Trouble in Hooterville a.k.a. Ravena … Again … STILL!

While the public scandal of the Ravena Health and Fitness Center continues to be ignored by the mayor, Mr William “Mouse” Misuraca and his Band of Merry Dithering Dildos, William “Bill” Bailey, Joel Coye, Keith Mahler and former mummy-mayor’s girl, Nancy Warner, and while the Ravena village council, the same Mayor “Mouse” and his Merry Band of Dithering Dildos named above, are passing local laws like Local Law 2 of 2015, requiring all residents in so-called flood plains to obtain flood insurance at the property owner’s expense, citing federal mandates as their way out but neglecting to mention that the federal FEMA program is such an incompetent gory hole that, as with Obamacare and education, the federal government is pushing more and more on the taxpayers of this country and then, when there is a natural disaster, you make a claim, your insurance goes up, and the federal government subsidizes or bails out the insurance and banking institutions. Do you ever get the feeling that the cards are stacked against you? Considering the condition of Ravena’s sewer system and water mains, and the flooding of lawns and village homes, maybe the brainiacs on the Village board should require ALL village property owners to buy flood insurance!

Still hemorrhaging more than $6000 of taxpayer money every month…

deadhorseWell, while the Blond-Bimbo of the scandalous money-pit that’s hemorrhaging more than $6,000 of taxpayer dollars every month, according to the Ravena village council’s own estimates, they are still kissing Cathy Deluca’s broad bottom and still giving her free rein in wasting taxpayer money. Her most recent scam was sending out hundreds of flyers inviting locals to join the leech field they call a health club, but when a Ravena village council asked Deluca at a recent public meeting how many new members the irresponsible promotional campaign actually yielded Deluca claimed she ‘wasn’t sure. Maybe 20 or so’, according to Cathy. Well, that’s a far cry from the some 300-500 that are needed to even make the Ravena Health and Fitness Center come close to breaking even! But Mayor Mouse and Nitwit Nancy and the Merry Band of Dithering Dildos continue to allow Deluca to have her playpen. Why is that, Ravena?

Listen, Cathy: The horse is dead. Stop trying to find another stick to beat it; it’s not going to work (AGAIN!)

Cathy Deluca has no answers but can come up with a lie or two almost immediately…

But while Cathy Deluca has no answers but can come up with a lie or two almost immediately (practice makes perfect, it would seem), and she can’t seem to get things moving in the Ravena Health and Fitness Center, she’s got plenty of advice (and of course, that advice includes her as one of its principal beneficiaries). She’s now touting another “For the kids” line of bullshit, this time it’s nutrition. When will it ever end? Well, considering the money-pit Ravena Health and Fitness Center is losing money to the tune of $6,000+ every month, that comes out to be about $100 grand a year; that can buy a hell of a lot of nutrition and nutrition programs but instead the only nutrition program it seems to be providing for is Cathy Deluca’s and tubby-hubby Dirty-Hands Jerry Deluca’s.

But there’s More Trouble A’brewin’ in Hooterville…

And this time it’s the Ravena Planning Board against the Ravena village council;trouble brewing a mutiny, a revolution seems to be about to happen.

According to a very reliable source who will remain anonymous for now but who we’ll call JC (Yes, dear readers, those are the initials of Joel Coye), the Ravena village council has created another problem for itself by overstepping its authorities and messing with the Ravena Planning Board. What’s worse still is that according to our source, the Ravena village council has again violated the law and again has shot itself in the foot.

According to a letter signed by Mayor “Mouse” and his Merry Band of Dithering Dildos, Yes! all five of them (William Misuraca, William “Bill” Bailey, Keith Mahler, Jr., Nancy Warner, and Joel Coye), they are demanding that a certain member of the Ravena Planning Board resign effective immediately, stating:

“It has come to our attention that you made a number of inappropriate and unprofessional comments at the Village Planning Board Meeting held on December 8, 2014. We as a Board strive to maintain the highest level of professionalism and respect in the conduct of all Village officers and employees. We have received numerous complaints as to the statements made by you at the public meeting and in front of your colleagues.

As such, we, the Village Board of Trustees, jointly request that you resign immediately from the Village of Ravena Planning Board.”

The problem is this: At least two sitting members of the board, one being the chairman of the board himself, report not to have any knowledge of any such “inappropriate and unprofessional comments” having been made by the victim. That leaves Joel Coye and Claire Roberts, Nancy Warner’s two moles on the Ravena Planning Board, who concocted the lies.

Warner, Coye, Roberts

Warner, Coye, Roberts

Furthermore, the minutes of the very meeting to which Mayor “Mouse” Misuraca and his Merry Band of Dithering Dildos are referring makes no mention of any problem. Given the fact that the mayor and the board were not present at that meeting, it seems that the only one who could have disseminated such a lie would be Village trustee Joel Coye, who happens to be the Village board liaison to the Planning Board, and Nancy Warner’s breast-feeding flea, Claire Roberts.

The victim JC naturally refused to be railroaded by that bunch of sockpuppets and so, at the next meeting, madam Nancy Warner shows up with Joel Coye and the report is, when the victim JC took his seat next to Claire Roberts “you could hear a pin drop in the room.” Wonder Why?

Well it may be that Nancy Warner and her minions, including Mlayor “Mouse” and his Band of Dithering Dildos, are making an attempt to remove the dems from the Village Planning Board, expecially those who have been on it for years and know what’s going on. Why sideline members of the Planning Board when you should be working closely together for the good of the community? Personal ambition, greed, vanity, a thirst for power may be at the center of it all. Why work with people who don’t agree with you when you can try to make them disappear and put your friends in their place, and those friends will do whatever you ask. Sounds like a plan, doesn’t it? Piss off the chairman of the Planning Board by ignoring him and maybe he’ll lose his cool and you can get him to resign, too. Then, when space is vacant, Nancy’s little petunia Alicia Nieves, an alternate, can move in.

The republican village council would love to load the Planning Board with cronies, just like the RCS CSD board of education is loaded exclusively with teachers…

What? You don’t believe this could happen? Well consider this: Cathy Deluca is a close friend of Nancy Warner, and Warner covers Deluca’s back whenever the going gets rough. Why do you think Deluca’s still there when anyone else would have been canned ages ago. Now consider Alicia Nieves, who is a friend of Nancy Warner but otherwise a nobody, and who is a regular with Warner at Deluca’s moneypit playpen. They “work out’ together. The republican village council would love to load the Planning Board with cronies, just like the RCS CSD board of education is loaded exclusively with teachers, spouses of teachers, close relatives of teachers, “owned and operated by the New York State United Teachers, the union,” and it’s not in your interest. Same thing can happen to the Village Planning Board; it will become just an arm of the insiders club and will lose it’s autonomy, it’ll become a puppet board. Claire Roberts (kept Bruce Roberts’ name after the divorce) works in the Halfway House for Mayor “Mouse” and Claire Roberts nominated the Bill Misuraca, now Mayor “Mouse”, republican caucus to get him on the ballot to run for mayor. As New Baltimore town supervisor Nick Dellisanti likes to point out when stepping over loyal supporters to appoint a republican to town positions, “Republicans appoint republicans (so screw the rest of you)!” That’s apparently how Claire Roberts got her appointment to the planning board — she attempted to get elected to public office but lost every time so we guess the only way she could get a position is by special favors and getting an appointment. Yeah, it’s a cozy rat’s nest, isn’t it?

Warner, Roberts & Coye Prepping for a Board Meeting

Warner, Roberts & Coye Prepping for a Board Meeting

The problems allegedly all started about 10 months ago, when Claire Roberts was appointed to the Planning Board. Roberts is a frustrated politician who has attempted to run for elected office but has failed. As a friend of Nancy Warner, and a denizen with Planning Board member Alicia Nieves, also a friend of Nancy Warner and Cathy Deluca, however, she apparently wants to throw her weight around (no pun intended). That’s why Nancy Warner has to show up (word is she’s got her eye on the mayor’s office but doesn’t the bartender-turned-mayor know any of this? You can soon read what happens in the Town of New Baltimore when a town employee announces his plans to run against one of his bosses.)

Regretful Rat

Regretful Rat

A new study from the University of Minnesota shows that even rats have the ability to experience regret. Regret is a cognitive behavior once thought to be unique to humans — but absent in the Warner and Deluca subspecies —, but neuroscientists A. David Redish, Ph.D and Adam Steiner explained to the journal Science Daily that this isn’t actually the case:

“Regret is the recognition that you made a mistake, that if you had done something else, you would have been better off,” said Redish. “The difficult part of this study was separating regret from disappointment, which is when things aren’t as good as you would have hoped. The key to distinguishing between the two was letting the rats choose what to do.”

(You can read the Redish & Steiner article, “I shouldn’t have eaten there: Rats show behavior of ‘regret’ in choosing the wrong ‘restaurant'” at Science Daily.)

Well, it looks like Nancy Warner, Joel Coye, and Claire Roberts don’t have the character or the integrity to regret what they’ve started, but they sure can look forward to some heavy-duty disappointment when it blows up in their faces. And Ravena mayor Bill “Mouse” Misuraca will come out smelling like a rat, too.

But Why? is Joel Coye, a republican, contacting Tom Dolan, a sitting member of the Coeymans town board and allegedly a democrap, asking him to read this blog? That’s a question Joel Coye should be able to answer but will he? Maybe Nancy Warner can ask Joel Why? he’s going to Tom Dolan. Or maybe mayor “Mouse” Misuraca or girlfriend Claire Roberts? We’d like to know.  Wouldn’t YOU?

There should be no question in anyone’s mind that the Ravena Village Board clearly overstepped their authority when they interfered with the Planning Board’s administration. In fact, the Ravena Village Board displayed extraordinary disrespect to the chairperson of the Planning Board, Mr Al Visconti, by not even having the courtesy to consult with him. Normally, any problems on the Planning Board or in any department, in fact, are initially handled by the particular committee or by the department. Since when does the Village board disregard this protocol and act on their own. If there’s a resignation to be demanded, the Planning Board chairperson with the advice and consultation of the other board members make that demand, and inform the Village board of their action. Only then should the Village board get involved and support the Planning Board’s decision regarding one of its members. In fact, a public hearing should have been held in this matter as per the law! Misuraca and his band of sockpuppets not only committed a serious breach of the Village Code of Ethics but they violated JC‘s rights as well as current procedural law!

This looks like a replay of the backstabbing game they played when they railroaded village justice Phil Crandall into resignation. You see, former judge Crandall’s so-called colleague on the bench, the villain Hal Warner, Nancy Warner’s husband, threw Crandall to the wolves. Our speculation is this: Nancy Warner is the village board member who oversees the operations of the Village Justice Court. Yes, you’re reading correctly. Nancy Warner oversees her husband’s court; Crandall was an outsider and may have known too much so he had to go. So, to keep things nice and cozy, Nancy may have orchestrated Crandall’s disposal with the help of her crooked judge husband. But dear readers, you couldn’t all have been in the dark about what’s going on in your Village hall, could you?

We got your number, Nancy Warner

We got your number, Nancy Warner

The Ravena Viillage Planning Board, with the exception of Claire Roberts, is a pretty honest group of people, many of whom — including the victim, JC — have served the village for more than 10 years. Al Visconti, the chairman of the Ravena Village Planning Board, is a man who plays by the rules, and Rosie Rarick is completely upright and straightforward. It seems that the “republicans”, Nancy Warner and Joel Coye, and Claire Roberts, a dear friend of Nancy Warner, are the actual conspirators.

Is there a party-political motivation to all of this? Al Visconti is a democrat as are the rest of the members. Only Claire Roberts is a republican. Joel Coye, village board liaison to the Planning Board is, of course, a club member and a republican. But truth be told, the Ravena village board doesn’t have the honesty or integrity to be able to play the party loyalty card, they’re RINOs (Republicans in name only), and would change parties at the drop of a hat if it would benefit them. They have no real party mission or an understanding of what the party represents. They asked and Barbara Cumm, the local Republican committee chairwoman, granted them the endorsement.

It’s more than that and here’s what we think: Some time ago, when TCI was campaigning to get approval to put it’s disposal plant in behind the Pieter B. Coeymans Elementary School, in the territory of Ravena, the victim JC suggested that the Village do a complete study of the environmental and health impact of having the TCI installation in the village of Ravena. Obviously, if such a study were to have been done it would have raised some very significant questions and concerns. As a result, TCI jumped across the creek and set up housekeeping not in Ravena but in Coeymans. Well, this really burned some people in Village Hall because now they couldn’t claim to have won a business for Ravena — even at the risk of poisoning our environment and kids as well — and to have lost TCI to Coeymans must have killed them. So a vendetta was sworn. Someone had to pay for putting the interest of residents before those of the Village board club!

Ravena doesn’t mind making laws, it just has a problem obeying laws. We all know of the Village of Ravena’s many violations of the Public Officer’s Law and the Freedom of Information Laws. We’ve all read about the numerous Notices of Claim against the Village of Ravena for violation of civil and constitutionally protected rights of residents and citizens. But it seems like a chronic problem that the Ravena village board simply doesn’t like playing by rules and prefers backstabbing to compromise. Obey the laws on the books? No way!

“We as a Board strive to maintain the highest level of professionalism and respect…” (sounds so-o-o Nancy Warner, doesn’t it?)

steaming bullshit

A Pile of Steaming Bullshit

That’s why it seems like such a pile of bullshit when we read in the Ravena village board’s letter dated December 30, 2014, in which they demand the resignation of the victim JC, and they write, ” We as a Board strive to maintain the highest level of professionalism and respect in the conduct of all Village officers and employees.” Only Nancy Warner could have conjured up a fiction, a lie, a fantasy of that magnitude!

It’s HOT! So stay tuned…

Since we are informed lawyers are getting involved in this most recent scandal created by the amateurs on the Ravena Village Board, we cannot publish everything yet but as soon as we get the go-ahead from the party going after the Village of Ravena, we’ll be the first to publish it for your information. Stay tuned!

New Baltimore Taxpayers Sucked In Again by Teachers-Union-Owned-and-Operated RCS Board of Education

The Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District and its Board of Education manipulated the timing and the vote to again shortchange RCS taxpayers and deprive them of their votes when, on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, they pushed the vote on two proposals totaling and additional $30 million in tax burden on an already faltering tax base. So, Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Social Services Recipients and Friends of New York State United Teachers, the Teachers-Union-Owned-and-Operated Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District approved an additional $30 Million dollars in indirect tax assessment they’re calling “Capital Improvement” for the RCS Schools. Let’s watch and see who gets the contracts for the so-called “capital improvements.”

New Baltimore Taxpayers Sucked In Again

taxation without representation

May be business as usual in Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk but New Baltimore doesn’t have to put up with it! Or do we?

We have just one question: When will the Town of New Baltimore smarten up and leave the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District, a failing group of schools with a corrupt board of education under a corrupt superintendent and move on to join the Greene County success story? When will the Town of New Baltimore town board finally get its act together and take the necessary steps to ensure that New Baltimore taxpayers are not playing the fool for a failing district that knows no bounds when it comes to spending and taxation. The RCS district is losing tax base a mile-a-minute and attracting non-taxpaying population. More properties are either going up for sale, being abandoned, or vacant in the case of commercial properties with more of the tax burden falling on Guess Who?!?!

Ravena has enough money to allow Cathy Deluca’s unlawful and failing Ravena Health and Fitness Center to continue losing taxpayer dollars to the tune of more than $6000 a month, and the town of Coeymans can give half the town away in concessions to carpetbagger business with nothing in return. But can New Baltimore continue to pay for Raven-Coeyman’s debauchery and free-wheeling spending addictions? We say NO!

Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Resident Speaks Up: the RCS BoE can’t do math!

RCS CSD parent and local property owner and taxpayer Mr Laszlo Polyak takes a stand on the RCS board of education’s crazy proposals to tax the RCS community another $30 million for “capital improvements.”

It doesn’t matter to the RCS board of education, which is composed almost entirely of teachers and relatives of teachers and no representation from the rest of the community, that their insanity is beyond belief! Another $30 MILLION in addition to the more than $42 MILLION we’ve already provided for their inflated egos and salaries. How much more, we have to ask?

Rules the RCS CSD Board of Education

Rules the RCS CSD Board of Education

A Resident, Parent, Propety Owner, Taxpayer Speaks Out!

Mr Laszlo Polyak of Ravena writes:

The RCS CSD board of education has concocted two capital improvement roposals for almost 30 million dollars for the RCS schools, and are asking us to vote to approve them!

I’m not going to advise you to vote Yes or NO! on this proposal nor will I use adjectives or adverbs about the people putting this proposal together. But I will tell you why I will vote NO!

And it has nothing to do with the fact that I used to be an auditor for the State Education Department. To keep this in perspective, there is another school district in New York State that I will point out to you. It is comparable in size to ours, however, it is 9th, NINTH in the country . . . not the state but the entire country! It is forced to compete with very famous elite private schools that cost between $30,000 and $40,000 per year tuition in those private schools. The school district is located in Westchester County, it is the Blind Brook school district. Right across the street is Greenwich, Connecticut. There are no high school drop outs, last year 108 students graduated, and 108 students went to colleges and universities (not community colleges).   In the last ten years this school district has doubled in size. As you can see, it is a small village that is growing. And yet its school budget is $42 million, about the same as ours.   Their taxes have nothing to do with the quality of education. It is what residents demand of their local teachers and school board. They want their kids to be part of innovation and 21st – century quality thinking. And they own their own school buses too. The Village of Blind Brook was formed in 1989 too.

Now my reason, the big picture here . . . you are proposing this vote in the middle of January instead of May. So what this is telling me is that the school administrators and the board are ignoring — or trying to eliminate — a large chunk of our population – the snow birds, who volunteer in our community for a variety of things to assist our students to be the best they can be. That is not right by itself – nobody should be left out of the loop, especially the property owners.

When I started to do the math for what the proposals are for the things we “need”, I came up with $1.3 million that is going to affect me by 25 cents per $100,000. Then you have approximately $29 million and that’s going to affect by $1.04 per 100,000, for a combined total of $1.29. However, $29 million is about 25 times 1.3 million. So I’m saying this should be about $6.25 difference between the two proposals for the cost to me as a representative taxpayer in the RCS CSD. Who did the math for the RCS board of education? Elmer Fudd?

But forget that for a minute . . . then I thought this is going to be $30 million taken out of our community – gone forever. So that means I won’t have the $1 for when the young students knock on my door for cheerleaders or band or a field trip. Then I won’t have in my pocket the 25 cents for when the PTA/PTO kids have their bake sales, and I won’t be able to buy a cup cake, cookie or brownie.

At what point do we not realize this is not the time for such a major capital improvement. I’m a parent with a child in the RCS CSD system. I love football, I want the best safest school buses, I want our schools be structurally sound, but when I begin to read some of the double – talk stuff here, I ask myself about the alternatives. I ask about the solar panels, where are they? I ask about the cement plant across the street from the Junior High and High Schools. Here is 25st century thinking . . . why can’t we get the excess heat from those kilns piped underground to heat the schools buildings? They (cement plant) get the tax write-off and we would save millions in heating. Yeah! The cement plant gets the tax advantage and we get to carry the slack for them. For almost 15 years I have seen a school bus with a sign “School Bus Drivers needed – we will train you”. And now our mechanics are driving. [Does OSHA know about what’s going on in the RCS CSD bus garage? Or the unions?] And we need money for the bus garage, for new buses. At some time we need to stop and think why are we buying new buses if we don’t have the drivers to drive them? We may need to sub – contract parts of these bus routes out. Then I look at the elementary schools and the windows – but the two wings on both these schools are only 20 – years old, why do they have 50 – year old windows? Then, when I look up who was on the board 20 years ago, the DeLuca name pops up. Yup! Old Jerry Deluca was RCS CSD board of education president back then. No name calling, no twisting, just DeLuca names . Then I look at the current president, Mr. Latter. He is supposed to be a finance employee for Sabic, his day job? And he let these numbers out? And what about the other financial geniuses and teachers on the RCS CSD board of education? And what about the superintendent? Why don’t these numbers make sense??? Can’t any of these people do simple math?

The RCS Chalkboard: The Board of Education’s Documentation of Stupidity

When we posted our article It only gets worse: 2015 will be more expensive, more dangerous, and more frustrating … (December 22, 2014), we had no idea how prophetic it was going to be. But then we received the January 2015 RCS Chalkboard and it became crystal clear how bad it can really get. It’s getting really, really bad!

This is YOU! You've been programmed and are being re-programmed!

This is YOU!
You’ve been programmed, and are being re-programmed!

First of all, we’ve warned in the past of the misplaced loyalties and the disconnection of the Ravena Coeymans Selkirk board of education from the real people, the real taxpayers, the real needs, the real issues in this community. Back when a small fraction of local voters put the current board of education in office, we correctly noted that the new board was made up of a bunch of insiders, special-interest elitists, most of whom are married to or are close relatives of Guess what? Yes! Teachers.

RCS BOARD OF EDUCATION WANTS ANOTHER $30 MILLION!!!

RCS has it to burn!and the RCS board of education burns it "responsibly" (as long as you're paying).
RCS has it to burn!
and the RCS board of education burns it “responsibly” (as long as you’re paying).

Monkey-mayor “Moose” Misuraca doesn’t seem to have the Moose-Nalls to make any changes in favor of Ravena residents and taxpayers…

Moose balls? More like mouse balls!

Moose balls? More like mouse balls!

But back then we had mummy mayor John T. Bruno in office with Nancy Warner and Cathy Deluca unlawfully or at best misdirecting taxpayer money right and left — now we have monkey-mayor Bill “Moose” Misuraca and Nancy Warner supported by four dildos — Nancy Warner and Cathy Deluca still have their hands in your pocket but monkey-mayor “Moose” Misuraca doesn’t seem to have the moose-balls to make any changes in favor of Ravena residents and taxpayers, he hasn’t made any changes but has simply moved in with Warner and Deluca — and Yes! When the current RCS board of education was voted in, there was some serious voting and poll irregularities as usual — but no one seemed to care much, as usual you all had your heads in the sand and your thumbs up your butts —, and back then we still were dealing with the likes of Gerald “Dirty-Hands” Jerry Deluca and Gregory “Deluca’s Dumplin'” Darlington at the Coeymans police department with their bunch of mobsters. But then Deluca and Darlington cashed in their chips and made off with their pockets full of your tax money while the town of Coeymans board sat stupidly telling you they were all of a sudden short of money. Why was that, we wonder? (For the answers just read past articles in this blog!) But that was then….AND NOTHING’S CHANGED!!!!!

It’s Got to be a Joke!

braindead

If you don’t have a copy of the January 2015 RCS Chalkboard you really need to get a copy and see for yourself.

First of all, you will read that the RCS Chalkboard announces that the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District is “Developing Tomorrow’s Leaders Today.” That’s a very frightening thought when you actually read the rag. Here’s why:

The so-called RCS mission statement (in the left margin of the title page) reads: “The Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District strives to be an exemplary learning community whose graduates are well-prepared to excel in a complex, interconnected and changing world.” Nice bit of fiction there and maybe Stephen King can use it in one of his crazy horror novels but those of us living here and watching, listening to, and talking to the products of that school district know better. The real mission statement should read: “Raping and pillaging the taxpayers of the RCS community and feeding them lies and deception while irresponsibly spending, spending, spending, and dumbing down the curriculum to artificially increase graduation rates. Your tax dollars working for the New York State United Teachers union and our egos!”

Here you have an eight-member board under the chairmanship of James Latter who is known to be employed by a Saudi Arabian enemy of the environment, to have unethical connections with various questionable organizations, and who is known to have violated the law and student and family confidentiality. But district voters re-elected him! We then have the sockpuppet Patrick Brown, a hippy attorney, wife…excuse us, husband of Matt Miller…Oops! We meant husband of Mary Partridge-Brown, the personal lap dancer to RCS teachers union representative, Matthew J. “Matt-the-Mutt” Miller, who is known to have been involved with some very shady activities in the past, including double-dipping and making off with school district money to the tune of more than $10,000 a year for several years, in addition to a reduced teaching load to allow him to do union business on RCS time, while receiving a full teacher salary plus complete benefits and incentives. Why is he still there? Your school board at work — in their own interests. We then have Alice Whalen, a former teacher, who has already announced during her term on the RCS board of education that she (Whalen) will be moving out of the RCS area to Guilderland…while she’s still spending RCS school district money and taking her personal stash with her to Guilderland!!! Nice going RCS!

Howard “Bray” Engel, a teacher married to a teacher, and who teaches outside of the district. Need we say more about Engel?

William “Bill”  McFerret…Sorry, that’s defaming the furry little animal that’s a member of the weasel family…McFerran is no less a weasel, though. He’s got an interesting history, too, if anyone has followed the developments over the past 2-3 years in the local RCS athletic organizations’ history. Not very savory.

The remaining three useless widgets, Tina Furst-Hotaling, Michael Jones, and Jason Hyslop have their issues but we’ve made our point.

As for Mr Alan R. McCartney, who came to the district with much experience and even more baggage, he’s gotten comfortable and cozy, knowing how to change his colors as the board composition changes. After all, he doesn’t want to jeopardize his enormous take-home by rocking the boat. There’s money to be had and he’s collecting all he can while making nice-nice with his keepers.

We want to mention also that the RCS Chalkboard has two editors, Robert Hanlon and Sabre Sarnataro. Why is that important, you might ask?

shooting-yourself-in-the-footWell, we just barely emerged from a national economic depression. The job market and the econony have not yet even approached recovery. The infrastructures of the communities (Ravena, Coeymans, Selkirk, parts of New Baltimore) are falling apart and in shambles. Since the last census the town of Coeymans has lost about one-third of its population. Businesses, and jobs, are practically non-exist ant in the district.

One of the first things this present RCS board of education did was to take its business — rather the RCS school district’s business — behind closed doors, effectively eliminating the public — that is, the taxpaying community, YOU — from their back-room operations. The number of empty properties, distressed properties, properties slated for demolition, and the number of “For Sale” signs popping up all over the district is very, very bad news for an already stressed out region. We’re told we have to tighten our belts (Nancy Warner, member of the Ravena village council to the town of Coeymans board) while the mayor of Ravena and his brainless sockpuppets allow  the Ravena Health and Fitness Center to hemorrhage more than $6,000 a month of taxpayer dollars while paying its incompetent “director”, Cathy Deluca, more than $30,000 a year plus full benefits to “direct” the village into bankruptcy under current mayor William “Moose” Misuraca, and the town of Coeymans is in an uproar over budget shortfalls and where to find the money to cover them. But the RCS board of education is out there upgrading the RCS high-school football field — but if you’re a graduate of RCS schools over the past 20 years, you probably have nothing but oatmeal for brains, and you’ll swallow every word of the bullshit that appears in the RCS Chalkboard justifying that expenditure while calling it “responsible” spending. Naturally, that bit of propaganda bullshit is on the back page of the RCS Chalkboard.

The front page of the RCS chalkboard is worthy of Stephen King (who may well have written it, except for the mistakes). The front page is dedicated to a plan to “Help RCS Plan for Tomorrow.” How does the present irresponsible RCS BoE want you to do that? Simple: They want you to vote in support of an additional $50 MILLION WORTH OF SUGGESTED NEEDS! Well, the good news is that on the last page of the confusing and double-talking explanation that takes up no less than 8 full pages, they are asking for only about $30,000,000 (that’s thirty million dollars) in addition to the usual budget of more than $40,000,000 (that’s forty million dollars). To give you an idea of how much $40,000,000 is to run the schools under the present administration, that $40 million is more money than the combined budgets of the towns of Coeymans and New Baltimore, the village of Ravena, and the district of Selkirk combined. Go figure! And now they want RCS taxpayers to cough up another $30,000,000 for a capital project while they continue spending to “upgrade” sports facilities, while they consider cutting arts and language programs because there’s no money.

But the real clincher comes when all is said and done, and you will recall that we have an 8-member board, an interim superintendent and two — Yes! Two! — editors putting together, checking the content, and finally approving the expenditure of the RCS Chalkboard, which is allegedly intended to provide RCS Central School District residents and taxpayers with true, accurate, and timely information on what’s going on in the district, but on page one, the title page, of the RCS Chalkboard, in a textbox highlighted for emphasis, we read:

Please be sure to vote on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., RCS High School
√ Proposition #1: $28.79 million Projected Tax Impact by 2020: + $12.42 per year or 1.04 per month[+ 0.62%] on a $100,00 RCS home

√ Proposition #1: $1.3 million Projected Tax Impact by 2020: + $2.98 per year or 25¢ per month[+ 0.15%] on a $100,00 RCS home

grim reaperNow we have a problem with the $100,00 RCS home part (are we supposed to read this to be a ONE HUNDRED DOLLAR RCS HOME?) . Either property values have really plummeted over the holiday season and we’re worse off than we expected or the RCS Central School District’s figures are way off target or the 8-member board, the superintendent and the 2 editors didn’t care enough to read what they published and correct any errors. So what does that say about the rest of the bullshit in the January 2015 RCS Chalkboard? Is it accurate? Is it truthful? Is it reliable? Is it worth the paper it’s printed on? By the way, how much does the district spend on printing the RCS Chalkboard? Do taxpayers have to pay for it even if it’s inaccurate, untruthful, unreliable, full of misleading errors? Why don’t you go to a meeting and ask Mr Latter, Mr McCartney or one of the two editors. Better yet, why not ask RCS teachers why their board’s figures and grammar reflect the quality of education your children are receiving and that’s being paid for by taxpayers — or what’s left of us — many of whom have no children!?!

VOTE NO! ON PROPOSITION NO. 1: DISTRICT-WIDE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ($28,790,00.00)

VOTE NO! ON PROPOSITION 2 (CONTINGENT): MIDDLE-HIGH SCHOOL SITE WORK IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT ($1,300,000)

Have any of our readers followed the story on the tax exemptions for veterans proposed by Andrew Cuomo? He’s playing a Pontius Pilate game of “I’m giving you a choice but someone’s gotta die — and I’m not getting involved.” game with us. Here’s the bottom line: Either you piss down veterans’ legs and say pay taxes like the rest of us — in other words, we’re going to treat you like the federal government does — and risk being called ungrateful OR we can give veterans a tax break and take on a greater burden ourselves (even those of you who are veterans but don’t qualify for the exemption). Now that’s a genuine, authentic Cuomo-the-homo type choice; in fact, it’s the type of choice we’re constantly being asked to make by our local RCS CSD school board and local governments. Any thoughts on this sleezy proposition? (It’s the Cuomo equivalent slogan, “It’s for the vets!”, comparable to the RCS board of educations tired propaganda slogan, “It’s for the kids!”).

aghastWounded Warriors Project — Give us your money! It’s for the Vets! (RCS BoE: “Give us your money! It’s for the kids!”)

The latest embarrassing scandal that affects the duping of the American public and their sense of national guilt has recently surfaced when the crooks at Wounded Warriors got exposed. Here’s the bottom line in brief: According to Guidestar, a group that investigates charities, the Wounded Warrior Project might as well be run by the Mafia. In 2012, the WWP received an astronomical $154,958,901, with a measly $4,857,084 going out in grants to veterans’ organizations and $671,194 to individuals. That means that the group only used 3.5% of the money it received for the purpose intended.

In the meantime, the Officers, Directors and Trustees hauled in $15,415,666 million, with Employee Benefits ($2,226,457), Office Expenses ($12,451,303), Travel ($4,086,509), Promotional Items ($4,055,567) and something called Outside Services ($20,915,404) accounting for roughly 50% of what’s listed as “Overhead Expenses.”
