On November 5th, 2014, the Power Structures In the Town of Coeymans and the Town of New Baltimore Were Reversed. That Was a Good Thing.

Voters in the Town of New Baltimore booted incompetent town supervisor Susan O’Rorke out of the town hall and replaced her with a competent and community-oriented man, Nick Dellisanti. Also defeated was campaign sign vandal/thief Janet Angelis of the Angelis-Schrauf partnership (Hilary Schrauf was defeated). Jeff Ruso was voted to be a town council member, as was Shelly VanEtten. Janet Brooks was re-elected as town clerk and Diane jordan, wife of New Baltimore Highway Superintendent Denis Jordan, was elected to be Town of New Baltimore tax collector.

BEDBUGS STILL IN NEW BALTIMORE TOWN HALL

Demand a RECALL Vote!!!

If New Baltimore Town Clerk Janet Brooks and Tax Collector Diane Jordan Can’t Show Up for the Public Swearing In, Maybe Voters Should Let Them Stay Away…Permanently!!!
RECALL them both and put people in office who care enough to show up!

If New Baltimore Highway Superintendant Denis Jordan doesn’t like following Town of New Baltimore Purchasing Policies and the Law, and if Jordan Doesn’t Like Treating all Taxpayers and Residents Equally and Fairly, RECALL Him. Put Someone in the Superintendent’s Office Who Cares!!!

The November 5, 2013, general elections are all old news, we know. But we’re interested in what’s going on behind the scenes and would like you to know, too. The 2014 Recall Elections are the new news.

Campaigns and elections are public spectacles. The candidates strut their stuff and play show and tell, trying to convince the voting public that he or she is the right choice. Electioneering and campaign criminality, as we’ve all observed, is not beneath some of the aspiring “public servants.” Those who lost the most recent elections found out that sabotage and campaign criminality just won’t be tolerated anymore by voters. O’Rorke, Angelis, Schrauf got the thumbs down.

But in past articles we warned that if you don’t get all the bedbugs and roaches out of the house at once, you still have a bug problem. That’s what seems to be happening in New Baltimore as we write. Voters didn’t clean house and left a couple of bedbugs, members of the O’Rorke clique—they’re the ones who will be creating problems. You betcha!

O’Rorke, Angelis, Schrauf may not have been elected but they’re still conspiring to make life difficult for those who voters did confirm as their choices to govern the town of New Baltimore.

Janet Brooks and Diane Jordan were real eager to campaign and go public to get the voters to keep them in office. But they were conspicuously absent from the swearing in ceremony at the New Baltimore Town hall on January 1st. What’s worse is no one knew then or knows for certain when or where Brooks or Jordan were sworn in, or who swore them in. They’re not in office until they’re sworn in. Furthermore, wouldn’t you think that it would have been appropriate if all the newly elected town officials were together to be sworn in as a team? Apparently, Brooks and Jordan had other plans. We’re wondering if these two leftovers from the corrupt and inept O’Rorke machine were sending a message to the new supervisor and board that they, Janet Brooks and Diane Jordan, were going to be troublemakers. We find that to be a comic alliance, because Janet Brooks generally treated Diane Jordan with a certain snootiness, even disdain; Brooks even made certain that Jordan got an office far from Brooks’ office (seems there was allegedly some question of hygiene?). So, we’d like to know where Brooks and Jordan were at the public swearing-in ceremonies. The voting public had a right to witness the swearing in of their elected officials…ALL OF THEM, MS BROOKS and MS JORDAN, included!!!

The deeper dark secrets of the O’Rorke corruption in town hall are slowly but surely coming to light. First there was the New York State Comptroller’s audit that creamed O’Rorke and her crew; then there was O’Rorke’s idiotic attempt to explain the mismanagement and discrepancies. We do need to note that none of the double-talk explained anything about why proper records were not kept and even the town’s own purchasing policies were violated! We have an unconfirmed report that it’s even worse than all of that. Our facts are unverified as we write but as soon as we get solid confirmation, we’ll report.

BECAUSE WE CAN!

BECAUSE WE CAN!

The good news is that Susan O’Rorke is not off the hook. Neither are Lisa Benway or Christopher Norris. They may all be facing charges. David Wukitsch, former attorney for the town of New Baltimore (YES! You read correctly. One of our New Year’s resolutions has already come true: the New Baltimore town council has FIRED David Wukitch! Now it’s Coeymans turn to give that shyster the boot!) may also be vulnerable for discipline.

Lisa Benway and Christopher Norris' Public Meeting Procedure

Lisa Benway and Christopher Norris’ Public Meeting Procedure

O’Rorke, Benway and Norris had a perverse idea of what the “public” in “public meeting” meant and suppressed public comment during town meetings. The O’Rorke crew even voted to discontinue the rules of procedure for town meetings, and their democrat ouija board master Diane Lewis praised them for that fascist move. The new town board led by Supervisor Nick Dellisanti wants to encourage public participation in town government and has resolved to provide time for public questions and comment both before and after the board business. According to one member, the public comes in to the meeting with concerns, comments and questions and the board is interested in hearing these. Then, after the board’s discussion of pending business, the public may have concerns, comments and questions and should have the opportunity to address those to the board, too. Each comment will be noted and a response will be prepared to ensure that every citizen gets the dignity of a response. Dellisanti, Ruso, VanEtten passed the resolution. THANK YOU! Mr Supervisor Dellisanti, Mr Councilman Ruso and Madame Councilwoman VanEtten.

Benway and Norris voted against it. Why did Benway and Norris vote against a resolution that would allow voters, residents, citizens to tell their elected officials what they’re thinking?

Mr Denis Jordan, the elected New Baltimore Highway Superintendent, was deeply involved in the financial mismanagement scandal uncovered by the New York State Comptroller’s auditors. Jordan was the beneficiary of many of the corrupt practices of the O’Rorke administration. He also doesn’t think it’s necessary for a public official to keep records of anything like purchases, quotations, purchase orders, etc. Mr Jordan also thinks that his job is to do his friends favors and forget the rest of the town. Mr Jordan and his crew think it’s OK to plow for friends but that they shouldn’t plow the Fire Department. Mr Jordan has a very odd view of his job and responsibilities.

GOT SAND? Jordan species of Bedbug

GOT SAND?
Jordan species of Bedbug

It has been procedure in the past to provide town residents with small quantities of sand, if requested. Recently during the storms a resident visited the New Baltimore town garage with a bucket and requested Mr Jordan to provide him with some sand. Mr Jordan refused. His reason: Allegedly the new administration is asking Jordan to request salt purchases using the proper paperwork required by town purchasing policies (ignored by O’Rorke, Benway, Norris, Jordan and Mr Wukitsch) so Mr Jordan is taking out his anger and retaliating against residents by refusing to provide sand. Does that make sense?

Well, a town employee heard Mr Jordan refuse and contacted Supervisor Dellisanti, explaining the incident. Supervisor Dellisanti immediately authorized the sand request and Jordan had to comply. Apparently Jordan was not very happy. Too bad!!!

Our advice to Ms Janet Brooks, New Baltimore Town Clerk, Ms Diane Jordan, New Baltimore Tax Collector, and Mr Denis Jordan, New Baltimore Highway Superintendent: GET WITH THE PROGRAM and WORK WITH THE TEAM or GET READY FOR A RECALL ELECTION!!! YOUR CHOICE!!!

And this time around, the biased and unbalanced treatment by the Hudon-Catskill Newspaper Group and the Johnson Newspaper Corporation won’t be able to ignore the best candidates like they did in November 2013. And there won’t be any biased soppy coverage by Ms Jessica Mosier, the O’Rorke worshipping sockpuppet covering New Baltimore for the unfair and unbalanced Ravena News Herald and the Greene County News, both owned by the Johnson News Paper Corp. (The fact that Mosier is still working for the Johnson Newspapers is clear testimony that John Johnson and his Albany Times Union reject Vince Vinciguerra condone biased and unfair coverage!) This time ’round, come a Recall Election,  it’s gonna be fair, balanced, and legal!

Do ya have them, Bucca? Then show them!

Do ya have them, Bucca? Then show them!

Finally, former Greene County DA Terry Wihelm has left the DA’s office to be a judge. He’s left the Greene County DA’s office in the hands of Charles A. Bucca, who was sworn in on January 2 to be Greene County acting DA. Our initial impression of Bucca is that he’s wishy-washy and really deserved to be “assistant” DA. If he’s really so tough on crime and is worthy of being considered to fill the shoes of District Attorney, he’d better be big enough to tackle local corruption and elected officials’ ethics violations (or hiding his own) rather than picking on the small-fry and the poor—the coward’s way of showing he’s “tough”—, he’ll take the challenge offered to him by some newly elected, ethical local officials and launch a full-scale, big-guns investigation into local government corruption. Maybe he’d like to start with the corruption exposed by the New York State Comptroller’s auditors in their audits of the Town of New Baltimore financial mismanagement on former supervisor O’Rorke’s watch and with the conspiratorial cooperation of councilpersons Lisa Benway and Christopher Norris, together with Highway Superintendent Denis Jordan. Yeah! That would be a good start for Mr Bucca to show he’s got some balls.

(We’d make the same challenge to Albany County DA Soares but it would be useless. Soares should be investigated, prosecuted and convicted himself! Soares is in the pockets of the corrupt officials and is in bed with them. But in Albany County, that’s business as usual. After all, the NYS legislature and Governor Andrew Cuomo spend their time in Albany, don’t they?)

New Town Officers Continue to Urge Residents’ Participation

Local Resident and Business Owner Calls for New Baltimore Residents to Attend December 9 New Baltimore Town Board Meeting and STOP the Eleventh-Hour Favors Being Paid by ex-Supervisor O’Rorke and her Psycho-Cronies Lisa Benway and Chris Norris!
Here’s the full-text, unedited version of the resident’s letter.*

 Letter to the Editor

December 4, 2013

My fellow taxpayers, please note that the next Town Board Meeting for the Town of New Baltimore is scheduled for December 9, 2013.

The purpose of this letter is to provide every member of our community with information regarding the performance of our current elected officials, based on the following official documentation:

  •  Office of the State Comptroller (OSC) Audit of the Town of New Baltimore’s Procurement Practices – Released 11/15/13 (10 days after the election),
  • Town Board meetings, and
  •  Recent election literature

Based on the facts provided for your review the “leadership” has not acted responsibly, especially when it involves fiscal accountability.   As you read this letter please keep in mind that the expenditures in question ($530,634/$135,377) in the Office of the State Comptroller (OSC) Audit are approximately one third of our Town’s budget ($l.6M).

Page 3 of the Comptroller’s Audit states:

Fact:  “The Supervisor, who serves as the Town’s chief executive and chief fiscal officer, is responsible for implementing Board policy and overseeing the financial management of the Town’s moneys.  As chief fiscal officer, the Supervisor is responsible for overseeing most of the Town’s financial duties. The Town’s Highway Superintendent is an elected official and is responsible for overseeing highway operations.

Page 8 of the Comptroller’s Audit states:

Fact:  Additionally, prior Board approval was required, but was not documented, for individual and aggregate purchases totaling $135,377 of our sample of $165,455. Town officials said the approvals were given in committee meetings. The Supervisor [O’Rorke] and Deputy Supervisor [Norris] told us that they meet regularly in committee meetings with the Highway Superintendent [Jordan] to discuss planned Highway Department purchases, but do not ask for or receive copies of quotes.”  [bracketed names added]

 The Comptroller’s Audit continues:

Fact:  “By not enforcing Town procurement policy, requiring evidence of  compliance with guidelines of OGS and county purchasing contracts, and ensuring that written quotations or prior Board approvals were obtained when required, the Board cannot be certain purchases are made at the lowest cost and without favoritism.”

Fact:  Based on the Comptroller’s Audit: In just a 14 month period – l/0l/12-3/0l/13 – the Town Highway Superintendent made purchases of $530,634 which were not in compliance with General Municipal Law.

Claim:  “A Great Team for New Baltimore” was the title of an October 31, 2013 Letter to the Editor in support of the Democrat slate of candidates for the 11/05/13 General Election.  The slate was led by then Town Supervisor – Susan O’Rorke.  [Editor’s Note: O’Rorke was voted out, defeated in the November 2013 elections.]

Claim:  The letter states about Ms. O’Rorke:  “She has promoted open and transparent government together with a bipartisan spirit with her colleagues on the town board. Susan has a great working relationship with Highway Superintendent Jordan and they will continue this relationship to improve our roads. Susan deserves your wholehearted support.

Claim:  The letter ends with the statement:  “We believe that these candidates for public office will provide the commitment, experience and leadership that is needed to represent you and will put the needs of the community first. They will work hard for the good people of New Baltimore and will be fully engaged to continue to build our towns bright future.  We ask that you support and vote for these candidates on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

Fact:  The above letter was signed by elected town officials:  Highway Superintendent-Denis Jordan, Councilwoman-Lisa Benway & Deputy Supervisor-Christopher Norris.

Fact:  Wait, it doesn’t end there!  Knowing full-well the original content of the Comptroller’s audit, the same  three  officials  (who signed the October letter  and approved spending) were the only votes in favor of a 2014 raise for the Highway Superintendent [Jordan] at the November 11, 2013 Final Budget meeting.

In a The Daily Mail article dated November 19, 2013 entitled:  State audit takes issue with purchasing, bidding policies the article states:

In a telephone interview on Monday, O’Rorke said, Now that the report is public and finalized we will discuss it at the December board meeting.”

After reviewing these documents I thought that if our elected officials owned a private business the company would be bankrupt!  However, with the authority to raise taxes and/or borrow money from other accounts, we taxpayers are now paying for their lack of leadership and frivolous spending.

All too often within our community people talk about the deterioration of our society – each of us have a responsibility, as well as the opportunity, as members of our community to initiate change.

Let’s start in our town at the next Town Board Meeting on December 9, 2013.

What do you  think  these elected officials should do now?
You be the judge!

God Bless our community and best wishes to all for a healthy and prosperous holiday season,

Sincerely,
AnnMarie Vadney
Town of New Baltimore

We agree with the author of the letter: New Baltimore residents need to show up at the New Baltimore town board meeting on December 9, 2013—and we don’t mean only the O’Rorke loudmouths and the Ross-Angelis backstabbers—we mean the real residents, not the sockpuppets who take orders, residents who vote and care about the New Baltimore community and want to see it return to its roots of good, civil, caring neighbors! Take a good look at what we have become and you’ll know what we’re talking about. There’s change, BIG CHANGE in the air, and it’s change for the better.

We almost split a gut when we read the quote above that “Susan has a great working relationship with Highway Superintendent Jordan.” O’Rorke sure does! O’Rorke and her two buddies, Lisa Benway and Chris Norris, just gave Jordan a pay raise! If anyone has seen the state of the roads in the so-called National Histori District part of the Hamlet of New Baltimore, you’d think they’d have docked his pay or fired Jordan! But NO! They have to take care of their pets so they give him a raise!

We think it’s time to demand some resignations: Starting with Denis Jordan, Christopher “Chris” Norris, and Lisa Benway. They’ve all been abusing public office for far too long and have caused this town of New Baltimore enough embarrassment and illegally spent too much of your tax money already. They need to go, too! You got rid of the Dictator-in-Chief, Susan O’Rorke, now go get her flying monkeys Jordan, Norris, and Benway! Clean house for REAL! You got rid of the major cockroach but if you leave the others, you’ve still got roaches in New Baltimore Town Hall!

Got Roaches in Town Hall? You Have to Get them All Out!

Got Roaches in Town Hall?
You Have to Get them All Out!

 * We are informed that The Daily Mail is to publish this letter-to-the-editor. The author of the L2E was contacted by Mr Jim Plank of The Daily Mail who was preparing the letter for publication. Are the Johnson Newspaper Corporation and Mr John J. Johnson and the Hudson-Catskill Newspapers group, Mr Mark Vinciguerra, finally getting a conscience and a set of balls to match? We’ll see. Perhaps they’re finally realizing they’re on the losing side in Coeymans and Greene County.

Hope You’re Not Going to Leave Without Taking the Poll!

After the Elections in New Baltimore: O’Rorke, Benway, Norris Laying Landmines for New Administration

Voters ousted incompetent New Baltimore supervisor Susan O’Rorke and defeated the majority of her coterie on November 5, 2013 (Janet Brooks is still in town hall as town clerk, and Diane Jordan is now tax collector). Almost cleaned house. But those left in power for the next two months are already taking their revenge before they have to hand over their house keys! They’re laying landmines for the new supervisor and board!

YOU VOTED THEM OUT!! But they're Mad and Mean, and they're going to punish you before they leave!
YOU VOTED THE O’RORKE MACHINE OUT!!
But they’re Mad and Mean, and they’re going to punish you before they leave!

You’d think they’d have some dignity, and accept the voters’ decision. Voters simply didn’t want their kind any more. So do you think they’d accept the message and leave with dignity, or show some good will in their last two months in office. Hell NO! They’re going to do all the damage they can before they handover the keys to town hall. They’re going to punish voters for giving them the boot!

Revenge of the Rejects

What? You Promoted Psycho-Cop Ryan Johnson?!?

What? You Gave Denis Jordan a Rais?!?

That is poor government, escalating spending in this way in times when the majority on the New Baltimore town council should be looking for ways to save money and to avoid excess spending. No doubt this is a part of the O’Rorke, Benway, Norris, Angelis-Schrauf Revenge Plan. Denis Jordan, allegedly illiterate, was already cashing in to the tune of more than $52,000 a year out of New Baltimore taxpayers’ pockets!

Barbara Finke (R) was the only New Baltimore board member to vote against the pay raise for Jordan! Why is there only one town board member with a sense of financial responsibility?

We say: As soon as the new New Baltimore town council takes over in January, we say RESCIND Jordan’s raise! O’Rorke and her cronies Lisa Benway and Christopher Norris have already made New Baltimore a Laughing stock by their mismanagement of New Baltimore finances and purchasing. Denis Jordan is one of the morons who made the scathing New York State Comptroller’s auditors’ comments possible. And now O’Rorke and her sockpuppets reward their royal nitwit with a raise. According to the Comptroller’s audit (see below), they’ve always been irresponsible with YOUR MONEY. But this has to be the absolute limit! Stop the lies they tell to misinform residents and cut Jordan’s pay, take back the pay raise NOW!

In the meantime, keep a close eye on what is going on on the New Baltimore town council, and watch Susan O’Rorke, Lisa Benway, and Christopher Norris very closely. They’re going to try to push quite a few things through before they leave that you’re going to be saddled with afterwards. Get to the town council meetings and make your wishes known. New Baltimore residents must demand a moratorium on any major decisions until the new New Baltimore town council takes over. And keep a very close eye on what’s going on with the town of New Baltimore budget: O’Rorke and her pals put together the 2014 budget and it probably means more problems! Don’t let them spend any more of your dollars on a employees who can’t do the job! New Baltimore voters have the momentum, now use it to good advantage: Anything O’Rorke, Benway, Norris or their behind-the-scenes villains (Yes! We’re talking about you Angelis, Schrauf, Brooks, Ross, and others) want, SAY NO!

Corruption in the Town of New Baltimore

Like the town of Coeymans, the voters in the Town of New Baltimore finally got smart and kicked supervisor Susan O’Rorke out and put in some community-minded people like Nick Dellisanti, Jeff Ruso, Sally van Etten on the board and sent a clear message to the local elitist clubs represented by Janet Angelis (of sign-stealing fame) and Hilary Schrauf (of no fame at all). That doesn’t mean that Dellisanti, Ruso, and van Etten have a ticket for free lunch; in fact, we’re going to be watching them very, very closely and any indication of deviating from the straight and narrow, and we’ll be on them tighter than the skin on a frog’s back, will earn them some unwanted attention, too. It you take the job, you’d better do the job.

Regrettably, however, New Baltimore voters kept two insiders in New Baltimore town hall: Janet Brooks as town clerk and Diane Jordan as tax collector. The New Baltimore town clerk is a glorified file clerk and now that the insiders club is no longer in power on the New Baltimore town council and there’s a new supervisor, Brooks is going to have to put in her hours and get to work on time. And no hanky-panky with the sheriff’s deputies. Brooks has had it too easy over the past decade or so because she’s been among her ultra-liberal, pseudo-democrat friends. Things are going to be different from now on, however.

Our main beef is with the fact that Diane Jordan was elected to the position of New Baltimore tax collector. The job of the tax collector in New Baltimore doesn’t require a brain, really, so Jordan qualifies. What we are concerned about is that her allegedly illiterate hubby, Denis Jordan, is New Baltimore highway superintendent. As you already know, we don’t like too many family members in small town government, at least not in the same town hall!

And like the town of Coeymans, ex-supervisor Susan O’Rorke and her cronies on the New Baltimore town board, Lisa Benway and Chris Norris, now that they are losers (they were before but are even more so now), are getting their empty heads together to punish New Baltimore taxpayers. O’Rorke and her gang have two months to do their worst, and they’ve already started: They just approved a pay raise for Denis Jordan.

Is that responsible government, we have to ask? In a time when austerity measures are in order O’Rorke and her minions spend, spend, spend. And why Denis Jordan? Has anyone seen the recent New York State Office of the Comptroller’s report on the recent audit of the Town of New Baltimore’s finances? If you haven’t, you’d better have a look, because Denis Jordan’s activities in cohoots with O’Rorke and her club are the focus of the auditor’s very severe criticisms.

What this means is that O’Rorke and her club rewarded Denis Jordan with a pay raise while he was breaking every rule and law in the book! O’Rorke and her coterie of crooks, Lisa Benway and Chris Norris, who themselves get their share of criticism in the audit report for spending town money without adhering to principles, policies, or the law. Jordan, O’Rorke, Benway, and Norris should be facing criminal charges for what they’ve done in the town of New Baltimore and for misusing New Baltimore taxpayers’ money.

Has the New York State Comptroller’s Audit Report Revealed Ongoing Corruption in New Baltimore?

If you want the gory details, we recommend you read the entire audit report. You can read it or down load it from this link: Comptroller’s Audit Report on New Baltimore.

Here are some of the remarks made by the Comptroller’s auditors (taken straight out of the Audit report!):

  • The Board did not ensure that Town officials followed statutory bidding requirements or the Town’s procurement policy. We identified approximately $301,000 in purchases that were not properly bid as required by law, and approximately $94,000 in purchases that did not have quotes as required by Town policy…As a result, the Board does not have adequate assurance that goods and services have been acquired at the lowest cost. (page 5)
  • Town officials did not comply with GML requirements for competitive bidding of purchases. We examined 29 purchases subject to competitive bidding requirements totaling $545,168 from seven vendors, and found that purchases totaling $301,137 paid to four vendors were not competitively bid or purchased under valid OGS or county contracts. Purchases not competitively bid included: Road Paving Services – The Town paid $127,908 to a company for paving services…the company doing the paving work did not submit the lowest quote.(page 6)
  • New Truck – The Town purchased a 2013 truck cab and chassis for $120,740…In addition, the Town purchased the truck’s dump body and plow for about $25,000 without properly soliciting bids. (page 6)
  • Pickup Truck – The Town purchased a pickup truck with a plow for about $27,000…the vendor was not the OGS contract holder and there was no documentation to link this local dealer to an approved OGS vendor. (page 6)
  • By circumventing GML requirements, the Board has not provided the taxpayers with assurance that significant contracts were awarded in a transparent and open process, and that the expenditures were prudent. (page 6)
  • Town officials did not provide sufficient oversight to ensure compliance with the procurement policy requirement for three written quotes. Of the $143,031 in applicable purchases in our sample that required three written quotes, purchases totaling $94,120 did not have the required quotes or were not alternatively purchased through State or county contract.
  • Low-Sulfur Diesel Fuel – The Town paid an aggregate of $21,824 for two types of low-sulfur diesel fuel for Highway vehicles and equipment…Town officials did not have documentation to show that the fuel was purchased under either contract.
  • Plastic Pipes and Connections – The Town purchased $14,758 in materials to repair culverts. [Town made false claims that pipes were purchased under a county contract. No such contract exists.]
  • Pole Barn Addition – The Town purchased building materials totaling $9,755 to construct an addition to a Town building but had no supporting quotes.
  • Uniform Service – Uniform rental and laundry services of $7,011 for Highway Department uniforms had no supporting quotes.
  • Material and Services – The Town paid $34,278 to multiple vendors for gravel, processed stone, crusher run (crushed stone) and road paving preparation material, waste management, and other products/services. The Highway Superintendent [Denis Jordan] said that he had obtained written quotes as required by policy and that he verbally presented them to the Board but did not retain the written quotes. [Yeah! And pigs have wings, too!]
  • – Additionally, prior Board approval was required, but was not documented, for individual and aggregate purchases totaling $135,377 of our sample of $165,455. Town officials said the approvals were given in committee meetings [= O’Rorke, Benway, Norris!]. The Supervisor and Deputy Supervisor told us that they meet regularly in committee meetings with the Highway Superintendent [Denis Jordan] to discuss planned Highway Department purchases, but do not ask for or receive copies of quotes.

According to the NYS Office of the Comptroller:

The Town [of New Baltimore] is governed by an elected Town Board (Board) composed of a Town Supervisor (Supervisor) [Susan O’Rorke] and four Board members. The Board is responsible for overseeing the Town’s operations, finances and overall management and provides guidance through the enactment of policies and procedures, adoption of the annual budget, and approval of all contracts. The Supervisor [Susan O’Rorke], who serves as the Town’s chief executive and chief fiscal officer, is responsible for implementing Board policy and overseeing the financial management of the Town’s moneys. As chief fiscal officer, the Supervisor is responsible for overseeing most of the Town’s financial duties. (page 3)

General Municipal Law (GML) requires that purchase and public work contracts in excess of $20,000 and $35,000, respectively, during a fiscal year be publicly advertised for bids and awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. (page 5)

Susan O’Rorke, Denis Jordan, Lisa Benway and Chris Norris have criminally mismanaged the Town of New Baltimore’s money and business.

Money-Corruption-Cuffs The right combo for abusing voter and taxpayer trust! For violating your oaths of office and breaking the law!

Money-Corruption-Cuffs
The right combo for abusing voter and taxpayer trust!
For violating your oaths of office and breaking the law!

Is this how Denis Jordan and his friends on the New Baltimore town board, ex – supervisor Susan O’Rorke, and town council members Lisa Benway and Chris Norris play with taxpayer money, ignoring New York State General Municipal Laws and even their own town policies? How long has this mismanagement been going on? What this does clearly illustrate is that it pays to be an insider…and it apparently pays really well, too.

So, New Baltimore residents and taxpayers, with all of this criminal activity going on in the New Baltimore Highway Department under the illiterate expertise of one Mr Denis Jordan, with the support of ex – supervisor Susan O’Rorke and friends Lisa Benway and Chris Norris, how is it that Denis Jordan qualifies for a pay raise?!?

Susan O’Rorke, Denis Jordan, Lisa Benway and Chris Norris have criminally mismanaged the Town of New Baltimore’s money and business. The have violated the New York State General Municipal Law and the financial policies of the Town of New Baltimore. They have criminally violated the trust and the laws they took solemn oaths of office to defend, protect, and uphold!

It’s an interesting fact that the NYS Comptroller’s Audit was held back until after the elections. Was there a plan to protect the criminals in the Town of New Baltimore and to not adversely influence their chances for re-election? Was this a democrat plan? Did someone in Albany, perhaps on the democrat committee, know about the draft audit report and pull strings to keep the democrat Comptroller from releasing these damning results before the elections? Didn’t do them much good, did it? Is there a mole in the Comptroller’s office or just dirty politics as usual?

David Wukitsch? Or is it Michael Biscone?

David Wukitsch? Or is it Michael Biscone?

New Baltimore uses the same town attorney as the Town of Coeymans, David Wukitsch. That’s spelled “S-h-y-s-t-e-r.” Took lessons from Michael Biscone, apparently. Mr Wukitsch is about as useful as tits on a bull or pants on a hooker! Where is Mr Wukitsch when all of this law-breaking is going on? Isn’t he supposed to be advising the town? Keeping things legal? Wukitsch is a wishy-washy crook, taking the towns’ cash and leaving them to their half-wits. Mr Wukitsch needs to appear before the Third Appellate Division and the New York State Professional Standards Commission and maybe have his license to practice suspended. The town is paying him but what’s he doing? NOTHING! Taking money and giving nothing in return is theft, Mr Wukitsch, and you are a thief! Time to fire Wukitsch’s ass and get someone who knows what he’s doing!

We say that residents must demand that the Office of the NYS Attorney General investigate and bring charges against Susan O’Rorke, Denis Jordan, Lisa Benway, and Chris Norris for public corruption, conspiracy and obstruction of justice! We say that residents of the Town of New Baltimore must demand that the NYS Atorney General division of public corruption and the Albany Field Office, Special Agent in Charge, Andrew Vale get involve in investigating possible criminal activity in New Baltimore Town Hall, and why these laws were violated, and standing financial policies ignored. We know who got screwed! But what we want to know is Who got paid off? Who benefitted?

We’d like your support to get action!

The Hudson-Catskill Newspapers (Ravena News Herald, Greene County News, Daily Mail) refused to publish the personal profiles of the New Baltimore’s Republican, Conservative and Independence party-endorsed candidates. Don’t you think that might have had a very big effect on the election results in New Baltimore? We’d like you to John B. Johnson, chairman, and Mark Vinciguerra, publisher, what you think of their discriminatory, unfair, unbalanced coverage of the candidates and their unfairly influencing the elections. We have a big bone to pick with the Greene County Board of Elections, too, and demand some action from the Office of the Attorney General and from the Secretary of State. Why? the Greene County Board of Elections did nothing in response to the unbalanced coverage of the candidates. You can read on the Greene County BoE website: “The right to vote in the United States is one of our most important constitutional guarantees and we make every effort to insure that the election process in Greene County is administered in a fair, efficient, and professional manner.” OK. It’s not! In fact, we feel that the residents and voters of the Town of New Baltimore, no matter what their persuasion, should demand that Greene County Election Commissioners Thomas J. Burke and Brent Bogardus both RESIGN! They’ve both proved themselves to be useless, impotent, and irrelevant! If you agree, tell them so! Here are their e-mails:

Coeymans: They’ve Been Rejected, Rebuked, Rebuffed but Take Revenge on the Community

Voters ousted the majority of the scoundrels on the Coeymans town council (Tom Dolan’s still around but very alone; he’s out next time) and on the New Baltimore town council, while rejecting their cronies. Almost cleaned house. But those left in power for the next two months are taking their revenge before they have to hand over their house keys!

YOU VOTED THEM OUT!! But they're Mad and Mean, and they're going to punish you before they leave!
YOU VOTED THEM OUT!!

The Coeymans dems under the misguidance of loser Tom Dolan ran Coeymans police chief Gregory Darlington’s babe, Michelle Maddage, for town clerk. They played Maddage for a circus clown, and she played right along with Dolan, Boehm, and Darlington and danced like their cute little monkey, and ran for a town office for which she had absolutely no qualifications. She lost pitifully! But Maddage was just a tool. You see, Coeymans police chief Gregory Darlington had cut a deal that would place his wife, now a secretary in that racist, pandering, incompetent Albany County DA David Soares’ office, in the Coeymans town clerk’s office as a part-time employee. Imaging if the plan had succeeded: If Maddage had by some stroke of misfortune, won and became Coeymans town clerk, she would hire Darlington’s wife in the town clerk’s office. That would put dodo-cop Gregory Darlington in charge of the clerk’s office and in control of any information leaving town hall, because Maddage would be taking orders from Darlington, his wife, and from Tom Boehm and Tom Dolan! Talk about a police state! Talk about turning town government into a family business!!! Voters by the grace of a merciful God put a quick stop to those diabolical plans.

But just because Maddage and the Darlingtons lost the bid to control the Coeymans town clerk’s office. And just because Tom Boehm and Dawn Rogers got booted from their playpens on the Coeymans town council doesn’t mean that they’re finished screwing the citizens of the town of Coeymans. They still have 2 months to do a hell of a lot of damage and they’re mad and mean. They’re going to pull all the stops now that they have nothing to lose. They’re going to punish voters for making the right choices.

Psycho-Cop Ryan Johnson, as inept as he was and continues to be, has botched up so many investigations and probably holds the record for complaints against the Coeymans police department has been promoted to the rank of sergeant in the Coeymans p.d.!

What? You Promoted Psycho-Cop Ryan Johnson?!?

What? You Promoted Psycho-Cop Ryan Johnson?!?

In the town of Coeymans they’ve already started. We all know what friends Boehm and Darlington are, and Dawn Rogers had a special fondness for the Coeymans police department. Craig Apple, Albany County Sheriff saw the writing on the wall and pulled his sockpuppet Kerry Thompson out of the Coeymans p.d. with the cleverly disguised “promotion” of Thompson to “deputy chief deputy.” Thompson then resigned his position with the Coeymans p.d. (Nice move, Craig, get out of harm’s way while you can.) So what do the dregs on the Coeymans town council do? Rather than accept their fate, they promote psycho cop Ryan Johnson, a reject from the Cairo p.d., and such a psycho that they had to get him out-of-the-way in the Coeymans p.d. so they got on a drug task force. Well Johnson, as inept as he was and continues to be, has botched up so many investigations and probably holds the record for complaints against the Coeymans police department has been promoted to the rank of sergeant in the Coeymans p.d.! They promoted Coeymans’ own Psycho-Cop! Thanks Tom Boehm, Tom Dolan, Dawn Rogers!!!

Previous to the so-called “promotion” Psycho-cop Ryan F. Johnson was collecting more than $58,000 in town of Coeymans taxpayer dollars! For what?

That is poor government, escalating spending in this way in times when the majority on the Coeymans town council should be looking for ways to save money and to avoid excess spending. No doubt this is a part of the Boehm, Rogers, Dolan Revenge Plan. Ryan F. Johnson was already cashing in to the tune of more than $58,000 a year from the Coeymans taxpayer pockets!

Even Tom Boehm’s lies couldn’t keep him or Dawn Rogers in office. The two town officials Boehm and Darlington, and Rogers were constantly tripping up and abusing got re-elected, and Boehm and Rogers, two of Darlington’s supporters, are no more. Now where does that leave Darlington? Where does that leave that money-pit of the Coeymans police department? Here’s where: in very dangerous waters. The Coeymans police department is useless, corrupt, and simply a playpen for a bunch of thugs who can’t go anywhere else. They thought they had it made until their friends on the Coeymans town council got the boot. Now the way is clear to break up the party going on in the basement of Coeymans town hall and turn law enforcement over to the profession law enforcement professionals you’re paying for already: The Albany County Sheriff and the New York State Police.  There are better ways to spend the $1,000,000 (one million) that the Coeymans p.d. is costing taxpayers every year!

Have our readers heard about the suspension of two Coeymans police officers for misconduct or criminal activities? We’ve heard it’s been discussed in town council Executive Session but not a peep has been heard in the media. It’s been a very well-kept secret. Do we owe the secrecy to Tom Boehm, Dawn Rogers and Tom Dolan? How about it, Coeymans police-chief-whose-job-is-in-jeopardy Gregory Darlington: Come clean if you can. Who are the officers and what’s the story?

We say: As soon as the new Coeymans town council takes over in January, we say RESCIND Johnson’s promotion. Set the wheels in motion to save Coeymans taxpayers $1,000,000 and eliminate the Coeymans Police Department. Stop the lies they tell to misinform residents that they need the Coeymans p.d.!

In the meantime, keep a close eye on what is going on on the Coeymans town council, and watch Tom Boehm, Dawn Rogers, and Tom Dolan very closely. They’re going to try to push quite a few things through before they leave that you’re going to be saddled with afterwards. Get to the town council meetings and make your wishes known. Coeymans residents must demand a moratorium on any major decisions until the new Coeymans town council takes over. And keep a very close eye on what’s going on with the town of Coeymans 2014 budget! It hasn’t been approved yet. Don’t let them spend any more of your dollars on a police department that’s almost out the door! Coeymans voters have the momentum, now use it to good advantage: Anything Boehm, Dolan, Rogers or Darlington want, SAY NO!

Town of New Baltimore

Like the town of Coeymans, the voters in the Town of New Baltimore finally got smart and kicked supervisor Susan O’Rorke out and put in some community-minded people like Nick Dellisanti, Jeff Ruso, Sally van Etten on the board and sent a clear message to the local elitist clubs represented by Janet Angelis (of sign-stealing fame) and Hilary Schrauf (of no fame at all).  That doesn’t mean that Dellisanti, Ruso, and van Etten have a ticket for free lunch; in fact, we’re going to be watching them very, very closely and any indication of deviating from the straight and narrow and we’ll be on them tighter than the skin on a frog’s back.

More Election Fraud in New Baltimore?

Similar to Ravena, New Baltimore Has a History of Election Fraud. With the Count of Absentee Ballots Coming up On Wednesday, November 13, 2013, Will the Losers at the Polls Have the Dignity to Concede? Or Will They Wait for Us to Challenge the Counts and Expose the Frauds? How about it, Susan O’Rorke? Janet Angelis? Hilary Schrauf?

They Did It Last Time! Will They Try It Again?

They Did It Last Time!
Will They Try It Again?

Last Time Around Multiple Absentee Ballots Were Fraudulent!

And let’s not forget the underhanded sabotage by the Ravena News Herald, the Greene County News, The Daily Mail (all owned by the Johnson News Paper Corporation and run by Hudson Catskill Newspapers) when they handed the New Baltimore democrats full-page coverage and gave  NOTHING to the Republican, Conservative, Independence candidates–except BROKEN PROMISES and EXCUSES (see the October 31, 2013, issue of the Ravena News Herald, for example!) ! The candidates were not the only ones to suffer indignity; voters in New Baltimore were cheated, too! Boycott those papers, cancel your subscriptions, don’t shop with their advertisers and tell them Why?!?

The Hudson-Catskill Newspapers (Ravena News Herald, Greene County News, Daily Mail) refused to publish the personal profiles of the  New Baltimore’s Republican, Conservative and Independence party-endorsed candidates. Don’t you think that  might have had a very big effect on the election results  in New Baltimore? Why else would two very qualified candidates, Russo and Vadney, have lost to two very unqualified insiders? Think about that. You should tell John B. We have a big bone to pick with the Greene County Board of Elections, too, and demand some action from the Office of the Attorney General and from the Secretary of State. We think the Republican, Conservative, and Independence party-endorsed candidates, no matter whether they were successful or not, should join together and demand an explanation Why? the Greene County Board of Elections did nothing in response to the unbalanced coverage of the candidates. You can read on the Greene County BoE website: “The right to vote in the United States is one of our most important constitutional guarantees and we make every effort to insure that the election process in Greene County is administered in a fair, efficient, and professional manner.” OK. But New Baltimore Dems Didn’t Make A Peep. Why? Because it was New Baltimore Dems and their Republican-in-Name-Only Goons that Misused the Absentee Ballots!

Well fool us once, shame on YOU! It won’t happen again! Former New Baltimore town justice Joe Cosenza and the Mrs. moved out of New Baltimore but continued to attempt to vote for their cronies in the last elections using absentee ballots. They got caught and their votes were disqualified. That little criminal act was perpetrated by the same democrat who put on the black robes of justice and sat in judgment of others. Don’t we call that a hypocrite? Don’t we call that criminal? YES! But no one said anything (insider club at work).

Then there’s Christopher “Chris” Norris’ boys. Chris Norris is a sitting New Baltimore town councilperson. Chris Norris is a very good friend and supporter of New Baltimore ex-supervisor Susan O’Rorke who lost the election at the polls last week. We have a report that Norris’ two sons, both of whom reside outside of the area, have been voting in New Baltimore elections. How is it that a sitting member of the New Baltimore town council allows that to happen? We need to hear from you, Chris, with a statement or comment denying the report. Is it true of is it false? Are your two boys living out of the area but voting in local elections?

What? Me? My Boys? Election Fraud? Chris Norris! We Want to hear from you!

What? Me? My Boys? Election Fraud?
Chris Norris! We Want to hear from you!

The whole absentee ballot system is flawed and prone to misuse and election fraud. Ballots can and will be challenged, dragging the whole process out and sullying the voters who voted legally and moved their butts out of the house to do their duty.

We say that the losers at the polls must CONCEDE and avoid the unnecessary process of absentee ballots and challenges. And the discovery of more democrat voter fraud!

What do YOU think, readers?

How many ways are there for a newspaper to commit suicide?
Just one: Get caught in a lie.
Just ask John B. Johnson

Brief Recap of the Problem

As we all know, the local newspapers publish the profiles of all the candidates running for office in the issue of the newspaper appearing just prior to Election Day. This year, however, the News Herald and other newspapers that appear in the New Baltimore area refused to publish the Republican, Conservative, Independence party-endorsed candidates Nick Dellisanti, Jeff Russo, Shelly van Etten, Sally Russo and AnnMarie Vadney BUT they did publish a full-page set of profiles for the O’Rorke-5, none-of whom were endorsed by any major party.

On October 18, 2013, in an e-mail sent by Ravena News Herald editor Melanie Lekocevic to candidate AnnMarie Vadney, Lekocevic wrote:”

“I spoke with the editor of the Daily Mail about this. Our New Baltimore reporter, Jessica Mosier, will cover your story. Unfortunately she is away for the weekend and can’t make the Sunday event, but she will contact you next week to do a profile of the candidates. Her story would run in the Daily Mail, the Greene County News and the Ravena News-Herald.”

LIAR

LIAR

So, on October 31, 2014, all town of Coeymans candidates and the O’Rorke-5 (O’Rorke, Angelis, Schrauf, Brooks, Jordan) all got coverage in the Ravena News Herald, the Greene County News, and the Daily Mail. Nothing appeared for Dellisanti, Ruso, van Etten, Russo and Vadney. So this blog got involved and started asking questions, particularly of the Johnson Newspaper Corporation and the Hudson-Catskill Newspapers/the Columbia-Green Media Group/the RegisterStar, and e-mailed Lekocevic, and John B. Johnson, chairman of the Johnson Newspaper Corporation (owns the Hudson-Catskill Newspapers), as well as Mark Vinciguierra (formerly director of circulation for the Albany Times Useless), publisher of the Hudson-Catskill Newspapers (Register-Star and Daily Mail, both dailies, as well as the weekly Chatham Courier, Windham Journal, The Mountain Eagle, Ravena News-Herald and Greene County News). We e-mailed John Johnson, Mark Vinciguerra and the other editors and wanted to know Why the Hudson-Catskill Newspapers refused to publish the profiles of the New Baltimore Republican, Conservative and Independence party-endorsed candidates Dellisanti, Ruso, van Etten, Russo and Vadney?

Vinciguerra didn’t bother to respond but his boss did, and what he had to say was tantamount to “Screw you! New Baltimore!”

Here are just a few of John B.  Johnson’s choice expressions to cover his ass over the issue (the full text of Johnson’s comments are published on this blog, just go to the article and select “comments”). John B. Johnson says:

  • “Just because we had plans to do 1:1 interviews and then wasn’t able to fulfill those plans doesn’t mean you need to get your panties in a knot.  Sometimes shit happens and life changes.”
  • “One of our editors told you something and then changed their mind. My goodness, what a terrible transgression.”
  • “Tough cookies, Circumstances change and we adjust.”
  • “Unfortunately, 1 on 1 interviews didn’t work out.”

Meanwhile, Mark Vinciguerra spent more than 20 hours on this blog on November 4-5, and on November 5, Vinciguerra spent more than 7 hours on this blog. His boss, John B. Johnson, spent more than 2 hours reading this blog on November 4. Apparently they spend more time reading this blog than they do their own newspapers. Can’t imagine why? Could it be that the coverage of local issues on this blog are better than you get in the Hudson-Catskill Newspapers rags? You better believe it!

John B. Johnson, Johnson Newspaper Corp.: “Screw you! New Baltimore!” “Tough cookies.”

So, that’s how Johnson and Vinciguerra feel about their responsibilities to these communities:”Don’t get your panties in a knot.” “Tough cookies.” “Sometimes shit happens and life changes.” (Convince yourselves, Johnson’s comments are all published unedited on this blog!)  We think it’s time to show Johnson and Vinciguerra that we don’t appreciate being treated like yesterday’s bowel movement.

Our Response to Smart-ass Johnson and to No-Response Vinciguerra:

John B. Johnson

John B. Johnson

stick loserHOW DARE YOU DEPRIVE THE VOTERS OF THIS TOWN THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE INFORMED ABOUT THE CANDIDATES RUNNING FOR PUBLIC OFFICE AND THEN TO DISCRIMINATE, TO DARE TO SELECTIVELY PUBLISH THE PROFILES OF ONE GROUP AND NOT THE OTHER. YOU DON’T HAVE THAT RIGHT, YOU DON’T HAVE THAT AUTHORITY. WE AND THIS COMMUNITY WILL PURSUE THIS. BUT FIRST, OUR CALL WILL CONTINUE TO GO OUT TO RESIDENTS OF ALL THE AREA TO BOYCOTT YOUR PUBICATIONS AND TO CANCEL THEIR SUBSCRIPTIONS IN PROTEST. FURTHERMORE, WE ARE PUTTING OUT A CALL FOR OUR READERS TO BOYCOTT ANY BUSINESS ADVERTISING IN YOUR PUBLICATIONS UNTIL SUCH TIME THAT YOU AND YOUR PUBLISHER, MR MARK VENCIGUERRA, AND THE EDITORS OF ALL YOUR PUBLICATIONS SOLD IN THE NEW BALTIMORE AREAS ADMIT THE MISTAKE AND ACCEPT THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE DAMAGE DONE TO THE CANDIDATES DELLISANTI, RUSO, VAN ETTEN, RUSSO AND VADNEY, AND PUBLISH YOUR APOLOGIES CONSPICUOUSLY IN THE RAVENA NEWS HERALD, THE GREENE COUNTY NEWS AND THE DAILY MAIL!

In the meantime, Mr John B. Johnson and Mr Mark Vinciguerra, you’d better pray real hard that Dellisanti, Ruso, vanEtten, Russo and Vadney take these elections by a landslide because you’ve really gotten us very, very pissed. That, sir, is a big mistake; you’re about to find out the real power of First Amendment free expression.

STAND UP NEW BALTIMORE VOTERS! JOIN US NEIGHBORS IN COEYMANS AND COXSACKIE! FIGHT BACK AGAINST THE FASCIST ARROGANCE OF THE CONTROLLED MEDIA IN OUR COMMUNITIES. FIGHT BACK WITH YOUR CHECKBOOKS AND WALLETS. BOYCOTT THE NEWS HERALD, THE GREENE COUNTY NEWS, THE DAILY MAIL. CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTIONS. PUT PRESSURE ON LOCAL BUSINESSES WHO ADVERTISE IN THOSE RAGS UNTIL STOP BUYING THERE AND TELL THEM WHY! JOHNSON AND VINCIGUERRA APOLOGIZE PUBLICLY TO THE CANDIDATES AND TO THE CITIZENS, THE VOTERS OF THESE COMMUNITIES!

This One's for You, John B. Johnson! Just tell us where you want us to put it!

This One’s for You,
John B. Johnson!

Just tell us where you want us to put it!

TOGETHER WE’LL GIVE THEM “TOUGH COOKIES!” TOGETHER WE’LL SHOW THEM WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE GET “OUR PANTIES IN A KNOT!” WE’LL SHOW THE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DON’T KEEP YOUR WORD TO THE VOTERS OF THESE COMMUNITIES AND SEND US THE MESSAGE TO SCREW OFF, WHILE ABUSING OUR TRUST, ABUSING THE FIRST AMENDMENT, ABUSING THE DEMOCRATIC PROCESS!

Don’t Let the Door Hit You in the Ass, Johnson!

John Johnson of the Johnson Newspaper Corporation Responds…Sort Of…

Silly Us! We actually expected that someone employed with the Johnson Newspaper Corporation would have some integrity and address the problem honestly and ethically. But when the chairman of the Johnson Newspaper Corporation, a prig with a name like John B. Johnson (Sounds like something you’d nickname a penis, doesn’t it?) can’t man up and own up to his moron editors’ and reporters’ mistakes (John B. can’t spell, either! He writes that we have “lost site of” rather than “lost sight of”. And this guy runs a newspaper corporation? Explains a lot, doesn’t it?)

Our Advice to Mr John B. Johnson, Chairman, Johnson Newspaper Corporation Owners of the Ravena News Herald, the Greene County News, the Daily Mail

John B. Johnson

Rather than man up and admit the mistake, Mr John B. Johnson sends out a snotty response and continues to attempt to deceive and misinform by referring to two irrelevant articles having nothing to do with the issue of refusing to publish the profiles of the Republican, Conservative, and Independence party endorsed candidates opposing the New Baltimore O’Rorke 5. In fact, Johny B. seems to be dyslexic and doesn’t seem to have read and understood the e-mail sent by his News Herald editor, Melanie Lekocevic, in which she clearly states that the News Herald reporter Jessica Mosier would interview the Republican, Conservative, Independence party endorsed candidates and that their profiles would appear in the Ravena News Herald, the Greene County News, and the Daily Mail. Is the man stupid, dyslexic or just a common liar? Here’s the text AGAIN of the e-mail Johny B. seems to have trouble understanding:

Subject: Re: Town of New Baltimore – Candidates for Town Office Request a Meeting

Hi, Ann Marie. I spoke with the editor of the Daily Mail about this. Our New Baltimore reporter, Jessica Mosier, will cover your story. Unfortunately she is away for the weekend and can’t make the Sunday event, but she will contact you next week to do a profile of the candidates. Her story would run in the Daily Mail, the Greene County News and the Ravena News-Herald.

Thanks again for keeping us in the loop.

Melanie

What is it you are having trouble with, Johny B? Let us help you. You obviously are having a problem with this.

Here’s the text of Mr John B. Johnson’s response. Now bear in mind that this is the chairman of the Johnson Newspaper Corporation, the owner of the News Herald, the Greene County News, the Daily Mail and several others. And keep in mind the Chinese saying: “The fish rots from the head down.” That might explain the way the Ravena News Herald and the others are mismanaged. This is Johnson’s reply:

Hi Dumb Ass,Thanks for the note.  What you have failed to mention in your subtle blog is that we treated candidates from both parties equally.  Just because we had plans to do 1:1 interviews and then wasn’t [Editor’s Note: Mr Johnson’s grammar!] able to fulfill those plans doesn’t mean you need to get your panties in a knot.  Sometimes shit happens and life changes.  The approach we took, while different than [Editor’s Note: Does Johny-B mean “different from?”] we had planned was equal and fair.  In case your politics blind you and impede your ability  to type, here are the links:

I have posted a similar comment on the blog referenced below.  It is awaiting moderation.  If it is published without editing to twist my words, I will be amazed.*  In the meantime, enjoy the equal treatment.

* Editor’s Note: Johnson’s comment was published unedited, as most of our readers’ comments are. Be “amazed”, Johny-boy. By the way, English is your native language, isn’t it?

“Sometimes shit happens and life changes.” So appropriate! So poetic! So profound! You’re in the right place, Johny-boy!

But the links Johnson provides have nothing to do with the issue we are discussing. The one link is to an article in the Green County News covering the Republican Club meet-the-candidate event; the other is an article that appeared in the Greene County News and covers the New Baltimore O’Rorke gang and says nothing at all about the Republican, Conservative, Independence party-endorsed candidates opposing the O’Rorke gang. Johnson seems determined to remain stupid or blind. How many times must we refer to the October 31, 2013, issue of the Ravena Herald or to the Lekocevic e-mail? Mr Johnson, the inbreeding is starting to show!

The problem with hereditary management.

Any leader with a pair of balls would man up and own up and accept that a mistake was made. This wussy Johnson is squirming, desperately but unsuccessfully trying to lie his way out of a corner he just can’t squirm out of. While it’s true his staff of intellectually challenged misfits make a mockery of journalism, it may well be that the lack of leadership and integrity at the top certainly has something to do with their challenges. How can employees trust or respect a character that can’t take the punches? Answer: They can’t.

Mr Johnson: This is not going away any time soon.

Mr Johnson: This is what a real leader would respond. The Editor
