mr Dardiani, and get an illegal search warrant. That’s stupid and ignorant. The Coeymans police intimidate the guy’s minor kid and interrogate him at the RCS high school. That’s stupid, ignorant, and very likely illegal in some important respects. The Coeymans police enforce the search warrant and forcibly enter the guys home but don’t find the illegal weapon but find the pot crop. That’s just plain lucky. The Coeymans police with the help of a now defeated Coeymans town board member and others (Tom Dolan, Tom Boehm, Dawn Rogers) exaggerate the entire thing to get press just before the elections. That’s stupid and corrupt.  Boehm and Rogers lose the election. Dolan looks stupid, and loses not only elections for the Democraps but loses all credibility. That’s brilliant!

“Bridge to reroute port traffic away from local roads”, a report by Bryan Rowzee that appeared in the June 5, 2014, issue of the Ravena News Herald is another case in support of our subject.

Mr Rowzee continues his typical boot-licking dog-and-pony act by attempting to misinform and befuddle the readers of the Ravena Rag by putting a falsely positive and unrealistic slant on the Carver Companies, Port of Coeymans and Coeymans Industrial Park plans to take over a portion of Riverview Drive for their own use, and to build a private bridge, intended to connect the Riverview Drive with the Port of Coeymans and the Coeymans Industrial Park (all Carver properties). Unfortunately, Mr Rowzee again gets sucked into reporting only what the special interests want him to write and not what serves the public’s interest. Here’s why:

No one in the Town of Coeymans or the Village of Ravena seems to get it! The basic problem is the fact that our roads were never constructed to handle the heavy truck traffic at all. That’s the problem. The braniacs in town and village hall don’t seem to have eyes in their heads or the sense to realize that the roads are being devastated because they were never built to accommodate the huge trucks of today!

Contracy to Ravena mayor Misuraca’s assessment of why Ravena’s water mains are constantly rupturing (Misuraca seems to put all the blame on the fact that they’re old), Moose the Mayor for some reason has completely ignored and overlooked the fact that trucks weighing multiple tons traveling over the village streets create such vibrations that they literally destroy the water conduits over which they travel! Old may be part of the problem but it’s not the complete story, Mr Mayor Moose! Rome Italy is still using water mains that were built by the Romans more than 2000 years ago and they, sir, are old! But Rome doesn’t have trucks weighing dozens of tons running over them dozens of times a day, either. The village of Ravena does!

Solution: Reduce the heavy truck traffic running through Ravena all day long. The village streets were never meant for such traffic. At some point (real soon) you may want to start thinking like a mayor with an understanding ot fhe complete picture, too.

Back to the Carver Controversy: If it weren’t a sure sign that something was amiss when the town of Coeymans rushed the zoning changes through. If it weren’t a surer sign that something was crooked when the re-zoning was declared illegal. And if it weren’t a sure sign that something was getting even more crooked when the old bait-and-switch line was used, “There’ll be a bunch of new jobs created.” Yeah! That’s what we heard when they put up the Athens generating plant. Horse apples!

Readers: Use your God-given common sense, your familiarity with the lay of the land, and your recent experience. Here we have monster trucks now coming in and out of Riverview, an area that was never intended for such traffic but that’s moot. They’re there and that’s the bad news. The good news, well, almost good, is that at least by the time you get to the bridge over the Coeymans creek  you can clearly see them pulling out in front of you, and you can take evasive action. (That’s not true when they are coming down the hill and entering 144 from Ravena Main Street/Church Street. That’s a death trap!)

The planned route is going to be even more problematic. Entering Coeymans from the North, we approach at about 55 mph, see a 30 mph sign going into the curve, but you don’t see beyond the first 100-200 feet. In that very same curve is the entrance to the Port of Coeymans, the very place where the Coeymans cops used to — still do — wait in ambush for unwary drivers who don’t reduce their speed to 30 mph by the time they reach that point. That was great for the cops because the curve in the road provided excellent cover, and the short distance between the transition from 55 to 30 mph required some quick motor skills going into the curve. Well, that’s exactly where we undertand the Carver bridge will open up and cross 144. And they’ll have two lanes, apparently one lane crossing in either direction. Ladies and gentlemen, dear readers, the only ones who are going to benefit from this arrangement are Carver Laraway and Babcock Funeral Home.

The current situation is already dire. Anyone driving along SR 144 both in the Hamlet of Coeymans and just beyond the Lafarge crossing — that very crossing should be a glaring example of what to expect if Laraway puts in another heavy truck crossing just down the road, in Coeymans—has surely experienced the trucks pulling out of the so-called Port and putting you at risk of life and limb. They just pull out. Period. No one seems to care that they have to share the road with you.

But it’s worse still. Not only to they just pull out in front of you, they don’t have the sense to wait until smaller, faster traffic passes and they can then pull out and travel at 20 mph for the first couple of miles, reaching 30 mph in about 2 miles, maybe 40 mph in about 5 miles. They’re in a real hurry to get nowhere! In the meantime, they’re trying to cream you and leave your kids orphans.

But it does get worse still. There’s the dust! If the trucks don’t get you, the dust will! The trucks are raising mountains of dust not only in the port itself but even once they are on SR 144. Here are just some for-instances:

• Visibility. On a sunny, dry day, the dust clouds create a zero visibility situation. That’s very dangerous, especially when you think that other trucks are entering from one of the other entrances/exits to the port or from Lafarge.
• Your car’s air filter. Travel SR 144 a couple of times a day, driving throught those dust clouds, and just think about how often you’re going to have to change your cars air filter. Only Nappa wins on this point.
• How often to you wash your car now? Well drive down SR144 during the hours the trucks are in operation and you can pretty much double those washings. And think about the damage to the paint job with all those tiny sandpaper particles grinding away at it. Only Flach’s carwash is a winner on this point.
• And your clothes? Do you think that when you walk, drive or ride in the area where the wind is carrying all that dust and dropping it on your community that your clothes or your furnishings are going to be spared. Think again! Here’s were Flach and his laudramat and drycleaning business are going to make a killing, too.
• But the worst is yet to come. Think of your lungs! It’s bad enough when you can avoid driving on SR 144 and avoid the dust clouds and the hazardous drivers of those heavy trucks but the large particles are not the culprits in serious lung diseases caused by airborne dust. It’s the very small particles that lodge in the lungs and cause serious lung diseases, or aggravate the lung diseases people are already suffering. Airborne dust contains not only particles that can cause restrictive and obstructive lung diseases, aggravate allergies, those dusts also contain toxins and heavy metals that are deadly. Dear readers, Obamacare isn’t going to help you here. You’d better invest in high-efficiency particle filter face masks—or stock up on oxygen canisters. Albany Medical Center and its satellite clinics are going to make a bundle on this baby.
• Our Homeland. We’ll just round this brief discussion off with a final note on our beautiful Hudson Valley, the lush green of our summers, the beautiful air from the foothills of the Catskills—Kiss it all goodby thanks to the total stupidity, ignorance and corruption of our local elected officials. They’ve sold our health and our homes for Judas’ silver, and they’re after our health, too!

So, dear readers, before you lick up Mr Bryan Rowzee’s boot-licking reports and stooge Andrea Colby’s propaganda, and before you swallow Coeymans town supervisor Stephen Flach’s ignorant and uninformed pablum, lend an ear to concerned and serious local residents like Elyse Kunz and Barbara Heinzen, they’re being realistic in condemning this ill-fated and corrupt plan to destroy not only the character of the hamlet and the village, but threaten our very lives and health, while destroying irreplaceable habitat. And for what? To fill the pockets of the few! To cow to false and unrealistic promises of prosperity? We’ve heard it all before and we’ve suffered immensely for trusting them.

Stop them NOW before it’s too late.

Mr Bryan Rowzee reported in that same issue of the Ravena News Herald on “Should backyard chickens be allowed in Ravena?” Now that’s certainly a monumental concern when compared to the Carver Laraway destruction projects. Maybe Mr Rowzee should restrict his writing to discussions of backyard chickens. The Ravena News Herald gave the chickens as much space in the June 5th issue of the Ravena Rag as it did to the Bridge scandal. What does that tell you?

Seems security isn’t a big thing with former Coeymans Police Department Lieutenant Kerry Thompson, now Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple’s “assistant chief deputy,” after he had been recalled apparently following the incident where Coeymans police officers Danielle Crosier and Peter McKenna got into some mischief on Thompson’s Sheriff’s Department laptop, which Thompson stupidly neglected to secure.

Apparently, the Coeymans police department has so little to do when they’re not executing illegal search warrants issued by short-order-cook town justices or worse, and the cops have so little supervision when they have nothing to do while collecting your taxpayer dollars, that they have to perpetrate criminal activity themselves. So, the allegations go, ex-Coeymans ” deputy chief” and current chief of Coeymans police, Gregory Darlington’s brother-in-law, Kerry Thompson leaves his laptop unsecured and Danielle Crosier and Peter McKenna get the bright idea to play a little joke on the Albany County Sheriff’s Department. They log on Thompson’s laptop that is equipped with C.A.D. or Computer Aided Dispatch, a system you’ll find in most police cruisers these days (see below for more information), and from Thompson’s computer, dispatched an Albany County Deputy on a wild-goose chase. That’s not only ultra-childish, stupid, it’s also a crime even if two idiotic Coeymans cops do it!

So, why didn’t we hear about this before? Well, we all know that Coeymans police chief Gregory Darlington gets away with murder and so do his faves in the department. Why do you think DoDo Darlington put Kerry Thompson, his brother-in-law, on the payroll as his “administrative assistant” for more than $31.00/hr while Thompson was already full-time in the Albany County Sheriff’s Department. Why did Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple allow this, anyway? We also know that Darlington’s wife works in the Albany County D.A.’s office. We also know that the Darlington-Boehm-Rogers-Dolan plan by funning (or running) Michelle Maddage to be Coeymans town clerk was to get Darlington’s wife a part-time job in the Clerk’s office. But voters put a stop to that plan. We also know that Darlington’s plan is to leave the Coeymans police department and join up with his wife in Albany County District Attorney David Soares’ office. Don’t you see the corruption piling up here?

Darlington has been bad news for Coeymans since the sick decision was made to put him in the chief’s office. Once there, he managed to f-up all of former professional chief Scott Giroux’s clean-up and sanitation work in the Coeymans p.d. One of the first stupid moves Darlington did was to re-hire two duds Giroux had fired: Dirty-Hands Jerry Deluca and Todd Polverelli. (The facts also indicate that Deluca and Polverelli were hired illegally, not in compliance with civil service law. Same applies to Danielle Crosier. How and why was she selected to be the RCS CSD police presence in the high-school? We’d like a statement on that information.) It went downhill from there.

Backward and Downhill

Back to the playful duo Crosier and McKenna. Well, when the perps were found out, Thompson suspended both Crosier and McKenna. But get this: Crosier got only a week’s suspension, while McKenna got a month! Why the discrepancy? You might well ask. Seems the rumor is that Thompson and Crosier had a little thing. So that must have played into Mr Thompson’s real professional and objective evaluation of the seriousness of the crime. But why no criminal charges? Just suspension? With pay? Are the Coeymans police above the law?

Or have we so quickly forgotten just a couple of special treatment cases, like:

• Kerry Thompson’s son’s theft and vandalism of campaign signs. Disappeared!
• How about Kerry Thompson’s other delinquent son (is he the dispatcher at the Coeymans p.d.?) who took down mailboxes while speeding; never charged. Disappeared!
• Kerry Thompson’s refusal to take a harassment complaint by a local woman (but taking the complaint of the same harasser against a local official and prosecuting it!)
• Dawn Roger’s daughter’s multiple DUI’s.  Disappeared!
• Tom Dolan’s son’s drug-related incidents. Disappeared!
• Harassment charges against Dirty-Hands Jerry Deluca and Matt Miller. Disappeared!
• Obstruction of justice charges against DoDo cop Gregory Darlington. Disappeared!
• Investigations against Cathy Deluca for falsely filing a report. Disappeared!
• Failure to investigate/obstruction of  justice by Dirty Hands Jerry Deluca  felony charges (Scott Lendin). Disappearied!
• And many others, still DISAPPEARING…

You might also ask where Thompson’s bosses, Apple and Darlington, were when all of this was going on? Well, Darlington probably had his head up his arse as usual, monitoring what’s going on in the town clerk’s office upstairs—or, more likely, he was collecting his paycheck while playing Mr Mom at home. Craig Apple, Albany County Sheriff, was probably trying like hell to figure out how to get Thompson out of the Coeymans police department without coming off with egg all over his face.

So, Thompson’s embarrassed as hell by Crosier and McKenna. Two Coeymans police make asses of themselves, commit a serious crime, and get suspended (McKenna, it seems, just can’t seem to stay out of police trouble. He got fired from the Albany Police only to be hired by that jackass Darlington!). Darlington’s on another planet, as usual. Dirty-Hands Jerry Deluca’s off to the side with psycho-cop Ryan Johnson sniggering. This is the Return of the Living Brain-Dead to Coeymans!

OK, Craig & Bill, Come Clean:
Are these facts true?
Do you think if we citizens or the media call them we’d get the truth?

So what does Craig Apple, Albany County Sheriff, do? Well, he doesn’t waste any time in setting up a plan to get Thompson out of Coeymans real quick. He “promotes” Thompson to a desk job as “assistant chief deputy” in an elaborate dog-and-pony-act at taxpayer expense, so that it looks like he needs Thompson back in the Sheriff’s department to fill this “important” desk job. We reported on this silly smoke-and-mirrors act in our article (click on this link to read it), Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple: Has the Apple Gone Rotten? The whole thing was so obvious only the mind of a law enforcement person would be dull enough to think the public would swallow that rancid oyster.

After that, Kerry Thompson resigns from his position with brother-in-law Darlington and moves back home to the Albany County Sheriff’s Department so that Apple can keep closer tabs on him and keep him out of trouble. It’s absolutely scandalous, incredible that all of this is being paid for by taxpayer dollars!

This was all discussed, apparently, in a closed-door executive session by the Coeymans town board and kept real hush-hush because it was just before the elections and just before the big Böhm-Darlington-Thompson special press conference on Coeymans’ phony drug busts and the fabricated drug problem. That failed, too, and Boehm and Rogers lost their town board seats. Puts Darlington and the Coeymans police department in a real scary place right now, because Tom Boehm, Tom Dolan  and Dawn Rogers were the only thing separating Darlington and his criminals in uniform from the door and the street! Come January there should be some major changes happening. But the public was unfairly kept in the dark while Darlington, Boehm, Dolan and Rogers were promoting psycho-cop to sergeant, and giving that lunatic a pay raise. Criminals at play, it seems.

Our questions: Why are Crosier and McKenna still in uniform? Why are they still on the payroll of the Coeymans police department? If these facts are true and they did illegally access Thompson’s laptop and did actually send a Sheriff’s deputy on a wild-goose chase, why weren’t criminal charges pressed and a public investigation launched? What right does the Coeymans town board and the Coeymans police department have to keep the public, the taxpaying public in the dark? Why does the generally law-abiding, hard-working, honest resident and taxpayer have to pay for these dregs and then be subject to their abuse, too? Where was the media when all of this was happening? Where is the media NOW?

What is C.A.D.?

Computer-aided dispatch, or CAD, is a system used by police and other emergency response dispatchers to log, track and assign calls for service. Once performed with a notebook or laptop  computer, a punch-card and a file cabinet, CAD systems allow duty officers and law enforcement officers to check on for service, respond to calls, input call data and access call history almost instantly. This allows officers to get much-needed information faster and reduces radio traffic. It also allows police supervisors to better monitor their subordinates and manage the work load of the shift.

The CAD is also the system that stores reports, notes and basic information after a call for service is completed.

The Mobile Digital Computer or MDC / Mobile Digital Terminal is the computer program that allows dispatchers and law enforcement officers to communicate between each other in “real-time”.

Basically, dispatch receives a 911/non emergency call requiring Police response. The dispatcher generates a “CAD card/event/case number” and types the information related to the call into their computer. Dispatch “sends” the “call” to the responding Officers “MDC”. The Officer reads the “call card” hits a “key” to show “en route” and then “on scene.” After handling the “call”, the Officer enters whatever pertinent information (could be a two sentence disposition or a full report) and sends the completed “CAD” entry to the main “database”.

Thats the only way we know to explain it, however the system allows MUCH more than just receiving calls, etc, it is also used to “run” registrations,licenses, warrants checks and numerous other LE related “applications”.

The actual “acronym” for different agencies will differ also. We have only heard of the systems being called “CAD”, “MDC (Mobile Digital Computer)” and “MDT (Mobile Data Terminal)”, but we imagine they all work very similarly.

It’s obvious that these systems can be abused by the simple-minded and by criminally minded law enforcement personnel who have other agendas and are willing to break the law and the rules of confidentiality to obtain privileged information. (Right Jerry Deluca?).

New Baltimore voters have a very clear choice this election day: Give up the town of New Baltimore to the O’Rorke control freaks or take back the town of New Baltimore and re-establish democracy and resident participation in our local government. It’s truly ironic, the Republican / Conservative / Independence candidates of the Dellisanti team are more democratic than those running on the democrat ticket, most of whom couldn’t get real political party endorsments and are running either as no-party candidates or as candidates of obscure “parties” like the “Our Town Party” and the “Responsible to the People”—Lord knows what crackpot politics those parties endorse. (Or they’re running on a democrat line but aren’t democrats!). Here’s our take on the VOTE NO! candidates in New Baltimore.

Local Catskill-Hudson Newspapers the Ravena News Herald, the Green County News, the Daily Mail all call them “Democratic Candidates.” That’s an outright lie, misinformation in your local papers (Thank you! Jessica Mosier of the Catskill-Hudson Newspapers/Register Star!). Only Angelis is a registered democrat. O’Rorke and Brooks are not registered or enrolled in any political party. Jordan, a Republican, is running on the democrat line because the Republicans didn’t want her (she has nothing to offer). O’Rorke, Schrauf and Brooks are “endorsed” by what they’re calling the “Our Town Party“, and Jordan is endorsed by the “Responsible to the People” party. Ever heard of them? Nor have we! This bunch must have cooked up those parties at one of their drinking orgies at Donovan’s Shady Harbor, the former Boathouse bar, the official New Baltimore Dem watering hole. (Just what New Baltimore needs in the town hall: a bunch of boozed-up freely fornicating cows!) The Independence Party dumped the entire bunch and put its support behind the Delisanti team The O’Rorke witches coven is not endorsed, apparently, by any mainline party.

Here’s where we get into some real evil stuff. Where do we start with Susan O’Rorke? She never made a commitment to any political party and is an NOP on the voter registry. O’Rorke’s party is O’Rorke, and it’s her party. The residents of New Baltimore are not invited. She didn’t get the Independence endorsement but then the entire democrat mob in New Baltimore got snubbed by the Independence Party. She’s hated by her own town board except for the brown-nosers Christopher Norris and Lisa Benway but their time is almost up and they’ll get the boot in the next round of elections. O’Rorke is noted for her violation of free speech at New Baltimore town meetings, her discriminatory practices, her circumventing the law to make unlawful purchases for her favorites, her practice of excluding the public in New Baltimore government. Susan O’Rorke and her small group of selected apes have taken over New Baltimore town hall and have locked the doors to the rest of the community. It’s really time for a change in New Baltimore and the Dellisanti team seems to be the perfect group to bring that change. New Baltimore can’t survive another four years of O’Rorke-ism.

This is another control freak who is a member of the O’Rorke private party. Angelis close to the lunatic fringe in New Baltimore that want to classify the locals as “Newbaltimorons” together with the other separatist elitists, the Rosses, the Nightons and their crowd, who wan to make New Baltimore their little gentry paradise. The O’Rorke private clubhouse, the New Baltimore town hall, and its current lunatic occupants are dead set on creating two classes of residents in New Baltimore: them and us. The once noble New Baltimore Conservancy has mutated into a private club of snobs, Angelis being one of the leading snobs. Angelis and her allies, the notorious and nefarious Ross pair, Joan and Bitter Bob, the local New Baltimore wholesale hate-mongers, together with their loose-cannon neighbor, John Luckacovic, all joined in a lawsuit several years ago, when they sued the Town of New Baltimore to keep public water out of New Baltimore. With people like Angelis, who want to make New Baltimore a country-club town for downstaters, and push everyone else into the Hudson, are the biggest enemies of progress and development in New Baltimore. It’s people like Angelis and her crowd who will ensure that any worthwhile interests in the area will continue to jump over New Baltimore to invest in Coxsackie. That’s how the Lewis regime worked before O’Rorke, and that’s how the O’Rorke regime has been working. Put Angelis in town hall on the New Baltimore town council and get ready to feel a really heavy heel on your necks. Again, we can’t say enough in favor of the Dellisanti team who are offering real alterantives to the tyranny and dictatorship we’ve been living under in New Baltimore under O’Rorke, the female version of Ravena’s mayor John “Black Mamba” Bruno, and Angelis is the New Baltimore version of Bruno’s hatchet-woman, witch-on-a-stick, youth-hating Nancy Biscone-Warner! No! Thank you!

Hilary Schrauf is running on the same lack of principles as O’Rorke and Angelis. In fact, Schrauf is running literally on the same campaign sign as Janet Angelis, that’s how close they are in so many ways (tsk, tsk). Schrauf has been cashing in as paid coordinator of the New Baltimore Farmers Market. Yep! Schrauf’s for community if she gets paid for it. Shrauf is actually quite unknown, probably because she’s a member of the private insider club and won’t have much to do with the majority of residents of New Baltimore, unless it’s to hit them up for their votes (and then she probably overdoses on hand sanitizer!). The bottom line is this: Schrauf is an insider with O’Rorke and Angelis and the rest of the private club in New Baltimore town hall. That bunch has their own agenda, being elitists, and it doesn’t include the rest of us. If you want to hand over the town of New Baltimore to a bunch who want nothing to do with the rest of us, Schrauf is your pick.

Diane Jordan (endorsed by the “Responsible to the People Party”) running for New Baltimore tax collector
Well, in our discussion of poor nitwits manipulated by their handlers to be clowns, Diane Jordan is the Michelle Maddage of New Baltimore. She has no education, no qualifications, and is disloyal. She couldn’t get the Republican endorsement to run for the office of tax collector so she changed parties, and registered democrat to run with her insider friends in New Baltimore town hall. Her husband, by the way, is Denis Jordan, of the New Baltimore Highway Department, the same Denis Jordan for whom Susan O’Rorke illegally spent more than $100,000 on a new truck, a new toy for Denis, and now they want to give Diane Jordan a new playpen, the office of New Baltimore tax collector. Well, friends and neighbors, there’s a bit too much favoritism going on in New Baltimore town hall for my taste, and Diane Jordan is not the kind of person I want cashing my tax checks.
Jordan’s Republican/Conservative/Independence opponent, Sally Russo, is everything that Diane Jordan is not: Sally Russo, a member of the Dellisanti team, is educated, experienced, has a degree in accounting and is married to a CPA. Sally is the kind of person we need to be handling anything money. Sally Russo is not an insider, either, and is a first-generation, fresh-baked American citizen. Yes! Sally loves this country so much she renounced her British citizenship to become and American. It doesn’t get much better than that!

Janet Brooks (not enrolled or registered in any political party, endorsed by the “Our Town Party” but running on the democrat line) running for New Baltimore town clerk
This is a disappointing case, indeed. If you asked us four years ago, Brooks wouldn’t be included in this discussion of VOTE NO! candidates. But recent developments in the town of New Baltimore and a number of incidents that have come to our attention in recent months have made us re-think the Brooks question and we have to say that we have very serious concerns about Janet Brooks’ fitness to continue as New Baltimore town clerk. Brooks has become tainted by being too friendly with the O’Rorke crowd at the expense of the rest of us. She has lost much of the independence and non-partisanship that a town clerk needs to have in order to serve the community without judgment. We have been harboring doubts about Brooks’ sincerity and authenticity, her genuineness. Recent allegations of questionable morality have also blackened her record. Even more recently, there are allegations that she was involved in the intimidation of a New Baltimore senior to remove the Dellisanti team’s signs from the elderly widow’s property. We have received the report, which at this time is still unconfirmed, that “a woman from the church (the New Baltimore Reformed Church) took down the signs.” The report also indicates that the “woman from the church” took down the signs even before asking the property owner. The New Baltimore Reformed church has been breeding more sinners than saints these past couple of years, and now the allegations only serve to buttress that local opinion. But this is not about church, it’s about hypocrisy, about those who attend church and make the appearance of being good Christians, the love-thy-neighbor types, who then become villains outside. Hypocrisy is one of the gremlins we need to remove from our local government because hypocrisy is deceit, dishonesty. While we regret to have to Vote NO! to Janet Brooks, we are left with no other choice if we are to remain true to our principles and to our desire to clean up local government, re-establish democracy, and return New Baltimore to the people.

Well, there you have it. Our reasons for recommending that  New Baltimore voters VOTE NO! on the above candidates. If our readers want to know more about many of these candidates, we have published quite a few articles about them in the past, and you can easily search this blog for those articles.

We are not telling our readers how to vote but only to be sure to vote and when voting, to know something about the people you are voting for. We publish stuff they don’t want you to know and you won’t find in their newspaper profiles. That’s for certain.

New Baltimore Town Hall Thinks We’re All Stupid!

For years the local democrat machine in New Baltimore grabbed the Independence Party endorsement; this year the Independence Party saw right through O’Rorke and her crowd and denied them their endorsement. Instead, the Independence Party handed its endorsement gratefully to Dellisanti, Ruso, VanEtten, Russo, and Vadney. Those candidates now have three lines! Republican, Conservative AND Independence. What’s more, if you drive through the town of New Baltimore, you’ll see Dellisanti, Ruso, VanEtten, Russo, and Vadney campaign signs (at least the ones that democrat Janet Angelis & Schrauf and their crowd have not removed, stolen, or run over) outnumbering their opponents’ signs about 3:1! That should tell you something about the overwhelming popular support of the Dellisanti, Ruso, VanEtten, Russo, and Vadney team.

Voters in the recent primaries voiced their preferences, too. O’Rorke got all of 4 (FOUR!) votes!!!! That’s got to tell you something about the confidence level this community has in the O’Rorke mob. Talk about a loser!!!

 The Dellisanti team, Ruso, VanEtten, Russo, and Vadney, are outspoken about the need for residents to participate in the democracy they are a part of. At a recent meet-the-candidate event they emphasized the need for residents to come out, to participate in town board meetings, to speak up, to tell their elected officials what needs to be done, what residents want done. That’s quite a change from what it’s been like for the past decade or so, and now where the O’Rorke Gestapo have occupied New Baltimore Town Hall.

Here’s an example of the O’Rorke democracy and her idea of community participation. Gaveling! In fact, at a recent town board meeting O’Rorke gaveled (silenced) several community members who attempted to speak by telling them: “You have no right to speak!” But certain others, the O’Rorke crowd, a very small crowd indeed, get to say what they like when they like. It’s real cozy.

The O’Rorke majority recently cancelled the standing rules for board meetings that let everyone know the rules of procedure for participation in board meetings (it’s still on the New Baltimore website at the time of this writing but it’s no longer valid). New Baltimore democrat party committee chairperson Diane Lewis (wife of former New Baltimore town supervisor, David Lewis), praised the O’Rorke clique on the town board for depriving the residents and voters of New Baltimore of their constitutional, First Amendment rights to political expression and free speech. Now O’Rorke controls what you say at New Baltimore town meetings. How’s that feel?

Not only that, O’Rorke has connived to make certain the public is not involved in the decision-making process. Normally, when three (3) committee members meet to decide on spending or any other decision, a public meeting has to be held. But if less than three (3) meet to make the decision, no public meeting is required. So, what does O’Rorke and her monkeys do? Simple: They make their committees only two persons, O’Rorke being one of them. Here’s an example: O’Rorke’s highway committee recently purchased a truck for more than $100,000 without public inputs. HOW? Well, Susan O’Rorke and her close friend and supporter, town board member, Chris Norris, are the Highway Committee in New Baltimore. So, Denis Jordan wants a new toy, O’Rorke and Norris are more than happy to buy him one…illegally (well, almost)! And that was one of the points the Comptrollers office picked up on in the recent audit! Did you want to see O’Rorke and Norris crap their pants when they got found out?

We have the minutes of the New Baltimore meetings and the paperwork showing the unlawful purchases. The Comptroller’s audit has not yet been published but we have copies of O’Rorke’s groveling response to the lashing she and her cronies got from the State! We’ll the letter and the other documents as soon as we have them scanned.

You’d like to see some honesty and integrity in your local government, at least, wouldn’t you? Well, chew on this for a while: Susan O’Rorke has not declared a party. She’s not a democrat, not a Republican, she’s an NOP, no political party. Excuse us, she’s for O’Rorke. That’s her party: the O’Rorke party. She actually stands for nothing but herself. No platform, no principles. O’Rorke. It’s also deceiving the public, the voters of this town of New Baltimore, because most people think she’s a democrat. She’s not. Look at the voter registration records. Ask her!  O’Rorke is for O’Rorke.

How we feel or elected officials in New Baltimore have treated us.

And you’d think that once you register as a Republican or a democrat or something, you’d be loyal and support that party. Wouldn’t you? Well, let’s take a closer look at Chris Norris, a sitting O’Rorke supporter on the New Baltimore town board, and Diane Jordan, who is running for tax collector. Both are listed as registered Republicans (Jordan is a registered Republican but because she couldn’t get the Republican endorsement, is running with the democrats). We remind you, both are on the voter rolls as registered Republicans. So, Chris Norris and Diane Jordan, wouldn’t you like to explain WHY? you both contributed $100 to the New Baltimore democrat club? Why are you contributing money to the opposition if you are Republicans? Where we come from that’s called betrayal, disloyalty. But that shouldn’t be a surprise to New Baltimore residents, you’ve been betraying us all along!

So, dear readers, there you have this week’s exposé of the O’Rorke mob in New Baltimore Town Hall. Yes, it’s true that we didn’t mention the fairy tale of the town clerk and the Greene County Sheriff’s deputy but we’re waiting for details on that little fairy tale of bawdy romance (or the forbidden f$^&) in New Baltimore Town Hall. Could be a fairy tale, could be fact. But we aren’t going to say until we have confirmation from our sources.

Of course, the town of Coeymans board members didn’t utter a peep in response. In fact, they should all have been tarred and feathered and run out of town.

But it doesn’t stop there. We, at least did some of the research and obtained some really scary numbers for you neighbors in the town of Coeymans to choke on.

With the cooperation of some interested readers, we found out that MidHudson Cablevision does offer an Internet connection service only for customers who don’t want to use MidHudson’s television offerings. But look at the cost:

• MidHudson Cable television package includs cable TV and Internet: about $78.00/month
• MidHudson’s stand-alone cable Internet (Internet only, no TV) connection ( repeat: no TV service): about $73.00/month

So, it looks like there’s no savings at all if you just want an Internet connection only, like most other providers like Time Warner provide at reduced cost. MidHudson Cablevision is going to gouge you no matter what you want, they do it because they can. The town boards of Coeymans (and New Baltimore) have seen to that.

But wait! Maybe the brilliant elected Coeymans town board negotiated special substantial discounts for Coeymans residents owing to the extraordinary 15-year contract. Or did the Coeymans town board negotiate to obtain frozen rates for 5 or 10 years so that residents would not have to face constant increases and added service charges. After all, that would be fair. MidHudson gets a 15-years exclusive concession for providing cable and Internet service, and residents get special rates or frozen rates. Do you think that’s what happened?  Let’s ask. You ask and I’ll ask.

But any report would be incomplete if we didn’t look at speed of service. But that’s kinda difficult if you don’t know how to do the number crunching, because the suppliers, especially Midhudson Cablevision, play the misinformation game here, too! Here are some examples (we’ve converted the megas and the kilos for you):

Time Warner offers the same service, 3 Mb for about $29.99. Midhudson Cablevision offers the same thing to us for $72.95!

Here’s an interesting comparison, too: the average cost for equivalent services costs:

• in the USA: $47.00/month
• in South Korea: $38.00/month

Ever wonder why that is? Ever wonder why we’re years behind Europe and Asia with our cell phones and Internet services? Ask your elected officials. Ask them why US Corporations are holding back and why the US government is suppressing cleaner faster services! Think it might have something to do with money and greed?

But the insanity of giving one supplier exclusive rights to the community for 15 years is beyond belief! Looks like no other supplier will ever consider coming to Coeymans or New Baltimore and that means we keep our primitive, second-rate services for a real long time. Now that the Coeymans board has handed the gift of a 15-year exclusive franchise to backwoods MidHudson  no real provider is going to make the investment to come into the area and compete with MidHudson, so we’re dead in the water, folks!

More than 4,000 citizens participate in the rally, but it’s hushed up by the media. Why would that be?

Anyone who has even a minimum of historical knowledge knows that all of the worst dictatorships that ended up with citizens slaughtering each other started with a scapegoat and with politicians and so-called “leaders” telling the people that all of the drastic measures being taken were for the good and welfare of the country and its people. And the suckers believed it all…at least until they found themselves naked and unarmed being led into the camps and the gas chambers. The first step was to find someone to hate, then it was out-and-out war to defeat the enemy, then it was the slogan that the people have to sacrifice to win the great battle, then it was you have to accept giving up some of your rights, then all of your rights, then…well you know the rest of the story, don’t you? If you don’t, you’d better find out real quick!

Our society is turning into a mass of paranoid lemmings who will listen to just about any misinformation and lies and believe it if it helps them to deny the truth of what’s happening around them. This society is desperately in denial of the evil that America has become. We are living a lie of freedom and liberty because we no longer have freedom or liberty, and our so-called elected officials are whittling away at the emaciated body of Ms Liberty as we speak.

Well, Josie Biscone-Bruno, a trustee of the RCS Community Library, pulled no punches at the December 18, 2012, Ravena village council meeting, when she read the riot act to mayor John Bruno (was he alive at the meeting?) and cousin Nancy Biscone-Warner, wife of town justice Harold “Hal” Warner (under investigation by the NYS Commission on Judicial Conduct for possible ethics violations).

Josie Biscone-Bruno, bless her black little soul, lost it when the Village of Ravena tried to argue itself out of a corner when accused of a retaliatory rent increase amounting to about 33% imposed on the RCS Community Library. The outrageous rent increase becomes effective as of January 1, 2013 if the community library is still in its present location in the village hall building.

The Library was paying about $2783.50 a month in rent  before the village of Ravena deprived it of the activities room space. The library lost the activities room space because mayor John Bruno needed the space to store the $40,000 in used fitness equipment purchased with public funds, your money, for use in the illegal community fitness club. We’ve already reported extensively how the whole fitness club business was all done behind closed doors, in secret meetings, with no public inputs.

After the space was taken by mayor Bruno and his thugs, the library was still paying $2,408.50 (obviously with fewer services to offer the community). Now, this valuable community organization is being abused and raped with a 33% increase, clearly retaliation, and will have to pay more than $3,008.50 a month starting in January 2013!  It should be noted that in addtion to the rents paid to the village of Ravena, the RCS Community Library is paying an additional $375.00 to local churches to accommodate the activities done in the space now used to store the fitness equipment!

That’s about where Josie lost it and hauled into her cousin Nancy Biscone-Warner in a verbal exchange that made the World Wrestling Federation shows look like pre-school. You Go Girl! Kudos for Josie!

The rent increase was characterized correctly as retaliation. It’s really outrageous that the Village of Ravena should be continuing to punish an important educational and community service like the RCS Community Library for conditions clearly beyond its control.  Of course, Rocco Persico (email Rocco) was conspicuously absent from the meeting; could that be because his cousin, Don Persico, owns the building into which the library is to move, and who is behind schedule on the necessary renovations?

Mayor John “Braindead” Bruno impotently attempted to justify the many instances of abuse committed against the library by noting that the village had a commitment to the “employees” of the fitness center. He even suggested that the library was at fault for the delays in the renovations of the former Knights of Columbus hall on Main Street in Ravena. The man’s lost his senile mind! (Maybe that’s a good thing, it’s never really worked all that well!)

Well, our question continues to be how mayor Bruno and his thugs  could force through some illegal misuse of public trust to create a fitness center in a village where at least two have already failed* in just recent history, and in a village where no market studies have been done to gauge whether such an irresponsible waste of public funds would even break even.

*We have some conflicting information on whether or not one of the previous fitness businesses actually “failed.” We are willing to give the benefit of doubt, and accept that it is equally possible that the owners simply closed a ‘thriving business’ to move to Long Island, after having created the business and purchasing equipment. If anyone has more accurate information on the Fisk’s fitness center, we would be very happy to make a correction…and an apology.

And who are these “employees” to whom mayor Bruno is referring? Two or three of his close friends or family? And what about the commitment to the residents of the RCS community who want and need a library? Of course, the best interests of Bruno and his friends are far more important than the needs of the RCS community. Right? WRONG! Just ask Josie Biscone-Bruno!

Most people in this district probably don’t realize the impact of the village of Ravena’s screwing the RCS Community Library! Did you realize that the RCS Community Library is an non-profit organization serving the residents of the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District. The RCS Community Library service area includes the southern part of the Town of Bethlehem (Selkirk, South Bethlehem, and part of Glenmont), the Town of Coeymans, and the southeastern corner of the Town of New Scotland (Feura Bush), all in Albany County, plus the riverside hamlet of New Baltimore in the Town of New Baltimore, in Greene County. Taxes are 97% of the Library’s income and the tax base is the same as the school district’s. That’s why the Library’s budget was on the ballot with the 2012-13 school budget. If it’s costing the Library more to operate it’s costing taxpayers not only in Ravena but in the whole RCS district more to operate it. That’s all thanks to a senile mayor John Bruno (nominated to be the Godfather of the fitness club) and his thugs, which include Cathy Deluca (nominated to be manager of the fitness club), Nancy Biscone-Warner (nominated to be the fitness princess), and the rest of the community-hating Coeymanazis!

What does our very humiliated and disgraced teachers union representative and employee of the RCS School District, Matt “the Mutt” Miller, with all of his baggage have to say about an elected community representative who has done nothing but good for the community, but who has been made to suffer attacks from the Coeymanazis, we may very well ask.

RCS high school science teacher Matt Miller has a lot of baggage and isn’t the most credible spokesperson for any organization. This article reminds readers of this shady character’s history and provides an analysis and comparison of Matt Miller’s past and why he would be well advised to lay low, stay out of sight, and shut his mouth. But he’s too stupid to realize that his attacks on others only draw more attention to him and for the worst of reasons. We can conclude that parents and residents should take a closer look at the people in sensitive positions to whom our young people are exposed, and what kind of role models they represent, what morality they are exemplifying for our developing citizens. We suggest that teachers like Matt Miller are not the best we should offer in our schools. We can and should do better.

In fact, Matt Miller shows all the signs of a drowning, desperate man, grasping at anything floating by to save himself, even at a straw. Buzz is that he’s lost all effectiveness as a representative for the teachers union, he’s lost credibility, lost face, lost support of those he’s representing. That’s true, isn’t it Matt?

Matt Miller’s most recent gaff, there have been so damned many, I’ve lost track, is an example of repeated misinformation and distortion of facts that lead to our community believing a lie to be true.

I don’t think it’s necessary to repeat the lessons on sovereignty, autonomy, legal personhood, corporation because either you know or you don’t want to know. We are all sovereign which means we all have a right to govern ourselves and make decisions that affect us. Government is created to serve the people, not the other way around. That went out when we got rid of the king. But we are living in a perverse system, still. We allow ourselves to be drowned in lies that, if told to us often enough, we believe are true. Anyone with any intelligence and guts looks at the situation and becomes angry, very angry and does what he or she can to fix at least his or her personal situation.

I do draw the line, however, at my representatives in Washington and the Supreme Court giving corporations legal personhood and rights that I should be enjoying. Many of you marched to the corporations’ Black Friday and Extended Black Friday drumbeat, like a bunch of rats dancing to the tunes of the Pied Piper, to interrupt your family holiday meal to rush out and trample each other to get to buy crap the corporations have told you you need, most if it Chinese, and which will likely be either broken or you’ll be told is outdated by January 2nd. Pretty soon, Congress and the Supreme Court will give my toaster the right to vote.

So, my advice to anyone, but Matt Miller, especially, is that if you want to pick on “someone” for not paying taxes, go for the biggies: the corporations, your legislators, the 1%, and stop picking on the local working man.

The result of all of this is that the sheeple run to hide behind locked doors, and the wolves are free to wander the streets, to make the rules. But there are still a few intrepid, brave hearts that venture out to kick a wolf, or at least to throw a stone. Where are the rest of you when it’s happening right here in your community?

First of all, let’s do a little review: In May 2012, a school budget was passed under suspicious circumstances, circumstances that threw the RCS community into a scandal and led to investigations and audits by the state authorities. The RCS board of education was updated and the balance of power shifted. The citizen-business group (Krzykowski, Lukens, Robbins, Sylvester, Vadney) were now in the majority and the teachers clique (Engel, Reville, Latter, Whalen), all teachers or married/closely related  to teachers, were now the minority. With more than $42 million at stake, the teachers clique and their supporters started to fight really dirty, and the misinformation and downtalking was out of control.

The entire scenario was complicated by the involvement of Matt Miller, the teachers union rep, and former Elizabeth “Betsy” Smith, teacher and then superintendent, who was totally incompetent and had no control over anything, except padding her retirement check. She announced her intention to retire giving short notice and jumped ship.

The Coeymanazis, a group of loudmouthed hypocrites who lost all credibility once the voting irregularities were made the subject of public investigation, and their hyped up claims and promises could not be backed up, stood by and got desperate. They upped the ante by continuing their attacks on Mr Rodney Krzykowski, but also instigated a botched up frame up of the school board president, Mr J. Vadney, whose family was threatened and even attacked, and they spewed unsavory comments about other citizen-business boardmembers through the Times Union (a.k.a. the Times Useless) newspaper and the Times Union blogs, until they were caught using multiple phoney names to post multiple comments.

None of the Coeymanazis have any official positions, except for Matt “the Mutt” Miller, who is the RCS school district teachers union representative. Mr Miller has his own baggage to check, as you’ll see as you read on.

First of all, let’s not be mistaken regarding Mr Matt Miller. He is a teacher and he is the local representative of the New York State United Teachers (NYSUT). His interests are in protecting the rights of the teachers and promoting their interests. He has no interest as union representative in protecting your children, parents’ interests, or the community.

Here is the NYSUT mission statement. See if you can find students, parents, community anywhere in it:

And Mr Miller is working a reduced teaching load (2.5 hours) and devotes the rest of his day to his union work. Mr Miller receives his full teacher’s salary ($80,000+), full benefits, professional enhancement perqs, etc. at your expense. In other words, you are paying his teacher’s salary, the majority of which is going to fund his union work. That’s like Congress funding the salaries of the Washington gun, pharmaceutical, or automobile manufacturers lobbies!

Quite frankly, I don’t really care if this arrangement is in his contract. It’s wrong. If he’s doing union work at the school, the union should be reimbursing the district for the time he spends as union rep. Or, if it’s so important to Mr Miller, maybe Mr Miller should do his union work on his own time or take personal or vacation time to do it. Or the Union should pay Miller directly. After all, the New York State Teachers Union apparently isn’t hurting for money, judging by their building at 800 Troy Schenectady Road in Latham, New York. It’s incredible!

Which brings us to a subject near and dear to our hearts: Mr Matt Miller’s double dipping. Yes, we consider Miller to be a double-dipper. Worse still, we point to the fact that until the current RCS board of education majority put a stop to it, Miller was actually triple-dipping! Yes! Triple-dipping. Your darling Matt Miller, part-time teacher getting a full-time salary at your expense, was actually getting an additional $10,000 payment (some say as much as $18,000) a year to be district energy manager: He told people to switch off lights, for example, turn off computers, close windows when the heat was on. DUH! That was being paid for the same time Miller was (1) supposed to be teaching, (2) doing his union work, (3) playing energy manager. Triple-dipping at taxpayer expense.

One of the very first actions taken by the new majority (Krzykowski, Lukens, Robbins, Sylvester, Vadney)  on the RCS school board under president John Vadney and vice-president Mike Robbins, supported by all of the citizen-business members and opposed by all of the teachers clique, was to dump Miller and his energy manager racket. Needless to say dear Matt Miller was not a happy camper and it seems had vengeance in his bald little head: he always had something to say about parents filing grievances for injustices and abuse done to their children, now Matt Miller files a grievance against the RCS school district. But that’s not all, he launches a campain of negative statement against the district, too.

Matt Has Reason to Feel Depressed

Well, if the teachers were doing their jobs and Matt Miller were doing his teaching for which he was being very well paid, maybe our graduation rates wouldn’t have been in the 70% range. Think about that. Maybe the teachers and the students would have had brains enough to turn off the lights, too!

Well, the citizen-business majority of the RCS board of education (Vadney, Robbins, Krzykowski, Lukens, Sylvester), after having gotten rid of Elizabeth “Betsy” Smith, took the step of hiring a proven heavy-hitter, no-nonsense, superintendent, Dr Alan McCarthy, whose experience, wisdom and know-how kept the Vorheesville school district in the high 90% range in graduation rates.

The teachers clique, and especially union rep Matt Miller, saw the writing on the wall. Dr McCartney would not put up with their antics, so they went on a smear campaign, led by the teachers clique (Engel, Reville, Latter, Whalen), the Coeymanazis (led by Jerry and Cathy Deluca), and of course, Matt “the Mutt” Miller, the teachers union representative. Failed again. McCartney took control, held meetings, gave instructions, and had the mess under control and assumed command. Bravo! Dr McCartney!

Dr Alan McCartney was and is a force to be reckoned with and knows how to handle obstreperous and unruly children, even if they happen to be teachers. So it was, after a public outburst performance by Matt Miller, Miller and Dr McCartney had a “a cordial meeting of the minds,”  according to a reliable source. Our interpretation: Miller was put on notice.

Dr McCartney is preparing his justification and proposal for reinstating the 5 p.m. bus run for students who stay at school for remedial support; the justification will be  presented to the RCS Board of Education for consideration. Dr McCartney is making this important proposal by finding the funds already there–that means without it costing taxpayers more–to provide remedial help for students lagging behind (why would that be if RCS teachers are so great?), and forcing the teachers to stay and provide the remedial help. Of course, this doesn’t go over very well with the teachers, the teachers clique, the teachers union,  and least of all with Matt Miller, the district teachers union representative. Imagine that! Teachers are being held accountable for what they’re being paid to do! Added services at no additional cost to the taxpayer! The sun’s starting to shine again on RCS!

Under superintendent Elizabeth Smith, bullying and student abuse was rampant in the RCS schools, especially at the high school. We’ve already published the fact that there is evidence that teacher Matt Miller was involved in inciting acts of bullying and placing students at risk. The bullying was common knowledge, even parents were being treated with disrespect, the athletics coaches were abusing students, and the list goes on. Where were the teachers while all of this was happening? Where were the principals? Where was Elizabeth Smith? Where was Matt Miller? Yes, that’s all history now. But the disease is not cured until you cut the entire cancer out, leave a single cancer cell in the body and it can flare up again! There’s still disease in the RCS school district that needs to be excised before we can say the disease is cured.

This week an article appeared on the RCS School District website that reported on the RCS Greenhouse, Community Greenhouse Project To Benefit RCS Students in which Matt Miller is mentioned for his contribution, and of course the teachers get top billing, while the real promoters and workers are relegated to a list. Well, the record shows that one of the principal obstacles to that greenhouse was none other than Matt Miller and his gang. So what’s new. We’re still giving postive honorable mention to people who obstruct progress. Nothing new but things are changing, fast.

(By the way, I think it’s time that the articles that appear on that RCS School District website start to give names of the persons who write them. We’d like to know whose opinion we are reading. Isn’t that fair? After all it’s a public information source for community and residents and we’d like to know who’s doing the writing.)

Matt Miller is just a small fish swimming in a cesspool of bigger caprophages (shit-eaters). Here are just a couple of examples that we’ve areadly reported on but we feel you need to be reminded:

• Coeymans supervisor Flach together with Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple has proposed a gem of a proposal for eliminating the Coeymans Police Department and replacing it with a local, professional law enforcement force provided by the Albany County Sheriff. Coeymans keeps local law enforcement but the uniforms and cars change, and the town saves about $500,000 each year in the first four years and about $750,000 in the fifth year. Anybody with half a brain would jump up and shout, “No-brainer! Yes!” But not coeymans board members Thomas “Tom” E. Dolan, Dawn Rogers, and Thomas A. Boehm, who oppose anything that might make a positive difference in Coeymans. Dolan, Rogers, and Boehm have to go! They’re losers. Say YES! to Supervisor Flach’s vision and YES! to Sheriff Apple’s offer to save us from the Coeymanazis!
• Put the Ravena village council and mayor John Bruno on the carpet and ask what the F***K is going on with this scandalous insider wheeling and dealing with the Bruno-Deluca-Warner Memorial Fitness Center. Everything went on behind closed doors from the decision to have a fitness center after they throw the library out, to who was going to run it (Cathy Deluca), to spending on their own $40,000 of taxpayer dollars to buy used fitness equipment and transport it from the failed fitness center location to space formerly occupied by the library. You citizens had no say whatsoever in all of this and you need to ask WHY? Someone has to be held accountable for this illegal action by mayor John Bruno and his minions.
• There’s an awful lot of croneyism, corruption, double-dealing, conflict of interest in the Ravena-Coeymans community.

You Thinking What I’m Thinking?

The first thing that comes to mind is the Michael Biscone Syndrome. That’s where sonny boy follows in daddy’s corrupt footsteps and takes over everything legal and illegal in the community. That’s where law steps all over justice and the scheister tells the courts what’s to be done. It’s where Michael J. Biscone operates both as village attorney and as a private attorney in matters involving the village, submits vouchers for payment as village attorney and makes money billing privately for basically the same thing. There are a lot of Biscone vouchers in Ravena village hall that need to be audited and audited NOW!  We might want also to ask how is Biscone misusing his corrupt positioning to cash in on village resources? Take for instance a certain trailor park on property owned by Guess who? on Winnie Avenue, and a certain water line that was laid to that property owned by Guess who? And there’s more, much more than that. But if you don’t ask you’ll never know.

• Main Street Ravena-Coeymans is fast becoming a ghost town. The ruse of leaving up business signs (Bush’s, Ledger, etc.) in front of long dead enterprises is losing its effect. I can’t help but think that instead of spending $40,000 and more on used fitness equipment the money could have been spent more wisely on some sort of promotion of the village and hamlet, perhaps to attract the interest of new enterprise. But given the record of retaliation, corruption and special-interests in this community there’s not the chance of a snowball in hell that anything is going to happen until we get the sinister plans of the Biscones, the Brunos, the Persicos, Albanos, Delucasand their Coeymanazi henchmenunder control and we take back the community. Clans like the Brunos and Biscones don’t want to share what they’ve got and don’t want to miss out on what little remains to be had. They’ll try all of their old tricks and a few new ones to suppress anything that isn’t going to benefit them. That’s the problem we have with the village idiots who serve them and the retaliation and intimidation that’s done to anyone who doesn’t bend over for them.
• And let’s not forget that BoBo-cop phoney, Jerry Deluca and his partner in conspiracies, Cathy Deluca. There’s so much about those two characters on this blog that all you have to do is start typing their name and you’ll get literally pages of incriminating facts.

And the henchmen doing their dirty work come from the most unlikely places, like in the schools. Right, Matt Miller?

So, good people, loyal readers, it’s time to really get together and make the good things happen that are already popping up, at least in the schools where Dr McCartney and the citizen-business board members are doing great positive things. With a great leader at the help of the schools and a community-oriented majority on the board, the schools appear to be in safer hands now than ever. Now that parents and residents can trust the superintendent and the citizen-business board members to protect their children and their interests, we can now turn all of that energy that was spread everywhere and concentrate that energy on improving the RCS community overall. We can start locally and start saying positive things about our superintendent and school board members and stop tripping them up only to bruise ourselves. Start thinking in positive terms. Let’s clean up the village Of Ravena and the hamlet of Coeymans by getting to the core of the corruption. Take back the community, people!

More than 3 Decades of Corruption! Throw Them Out!

Maybe You Like the Way the Duplicated and Frequently Contradicting Operations of the Ravena and Coeymans Local Government Wastes Your Tax Dollars. Some of Us Don’t.

And Maybe You Like Being Told in So Many Words You Don’t Count When Your Local Elected Officials (that is, the little Royal Court that Calls Itself the Ravena Village Council) Do as They Damned Please Without Asking Your Opinion…

And What’s Up With the Town Supervisor and Village Mayor and your Village Council and Town Board Officials, Aren’t They At All Interested in What’s Going on In the RCS School District? I’ve yet to see them attend a BoE meeting or make a statement at the public meetings. Shouldn’t there be some sort of collaboration or cooperation between the school district and the local government, after all, the children attend the school do live in their administrative territories. Or are the local politicos too busy conspiring, stealing, and duplicating efforts at your expense? (Coeymans Town Supervisor did send a “proclamation” a couple of months ago, but didn’t appear to present it; instead  superintentent Smith read it to the meeting.)

You’ll never vote them out, they’ve got more relatives to vote them in than New York City has cockroaches and bedbugs combined! (Or, you could put your own people on the ballot and campaign for them…)

My Advice is: Throw Them Out! There are laws and procedures to help you do that:

N.Y. PBO. LAW § 36 : NY Code – Section 36: Removal of town, village, improvement district or fire district officer by court
Any town, village, improvement district or fire district officer,…, may be removed from office by the supreme court for any misconduct, maladministration, malfeasance or malversation in office. An application for such removal may be made by any citizen resident of such town, village, improvement district or fire district or by the district attorney of the county in which such town, village or district is located, and shall be made to the appellate division of the supreme court held within the judicial department embracing such town, village, improvement district or fire district. Such application shall be made upon notice to such officer of not less than eight days, and a copy of the charges upon which the application will be made must be served with such notice.

N.Y. NYC. LAW § 9 : NY Code – Section 9: Removal of mayor
The mayor may be removed from office by the governor upon charges and after service upon him of a copy of the charges and an opportunity to be heard in his defense. Pending the preparation and disposition of charges, the governor may suspend the mayor for a period not exceeding thirty days.

N.Y. VIL. LAW § 4-412 : NY Code – Section 4-412:

The board of trustees
3(12) An officer or person who assumes to create a liability or appropriate money or property of the village without authority of law, or assents thereto, is personally liable for such debt, or to the village for such money or property. Each member of a village board present at a meeting thereof when such unlawful action is taken is deemed to have assented thereto, unless he expressly dissents and requests such dissent to be entered upon the minutes of the meeting. If any person shall have heretofore appropriated or shall hereafter appropriate money or property of the village, contrary to law, and the facts in relation thereto are known to the board of trustees, and, after this section as amended takes effect, such board fail for thirty days to bring an action against such person to recover such money or property, each member of the board having such knowledge shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and liable to removal from office unless within such period of thirty days he shall file with the village clerk a written request, signed by him, requesting the bringing of, such action or shall cause to be entered upon the minutes of a meeting of the board a motion made by him for the bringing of such action, or his vote in favor of such a motion.
