Some Food for Thought: Make the Change!

Attention All Independence Party Members
Caution: All Other Parties

Since the disgusting performance of the major political parties, the Republican and the Democratic, and the thuggery and bullying that went on during the so-called campaigns, which were nothing less than a neonazi display of mindlessness, we’ve been taking a serious look at the political party options in our Central New York region, and have come up with a real opportunity for voters who have had enough of being castrated and deprived of their voices in local and regional politics.

The Answer: the Independence Party.

We are making this statement based on our investigations of the Greene County New York Independence Party; we have serious reservations about the leadership of some of the surrounding counties, particularly Albany County, but Schoharie, Ulster, Columbia counties need some prodding to support each other. That’s a problem with their leadership (their committee chairs and executive committees) not with their membership. Independence party members, that is, the real people who register Independence Party are the salt of the earth. Real people, working hard to better their communities, and sick of the lies and stuffed shirts the major parties offer at each election.

True, there are some genuine people in the New York State Legislature, and one name pops up right away, Assemblyman Chris Teague, a Republican supported by the Independence Party, who is a genuine people  person. We’d like to hear from readers if there are any others like him. Just for kicks and giggles.

The Independence Party in Greene County, NY, has almost 2000 registered voters countywide, and that doesn’t count the non-Independence supporters from the other parties and those supporters not affiliated with any political party! The Greene County Independence Party has voter power big-time as well as being attractive to those Americans who want to put the “I” back in INDEPENDENCE, and leave those others who live in dependence on the failures of the Republican and Democratic Parties and those parties riding on their coattails, like the Conservatives and other useless fluff on the political scene.

Greene County’s Independence Party family is an active and outgoing group, who reach out to those neighbors looking for truth and integrity in politics, community organizations, everyone without exception or discrimination or snooty arrogance. The Greene County Independence Party is there to help rebuild our communities!

Some of the other counties in New York (like Albany, for example, who sold the Town of Coeymans down the river, backed a maverick sneak for Greene County Sheriff, among other scurrilous backroom political freak show acts), Greene County is up front, open, welcoming, honest. Anyone who knows Smalbany knows that if that were not true, we’d be singing another tune. Trust us!

IMPORTANT NOTE

Greene County Independence Party

There are those out there, mostly the puppets of the major parties, who have nothing good to say about anything if it’s not going their way. And there are those out there who are sucking us dry when it comes to our rights and liberties, even our guaranteed right of freedom of expression (free speech).

We mention this because in our extensive research we have found some absolutely ridiculous claims being made in the media regarding the Independence Party’s name, because it contains the word “Independence,” which they want to change! They claim that Independence in the party’s name “confuses people” and causes them to register thinking that they are registering as voters independent of any political party, that is, as non-party affiliated voters.

Anyone with half of a brain would discard such rubbish not only as idiotic but also offensive to the voters registering. Such a statement would mean that voters are ignorant, can’t read, or are totally stupid. It’s a half-hearted, desperate attempt to try to further confuse the people. We could use the same stupid reasoning when talking about the “Republican” or the “Democratic” parties, but we’re far too genuine to play their idiotic games. After all, just about every foundation document in our nation’s history contains the words “republic” or “independence,” less frequently “democracy” or “democratic.” They are part of the American political vocabulary and carry huge meaning and significance. But does that fact come up as confusing people?

When you register to vote please understand that when you register as an Independent you are registering as a member of the Independence Party; if you want to be completely “independent” of any political party, that is, if you don’t want to be associated with any party, you need to register NOP or no party affiliation. There is a difference and we want you to know about that fact.

The Editor

Everyone wants Independence votes!!!

In Greene County, the Independence Party includes almost 2000 registered voters in 12 communities. That’s a lot of votes and is the reason why candidates running for office at all levels run to the Independence Party to get the Independence voters to support them. This is extremely important for candidates who are concerned that their own party, the Republicans or the Democrats, won’t carry them through the election, or refuse to provide needed support, and they won’t have the votes to get elected. Everyone wants Independence votes!!!

Independence Party Members Working to Get their Own Independence Candidates on the Ballot

Enough is enough, people. Independence Party members in Greene County, at least, have to get together and stop giving the farm away! Why are Independence Party members wasting their time handing their votes to failing parties’ candidates? Why aren’t Independence Party members working to get their own Independence candidates on the ballot, and finally clean up local and regional politics for a starter?

They’re waking up and saying, “Hey! We have great numbers, a great vision, a great group of people working for the community. We can do it!”

The answer is likely that the Independence Party members simply don’t know the power they have! it’s the best-kept secret out there in politico-land. Why? Because, unlike Greene County Independents, the leadership in the surrounding counties see a good thing for themselves when they can play power-broker games with the major parties and their candidates. Most of the other counties and the State Committee are out of touch with everyone and everything but themselves. Greene County Independents are some of the first to wake up and smell the tires burning. They’re waking up and saying, “Hey! We have great numbers, a great vision, a great group of people working for the community. We can do it!”

Smalbany and many others agree, although some of those “others” are running scared and trying their best to kill any so-called “third party” from exposing the major parties’ failures. One such villain is Mario Cuomo, you know, the monkey-faced, angry, enraged governor of New York state who lets his only supporters out of the jails to endanger the lives of the rest of us. Cuomo is out with a vengeance to do a hatchet job on the third parties. He and his party handlers are running scared. They see the writing on the wall!

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, a Democrat, remarks in a speech: “We’re not going to make America great again. It was never that great,” and his audience gasps (August 15, 2018).That’s the kind of leadership our major parties provide!

Here are some numbers from the Greene County Independence Party. Note that Greene County is a small county in terms of population, and is historically Republican (old Republican, that is). So, when you get numbers like these in the major population centers in Greene County, it means something big is happening:

Registered Independence Party Members in Greene County NY (Source Greene BoE)

When you think about it, in most local elections a candidate is elected by 1 vote! Just think of all the recent elections where the major parties, the Republicans and the Democrats, couldn’t even come up with a candidate to run against the incumbent or the other party’s candidate, and then think that if the Independence Party ran a candidate, a real person, a people’s candidate, how different things would be.

Only Voters Change Things, Not the Politicians

The major parties are always preaching change but they never come up with any. Only the faces change; the circus goes on, business-as-usual. The fact is, only voters change things, not just registered voters but registered voters who truly want to make a difference, who truly want change, and who realize that they have the power right now right in their hands to make those changes. One of the first changes is to change your party affiliation from Republican or Democrat to Independence Party. Send the bastards a message!

Be Proud: Be Independence!

Fact is: The only thing you give up is your vote in the primaries which is not really a choice at all, because the party is telling you who you have to choose from. In the elections, you don’t have to vote for any major party candidate; you don’t have to vote for your party’s choice. You can vote for anyone you like! Use your head, not some label forced on you. Be yourself, appear at town and village meetings, be a good citizen and an even better neighbor, and be Independent. You’ll shine in the crowd, and you’ll be happier with yourself.

Acknowledgements: Special thanks to the late Mr George Acker, Sr., previous Chairman of the Greene County NY Independence Party (GCNYIP). Mr Acker was a devoted and committed man to the best interests of the Greene County Independence Party, his community, and his neighbors throughout Greene County. He will be greatly missed, Thanks also to Ms Irene Beede, Administrative Assistant, GCNYIP, and Ms Elisa Jarvis of the Greene County Board of Elections (GCBOE) for their much appreciated assistance and inputs making this report possible.

New Baltimore: Home of the PortaPotty Polls! Blumpkin* Ballots!

New Baltimore, Greene County, Albany County, perhaps the entire nation has a problem. The problem is that the country is run by political party committees that do their own thing without consulting with anyone outside of their own organizations.

Another problem is that once voters think they elect someone to public office, they may not have really elected anyone at all! That’s what happens in the case of the so-called “unopposed” candidate: they’re elected without a vote. But it’s even worse when the political parties are the ones who hand pick the candidates for you. That’s democracy? We think not!

  • = Poop.

First of all, anyone who gets on the ballot has to be approved by a party committee or at least get past the county board of elections, which is run by party members. Just check out your Greene County or Albany County Board of Elections and you’ll see entries for Repukelicans and Democraps, but no entries for independent voters. There’s where you have no choice.

Let’s look at what’s happening in the Town of New Baltimore at this very moment.

Great Boilin’ Blumkins, Batman!
They sure can cook up a mean batch of self-importance but can’t conjure up any answers …. or candidates!

You basically have the Democraps and the Repukelicans, who then go after the fringe parties like the Conservatives, Independents, etc. and negotiate for their “endorsements.”

Apart from the fact that the Democraps can’t come up with anything better than recycled losers and a racist rapper, they have no shortage of arrogance.

The New Baltimore Democrats are run by an all-white, all-female party committee who can’t come up with any real candidates and haven’t done so in the past two elections. They are incompetent but that doesn’t stop them from being biatches. A contributor recently asked the New Baltimore Democrap Committee a couple of very reasonable questions:

On Wednesday, September 5, 2018,  we wrote to Eileen Vosburgh, Janet Kash, Doreen Davis, and Beth Schneck, the Democratic Party Committee members for New Baltimore,

Good morning!

We are preparing an article on the state of elections in New Baltimore and would like to have your comments on the following:

(1) Mr James Eckl’s qualifications and commitments to the residents of the Town of New Baltimore if elected to be the New Baltimore legislator in the Greene County Legislature. Particularly, we’d like to know Why? Mr Eckl and the Greene County Democratic Committee feel he is qualified and the right choice to be Legislator.

(2) We would like to know Why? the Greene County Democratic Committee and the New Baltimore Democratic Committee were unable to put a candidate on the ballot to oppose Mr Alan vanWormer as candidate for the elected office of Town of New Baltimore Superintendent of Highways? (A similar question could be raised as to the fact of Mr Jeffrey Ruso’s unopposed candidacy for the office of Town Supervisor in 2017).

We are preparing a preliminary article in preparation for the September primaries and would appreciate your confirmation of receipt of this communication.

We would be grateful for your response to the above questions by September 7, 2018, before 5 p.m.

Janet Kash replies on Friday, Sep 7, 2018:

“The thing is, [name redacted], if you want to talk to a candidate, you contact the candidate. Thank you for your interest in the race.”

We followed up on our request writing on Friday, Sep 7, 2018 to to Eileen Vosburgh, Janet Kash, Doreen Davis, and Beth Schneck:

Good morning!

“Can you please confirm that you received our inquiry and that you are working on a response?”

Janet Kash replies on Sep 7, 2018, 4:02 PM

to me, copied to committee members Keltoneov, Doreen, Beth

“No reply is happening”

So much for transparency and openness in government. Those are Democraps talking. Those are the women who run the New Baltimore Democrap party and their response to YOU, the voters and residents of New Baltirmore.

Wouldn’t New Baltimore residents, tax payers, voters like to know whey the New Baltimore Democrats can’t come up with any candidates and, when they do, it’s only to recycle a multiple loser and to run a racist rapper for Congress?!?!

Antonio Delgado
Rapping Radical “God Bless Iraq” Dem challenges Republican for upstate congressional seat

If you think Congress is a bunch of clowns in business suits the Democraps want you to add a racist rapper to the mix.

Antonio Delgado has two things going for him:
His color will get him the Black vote, and his last name is likely to get him the Hispanic vote. His racism and total lack of values will get him the liberal Democrat vote.

“Meet New York City liberal Antonio Delgado. Before moving upstate to run for Congress as [House Democratic leader] Pelosi’s candidate, Delgado was an L.A. rapper called AD the Voice,” said the ad paid by the Congressional Leadership.

It then bleeped out provocative lyrics about having sex to a porno flick.

The ad also claimed that Delgado “laced his lyrics with extremist attacks on American values,” criticized American presidents and “minimized 9/11” as footage of the burning World Trade Center towers appeared on the screen.

[Source: “House candidate’s ‘offensive’ rap lyrics called out in attack ad” https://nypost.com/2018/08/17/house-candidates-offensive-rap-lyrics-called-out-in-attack-ad/, last accessed on October 3, 2018.]

[Editor’s Note: We have searched the web for lyrics of “Ad the Word,” Delgado’s pseudonym as a rapper, but they seem to have disappeared from the web. Normally, simply googling an artist’s name and lyrics or songs will turn up dozens if not hundreds of hits. Not so for Delgado! His keepers seem to have made everything disappear from the web…everything that would reveal the low-life character of Antonio Delgado, racist rapper!]

Perhaps you, residents, voters in New Baltimore would like to ask the Democratic Party the same questions. Here are their contact details:

Me likey New Baltimore! They likey one party elections!

The New Baltimore Repukelicans are no better. We’ve contacted incumbent Greene County Legislator Patrick “Pat” Linger (R), asking him to share with us and New Baltimore voters what he’s done during this past term in office. He’s running again on the Repukelican ticket asking to be re-elected, so wouldn’t you all, as voters and residents in Greene County and the Town of New Baltimore be interested in what Mr Linger thinks he’d done for you while in office. Here is what we asked Dingleberry Linger:

Dear Mr. Linger:

We note that you are running again for County Legislator and are actively tracking the candidates and balloting and campaign activities of your opponent parties and their candidates.

In view of the upcoming elections, we would like to ask you to provide the following information within the next 5 business days:

  • Please share your most significant accomplishments over this term of office as Greene County Legislator, and provide a brief description of each.
  • Please share your most significant accomplishments over this term of office as Greene County Legislator that most directly affect the residents and taxpayers of the Town of New Baltimore.
  • Please share your most significant support to any one resident or one family in the Town of New Baltimore as County Legislator.
  • What have been the most important pieces of legislation drafted by you during your term of office as Greene County Legislator?
  • What have been the most important pieces of legislation voted on (YES) vote during your term of office as Greene County Legislator?
  • What future legislation do you plan for Greene County as Greene County Legislator, if re-elected?

As incumbent seeking re-election, you will likely be running against Mr James Eckl. Briefly, what makes you a better choice for voters in New Baltimore?

Thank you for your prompt attention to this request. If you feel you need more time, please provide a reasonable date by which we can expect your responses.

We look forward to your responses.

And again:

Dear Mr Linger:

On August 15, 2018, we sent to you a request for information on your last term in office as Greene County Legislator.

We requested a response within a reasonable time and find now that more than 20 days have lapsed since our first contact requesting the information shown in the email below.

Please have the courtesy and show the respect your constituents deserve by either responding with your achievements or at least a refusal to provide your information. A non-response will be interpreted (1) as a statement that you have not accomplished anything in your last term, and (2) that you don’t have the respect for your constituents that is required for re-election.

If we do not hear back from you by Friday. September 7, 2018, 5 p.m., we will assume (1) and (2), above, and contact Mr James Eckl for his statements, and publish accordingly.

Despite our follow-ups, Repuklican Mr. Linger refused to respond in any way whatsoever so we must assume that Mr. Linger has ACCOMPLISHED NOTHING during his term in office as County Legislator representing the Town of New Baltimore.

Editor’s Comment: We do want to note that Mr Linger has plenty of time to spy on the activities of the other political hopefuls in New Baltimore and to share that information in great detail with his political cronies. Here’s a recent example:

Subject: Re: Petitions
Good afternoon,
I received the following from the County BOE last night in reference to what the Dems filed petitions for. I had to specifically ask, but Alan and I were also authorized by the Independence Party. We will have Republican, Conservative, and Independence lines, with no primary. There is a bit of good news for the Legislature, Durham is a (D) now and will switch back to (R).  Athens is (D) now and the incumbent, Palmateer, is not running so chances are good for the (R). Greenville is (R) now and the newcomer (C) is running unopposed at this point so we’ll keep that one.

This is what the Democrats filed today.  Now we know the landscape of what November will bring.

Independent (party for a day) petitions can be file up to August 21st.
We will be looking over their petitions to see if any chance to challenge.  A quick look today shows no real opportunity to do so but we will take a closer look tomorrow.
Bottom line is they have three county wides (treasurer and two coroners) and legislative candidates in:
Catskill:  But only two so that is good.  Joe Kozlowski and Christopher Hamilton.
Cairo: Only Harry so Harry and Bill are running unopposed.
Halcott, Hunter, Lexington:  Only Larry G. as we did not have a candidate.
Athens: Michael Pirrone
Windham, Ashland, Jewett, Prattsville:  Lori
N. Baltimore: James Eckel
Some have multiple lines as detailed in info below Elisa sent me.
Coxsackie (2 legislators), Greenville, Durham totally unopposed so long as no independent line is created.
Please advise your candidates accordingly of what we have.
And he goes on in a later email:
Treasurer-Lee (DEM, WEP,IND)
Coroner-Robert Gaus/Joshua Lipsman(DEM,WEP,WOR,IND)
Leg Cat-Joseph Kozlowski(DEM,IND,WEP,WOR) & Christopher Hamilton(DEM&IND)
Leg Car- Harry(DEM&IND)
Leg HuHalLex Larry (DEM&IND)
Leg Athens- Michael Pirrone (DEM,IND)
Leg WiPraJeAsh- Lori (DEM,IND)
Leg NB- James Eckl (DEM)

Good morning all!
I think I can safely speak for Alan when I say thank you for the work on the petitions! I submitted them to Brent yesterday with 62 total Republican signatures, plenty to cover the 5% needed. He also has the Conservative petitions and the Independence petitions. Thank you Shelly, AnnMarie, and Jeff Ruso for the help with those! The BOE has the signed authorization from the Conservative committee to allow us to submit petitions for their line, but did not yet have the same from the Independence. They have until July 16 to authorize.
Greene County Youth Fair is July 26-29 in Cairo. As many of you know, the Republicans staff a booth/table in the big tent for the weekend. Our time slot is Saturday, July 28th, 9am to Noon (Our usual noon – 3 was already taken). Anyone who wants to attend is welcome to join me (and hopefully Alan) there.
The next regularly scheduled committee meeting (4th Thursday) is July 26th, 7pm at the Boathouse.
Thanks!

So, New Baltimore voters, we can clearly see what Pat Linger, your Repukelican County Legislator has been doing; it’s no wonder he can’t come up with any accomplishments in the legislature! He’s too busy doing other things.
You know, Jim Eckl may be a two-time loser but compared to Linger, Eckl’s starting to look real good…if only he could shake the Democrap stench he’d have a chance. Can you do that Jimmy? Can you shake those three wenches from your back? Can you be a real man and run on your hind legs? Try it. Make a commitment to New Baltimore voters that you can do better than Linger and maybe we’ll throw in a couple of good words for ya.

The New Baltimore Repukelicans ran their candidate, Jeff Ruso, unopposed for Town Supervisor. In other words, Ruso was not elected, he was declared elected by default. Ruso then immediately appointed his predecessor, Nick Dellisanti, to be his deputy. Dellisanti refused to run again, paving the way for former loser Ruso, who ran for the supervisor office once before and lost. So now New Baltimore residents have an unelected Town Supervisor (Ruso) and an unelected Deputy Town Supervisor (Dellisanti). Of course we can’t fault the New Baltimore Repukelicans for the New Baltimore Democraps’ failure to run a candidate but we can fault both Ruso and Dellisanti for so openly and glaringly pleasuring each other publicly and at the New Baltimore public’s expense: Dellisanti clears the way for loser Ruso and loser Ruso invites RINO Dellisanti back into the Supervisor’s office! Now that’s the way to run elections…in North Korea!

As we have already published in several articles, the incumbent Repukelicans in New Baltimore Town Hall consider themselves above us all and feel it’s unnecessary to respond to residents’ correspondence; their appointees and employees like Gordon Bennett (Sole Assessor) and the Board of Assessment Review, a tool to reward or to punish by means of its incompetence, play their politics games and reward their friends while cheating others; while the Democrap and Repukelicans steal your right to vote or not to vote for candidates by their refusing to put up candidates and run candidates unopposed, who would be “declared elected,” even if they got no votes at all.

Both parties have turned our polling places into portapotties.
Both parties have turned your ballot into a blumpkin.
Both parties have turned your voice into a fart.
Are you happy with your Democracy now?

Stay tuned for our follow-up article on how you are being denied your vote and the problem of Alan Van Wormer.

Mayor Bruno’s Campaign Letter: Mail Fraud? Official Misconduct?

UPDATE
We have verified that the Bruno letter was processed through the Ravena Post Office and was delivered by U.S.P.S. personnel. We have been informed that several complaints have been sent to the regional postmaster in Albany and to the U.S.P.S. Inspector General for investigation. The NYS Board of Elections has been advised. The Office of the NYS Comptroller has been informed.

How did it get into your mailbox?
No stamp, no postage paid imprint, no bulk permit imprint!
Who put it in your mailbox, anyway?

mail bag spill

Mail Fraud or Official Misconduct?

Mayor John Bruno and his “Colleagues” Martin Case and Rocco Persico need to answer some questions about how a letter to “Occupant” got into Ravena residents’ mailboxes this past week. The letter arrived simply addressed to “Occupant” and had no stamp, no postage paid imprint, and no bulk mail permit imprint. A reliable local source not connected with neither Bruno’s or Misuraça’s campaign confirms the “rumor that the Bruno flyer was inserted in the mailboxes of residents by the mail carrier with no postage and the mail carrier advised that the Mayor had paid the post office.” This allegation has not yet been verified but the source is reliable.

We published the letter and our comments on the letter and you can read about it at Bruno Wants a Fifth “Last and Final” Term.

We’d also like an investigation into where the letter was photocopied and whether village equipment and resources were misused for Bruno’s political campaign. That should be easy enough to prove, Mr Mayor, just produce the receipt from the copying business showing that you paid for the copies and didn’t use village equipment.

If it wasn’t the United States Postal Service mail carrier who put the letters in the Ravena residents’ mailboxes, we’d also like to know who was sneaking along Ravena village streets slipping Bruno’s letter into residents’ mailboxes. Was it a village employee? We want to know!

Either way, there’s something very fishy about Bruno’s letter distribution thing.

The Misuraca campaign did everything by the book. They used stamps or bulk mailing permits, and paid for their copying. No fraud, theft or misconduct there. Just plain honesty and playing by the rules. But we all know that’s not how Mayor Bruno or his “colleagues” Martin Case or Rocco Persico work. Ravena residents, better check your wallets!

Report Fraud, Misconduct!

Report Fraud, Misconduct!

Fraud? Maybe.

Generally speaking, a regular fraud case that would normally be prosecuted by local prosecuting attorneys at the state level can become a federal mail fraud case if the U.S. Postal Service was utilized by the accused defendant to commit the fraud. The U.S. Postal Inspectors are the agency that investigates fraud and other criminal abuse of the U.S. Postal System in furtherance of committing a crime. The mail fraud federal statute is broad based and allows the federal government to prosecute fraud and other types of cases resulting in some instances of sentences of 20 years in federal prison and 30 years in federal prison if a financial institution is the victim of a fraud.

Official Misconduct

Misconduct on the part of U.S. Postal Service employees includes misuse of Postal Service computers, destruction or theft of Postal Service property, falsification of official documents and forgery, theft of funds, abuse of authority, sabotage of operations, narcotics usage or sale of drugs while on duty, and alcohol abuse.

We’ll be contacting the New York State Board of Elections, too, to inform them of this situation and advise them that we are contacting the United States Postal Service Inspector General to request an inquiry and investigation of this incident. We think you should take the same action.

No Joke: This Election will Determine Whether Ravena
LIVES OR DIES

Mummy Returns

Just Say NO! to BRUNO!

Our Polls are Doing Just That: Bill “Moose” Misuraca 74% of Votes, John Bruno only 5%
Keith Mahler 33%, Laszlo Polyak (write-in) 21%, Joel Coye 23% of Votes, Case and Persico each 3%.

Here are some Reasons Why Ravena Needs a New Mayor & New Trustees:

Well, the title graphic above should say it all. Bruno has, in the more than 25 years he’s been in office, succeeded in driving business and residents out of the Village of Ravena! Ravena is fast becoming a real ghost town.

But Bruno hasn’t done it alone. His monkeys on the Village Council have supported him all the way. Two of those monkeys are running for re-election: Martin Case and Rocco Persico. If Ravena is to survive, voters can’t let that happen.

mummy team
TEAM MUMMY
Persico – Bruno – Case

Here are just a couple of reasons to kick their arses out of Village Hall:

Transformed the Village of Ravena from a vibrant model village community of families and neighbors into a ghost town of backstabbers.

Rather than support the RCS Community Library when it was between a rock and a hard place, Bruno-Persico-Case chose to EVICT the community library! To add insult to injury, they even raised the library’s rent by more than $600 a month to punish the library for not being able to move into the new building (which was being renovated by Rocco Persico’s own cousin, Don Persico!)

Bruno-Persico-Case purchased used exercise equipment for more than $40,000 from insider Bob Fisk using tax payer dollars with no inputs from taxpayers!

Bruno-Persico-Case then evicted the RCS Community Library and created a useless fitness center in the library space and installed insider Cathy Deluca as the “director” of Cathy’s new playpen.

Then Bruno-Persico-Case went ahead and budgeted more than $105,000 to finance the Ravena Health and Fitness Center for 2014, paying insider Cathy Deluca more than $30,000 to run the place and getting her civil service classification with full benefits at YOUR expense. The fitness center is losing money, YOUR MONEY, and is a money-pit.

While they were evicting the library and creating a playpen for Cathy Deluca and Nancy Warner, another one of your fine Village trustees, they were busy persecuting local teens and youth, harassing them under unconstitutional local village laws, aided and abetted in their unlawful harassment by the Coeymanazi police department (Gregory Darlington and “Dirty-Hands Jerry” Deluca).

mayor of the damned

While harassing the kids Bruno-Persico-Case and Nancy Warner were killing the Ravena-Coeymans Teen and Youth Activities Center, a place where the kids could go to get off the streets and stay out of trouble. But the village of Ravena couldn’t allocate a dime for the kids but could spend $40,000 on used exercise equipment for the Cathy Deluca’s playpen, the Ravena Health and Fitness Center, plus budget more than $105,000 for the Ravena Heaps and Fatness Club. Ravena-Coeymans youth and teens owe Bruno, Persico and Case a good swift kick!

Mayor John Bruno seems to conveniently forget all of his secret deals and meetings. Think about it Magnolia Circle residents when you think CSX and your missing trees. Two-faced Bruno and his lackies Rocco Persico and Martin Case played stupid when confronted about the unlawfully cut trees. You ought to be really pissed Magnolia Circle residents not only because of your trees but because of the LIES!

Mayor John Bruno and his bunch of flying monkeys, Rocco Persico, Martin Case, Nancy Warner, and William “Bill” Bailey have a lot of explaining to do about their financial mismanagement of the village of Ravena. Too many New York State Comptroller’s audits have turned up too many “mistakes” and too much mismanagement to be just accidental. They’re not accidents, they’re incompetence and corruption! And did you ever try to get Bruno and his monkeys to disclose any of their shady business deals? Good luck! Everything goes on behind closed doors mafia-style until the shite hits the fan and then Bruno says: “I didn’t know!” Just what you want to hear from your mayor, the chief financial officer of the village!

Plenty of money, taxpayer money, to waste or steal in a village with a shrinking tax base. You get to pay more for less and for shoddy management. Who in their right mind would pave new streets over 100-year-old pipelines that regularly burst and flood residents’ basements? Only TEAM BRUNO!

Who paves over natural streams and creeks and installs culverts that can’t handle the flow? The result, constant flooding of parking lots and streets. That’s TEAM BRUNO management for you!

Who uses threats and strong-arm tactics to attract business (Yes! We know, that’s not how it should be done!)? TEAM BRUNO! “If you don’t do it my way, you’ll never do business in or with Ravena again!” That’s how TEAM BRUNO attracts business. Same for residents. No residential growth no business. Great plan TEAM BRUNO! The proof: Check out Main Street Ravena!

The Bruno Method for attracting business and families

The picture above comes from the 2008 film “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor / Action-Fantasy” but could easily be retitled 2014  “The Mummy: Ravena, Tomb of the Dragon Mayor (2014)/ No-Action-Fantasy.”

There’s more, so much more and we’re sure we’ll be hearing from Ravena residents with horror stories about their experiences with John T. Bruno over the past 28 years or so. But the real proof is when you look around Ravena and see the damage that he and his lackies have done.

What’s worse, his two running mates, Martin “Marty” Case, a real loser from the start, and Rocco Persico, a lump of do-nothing, are also employees of the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District! Can you imagine that loser Case as a social studies teacher? Or Rocco Persico as a school psychologist? But yes, that’s where they have their main jobs. Your kids are exposed to duds like Case and Persico and you wonder why graduation rates and test scores are abysmal at RCS schools? So it should be no surprise to you that when they got into village hall they did what they do best: NOTHING! Again, YOUR TAX DOLLARS at work.

(And keep your eye on that little dwarf Tom Dolan, that honorary member of the freak show is local Democratic Party chairperson and allegedly has finnagled the votes from his Choice program people and Oakbrook, too! But judging from the percentage of Dems voting in favor of Misuraca, Dolan’s failing as a democrat, too. The polls show 35% of votes for Misuraca are Dems and 32% are Republicans, a total of 67% (plus another 29% from Conservatives and Independents = 95% of votes for Misuraca!) Only 5% carrying Bruno!)

New Baltimore: Just a Hint of Corruption?

New Baltimore: Do Benway, Norris Recommend Conflict of Interest in Choosing Insurance Carriers!

Can you spell that for me? Sure: O-R-O-R-K-E + B-E-N-W-A-Y + N-O-R-R-I-S = CORRUPTION.

Can you spell that for me?
Sure: O-R-O-R-K-E + B-E-N-W-A-Y + N-O-R-R-I-S = CORRUPTION.

In her biased article “Dispute arises over insurance carriers” that appears in the March 6 issue of The Ravena News Herald Jessica Mosier (Columbia – Greene Media, Johnson Newspaper Group) reports on the deliberations by the New Baltimore Town Board on whether or not to jump ship from their present insurer to an insurer recommended by board members Lisa Benway and Chris Norris, NYMIR. Problem is: NYMIR has some pretty shady background when it comes to pals Susan O’Rorke, Lisa Benway and Chris Norris, and we probably should throw in their media mole Jessica Mosier, who seems to lose a lot in the translation.

Here’s what we managed to dig up:

In a recent e – mail communication from Lisa Benway to Shelly VanEtten (recently elected to the board with the Dellisanti team that ousted the tyrannical O’Rorke mob), Benway writes:

“I have looked over our current policy again, the Trident Renewal proposal and the NYMIR proposal…I know that people get nervous about changing policies because they are unsure of the service they will get from the new carrier. I can tell you that NYMIR has a very good reputation for claims service and overall service in general….To sum up, based on my years in the business and my interpretation of the policies, I would recommend to the board to take the NYMIR policy.” [emphasis provided]

In the Ravena News Herald article, Mosier reports Norris as having publicly recommended NYMIR “based on savings” not on coverage terms, and Benway agreed. Crazy! You say? No! Just crooked. Because O’Rorke, Benway and Norris have a very cozy—but is it too cozy—connection with NYMIR.

Junk-journalist Jessica Mosier of the Ravena News Herald, a division of Johnson Newspaper Group, and edited by Mark Vinciguerra, a former Albany Times Useless employee, don’t do their in-depth reporting, and manage to stay ignorant—or just don’t report—the dirty connections in which their pals are involved. So here are the facts:

Benway had the gall to admit that, “No two companies for commercial insurances are identical, that I can guarantee you!”

And, Guess what! We know why Benway would make such a statement! It all revolves around conflicts of interest and campaign contributions made to Susan O’Rorke and the New Baltimore Democratic Committee under Diane Lewis made by NYMIR – associated agents, agencies, and people. The donations were made to former New Baltimore supervisor Susan O’Rorke and to the New Baltimore Democratic Committee under chairperson Diane Lewis! Of course “no two companies are identical”! One is paying you and your party off and the other is providing legitimate insurance services! Never a truer statement made! You see, Susan O’Rorke works for Wright Risk Management (WRM), the parent company of NYMIR insurance, the insurer Benway and Norris are pushing the board to hire to insure New Baltimore!

Here’s the real dirt: our late and not–so–great New Baltimore town supervisor, Ms Susan O’Rorke, is an employee of Wright Risk Management (WRM), which is the management company for, NYMIR. (Makes you wonder if O’Rorke had not gotten the boot, would the three stooges, O’Rorke, Benway and Norris have still pushed the NYMIR recommendation? Now that would have been a story leading to a conviction! But it’s a question we should still ask Lisa Benway: Would she still so strongly have recommended NYMIR, and for the same reasons?)

But that, in itself, doesn’t build a very strong case for conflict of interest or charges of corruption. Or does it?

In the period of September 25, 2009 to November 4, 2013, WRM or NYMIR or high – ranking management of those companies or their founder, William Fishlinger made contributions to the O’Rorke Campaign or to the New Baltimore Democratic Committee in the amount of more than $2,500.00.

Contributions? Maybe, maybe not.

Contributions?
Maybe, maybe not.

An unconfirmed report is that O’Rorke has given presentations to municipalities pitching herself as a town supervisor and recommends NYMIR as a recommended insurer. She may still be doing that but we have no confirmation of her present activities.

Now we have a leftover pair from the O’Rorke administration, Lisa Benway and Chris Norris, who are recommending NYMIR, the insurance company run by O’Rorke’s employer WRM, as the preferred insurer for the town of New Baltimore, and in fact, vote against the proposal to have the policy renewed by Trident; they favor NYMIR.

Now, we are inches away from corruption and abuse of public office here in the case of Benway and Norris, who have been pushing to give NYMIR the contract for insuring New Baltimore, but both Benway and Norris have gone on the public record pushing for NYMIR and Benway even strongly recommends NYMIR in her communication to vanEtten.

Does anyone see the ghost of Susan O’Rorke at work here? Or even the New Baltimore Democratic Committee and Diane Lewis. Sure, they’re hungry for more campaign contributions from WRM, NYMIR, and their founders. Best way to get it? Send them some business. Then Susie O’R. can go out and sell more municipal insurance policies for NYMIR and make a ton of money for her friends at WRM, NYPIR’s parent company, and the founders, William Fishlinger and others at Congdon, Flaherty, O’Callahan, Reid, Donlan, Travis & Fishlinger.

Great plan, Lisa, Chris, Suzie. But you were caught again doing naughties! Maybe the Attorney General will be interested in this tidbit of incriminating research?

Thank you supervisor Dellisanti, boardmembers Ruso and vanEtten for your attention to detail and your diligence in asking the villains the right questions, keeping this town of New Baltimore and its residents out of the hands of crooks!

A Family Incident Leads to Political Questions: What’s the deal?

Don’t forget to vote in our polls for Ravena Mayor and Ravena Trustees. Click here: Polls

Does a Misunderstanding Between Two Brothers About An Alleged Illegality Tell Us Something About the Candidate…And the Potential Conflicts of Interest and Interference by the Candidate’s Wife?

Family Incident Sends Up the Red Flags!!!

Family Incident Sends Up the Red Flags for Ravena Voters!!!

A real-life incident between Dom Misuraca, brother of Bill “Moose” Misuraca, the Republican Candidate for Mayor of Ravena, may tell volumes of what Ravena residents can expect if Mr Misuraca is elected, and should send up red flags about the possible conflicts of interest and interference that may be caused by Misuraca’s wife, Jena Misuraca, with possible effects of abuse of public office. Here’s the scenario straight from the brother’s mouth:

The Brother, Dom Misuraca, of Republican Ravena Mayoral Candidate Bill “Moose” Misuraca, writes in a recent response to a comment made by one of our readers:

Ill just say this to your assine reply to my comment:

1. The way he [Bill “Moose” Misuraca] makes a sandwich matters little in comparison to running a town [Ravena].

2. I did storm into the bar, as far as it being “no reason at all”, well you wouldnt know that I had just gotten off the phone with my crying mother….crying because he was blaming ME , as the person that reported the bar for HAVING UNTAXED WORKERS. While I do not condone off the book employees, I certainly did not report him…I am not only [the] person on his bad side.

The police were not necessary if he had only been able to COMMUNICATE WITH ME, instead of jumping to conclusions and allowing his wife [Jena Misuraca] to spread rumors. I certainly wouldnt have WASTED THE TAXPAYERS MONEY by calling the police….who , in TRUE RAVENA FASHION ,arrived in a pack of three.

3. HE IS NOT FULL OWNER OF NEITHER THE BAR nor PROPERTY. As partial owner of the property, i was within my rights to be there…i left to talk to the police outside ,away from nosey barflies…… It seems like it is YOU [one of our readers] who does not know the whole story,

[Response to comment made to the article The Buzz is Out: Bill “Moose” Misuraca will Challenge John “Black Mamba” Bruno in the Ravena Mayoral Race!!]

Although it sounds like a family matter, there are three points embedded in Dom Misuraca’s comment that are of significant interest to our readers, and raise questions about the mayoral candidate, Bill “Moose” Misuraca:

(1) The allegation that Bill “Moose” Misuraca and his wife Jena Misuraca were evading the law as regards workers/employee taxes. Not that financial mismanagement hasn’t been the hallmark of the John T. Bruno & Co. regime, this is a serious allegation, especially serious when it is made against someone who wants to be the chief financial officer of the Village of Ravena. We need to hear more about this allegation and maybe get some clarification.

(2) The apparent communication problem is also worrying. If someone can’t communicate appropriately on a serious matter, whether the allegation is true or untrue, and that person can’t respond to the allegation in a rational and sensible way, that is another serious problem for someone who wants to be the chief communicator of the Village of Ravena.

(3) Rumors have always been a problem in Ravena-Coeymans and have caused a lot of heartache to a lot of people. We mentioned in a previous post that we are concerned that Jena Misuraca may not respect boundaries if her husband, Bill Misuraca, is elected to be Ravena mayor. We base our concern on Jena’s many sometimes questionable participattion in local movements and the company she tends to keep. The RCS Sports Association with its Twilight Zone history of shabby bookkeeping and total lack of transparency, Jena’s involvement with certain groups involved in the schools (and we don’t mean the cookie-baking team), her outrageous political activism and partisanship relating to the RCS board of education, her questionable friendships with local renegade figures like Cathy and Dirty-Hands Jerry Deluca, and the list could go on. Jena simply doesn’t know when to mind her own business and to lay low, if necessary. Jena’s “individualism”, if you want to call it that, goes far beyond what we would like to see in the wife of the mayor of Ravena. In our opinion, there could be many conflicts of interest and problems created if Jena isn’t kept in her crate with her mouth shut.

(4) The coziness with elements of the Coeymanazi police department bothers us, too. All of the above concerns culminate in the fact that the Coeymans police were involved and our question is: Why? Who called them? For what purpose? Was it Bill “Moose” Misuraca or Jena Misuraca? If Dom Misuraca was there to talk to his brother about a misunderstanding, why didn’t it play out that way? If Jena called her “friends” in the Coeymans police department, what business was it of hers to get involved in something that was between two brothers. (And is that going to become a pattern if Mr Misuraca occupies the mayor’s office?). And if Dom has every right to be on the property, and was not creating a disturbance, he was within his rights.

Now let’s superimpose this little scenario on what might occur if it was in Ravena Village Hall….

Imagine_ifNow, readers, take this scenario a step further and imagine the Halfway House Tavern is the Ravena Village Hall. Now imagine that there’s some illegal crapola going on in the village workings involving some mismanagement or corruption (= the alleged untaxed employees at the Halfway House Tavern), and some people are upset about it (= Misuraca’s mother and Dom Misuraca). A citizen (= Dom Misuraca) goes to the public space (= Halfway House Tavern = Village Hall) to discuss the issue with an elected official (= Bill “Moose” Misuraca) in order to get the story straight. The citizen (= Dom Misuraca) has every right (1) to be concerned about the situation, (2) to go to village hall, (3) to talk to the elected official, (4) to get the facts and the story straight. OK so far?

Perhaps the discussion gets a bit emotional (it happens at town, village and school board meetings all the time) but it’s not an incident. Now, say someone who is not an elected public servant or even an employee of the village government (= Jena Misuraca, although she works at the Halfway House Tavern) sticks his or her nose in it, and starts spreading rumors about the citizen’s (= Dom Misuraca) discussion with the elected official (= Bill “Moose” Misuraca) all over town, when s/he should have kept his/her mouth shut. Let’s also say that that rumor-monger (= Jena Misuraca) has questionable motives and hangs out with questionable groups (RCS Sports Association, Fiends of RCS, the Coeymanazi police department, Cathy and Dirty-Hands Jerry Deluca, etc.) and the whole thing gets perverted in the telling. And say, as the story goes, that that Ms Buttinsky (= Jena Misuraca), calls the police to intervene in something only to make a scene.

Now think: Does that paint a picture of open government where citizens can feel free to approach their elected officials, to discuss isses with them, to freely interact with local government without fear of retaliation or intimidation? Sure doesn’t sound that way to us! In fact, it sounds a lot like what we now have in Ravena Village Hall. It sounds a lot like what a local resident describes when he visited the Ravena Health and Fitness Center, a public place, during the open house, and was told he wasn’t welcome and to leave. It sounds just like what Cathy Deluca and one of her minions, Claude Wheeler, did when they falsely reported an incident to the Coeymanazi police, too. It also sounds a lot like the obstruction of justice by the Coeymans police department when it came to investigating the violation of the resident’s protected civil rights (a crime), the charge of falsely reporting an incident (a misdemeanor), the charge of conspiring (a misdemeanor) to file a falsely reporting an incident, when they concerned Cathy Deluca, the wife of Coeymans cop Dirty-Hands Jerry Deluca! And that’s only one incident. Many similar ones appear in the list of Notices of Claims against the Village of Ravena, the Town of Coeymans, and the Coeymans Police Department.

We need some answers to these questions we’ve posed above. We need some certainty that on March 18, voters are not jumping from the frying pan into a very big bonfire. We need to know what we’re getting into and whether we need to seriously ignore what the political parties have cooked up for us and start thinking very seriously about some local men and women who can be write-in candidates and who don’t have so much damned baggage! Think Laszlo Polyak or Michael Fisher, or another trustworthy write-in candidate for Ravena mayor, if the Bruno gang or Misuraca pair is getting too scary. Send us the names of your write-ins and we’ll campaign for them!

We need to hear from the candidates, too. Silence will only keep the rumors alive and will be an admission of guilt!

What we DON’T NEED in Ravena Village Hall is More Dirty Laundry and More Baggage! Do the Laundry and Unpack the Baggage, Candidates, Before Election Day! How about financial disclosures? Tax records? Answers to straight questions? Don’t voters deserve to have answers from the men and women who are asking to be elected? If we cant demand accountability and get transparency at the local level, how in hell can you hope for it from Albany or Washington D.C.?

The Buzz is Out: Bill “Moose” Misuraca will Challenge John “Black Mamba” Bruno in the Ravena Mayoral Race!!

The Coeymans Republican Party Has a Candidate to
Oppose Ravena Mayor John T. Bruno

Bill “Moose” Misuraca has been tapped to challenge the Village of Ravena mayor John T. Bruno on March 18th! Great Choice!

Off with their heads!

Off with their heads in Ravena Village Hall!

Venerable Coeymans Republican Committee chairwoman Barbara Cumm has published the Public Notice under the provisions of Section 15 of the New York State Election Law notifying all registered Republicans in the Village of Ravena that the Republican Caucus for the Village of Ravena to nominate candidates for the office of Mayor of Ravena and two village trustees will be held at the Ravena Firehouse at 116 Main Street, Ravena, New York on January 28, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. The Village of Ravena Elections will be held on Tuesday, Mary 18, 2014.

Content Update_Smalbany Blog_BW

The word on the street is that Chairwoman Cumm has tapped William “Moose” Misuraca to be the Republican candidate for Mayor of Ravena. Moose Misuraca, as many of you already know is the same Moose Misuraca who runs the Halfway House Tavern, a village institution for almost 100 years, in Ravena-Coeymans, and is the grandson of patriarch Frank Nunziato. Moose is very much in touch with the local community and can take an ass-kicking and still remain level-headed and even-handed. We know this for a fact because we have blasted Moose on a number of occasions and he’s kept his cool. Moose is a better choice when we consider his ability to be down-to-earth and a real people person. These are very positive character traits when compared to the explosive and offensive personality of mayor John T. Bruno.

All that said, and although we have our doubts when it comes to the technical parts of mayoring, and some of Moose’s wife Jenna’s choice of friends and associations (a well-meaning relationship with the somewhat shady RCS Sports Association, a coziness with the notorious Cathy and Jerry Deluca that makes many people cringe, some of the groups she’s supported in the past (Fiends of RCS etc.), Moose is promising as a candidate given the numbers in our most recent polls, clearly leading Ron Houghtaling by at least a 50% margin, and leaving John Bruno in the mummy dust.. But will Moose be able to handle the pressure of his wife’s, Jena’s friends and still be a neutral public servant and not become a puppet mayor? Will he isolate Ravena village hall and make it a private club for the special interests and questionable friends, to whom  his wife Jena appears to be attracted, addicted? Or wil both Moose and Jena surprise the hell out of everyone and rise above the raw sewerage of special interests and corruption in Ravena-Coeymans. Sure, he’ll be able to call in consultants and advisors, if necessary, but it does take some skill knowing when you don’t know. And it takes big balls and raw courage to resist mere popularity and to champion real principles. Running even a small municipality like Ravena can be a challenge, especially when you’re dragging some heavy baggage and some dirty laundry along with you. And we all know from painful past experience when a heavy-handed bullshitter tries to run things: that’s the Bruno experience for the downward spiral Ravena has lived through since Bruno’s dictatorship has run its evil course for more than a quarter century. Bruno’s old and so is his style. Ravena needs change, positive change. Maybe Bill .” Moose” Misuraca, despite some of his and Jena’s questionable [= rumored] connections and friends might be that change. Maybe not. Can we handle the risk?

Our Advice to Barbara Cumm and to John Bruno

Our Advice to John Bruno, Marty Case and Rocco Persico!

Scandalous Greed: Not Satisfied with Being Elected to Public Office, Coeymans Board Members Now Want to Grab More Power!

shark attack great white

Our advice to the greedy power-hungry gabbers is this: You were elected to serve the residents and community of Coeymans, not to run a political party! Just concentrate all of your energies on your new responsibilities before your start grabbing more! Stop acting like a bunch of children and conduct the business of governing the Town of Coeymans in a fair and balanced way. You have enough to deal with right under your noses: Deal with it! Chairwoman Cumm played a significant role in putting you where you are. Maybe some gratitude is in order! Dontcha think?

Mr Langdon: Get real! Get to work, and stop drooling over a commttee chairmanship you have neither the right nor the experience to covet!

Unconfirmed reports and the word on the street is that several Coeymans Republicans—Ungrateful bastards and power-hungry wolves in sheepskins?— have visited Coeymans Republican Committee Chairperson Barbara Cumm, and have asked her to step down. Apparently, the misguided group is not pleased with the way she’s been serving the Republican party in Coeymans—even though she’s successfully navigated the Coeymans Republican party to win a number of elections— and successfully steered the party from the whacko direction its seems to want take under the imprudent direction of some power-hungry newbies. Cumm managed to get them elected and that’s how they allegedly treat her. Aren’t they satisfied with being voted into public office? They want more? What is in store for the voters now that they’re in office. To be fair, Barbara Cumm is a native of Ravena, she was raised and grew up in this very area. Barbara Cumm loves Ravena-Coeymans and wants to see it thrive. We feel that the direction the village has taken and the attitude of some persons [Mr Flach, Mr Burns (!), Mr Masti, Mr Langdon] is far from moral and verges on the unethical. We’d like to remind you gang of four that public office is characterized by SERVICE not power-grabbing.

It is our avowed principle that no one in public office should also serve as a party chairperson (Right? Tom Dolan!); it opens too many doors to corruption and power-grabbing, and all too soon the notion of SERVICE has lost its meaning. We have noted Mr Kenneth Burns’ imprudent remark about “father-figures.” Burns is on our monitoring list already. The rest of the Flach team had better tow the mark; all eyes are on you guys.

If the rumor is true that Mr Flach, Mr Langdon, Mr Masti, and Mr Burns have shown their colors and are ungrateful sods, Chrisitans that they claim to be, we don’t like what we hear. Don’t forget for one second that Ms Cumm served for many years and should not simply be discarded nor should she be vilified or disrespected by anyone: least of all local Republicans and the very one’s she’s guided into the offices they now occupy. If this blog has in any way made the impression that we do not respect Ms Cumm and her loyalty to her hometown, the principles of her party, her dignity and her accomplishments, we’d like to correct that impression right now.

Coeymans Shark Attack!!! Hungry Coeymans Board Members Visit Chairworman

Coeymans Shark Attack!!!
Hungry Coeymans Board Members Visit Chairworman

Our recommendation in the past has been, that if and when Ms Cumm decides to resign,  to make her Coeymans Republican Committee Chairperson emerita in recognition of her many years of service but also to rely on her experience, wisdom and savvy to ensure that the Coeymans Republican party is the party of ethics and solid values, ralther than self-service and power-grabbing. Unlike John Bruno, who is a dinosaur, Barbara Cumm is a servant leader. They’re from different dimensions or universes: Bruno is 30 years behind the times, Cumm, it seems, is reality oriented and future visioned. Where Bruno doesn’t have the sense of reality that would tell him to have the dignity to resign and hand over the baton to someone who can bring the dying village of Ravena into the 21st century, Barbara Cumm has shown wisdom in putting together a Republican party slate that overturned the old-boy corruption and put new faces on the board. (We can only hope that the new faces are not just masks hiding the same old business-as-usual thug-types.)

Our advice: Leave Barbara Cumm alone and respect her alleged choice for Ravena Mayor, Bill Moose Misuraca. Why? You might ask? Well, Bill knows the people, knows their needs; he listens to the buzz. He’s got a business right in the middle of town, is very well aware that if the village slides any further down the slippery slope created by the Brunos, the Delucas, the Warners and the others in the in-crowd, the Incest Club, he loses his livelihood and possibly a business that has a long history in Ravena—almost a century. But CAUTION: We don’t want to create a Coeymanazi haven, a nest of insiders in Ravena village hall that is worse than what’s there already. We need the Service Squad.

We were hoping for someone like Ron Houghtaling who has a wealth of government and administrative experience, and who has the brains to impress. Maybe that’s why he wasn’t called on to seek the nomination. Maybe his own history of unsavory connections and the fact that he doesn’t have the Misuraca allure is his own baggage, his own dirty laundry. While he’s got a working brain and will think for himself, and make experienced decisions, maybe the downside outweighs all of that.

chopping-cashWe also think that the present village of Ravena offices in their present location would make a fine location for the Coeymans Town Hall, tooWill Moose Misuraca work closely with the Town of Coeymans to re-establish the old Ravena-Coeymans with one administration rather than the present wasteful two administrations running one community? Will Moose Misuraca  would have the negotiating skills and the experience to approach the town government to make the move. That brings up the subject of consolidating the hamlet of Coeymans and the village of Ravena. Think of the good sense that makes. One administration, one court, one budget. No more fingerpointing and bickering. The only ones who want separate governments are the ones who stand to profit by the inefficiency: the Bruno crowd. Let’s start thinking in the 21st century, people, and let’s move in the right direction. Even if the village and the hamlet are not consolidated (as they once were a number of years ago), the two administrations would be better off in one location and the present village hall would be just the place.

Think in terms of saving hundreds of thousands of dollars every year right around the corner and what that could mean to Ravena-Coeymans and to residents. It makes good economic sense but the Bruno crowd would fight it tooth and claw because they’d never have a chance at taking advantage of their captive audience again.

Now think of getting rid of the Coeymans police department and all of those leeches. Think about saving at least $500,000 a year and still having a local sheriff department presence right down the street. An then there’s also the NYS police who are in the area. What could you do with that $500,000 in savings each year while financing the Sheriff Department satellite station in Ravena-Coeymans. Money back in your pocket people. Why are you fighting it? Here’s why: You’re being lied to by the leeches and their idiot friends. The Coeymans p.d. leeches don’t want to lose a good thing; where could they go to suck as much blood and play cops and robbers at a community’s expense like the Coeymans p.d. does?

Coeymans Police Department and Dirty-Hands Jerry Deluca:

It must be getting a bit hot in the basement of Coeymans town hall, though. Kerry Thompson get’s pulled out by the Sheriff in an eleventh hour effort to distance himself from the Coeymans p.d. and avoid certain embarassment. Now we hear it’s getting too hot for Dirty-Hands Jerry Deluca who’s retiring (actually resigning) from the Coeymans p.d. Does the Coeymans town hall know that Deluca was hired illegally by his friend Gregory Darlington? That should affect his “retirement”, shouldn’t it? Before they start signing any checks they’d better audit the books and check the records and the law; we wouldn’t want the New York State Comptroller’s Office and the Civil Service Department to go behind closed doors with the New York State Attorney General and find that there’s fraud in the Coeymans P.D., would we?

Dirty-Hands Jerry Resigns; Is Darlington Next?

Dirty-Hands Jerry Resigns; Is Darlington Next?

Are Jerry Deluca and Gregory Darlington going to try to run and hide before the shit hits the fan? Do they really think that if they abandon ship like rats that they’ll be beyond the reach of the law or retribution to the public they’ve screwed so royally? Is the Coeymans taxpayer going to be satisfied paying the leeches their pensions in view of their years of abuse, corruption, and hypocrisy?

"Dirty-Hands Jerry Deluca" Resigns

“Dirty-Hands Jerry” Deluca Resigns

It was difficult to keep from vomiting when reading the page one article “Happy birthday, Ravena!” (Ravena News Herald, January 23, 2014) and its sickening portrayal of Gerald “Dirty-Hands Jerry” Deluca. Town councilman Kenneth Burns revealed a side of himself that made us doubt both his sanity and his connection with the community when he characterized the cop-bully Deluca as a “father figure to the community.” Either Burns was high on something or otherwise intoxicated to describe Deluca as a “father figure” to the community Deluca has deceived, taken advantage of, lied to, and bullied for years. Maybe Mr Burns has a different idea of a father figure; maybe Mr Burns means an abusive father with no ethics or morals. A “father-figure” who is a hyppocrite.

Our Message to Coeymans town councilman Mr Kenneth Burns: It’s that kind of stupid remark that gets you noticed. You’ve been noticed, Mr Burns.

But then, when saying good riddance to bad rubbish, maybe the Coeymans town council members are just so happy and relieved to get rid of the bully Deluca that they figure he’ll still be roaming the streets with time on his hands (when he should be doing time), so why rock the boat. Deluca was always in trouble while they had reasonable control over him. What now? Deluca is allegedly involved as a defendant in several lawsuits pending so he’ll be kept busy…one would hope.

We Recommend: That the New York State Comptroller, the Office of the NYS Attorney General, and the New York State Civil Service Department carefully audit and investigate Gerald Deluca’s employement record to ensure that his employment by the Coeymans Police Department was in accordance with the law. We have reason to believe that he may have been hired by Gregory Darlington illegally. That should certainly raise some eyebrows at state level. The Town of Coeymans had better do its own investigation and pronto!

Deluca Supersize Greed:

Lady-Kiss-Hips animationThe greed of the Deluca pair is about as super-sized as they are. Ravena News Herald sockpuppet Bryan Rowzee reports in that same article that Ravena mummy mayor John “Black Mamba” Bruno was accompanied by “Ravena Health and Fitness Manager and Centennial Celebration Committee chair Cathy Deluca” to tout Ravena’s 100-year anniversary of incorporation. With Bruno and Deluca working on it it’ll probably be featured at the Babcock Funeral Home more as a wake or memorial service than anything else! But Cathy Deluca will do anything—and we do mean anything—to get noticed (How could you not notice her?). Cathy’s a real steal-the-show dog-and-pony act, that’s for certain. But now that she’s been appointed to run her little money-pit playpen, the illegal Ravena Health and Fitness Center, that’s not enough for the gluttonous queen of grab-it! Now she’s finagled her way to be the Centennial Committee chair. Look: She’s getting $30,000 + benefits to run the Fitness Center for the village of Ravena. The Fitness Center is in its first year of existence and isn’t doing all that well—call us cynical, but it’s a money pit (your money, Ravena taxpayers), it’s losing the membership battle, it can’t keep employees, and it just doesn’t have the numbers. Cathy Deluca has already managed two previous fitness centers to failure, and we think she’s doing the same thing to the Ravena Fitness Center. She can’t even manage a bunch of fatties in tights let alone a business operation!

old blond stripper smSo don’t you Ravena taxpayers think she should keep her bottom at the Fitness Center to make certain the public’s money is working for the public? No, that’s not the Deluca way! The public’s money in the Deluca world works for Deluca! Our advice to Ravena mummy mayor John “Black Mamba” Bruno is to keep Cathy D. in the Fitness Center and make her make it work. It’s YOUR duty and responsibility Mr Bruno, to the people of Ravena. You have to make your bad ideas and bad choices work! You have to take responsibility Mr Bruno! Do it now! Make Cathy Deluca put all her energy in making that fiasco, illegal Ravena Health and Fitness Center work for the people and taxpayers of Ravena. Take responsibility for once, at least in the last year of being mayor of Ravena! And don’t forget the pending lawsuits that won’t go away even if Cathy Deluca resigns…OOPS! we meant “retire.” There are actually three (3) pending lawsuits involving Cathy Deluca and the Ravena Health and Fitness Center. Some of the claims involve criminal charges and also involve the Coeymans Police Department on charges of obstruction of justice etc. So when you hear the names Cathy and Jerry Deluca, think greed, hypocrisy, corruption, and lawsuit.

Again, this is one of our concerns with Bill “Moose” Misuraca’s prospective bid for the mayorship of Ravena: What is his, Bill’s  and his wife’s, Jena’s, relationship with the Deluca pair and how does that play into the agenda? Will their coziness with the Coeymanazi pair and all of their corrupt activities in Ravena-Coeymans taint any potential Misuraca administration? That’s an important consideration in our view.

We’d like to know Bill Misuraca’s position on the Ravena Health and Fitness Center.

We’d also like to ask if the Misuracas, the Ravena Halfway House Tavern received Cathy Deluca’s recent letter to selected Main Street businesses to attend the January 30th Centennial Planning Meeting for the “revitalization” of Main Street, Ravena. (Our most recent intelligence informs us that the Misuraca;s, Jordan’s Barber Shorp, Hoots Bowling Alley (Houghtaling), Stolz insurance, Citgo, Miller’s Automotive, all Main Street businesses, and others were not included in that mailing. Why not?)

In short: We want to know, we want to be convinced that if Bill “Moose” Misuraca is elected by a fair process that Bill will be mayor and not Jena or her cronies. We want to be convinced that if Bill “Moose” Misurac is elected to be mayor of the village of Ravena, that the same insider group or, worse still, more insider groups will take over village hall. If Bill “Moose” Misuraca is elected to be mayor, we want to be conviced Bill will be mayor; not Jena Misurac, not the RCS Sports Association, not Matt Miller’s teachers union, and not the Cathy and Dirty-Hands Jerry pair. In short, we want a mayor not a Coeymanazi fortress.

So, a lot is happening since the upheavals and elections in November 2013. It’s happening in Coeymans and in New Baltimore because residents are sick of the backstabbing, the unfairness, the lying, the corruption, the intimidation and the retaliation. It’s time now to fumigate Ravena village hall and get rid of the cockroaches who have been ruining a lovely little village and killing it slowly and painfully.

Village of Ravena residents have two caucuses coming up at the end of January:

  • The Democratic Caucus to nominate candidates for Ravena mayor and two village trustees. They’ll probably kiss Bruno’s ass and nominate him and his two leeches, Marty Case and Rocco Persico. That will be the death knoll for Ravena (and for Bruno and his two leeches Case and Persico). Residents don’t want Bruno back or his leeches. Nominating them in the Democratic caucus will be a big mistake. But then, Coeymans Democratic Committee Chairman Tom Dolan could’t get himself elected, and he’s a dud from the start. We just have to keep an eye on whether he’ll manipulate his Choices clients, his social services recipients, etc. He’s played some shadey games with ballots in the past, and skunks don’t change their odor. The Democratic Caucus is on Monday, January 27, 2014, at 6:00 p.m. in the Ravena Fire House at 116 Main Street, Ravena (one of the few occupied buildings left on Main Street, thanks to the democrats on the village council!)
  • The Republican Caucus will meet on Tuesday,January 28, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. in the Ravena Fire House at 116 Main Street, Ravena. As we’ve already reported, Coeymans Republican Committee Chairperson Barbara Cumm expects to nominate Bill “Moose” Misuraca for the office of mayor of Ravena and two others for the 2 trustee seats. Ms Cumm appears to have weighed the pros-and-cons and we have to trust her wisdom. All Coeymans Republicans must attend the caucus and actively participate. Weighing all of the options, we recommend that Ravena Republicans support Ms Cumm’s choice and should support Bill “Moose” Misuraca for mayor of Ravena.
  • We have posted our options for mayor and village officers. If the Caucuses don’t see the wisdom in our selection, we will push for the residents of the village of Ravena to write them in on March 18. If they don’t get the political parties’ nominations to be candates, we and Ravena residents must run them as write-ins!

An Example of a Write-in Vote It's that simple! Just print clearly and spell the names correctly!

Residents Give Thumbs Down for Coeymans P.D. and Ravena Mayor John T. Bruno!!!

Because of the holidays we left the “Tell Us What You Think” poll up for an additional 2 weeks, a total of 6 weeks, during which residents could share what they thought on a number of local issues. In the first 24 hours of the poll residents were very energetic in responding and we received 278 responses in those first 24 hours. At 72 hours we already had 417 responses, and by the third week the poll had received 517 responses. The holidays distracted many people and the final two weeks of the poll yielded a final total of 656 responses. That’s about 10% of the entire population of Coeymans and about 20% of the entire population of New Baltimore in rough comparison. According to the locations reported by responders, though, 80% of responses came from the Ravena-Coeymans area and about 14% came from New Baltimore area. The remaining approximately 6% of responses were likely from the town of Bethlehem, Selkirk, Feura Bush, etc. Because the responses were anonymous there’s no way to tell for sure.

Eliminate the Coeymans Police Department and Leave Law enforcement to the Albany County Sheriff and the NYS Police…

Large Majority of Residents Say: Get Rid of the Coeymans P.D.!

Large Majority (76%) of Residents Say: Get Rid of the Coeymans P.D.!

The majority (76%) of Ravena-Coeymans residents responding to the poll questions about the Coeymans police department think that law enforcement in Coeymans should be provided by the Albany County Sheriff and the New York State Police. A very similar majority (75%) say that the Coeymans police department should be eliminated outright. The RCS CSD superintendent Alan R. McCartney and his teacher-loaded board of education put Coeymans police in our RCS schools but 67% of residents responding to the poll want the police out of our schools. and less than 1-out-of-five respondents think we need the police in our schools. The message that residents are sending is clear: a high majority of residents responding to the poll do not want the Coeymans police department in our communities and would rather have the Albany County Sheriff’s deputies and the NYS police handling law enforcement in our communities. (This is a no-brainer for residents in the Town of New Baltimore who are already being served perfectly well by the Greene County Sheriff’s Department and the New York State Police!)

The Majority of Respondents Say NO! to Mayor John T. Bruno and His Crew of Critters

biz-woman-thumbs-down Ravena-Coeymans residents who responded on the survey clearly have had enough of the Bruno-machine in Ravena and the surrounding area. 66% of residents want “No more Bruno, Warner, Case, Bailey, Persico in Ravena.” That’s a very encouraging figure because if Ravena mayor John T. Bruno were to run today, he’d lose by a crushing landslide. Marty Case was the warning of Bruno’s unpopularity (but Case won his seat on the Ravena village council only by a margin, so he’s not an undisputed good example of popularity. That’s for certain!) Besides, there’s the unhealthy partnership between John Bruno and Nancy Warner that is like a cancer in Ravena. And then there’s the rift between Bill Bailey, Bruno’s whipping-boy-clown, and mayor John Bruno (But then, mayor John Bruno has no self-respect, how can he respect anyone else?).

A majority of residents (54%) think that Ravena mayor John Bruno should take a hike…a long hike. Those residents feel that Ravena mayor John Bruno should resign and apply for assisted living—in Alaska. But then, even Alaska might be too close for some residents. Only 6% (less than 1 resident in 10) think that mayor John Bruno is doing a good job. That’s really pitiful but those of us who have eyes to see and ears to hear know exactly why so few residents are Bruno supporters. That’s why he has to rely on the incest club and the crooks on the Ravena village payroll to get elected.

Now that we’re on the subject of why mayor John Bruno and his hatchet woman Nancy Warner are so hated, let’s look at two examples in the survey: the Ravena Health and Fitness Center and the Ravena-Coeymans Youth and Teen Activity Center. These two examples clearly show the character or lack of character of the occupants of Village Hall and their crooked croneys.

And YES! The Ravena-Coeymans Youth and Teen Activity Center is now closed, barely after a year of operation, only because Ravena mayor John Bruno, Ravena councilwoman Nancy Warner, and elements of the Coeymans police department made it their personal agenda to make certain it didn’t work. But what they failed to consider in their evil plan was the fact that although the Teen Center is now closed, it remains a living symbol of the Bruno era of negativity and destructiveness, and indifference to the interests of the community. The Teen Center continues alive and well as a symbol, even more powerful than when it was fighting for its life and for local teens and youth! The symbol of the Teen Center and the maltreatment of the RCS Community Library join the long list of Bruno-Warner failures and corruption in Ravena.

Even the Fat Lady Gives a Thumbs Down to the Ailing Ravena Health and Fitness Center.
Thanks! Cathy Deluca: Another Faiure!

We’ve already published volumes of truth on the misuse of public funds by the Bruno-Warner-Deluca conspiracy, and how the public was kept out of the discussions. We’ve already pointed out the incestuous relationships between the Bruno village hall and the Coeymans police department, where fatness queen Cathy Deluca’s husband, the corpulent cop Dirty-Hands Jerry parks his double-wide butt (but he’s now allegedly parking buses in the RCS central school district transportation department as a part-time bus driver! How in hell did he finagle that one?) How many jobs are the Ravena-Coeymans insiders going to hog and deprive residents of the opportunity to work? We’ve already reported how Cathy Deluca already closed two privately owned fitness centers and how the Village of Ravena has tried to get her special treatment with the Civil Service Commission so that she gets non-competitive status in a civil service job created for her! But the fact that more than $105,000.00 of Ravena taxpayer dollars were budgeted for the Ravena Health and Fitness Center for insider reasons we all know well does not explain Why? $0 dollars and 0 support was allocated to the youth and teens of Ravena-Coeymans. Nor does it explain why Josephine Biscone-Bruno (Prudential Real Estate) and Robert Fisk, both Ravena village hall insiders, sucked a local philanthropist, Mr Michael Fisher, into taking over the now ugly and empty building at 170 Main Street, Ravena. Nor does it explain Why? after approving the Ravena-Coeymans Youth and Teen Activity Center Bruno and Warner went on a relentless campaign to bad-mouth the Center and to persecute Ravena youth. It’s all history now because Bruno and Warner and the cowards around them, indirectly assisted by the dolts in Coeymans town hall at the time, with no support from the Coeymanazis in the Coeymans police department (Was it because the kids were going to the Teen Center rather than kissing cop ass on the athletic club? Or was there a murkier, more sinister reason?)

Neglected Teens and Youth

Neglected Teens and Youth

down youth silhouetteIn our survey, 68% of residents responding wanted to “Save the Ravena-Coeymans Youth and Teen Activities Center” and only 15% felt that Ravena-Coeymans didn’t need the Teen Center. That’s a pretty big difference and when you really think about it, what kind of people would deny the teens a safe and supervised place to go and stay off the streets!?! Another question would be: Where were the 68% when mayor John Bruno, Nancy Warner, and the Coeymans Police were harassing and intimidating the kids when they were at the Teen Center?

It’s heartbreaking but true that Ravena village hall and Coeymans town hall, together with the persecution by the Coeymans police department brought down a great idea but invested absolutely nothing in it. Neither the village of Ravena nor the town of Coeymans invested a single cent in the Teen Center. But Ravena village hall invested an awful lot of time farting around and backstabbing to make sure it disappeared. What did they provide to fill the void? What did they do to give the kids a place to go in the village of Ravena, the hamlet of Coeymans? You know the answer, parents, grandparents. Why don’t you tell the kids why you didn’t open your mouths or your wallets? Shame on you all. But more shame on the 68% who thought that the Teen Center should be saved and didn’t do anything to save it. You could have done that easily with at least 68%. You could have kicked Bruno’s and Warner’s butts but instead you threw the kids in, and got real low to kiss butt. Proud of yourselves?

As for the Ravena Health and Fitness Center residents of Ravena, at least, proved again that all sheep don’t go to slaughter on four legs, some actually walk on two legs. All of Ravena-Coeymans bent over again for another Bruno-Warner quickie and let Cathy Deluca and the Coeymanazis stick it to them, while Bruno, Warner and the Delucas sang all the way to the bank. Why is that? How did that happen, we ask you? How could that have happened when 68% of poll responses think that “the Ravena Health and Fitness Center is an illegal joke”?

thumbs-down young biz guyHow is it possible that (1) the village of Ravena created the Ravena Health and Fitness Center without public inputs and without a feasibility study of the need for such a facility, (2) hired an insider, Cathy Deluca, and friends to run the place, (3) allocated more than $105,000 to run the place, (4) approved $30,000 plus benefits to pay Cathy Deluca, (5) set rules for using the “public place” to exclude anyone under 18 years of age (the very kids who were going to the Teen Center), (6) made the Ravena Health and Fitness Center a “political/private” club by making it very clear that some local residents were unwelcome there, and the list goes on and on! How is that possible when such a large majority, 68% of residents responding to the poll think the Ravena Health and Fitness Club is an “illegal joke”? How is that possible when only 8% of residents responding to the poll think that Ravena needs the Fitness Center. And if 8% of the residents responding think that they need the illegal joke of a so-called Fitness Center, why is it that 0%—YES! You read right: ZERO—are members of the Fitness Center or have a family member who is a member of the Fitness Center.?!?! (That’s about right because whenever we check the parking lot at the Fitness Center it’s pretty empty. And what are the local churches doing with the Fitness Center possibly stealing people away from the church-sponsored programs, like zumba etc.?)

We repeat: 68% of responders think the Ravena Fitness Center is an “illegal joke”; only 8% think we need the Ravena Fitness Center, and 0% of responders are members or have a family member who is a member of the Ravena Fitness Center. So does it really make sense that the village of Ravena gave the RCS Community Library such a hard time and evicted the library for the space for the Fitness Center? Does it really make sense to have paid more than $40,000 of taxpayer money to purchase the used fitness center equipment from insider Robert “Bob” Fisk? Does it really make sense to have allocated more than $105,000 of taxpayer money to fund the Fitness Center? Is it really fair that a local insider, Cathy Deluca, should have been appointed to run the place after already running two fitness centers to failure? And does it make sense to appoint Cathy Deluca, an insider and close friend of Bruno and Warner, to be director to the tune of more than $30,000 plus benefits? Apparently the majority of aware readers, 68% percent of you don’t think so! So what did you or are you going to do about it?

That brings us to a very revealing part of this report: In the local general elections this past November 5, 2013, voters finally took a firm stand on bad government and crooked elected officials. In Coeymans voters gave Tom “Bigmouth” Boehm and Dawn “Dizzy” Rogers their walking papers. They affirmed their trust in Supervisor Stephen Flach and rejected Ravena mayor John Bruno’s puppet, Martin “Marty” Case. Coeymans is safe.

In addition, by a huge margin—not unexpected, of course—voters rejected the idiotic candidacy of Dawn Maddage, who was totally unknown and unqualified for the Coeymans Town Clerk position. As expected, the popular, experienced, respected Diane Millious was re-elected. That must have been a crushing disappointment for sitting town democrat councilman Thomas E. “Tom” Dolan, who really screwed up the democratic tickets, after having suffered a pitiful defeat in his own bid for a NYS senate seat. Dolan chairs the local democrat committee—The question is: How much longer is the dork going to be allowed to corrupt local politics and get away with it. Even a penile implant wouldn’t keep his approval ratings up!

New Arrival Baby 2014 Gives a Thumbs Down to Ravena Regime!

New Arrival Baby 2014 Gives a Thumbs Down to Ravena Regime!

2014 is an election year for the village of Ravena. The writing on the wall indicates that there’s going to be a big change in Ravena, too. That is, only if voters don’t allow the corruption and favoritism to take the vote away from the voters.

Think of it this way: 85% of residents responding to the poll reside in the village of Ravena or Coeymans. 80% of respondents report that they voted in the November 2013 elections. Do the math. Look at the trends in the respondents’ responses. Now figure out what direction the village of Ravena and other local communities are going to go.

Say what you will about this blog, the numbers and the responses speak for themselves. 82% (with a high of 97%) of responders say that they “get more information from this blog than from local news media.” We’d take that one step further and say that local residents get more true information on this blog than they’ll ever get from local news media. That’s common knowledge., but 72% of responders say that they rely on this blog for truthful information about the community. 79% of responders say that this blog is an important community resource. 75% of responders say that they would “gladly do business with a business that supports this blog.” That’s good to know because although we have never asked for financial support of our work, and work it is, we may need to offer advertising slots to cover expenses. After all, we still have to pay $0.25 a page for documents FOILED from local government and $10.00 for every CD containing recorded minutes, police interviews, or public meetings. It all adds up to a tidy sum. Our time and gas is also not subsidized by any additional income.

All good has a negative side to it and to be complete we have to report at a whopping 17% of responders think this blog is useless. Makes you wonder why they even bother reading it, let alone take the time to respond to one of its polls. Go figure!

100% of residents responding in the poll said that they answered the poll questions honestly and seriously. We believe that and thank all 656 responses for taking the time to answer our questions and to let the community know what such a large number of residents representative of our community are thinking.

 The Good News

As of January 1st, both the Town of Coeymans (Albany County) and the Town of New Baltimore (Greene County) now have new leadership and new majorities. It looks very good for those two towns, and our hope is that they will put their heads together, and perhaps even involve the Town of Coxsackie (Greene County), to stop the bickering and stalemates and get things done in the interest of the residents and taxpayers of those communities. We hope that the voters in the Village of Ravena (Town of Coxsackie, Albany County) will see the light at the end of the long dark tunnel that the former town councils and the present village government has painted very, very dark, indeed. We hope that the voters in the Village of Ravena, supported by their neighbors in the Hamlet of Coeymans will fumigate village hall on Election Day 2014, get rid of the cockroach infestation there now, and finally install a village team that will not badmouth and fingerpoint but will foster and nurture inter-community cooperation. Once that is done, intercommunity groups and action can step in and take the Bruno-Warner ghost town and resucitate it to become a colorful, inviting, vibrant community with a real heartbeat. The new administration in New Baltimore can now take charge and put New Baltimore on the map not as a community that digs up its natural treasures and buries its traditions, but one that truly serves its residents, fosters neighborliness, and preserves the traditional values of work, faith, fairness, family and loyalty. The Town of Coeymans can come a long way by cleaning up its own corruption now that some of the vermin have been removed from the community pantry. But there’s much work ahead and real smart governing and negotiation that has to be done soon before the enthusiasm wanes, and support for major change recedes. There’s excitement in the air…and true hope in hearts. Don’t disappoint us. After all, this blog is not really about “Thumbs Down” but about “Handshakes” and we and our readers are on the spot to make sure those gestures of friendship, community, and cooperation happen. Please do your part to make 2014 a year of prosperity and positive change!

Make it happen!

Make it happen!

After the Elections in New Baltimore: O’Rorke, Benway, Norris Laying Landmines for New Administration

Voters ousted incompetent New Baltimore supervisor Susan O’Rorke and defeated the majority of her coterie on November 5, 2013 (Janet Brooks is still in town hall as town clerk, and Diane Jordan is now tax collector). Almost cleaned house. But those left in power for the next two months are already taking their revenge before they have to hand over their house keys! They’re laying landmines for the new supervisor and board!

YOU VOTED THEM OUT!! But they're Mad and Mean, and they're going to punish you before they leave!
YOU VOTED THE O’RORKE MACHINE OUT!!
But they’re Mad and Mean, and they’re going to punish you before they leave!

You’d think they’d have some dignity, and accept the voters’ decision. Voters simply didn’t want their kind any more. So do you think they’d accept the message and leave with dignity, or show some good will in their last two months in office. Hell NO! They’re going to do all the damage they can before they handover the keys to town hall. They’re going to punish voters for giving them the boot!

Revenge of the Rejects

What? You Promoted Psycho-Cop Ryan Johnson?!?

What? You Gave Denis Jordan a Rais?!?

That is poor government, escalating spending in this way in times when the majority on the New Baltimore town council should be looking for ways to save money and to avoid excess spending. No doubt this is a part of the O’Rorke, Benway, Norris, Angelis-Schrauf Revenge Plan. Denis Jordan, allegedly illiterate, was already cashing in to the tune of more than $52,000 a year out of New Baltimore taxpayers’ pockets!

Barbara Finke (R) was the only New Baltimore board member to vote against the pay raise for Jordan! Why is there only one town board member with a sense of financial responsibility?

We say: As soon as the new New Baltimore town council takes over in January, we say RESCIND Jordan’s raise! O’Rorke and her cronies Lisa Benway and Christopher Norris have already made New Baltimore a Laughing stock by their mismanagement of New Baltimore finances and purchasing. Denis Jordan is one of the morons who made the scathing New York State Comptroller’s auditors’ comments possible. And now O’Rorke and her sockpuppets reward their royal nitwit with a raise. According to the Comptroller’s audit (see below), they’ve always been irresponsible with YOUR MONEY. But this has to be the absolute limit! Stop the lies they tell to misinform residents and cut Jordan’s pay, take back the pay raise NOW!

In the meantime, keep a close eye on what is going on on the New Baltimore town council, and watch Susan O’Rorke, Lisa Benway, and Christopher Norris very closely. They’re going to try to push quite a few things through before they leave that you’re going to be saddled with afterwards. Get to the town council meetings and make your wishes known. New Baltimore residents must demand a moratorium on any major decisions until the new New Baltimore town council takes over. And keep a very close eye on what’s going on with the town of New Baltimore budget: O’Rorke and her pals put together the 2014 budget and it probably means more problems! Don’t let them spend any more of your dollars on a employees who can’t do the job! New Baltimore voters have the momentum, now use it to good advantage: Anything O’Rorke, Benway, Norris or their behind-the-scenes villains (Yes! We’re talking about you Angelis, Schrauf, Brooks, Ross, and others) want, SAY NO!

Corruption in the Town of New Baltimore

Like the town of Coeymans, the voters in the Town of New Baltimore finally got smart and kicked supervisor Susan O’Rorke out and put in some community-minded people like Nick Dellisanti, Jeff Ruso, Sally van Etten on the board and sent a clear message to the local elitist clubs represented by Janet Angelis (of sign-stealing fame) and Hilary Schrauf (of no fame at all). That doesn’t mean that Dellisanti, Ruso, and van Etten have a ticket for free lunch; in fact, we’re going to be watching them very, very closely and any indication of deviating from the straight and narrow, and we’ll be on them tighter than the skin on a frog’s back, will earn them some unwanted attention, too. It you take the job, you’d better do the job.

Regrettably, however, New Baltimore voters kept two insiders in New Baltimore town hall: Janet Brooks as town clerk and Diane Jordan as tax collector. The New Baltimore town clerk is a glorified file clerk and now that the insiders club is no longer in power on the New Baltimore town council and there’s a new supervisor, Brooks is going to have to put in her hours and get to work on time. And no hanky-panky with the sheriff’s deputies. Brooks has had it too easy over the past decade or so because she’s been among her ultra-liberal, pseudo-democrat friends. Things are going to be different from now on, however.

Our main beef is with the fact that Diane Jordan was elected to the position of New Baltimore tax collector. The job of the tax collector in New Baltimore doesn’t require a brain, really, so Jordan qualifies. What we are concerned about is that her allegedly illiterate hubby, Denis Jordan, is New Baltimore highway superintendent. As you already know, we don’t like too many family members in small town government, at least not in the same town hall!

And like the town of Coeymans, ex-supervisor Susan O’Rorke and her cronies on the New Baltimore town board, Lisa Benway and Chris Norris, now that they are losers (they were before but are even more so now), are getting their empty heads together to punish New Baltimore taxpayers. O’Rorke and her gang have two months to do their worst, and they’ve already started: They just approved a pay raise for Denis Jordan.

Is that responsible government, we have to ask? In a time when austerity measures are in order O’Rorke and her minions spend, spend, spend. And why Denis Jordan? Has anyone seen the recent New York State Office of the Comptroller’s report on the recent audit of the Town of New Baltimore’s finances? If you haven’t, you’d better have a look, because Denis Jordan’s activities in cohoots with O’Rorke and her club are the focus of the auditor’s very severe criticisms.

What this means is that O’Rorke and her club rewarded Denis Jordan with a pay raise while he was breaking every rule and law in the book! O’Rorke and her coterie of crooks, Lisa Benway and Chris Norris, who themselves get their share of criticism in the audit report for spending town money without adhering to principles, policies, or the law. Jordan, O’Rorke, Benway, and Norris should be facing criminal charges for what they’ve done in the town of New Baltimore and for misusing New Baltimore taxpayers’ money.

Has the New York State Comptroller’s Audit Report Revealed Ongoing Corruption in New Baltimore?

If you want the gory details, we recommend you read the entire audit report. You can read it or down load it from this link: Comptroller’s Audit Report on New Baltimore.

Here are some of the remarks made by the Comptroller’s auditors (taken straight out of the Audit report!):

  • The Board did not ensure that Town officials followed statutory bidding requirements or the Town’s procurement policy. We identified approximately $301,000 in purchases that were not properly bid as required by law, and approximately $94,000 in purchases that did not have quotes as required by Town policy…As a result, the Board does not have adequate assurance that goods and services have been acquired at the lowest cost. (page 5)
  • Town officials did not comply with GML requirements for competitive bidding of purchases. We examined 29 purchases subject to competitive bidding requirements totaling $545,168 from seven vendors, and found that purchases totaling $301,137 paid to four vendors were not competitively bid or purchased under valid OGS or county contracts. Purchases not competitively bid included: Road Paving Services – The Town paid $127,908 to a company for paving services…the company doing the paving work did not submit the lowest quote.(page 6)
  • New Truck – The Town purchased a 2013 truck cab and chassis for $120,740…In addition, the Town purchased the truck’s dump body and plow for about $25,000 without properly soliciting bids. (page 6)
  • Pickup Truck – The Town purchased a pickup truck with a plow for about $27,000…the vendor was not the OGS contract holder and there was no documentation to link this local dealer to an approved OGS vendor. (page 6)
  • By circumventing GML requirements, the Board has not provided the taxpayers with assurance that significant contracts were awarded in a transparent and open process, and that the expenditures were prudent. (page 6)
  • Town officials did not provide sufficient oversight to ensure compliance with the procurement policy requirement for three written quotes. Of the $143,031 in applicable purchases in our sample that required three written quotes, purchases totaling $94,120 did not have the required quotes or were not alternatively purchased through State or county contract.
  • Low-Sulfur Diesel Fuel – The Town paid an aggregate of $21,824 for two types of low-sulfur diesel fuel for Highway vehicles and equipment…Town officials did not have documentation to show that the fuel was purchased under either contract.
  • Plastic Pipes and Connections – The Town purchased $14,758 in materials to repair culverts. [Town made false claims that pipes were purchased under a county contract. No such contract exists.]
  • Pole Barn Addition – The Town purchased building materials totaling $9,755 to construct an addition to a Town building but had no supporting quotes.
  • Uniform Service – Uniform rental and laundry services of $7,011 for Highway Department uniforms had no supporting quotes.
  • Material and Services – The Town paid $34,278 to multiple vendors for gravel, processed stone, crusher run (crushed stone) and road paving preparation material, waste management, and other products/services. The Highway Superintendent [Denis Jordan] said that he had obtained written quotes as required by policy and that he verbally presented them to the Board but did not retain the written quotes. [Yeah! And pigs have wings, too!]
  • – Additionally, prior Board approval was required, but was not documented, for individual and aggregate purchases totaling $135,377 of our sample of $165,455. Town officials said the approvals were given in committee meetings [= O’Rorke, Benway, Norris!]. The Supervisor and Deputy Supervisor told us that they meet regularly in committee meetings with the Highway Superintendent [Denis Jordan] to discuss planned Highway Department purchases, but do not ask for or receive copies of quotes.

According to the NYS Office of the Comptroller:

The Town [of New Baltimore] is governed by an elected Town Board (Board) composed of a Town Supervisor (Supervisor) [Susan O’Rorke] and four Board members. The Board is responsible for overseeing the Town’s operations, finances and overall management and provides guidance through the enactment of policies and procedures, adoption of the annual budget, and approval of all contracts. The Supervisor [Susan O’Rorke], who serves as the Town’s chief executive and chief fiscal officer, is responsible for implementing Board policy and overseeing the financial management of the Town’s moneys. As chief fiscal officer, the Supervisor is responsible for overseeing most of the Town’s financial duties. (page 3)

General Municipal Law (GML) requires that purchase and public work contracts in excess of $20,000 and $35,000, respectively, during a fiscal year be publicly advertised for bids and awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. (page 5)

Susan O’Rorke, Denis Jordan, Lisa Benway and Chris Norris have criminally mismanaged the Town of New Baltimore’s money and business.

Money-Corruption-Cuffs The right combo for abusing voter and taxpayer trust! For violating your oaths of office and breaking the law!

Money-Corruption-Cuffs
The right combo for abusing voter and taxpayer trust!
For violating your oaths of office and breaking the law!

Is this how Denis Jordan and his friends on the New Baltimore town board, ex – supervisor Susan O’Rorke, and town council members Lisa Benway and Chris Norris play with taxpayer money, ignoring New York State General Municipal Laws and even their own town policies? How long has this mismanagement been going on? What this does clearly illustrate is that it pays to be an insider…and it apparently pays really well, too.

So, New Baltimore residents and taxpayers, with all of this criminal activity going on in the New Baltimore Highway Department under the illiterate expertise of one Mr Denis Jordan, with the support of ex – supervisor Susan O’Rorke and friends Lisa Benway and Chris Norris, how is it that Denis Jordan qualifies for a pay raise?!?

Susan O’Rorke, Denis Jordan, Lisa Benway and Chris Norris have criminally mismanaged the Town of New Baltimore’s money and business. The have violated the New York State General Municipal Law and the financial policies of the Town of New Baltimore. They have criminally violated the trust and the laws they took solemn oaths of office to defend, protect, and uphold!

It’s an interesting fact that the NYS Comptroller’s Audit was held back until after the elections. Was there a plan to protect the criminals in the Town of New Baltimore and to not adversely influence their chances for re-election? Was this a democrat plan? Did someone in Albany, perhaps on the democrat committee, know about the draft audit report and pull strings to keep the democrat Comptroller from releasing these damning results before the elections? Didn’t do them much good, did it? Is there a mole in the Comptroller’s office or just dirty politics as usual?

David Wukitsch? Or is it Michael Biscone?

David Wukitsch? Or is it Michael Biscone?

New Baltimore uses the same town attorney as the Town of Coeymans, David Wukitsch. That’s spelled “S-h-y-s-t-e-r.” Took lessons from Michael Biscone, apparently. Mr Wukitsch is about as useful as tits on a bull or pants on a hooker! Where is Mr Wukitsch when all of this law-breaking is going on? Isn’t he supposed to be advising the town? Keeping things legal? Wukitsch is a wishy-washy crook, taking the towns’ cash and leaving them to their half-wits. Mr Wukitsch needs to appear before the Third Appellate Division and the New York State Professional Standards Commission and maybe have his license to practice suspended. The town is paying him but what’s he doing? NOTHING! Taking money and giving nothing in return is theft, Mr Wukitsch, and you are a thief! Time to fire Wukitsch’s ass and get someone who knows what he’s doing!

We say that residents must demand that the Office of the NYS Attorney General investigate and bring charges against Susan O’Rorke, Denis Jordan, Lisa Benway, and Chris Norris for public corruption, conspiracy and obstruction of justice! We say that residents of the Town of New Baltimore must demand that the NYS Atorney General division of public corruption and the Albany Field Office, Special Agent in Charge, Andrew Vale get involve in investigating possible criminal activity in New Baltimore Town Hall, and why these laws were violated, and standing financial policies ignored. We know who got screwed! But what we want to know is Who got paid off? Who benefitted?

The Hudson-Catskill Newspapers (Ravena News Herald, Greene County News, Daily Mail) refused to publish the personal profiles of the New Baltimore’s Republican, Conservative and Independence party-endorsed candidates. Don’t you think that might have had a very big effect on the election results in New Baltimore? We’d like you to John B. Johnson, chairman, and Mark Vinciguerra, publisher, what you think of their discriminatory, unfair, unbalanced coverage of the candidates and their unfairly influencing the elections. The publishers of those newspapers abused their privileges. Here are their emails:

We have a big bone to pick with the Greene County Board of Elections, too, and demand some action from the Office of the Attorney General and from the Secretary of State. Why? the Greene County Board of Elections did nothing in response to the unbalanced coverage of the candidates. You can read on the Greene County BoE website: “The right to vote in the United States is one of our most important constitutional guarantees and we make every effort to insure that the election process in Greene County is administered in a fair, efficient, and professional manner.” OK. It’s not! In fact, we feel that the residents and voters of the Town of New Baltimore, no matter what their persuasion, should demand that Greene County Election Commissioners Thomas J. Burke and Brent Bogardus both RESIGN! They’ve both proved themselves to be useless, impotent, and irrelevant! If you agree, tell them so! Here are their e-mails:

Brent Bogardus
