Tom Dolan for State Senator? Are you serious?!?

Warning: If you are a student or a minor, please leave this blog NOW!

Talk About Arrogance and Very Big [Bald] Heads! Tom Dolan Must Have Trouble Getting Into His Garage With A Head That Big! But We Think He’s Biting Off A Lot More Than His Mealy Mouth Can Chew.

Keep This Wisdom In Mind, Tommy-Boy!
Get Real! If You Can’t Walk in Coeymans
You Can’t Run for Senate!

We have an idea: Why don’t we all just sign a bunch of blank ballots and hand them to the party bosses. That will take care of citizens having to make choices.

Oh! And speaking of Choices, Tom. We’ve heard there may be  a bit of conflict of interest and vote manipulation going on. Isn’t Choices supposed to assist the marginalized and the underserved? Not to take advantage of them in the tradition of the Albany County Democratic machine. We’ve also heard that you, Tom Dolan, know a lot about getting the vote from the marginalized and underserved, that you  know all about filling out absentee ballots, don’t you, Tom? You’ve done it before and got your fingers burnt. Right?

So now the proverbial shit has hit the fan. According to the Daily Mail:

“As a town councilman in Coeymans, Dolan said that local lawmakers “get immediate feedback from people, which makes you think twice about the laws you pass. You see an immediate effect on people’s lives. It’s not so theoretical.”

“Dolan said that is a lesson he would take with him to the State Senate.

“Describing himself, Dolan said he is “deliberate. I look at all sides of an issue.” He also said he is “approachable. I listen. I am willing to take in new information.”

Can you believe this Dolan character? Does he think we’ve all come down with the last shower? Does he really think he can continue peeing down our legs and telling us it’s just ice water? No way! Tommy boy!

Well, in this series of articles we’re going to expose how Thomas E. Dolan has practiced what he preaches. It ain’t pretty.

Maybe instead of the campaign gimme-yer-vote trash-talk Tommy Dolan can answer just a couple of questions that need a local perspective, a good understanding of local conditions to give a convincing answer. No high-brow bullshit, just plain language explanations why things are the way they are right in his own back yard, and why he hasn’t stepped out to fix them as Coeymans town board member? Here are just a few items for rat-boy to gnaw on:

The Coeymans Police Department. Are we, the citizens and residents of this community, of the new District 46, to believe that you, Thomas E. Dolan, are not politics as usual, when, in a time when everyone is scraping and struggling, you vote to give the Coeymanazis in the Coeymans P.D., $1000 of taxpayer money as petty cash? Aren’t you aware what petty cash is? It’s a maximum of about $100 for small items, small expenses. They already had $300 in petty cash. Is that how you’re going to handle finances and economies in the state Senate?

When you voted to hand the Coeymans police $1000 to play with, did you also hand them a procedure for accountability? We don’t think you did, did you? No. Just hand them $1000 for petty cash and ask no questions. Is that how you’re going to get accountability in state office? Is that your idea of accountability for the public’s money? That really sucks, Tom. It’s really irresponsible and we don’t need another someone that irresponsible in the legislature.

Kerry Thompson. Kerry Thompson has a full-time position with the Albany County Sheriff’s Department. Kerry Thompson works part-time as a Coeymans police officer. Kerry Tompson is married to Coeymans’police chief Gregory Darlington’s sister. You, Tom Dolan, are the Coeymans town board liaison person to the Coeymans police department. The Coeymans pays Darlington more than $91,000 a year plus benefits to fill the administrative position of police chief. You, Tom Dolan, voted on July 23rd to make Kerry Thompson a lieutenant in the Coeymans P.D., an administrative position and assistant to Gregory Darlington, and to pay Thompson more than $31 an hour for less-than-part-time employment (Thompson’s not going to give up his Sheriff’s department job so it had to be part-time in Coeymans). If that is the way you are going to represent financial responsibility in the state Senate, forget it, Tommy! Your record of corruption in Coeymans is enough for us!

Now that you’re padding your friends’ wallets with wages 4x the minimum wage in this state, what have you done for the struggling families in the RCS community? Got any jobs for them? What about the unemployed in the RCS community, got any $30/hour jobs for them?

Still on the subject of the Coeymans Police Department. When asked recently about the town of Coeymans policy and procedure for processing citizens’ complaints against employees of the Coeymans P.D., you stated explicitly that you didn’t think one existed. Well, one does exist, and we foiled it and what a surprise. Not only does one exist, and not only is it not enforced, it is going to subject the Coeymans P.D. to lawsuits and prosecution because it’s a mess! Even your little goon Kerry Thompson, you know, the one you just voted to be Darlingtons administrative assistant at more than $30 an hour, violated it and he’s the one you’ve made the 2nd in command at the Coeymans P.D. Is that an example of how you stay informed? Is that an example of how you’re going to look out for the citizens and residents of the new District 46? So far, your record sucks, Tom!

Well, if your performance as Coeymans town board liaison to the Coeymans P.D. is anything we can go on, it looks pretty bad, Tom. Is that how you’re going to stay on top of important issues affecting your community, your consitutents? Is that how you stay informed, Tom? If you can’t stay informed in the town of Coeymans how in hell do you expect to do it in the state senate?

Now, back to the community, you’ve been involved in the RCS community for how long? What exactly have you done? Have you actually walked down Main Street in Ravena lately? Noticed anything bizarre about how quiet it is? That’s because most of the businesses are closed. You’re talking about infrastructure, Mr Dolan! So let’s talk about infrastructure. We’ve already given two very good examples of how you manage financial crises and the public’s interests. What have you done, really, to keep the businesses in the village and town? Have you supported the business organizations like the GREATER COEYMANS RAVENA COMMUNITY BUSINESS GROUP? What exactly have you done as a sitting member of the Coeymans town board to promote local businesses? You’ve played a lot of political games, we know, but what exactly have you done to benefit the business infrastructure in the town of Coeymans? Let us help you with the answer, Tom: NOTHING!

You and your kind serve yourselves. You and your connections have done nothing to serve the community and everything to help your political cronies.

We can also see through the crude tactic of trying to ride your dark horse into the state senate on the coattails of an emotional issue like hydrofracking. Yes, we read the item in the News Herald rag and we’re not as stupid as you’d like to think we are. So you “host” a picnic and feed a bunch of freeloaders…the way to their vote is through their stomachs, is that what you think, Tom. Not through their heads, through their stomachs. Like a bunch of dogs, right Tom? Well, the truth is, we don’t need to vote for Tom Dolan to get the issue on the ballot. Let’s just separate the two, for a moment. If you’re really interested in banning hydrofracking for the public good, you don’t need to pin it to your campaign. Just do it because it’s right. Let’s keep the two separate and honest. You’re playing a political game, Tom, and the RCS community, the 46th district won’t like becoming your pawns, your tools. You have a record, a pattern, and that’s what’s going to do your talking for you, and it’s what’s going to keep you out of the state senate, too!

We’re assembling a list of your sordid connections throughout the county and we’ll be publishing them in future articles covering your misguided attempt at spreading your putrid corruption.

This article will be continued. Please stay tuned, it gets better.

You stink, Tom Dolan!
You’ve Been Outed!

A Letter to the RCS Board of Education

Warning: If you are a student or a minor, please leave this blog NOW!

We Have Received A Letter From A Resident Reflecting Some Thoughts On the Board’s Actions.
We thought you’d like to see it.

Mr Lukens:

You brought up a very good point at the July 24th BoE meeting when you asked for numbers of players, ancillary staff, coaches, etc. That information is needed to really evaluate the requirements and to eliminate the nepotism, graft, waste, etc. that is rampant in this school district and to get a handle on better managing the almost autonomous athletic activities in the RCS CSD.

I would recommend also that you obtain the same figures from surrounding school districts such as Bethlehem, Coxsackie, even from Catskill, etc.

The regional BOCES must have some figures and if they do not, they should! A lot of taxpayer money goes into sports and athletics as well as the additional moneys paid out by parents for extra activities not covered by school budget resources. That’s yet another reason why tighter controls must be enforced on the RCS Sports or Athletic Associations, and why they must be called to task to report to the BoE as the representative of the taxpayers and parents. No excuses. Transparency!

The new BoE is making a great impression. It’s finally putting its foot down and not accepting the status quo. Obviously, it’s pissing a lot of people off–mostly those who have something to hide–and you can expect that they’re doing their dirty work behind the scenes but we can only hope that the good people of this RCS district and of this RCS community can see the good that is going to come from tighter controls, and forcing the crooks to fess up, while ensuring that anyone operating any activity in the schools, on school property, involving students, or even giving the impression that they are operating for or on behalf of the RCS schools must be held accountable and must provide proper credentials.

In addition, I would further recommend that the BoE pass a resolution requiring any and all persons involved in activities in the schools, on school grounds and properties, having contact with students, or supervising activities be required to participate in recognized training programs that focus on recognizing, reporting, and preventing abuse, whether sexual or bullying, and that any such training be made a part of the official record.

Once again, thank you and your non-teachers-clique colleagues for having the guts, the courage to stand up to the weasels on the board of education and in the community, and to do what’s right, what’s in the public’s interest, what’s in the long-term best interests of the children in the care, custody, and under the supervision of the schools.

Please share this message with your fellow board members.

We Didn’t Know…We Asked…We STILL Don’t Know!!!

Warning: If you are a student or a minor, please leave this blog NOW!

This RCS District and Community Plays or Appears to Have Been Playing Pretty Loosey-Goosey With Money Raised…What’s Worse, When Questions Are Asked of Those In A Position To Answer…We Are Ignored!

“Ignore” is the Beginning of Ignorance

Why is this, we have to ask? Why is it that Mr James Latter, a sitting member of the RCS board of education,  having been asked a number of times about the not-for-profit status of the RCS Athletic/Sports Association, about its accountability and reporting on its revenues and outlays, on its federal tax filings and disclosures. Latter, despite having been an officer in the association, ignored the questions and continues to ignore the questions. (That’s nothing new, Latter never actually responded to the allegations of his violation of student-parent confidentialities; he certainly didn’t resign at that time as was demanded by several residents. He’s still taking up space on the board of education.) This seems to be commonplace in the previous Coeymanazi-run regime: just ignore the questions. (Cathy Deluca, now almost three weeks after the famous RCS Bottle Blitz has still not disclosed how much money was taken in!)

Now comes the revelation that the “old” RCS Sports Association has been disbanded,  and a “new” RCS Sports Association has been started. But, again, no one seems to know who it is and no one in the office of the Superintendent of Schools can provide any answers regarding its operating status, its registrations, its tax status, its officers, etc. But the “new” Association is allegedly operating an Indian  football camp, the camp is contacting parents (apparently using a list kept by school administration), parents are allegedly sending in checks for $75 to cover participation, the camp is allegedly on school property, and the Superintendent of Schools, Ms Elizabeth Smith, has no answers. No one even knows who the “new” RCS Sports Association is! Much less even regarding the “new” Association’s insurance status!!! How can this be?!?

The School District and Organizations
Must Be Held Accountable!

We think it is imperative that the School District, the Board of Education, the “old” Sports Association and the “new” Sports Association, as well as residents and parents be well aware that just because the “old” association has been dissolved and a “new” association is taking its place does not make the old association’s  duties and obligations vaporize. The “old” association still has some serious taxation, organization and accounting questions to answe,r and to produce its closing and final balance sheet, just as any organization accepting and soliciting money from the public and using public facilities on the pretense of being non-partisan and non-profit. The question that still remains to be answered is, “What did you do with the money?” And Mr James Latter can be very helpful in getting that and other questions answered. He hasn’t yet but maybe if a Notice of Claim or a lawsuit is filed, he’ll be more willing to spill his guts. What do you think, Jimmie?

Until those questions are satisfactorily and completely answered, no “new” RCS Sports Association or Athletics Association should be allowed to operate in any way whatsoever in the RCS school district, in the RCS schools, or on RCS school properties! Citizens, residents, taxpayers, parents have the absolute right to know what the “old” RCS Sports or Athletic Association was doing and how, and needs the oft repeated but still unanswered questions answered. NOW! Mr James Latter knows about these things and so do the organizers of the “new” RCS Sports Association and the RCS CSD board of education, the RCS CSD Superintendent of Schools, the RCS CSD attorney and business manager have the duty, obligation, responsibility to summon those “old” crooks and the “new” organizers to answer all questions about their organizations. NOW!

The RCS Superintendent of Schools Elizabeth Smith’s responses to residents’ questions about the “new” RCS Sports Association were far from satisfactory. Answers like, “I expect that…”  or “I don’t know…” are simply unacceptable. Why don’t you know, Ms Smith? Isn’t it your job or the district business manager’s job to know or for the school administrator to know? Or is this sports association game going to be played by the same loosey-goosey rules as the last one, and then the hocuspokus will happen: those responsible go South (as in South to Florida…rumor is that the Delucas are planning a trip down that way).

Going South, Jerry?

One point is crystal clear: NO organization should be operating on school property, NO organization should be appropriating the school district’s name or moniker, NO organization should be directly marketing to parents or residents as if it were acting for or on behalf of the district, and NO organization should be soliciting funds or contributions as if it were doing so for or on behalf of the district, a district school, students, or a school organization UNLESS it has produced all certifications, registrations, documents, etc. as to its organization, its officers, its tax status, its finances, etc. for examination by the entire board of education, and unless it is subjected to the approval of the board of education, who will then accept the application on behalf of the district. Of course, the Superintendent of Schools, the RCS school district attorney, the district business manager would all be called to provide their opinions and recommendations before the board of education would vote on the organization.

It is apalling that to date, no one in the RCS district offices can give any straight answers. Moreover, it is embarassing that the residents’ elected representatives, the RCS board of education, has been unceremoneously sidelined and by-passed while the “old” regime and the “old” association did as they pleased, and then when they were called out, disappeared.

The non-teachers, citizen-resdient members of the new Board of Education summed up the future route to be followed: As BoE member Mr Lukens pointed out: “With regard to groups using taxpayers’ property; school grounds which are owned by the taxpayers and they [the taxpayers], I believe, they do have the right to know. And I believe we should make a strong effort, before we allow any group to use taxpayer property–it is our duty–to make sure that they have a certificate of insurance that the public can see on our website, and have all the appropriate paperwork in order just like all of us have to do if we want to do business.” And as the BoE president, Mr Vadney concluded, “Paperwork must be in order just like anyone doing business. I totally agree with you; we went through this last year. Before anyone comes on district property all paperwork should be in the district’s hand, must be checked out and verified before they are allowed on the property. If this is not happening, then we must do it. We must secure our liability. It’s for everyone, no matter who it is.”

Mr James Latter: Come clean! Produce the closing financial report and statement on the “old” RCS Sports Association. Whoever–we don’t know yet for certain who they are–probably the same group as before but different names–the “new” RCS Sports Association is, they must appear before the RCS board of education, introduce themselve, produce their registrations, certifications, filings, approvals, etc. BEFORE they start operating football camps, concessions, or anything else in this school district! Superintendent of Schools, Ms Elizabeth Smith, get your paperwork in order and ensure that all necessary and required paperwork is on file, verified, and confirmed by the RCS CDS District offices, AND approved by the RCS CDS Board of Education.

Still outstanding is a response on a decade of overpayment of school employees due to inadequate checks and balances, and the fact that no one ever come forward to admit they were receiving more than they should have received! Crooks! This came out in a recent scathing audit report of the district. No one’s sure if or how the money can be recouped! By the way, that was playing loosey-goosey with your money, dear readers. Still no answers.

Of course, the teachers’ clique represented by Whalen, Reville, and Engel opposed any accountability of the RCS Sports Association. Was that a surprise? BTW, the Coeymanazi contingent was conspicuously absent from the meeting. Have they gone underground? Matt Miller seems to have dropped of the face of the earth, too! (Maybe Matt “the Mutt” Miller is stocking shelves at Shop’n Save, trying to make up the $10 grand he lost when his cushy and illicit “energy manager” position was not renewed. No more double-dipping, Mattie!)  R.J. D’Esposito must have had a gladiator movie to watch or was he quilting that nite? Dirty-Hands Jerry Deluca and Bottle-Blitz Cathy may have absconded with the bottle and can money to Florida. Who knows? Who cares? Lorraine Misuraca (Lorraine Misuraca should not be confused with Jenafer “Jena” Misuraca, VP of the PBC PTO for some 5 years) might be organizing a shadow PTO or even a “new” RCS Sports Association. (Will Lorraine M. ever pose again with Cathy Deluca, we wonder?) What do you think?

Do Whalen, Reville, Engel, Latter really think it’s in the public’s best interest, for the good of the public, “for the kids,” to refuse to make those organizations doing business on RCS school property accountable, answerable for their activities? Is that how Whalen, Reville, Engel, Latter and the teachers clique represent the public’s interests and students’ interests on the board of education! We’re not surprised that James Latter wants to keep things quiet. But Whalen, Reville, Engel and their arguments and what they were saying on July 24 certainly sounded like they wanted to continue the loosey-goosey rules and not ask questions. They’re very loyal to their Coeymanazi handlers, as we know well.

P.s. Jerry Deluca, perhaps you can answer this question: Is it a misdemeanor or a felony for a police department employee to retrieve personal information on citizens using police computers and dbases if it’s done for personal agendas and not for an official investigation? Also, isn’t it the law that felons lose their state pensions? Cathy Deluca: It may be unlawful for you to use an email that misleads recipients to think that you are representing police business (like cathy@policeaffairs.xxx, for example).  Just asking.

Is that your final answer?
Regis wants to know.
So do we!

Coeymans P.D. – Soares – Albany District Attorney – Times Union Affair

Warning: If you are a student or a minor, please leave this blog NOW!

For Some Time Now We’ve Been Wondering What the Deal is With the Times Union’s Bashing of the RCS Community and its Perverse Interest in the School Board. A Recent Aggressive Editorial in the Sunday Times Union Got Us Really Thinking. So We Started Looking. Here’s What We find.

See anything suspicious in the connections?
Can you find the word INCEST?

It’s always seemed a bit odd how the RCS community has somehow attracted so much of the Albany rag’s interest and until recently, we thought it was just a couple of idiot reporters who were too ignorant to know better, too depressed to be interested in anything, or that the other communities in the area were just more boring than the RCS community.

Our thinking changed when we read a recent Times Useless editorial (read it at Flunk ’em out in Ravena, July 15, 2012) that was just too aggressive, vile and vitriolic to be just a bored moron letting off some pseudojournalistic steam. The editorial was just downright mean and nasty. That raised the question of Why? again.

And so we started looking around and asking. Here’s what we find:

A number of sources pointed to an unholy alliance, a new one, between P. David Soares and the Albany Times Union (a.k.a. Times Useless).  The Times Useless had been savaging Soares for some time now but true to the Times Useless rag’s hot-cold, backstabbing character, they’ve now become buddy-buddy with our useless Albany County District Attorney. The Times Useless has even stabbed Lee Kindlon, the decorated Marine and Middle East veteran in the back and now parades P. David Soares, the West African Cape Verde native, no-military-service, Albany-insider-club member. But, again, why would the Times Useless be so friendly and supportive of a character like P. David Soares, who has more baggage than a rock group on road tour? Soares has more scandal and misconduct sticking to him than a New York tabloid!

Well, there’s some ugly coziness going on between the Albany County DA’s office and the Times Useless.

So, here’s what we have so far: The Coeymans police department is a very loose-lipped bunch and there is little respect for ethics of confidentiality. One commentor remarks that all anyone has to do is call the Coeymans p.d. and ask for information; if it serves the Coeymans p.d. or any of the department’s gangmembers or benefactors, you get it and more. But if you’re a citizen/resident who needs information or has a right to information, especially if it might make the goons on the Coeymanazi squad look bad (as if they needed any help), you’re going to have a rough ride. I realize that’s not new information and that most of the district knows it’s true, but it has to be said for the benefit of our readers from outside the area.

Some groups in the RCS district have axes to grind. Those particular groups have moles or implants in the Coeymans police department, and the Coeymans police department has moles and implants in the Albany County District Attorney’s offices (Darlington’s wife, Hal Warner’s Daughter, Louis Neri, and others). Not only that, the Coeymans police department has moles and implants in the Albany County Sheriff’s department, like Kerry Thompson, who is also married to Gregory Darlington’s sister. And we shouldn’t forget our dorkus maximus, one of the major goons himself, Gerald “Dirty-Hands Jerry” Deluca, who has the Coeymans police department in a strangle hold, and uses it to do his bidding whenever possible. (By the way, where’s baby-goon, Ryan Johnson, been? Is he on disciplinary furlough or something? We’ve received reports that it’s been some time since anyone’s seen him in uniform. If anyone knows anything about baby-goon, please let us know!)

Now, let’s move on to the County Offices, especially the Albany County District Attorney’s office,  where the Coeymans police department has plenty of moles and implants. It’s only reasonable that in this election year and with the scandal-ridden incumbent DA, Paulo David Soares, being challenged by a highly qualified opponent from his own party, Lee Kindlon, that the ultra-liberal asskissers at the Times Union are going to be all over the DA’s office for whatever they can suck off it. It’s an ideal situation for the Coeymanazi moles and implants, mindless clay pigeons that they are, to “leak” this or that about the RCS community, and have an eager mouth to feed at the Times Useless.

We mustn’t forget that the Times Union, especially its senior editor Rex Smith, has really close ties with that Canaanite who runs WAMC, Alan Chartok, who like most of the Jewish community, tend to be liberals, and because of the pornographic love affair between Smith and Chartok, and by extension, the alliance between the Times Useless and Radio Free Israel, WAMChartok, the liberal incoumbent Albany County DA can expect to be a positive focus for all that’s liberally evil in the Capital District. (You know the marriage is perverse when the Canaanite Chartok, a retired SUNY professor of communications, insists that he be referred to as “Doctor” Alan Chartok–apparently he’s suffering some sort of Jewish guilt that he never became the MD his mother wished for–and the fact that he’s obviously a hypochondriac! Rex Smith (Times Useless senior editor is a regular on WAMChartok”s Roundtable program…nothing substantial, just an idiotic giggle game and lovefest!)

Now what does that mean for the traditionally conservative rural residents of the town of Coeymans (now rifely infiltrated by the nouveaux riches and the urban escapee-wannabe-suburbanite/country gentry, masculinized postmenopausals (feminized in the case of the male postmenopausals), and whiney wannabe moms-and-pseudoprofessionals afflicted with vocal fries)? Well, most of the Coeymanazis are Democrats or liberals so they fit in well with the over-the-top mix in the local media and the DA’s office. That’s not subject to dispute. They all strive to be individuals but to live individually while using the resources of community. “What’s yours is mine and what’s mine is none of your business!” You know the types. They’re also the ones with no fixed values and no ethics, which means that they make the rules as they play the game, and Rule No. 1 is: Don’t fail! Get all the toys. We saw how they play by the rules during the period up to the budget vote. Not a pretty sight.

So, there you have it. Simple really! The Coeymanazis have weasled their way into and have corrupted the very office that is responsible for defending the law and overseeing law enforcement. Once the DA’s office has been infiltrated and corrupted, it’s a key processing point for getting misinformation to the local media and getting the misinformation out into the greater community.

You now have the basics and you don’t need us to lead you to the dung pile… just follow the stench!

For your further reading pleasure you may want to stop by the News 10 site and A Call for David Soares to Resign,  Sores Spot (I like to call it Sores Spot), especially the article  It’s Smoking-Gun Time for David Soares and the Albany Times-Union, and Waiting for the Times-Union . Another worthwhile blog that deals with Albany County is Albany Citizen One, and a simple search of the site will get you tons of information on Albany County and the dirt. I found the artilce on the Albany County DA race to be intresting, Analysis: The AlbCo DA’s Race.

A dog returns to its own vomit
Like the fool to her folly!

This is a quote from Proverbs 26:2 and from 2 Peter II:22. Basically, it means that fools never learn from past mistakes or history and continue to do the same stupid things or endure the same abuse. Like the definition of insanity: Doing the same thing over and over again and getting the same results.

One Step Forward, Two Steps Backward: Kerry Thompson gets $30+/hour!

Warning: If you are a student or a minor, please leave this blog NOW!

Complaints, Lawsuits, Fear of the Coeymanazi Coeymans Police Department…Overspending, Wild Spending Habits, A Major Chunk of the Town Budget–Now the Coeymans Police Department “Promotes” Albany CountySheriff’s Department Employee and Part-Time Coeymans Cop Kerry Thompson to Lieutenant and the Coeymans Town Board Approves Thompson’s Hourly Rate at More Than $30/Hour!

Grab the Money and Run!
More Spending for Less Service

According to our recent poll 64% of persons responded would like to see the Coeymans police department eliminated; 59% of persons responding said they would support a referendum to eliminate the Coeymans police department. 46% said that they were concerned by the coziness between the Albany County and the Coeymans police department. 38% of responders reported that their rights were violated by either the Coeymans police department or a Coeymans police officer, and were unsatisfied with the reponse of the Coeymans police department.

These are pretty damning figures from a fairly well-educated, intelligent group of people who read this blog, and take the time to participate in our polls. Such a large percentage wo want to see the Coeymans police department eliminated and who would support a referendum to eliminate it is a good reason to continue reviewing the department and whether it is justified. A very concerning rate of persons responding to the poll report that they feel their rights were violated by the Coeymans police department or by a Coeymans police officer.

So, this raises a very appropriate question after the July 23, 2012, Coeymans town board meeting at which Flach, Dolan, Boehme, and Masti unanimously approved Albany County Sheriff department employee and part-time Coeymans police officer Kerry Thompson to be a less-than-full-time lieutenant in the Coeymans police department at an hourly rate of more than $30.00/hour! More than $30.00 an hour for what the Coeymans town board described as largely “administrative.”

Is this town absolutely nutz?

Has the town board completely lost it’s mind or are they 100% owned by the Coeymanazis, Dolan, and Albany County! Are you, dear readers, citizens, and residents going to believe that Gregory Darlington, with his more than $91,000 annual salary and the some 18 other full- and part-time employees, including one Coeymans police officer, Contento (“contento” is Italian for “happy”, “pleased with yourself” Wouldn’t you be?), who pulled more than $84,000 in salary in 2011, are so overworked that they need to put a lieutenant on the staff (he’s already there but they’re pulling a fast one to “promote” him) for more than $30/hour. How many Coeymans residents are making that kind of money on one or two jobs?

And an administrative position, to add salt to our wounds?!?! What kind of favor, reward is this, now? A very special Thank You! to Kerr Thompson for his fine service to this community as a part-timer? Or is it because he’s married to chief Gregory Darlingtons’s sister? Did you miss that little tidbit when we published it some time ago?

When is this insane spending and rewarding, this favoritism at taxpayer expense going to finally stop???

This is an absolute disgrace considering the general attitude of the community regarding the Coeymans police, their antics, and their spending habits! And Cathy Deluca, wife of Coeymans police department employee, Gerald “Dirty Hands Jerry” Deluca is sending residents out collecting empty cans and bottles to send school children on field trips because, ‘There’s no money in the school budget for that.”  Does anyone smell something funny going on around here?

Go on! Give them some more!
And Keep Collecting Those Bottles…It’s for the kids!

Was the recent award of more than $18,000 from Albany County DA David Soares a prelude to this ridiculous action taken by the Coeymans town board? Are any of you aware that Thompson works full-time for the Albany County Sheriff’s Department; How does he expect to do two jobs at the same time?  (This multiple job syndrome appears to be a unique situation in the RCS community: Matt Miller had three jobs at the same time: teacher, teachers union president/union rep, and energy manager, until his little criminal career was ended by the RCS board of education. Look at Dirty-Hands Jerry Deluca’s multiple jobs! Deluca claims to have at least 5 jobs, and still manages to collect a salary from the Coeymans police department as a police investigator with no qualifications! And now we have Kerry Thompson who is going to come on to do “administrative work” (Wait a minute! Isn’t that Darlington’s job? He’s getting $91,000 to do it!) and Coeymans is going to be paying him $30/hour (between $30-45,000 a year, part-time! That’s more than most RCS residents take home, my friends!)) This town is apparently  rolling is spare change and nobody knows it! Keep collecting those bottles and cans!

We can see Thomas E. Dolan screwing the community like that–he’s in it with Darlington and his gang of Coeymanazis— but it’s beyond us that Peter Masti went along with the gift-giving frenzy, even that Stephen Flach went along with it. Scandalous! Disgraceful!

Our Advice: The Coeymans Police Department Needs a State Audit VERY VERY Badly!

The Comptroller or the NYS Office of the Attorney General Needs to Take a Good Long Look at the Town of Coeymans Finances and especially the Financial (Mis)Management and Accounting Abuses/Practices of the Coeymans Police Department, Including its Staffing Practices!

Will someone please WAKE UP!!! That’s YOUR $$$ They’re Burning!!!

It’s Time to Hit the Button!

Hidden Costs of the RCS Bottle Blitz

RCS Bottle Blitz
Ill-Conceived, Ignorant, and Destructive!

RAVENA-COEYMANS-SELKIRK — Kathy DeLuca and Lorraine Misuraca (left to right) next to the countless bottles donated last Thursday at the RCS High School cafeteria. Photo by Tom Tucker (Source: News Herald 138/22, July 19, 2012)

When asked several times on the RCS Friends and More Facebook site, Cathy Deluca refused to respond to the question, “How much money did the Bottle Blitz make?” Her response was, “Just ignore him.” Apparently it’s a big secret (like so much else surrounding her activities. See our article, Asskissers: No Answers, Just Censorship.). She wasn’t asked what the cost of the RCS Bottle Blitz might be. So we’re providing an estimate of the devastating cost of Deluca’s RCS Bottle Blitz.

In a recent CNN report Soft drinks: Public enemy No.1 in obesity fight? (CNN Fri April 27, 2012) Caleb Helleman writes:”Meanwhile, about 1 in 4 Americans gets at least 200 calories a day from sugary drinks. These numbers, along with work like Stanhope’s, gives ammunition to doctors and public health officials who say soda should be treated as public health enemy No. 1.”

Of course, CocaCola, the world’s largest soft-drink manufacturer takes a different view, saying: “There is no scientific evidence that connects sugary beverages to obesity,” says Katie Bayne, Coca-Cola’s president of sparkling beverages in North America, in an exclusive interview.” While Samantha Levine, spokesperson for New York mayor Bloomberg, says “Coke’s numbers have more fizz than fact. “The fact remains,” she says, “sugary beverages are a key driver of the obesity crisis that is killing 5,800 New Yorkers and costing the city $4 billion annually.”

According to an article published in the New York Times, “Soda: A Sin We Sip Instead of Smoke?” (Mark Bittman, February 13, 2012): “The problem is that at roughly 50 gallons per person per year, our consumption of soda, not to mention other sugar-sweetened beverages, is far from moderate, and appears to be an important factor in the rise in childhood obesity.

Fat in a Can!

This increase is at least partly responsible for a rise in what can no longer be called “adult onset” diabetes — because more and more children are now developing it.” The article continues, “Last week, the Obama administration announced a plan to ban candy and sweetened beverages from schools. A campaign against childhood obesity will be led by the first lady, Michelle Obama. And a growing number of public health advocates are pushing for even more aggressive actions, urging that soda be treated like tobacco: with taxes, warning labels and a massive public health marketing campaign, all to discourage consumption.”

Agendas like the RCS Bottle Blitz are in direct contravention and opposition to the White House, especially First Lady Michelle Obama’s focused campaign on health and nutrition, the National Institutes of Health, and public health efforts to stem the epidemic of obesity and related  health problems, and alcohol related morbidity and mortality, especially in young persons!

What about beer cans and bottles? Alcohol consumption can affect the individual, family, community in many ways, ranging from relatively minor consequences to incapacitation and even death, and the consumption doesn’t have to be extreme nor does it have to be “alcoholism.” The disease potentially affects everything in a person’s life, as the consequences of drinking snowball into bigger and bigger problems. There is a definite sense of progression with the effects that alcoholism has on an individual. Over the long run, things always get worse….never better.

Brewing for Trouble!
Potential Corpses in a Can!

To get some idea of the cost of alcohol abuse, the National Institutes of Health NIH released a report “Economic Costs of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Estimated at $246 Billion in The United States,”  which states that: “The new study reports that alcohol abuse and alcoholism generated about 60 percent of the estimated costs ($148 billion), while drug abuse and dependence accounted for the remaining 40 percent ($98 billion).” Here’s the real sock-it-to-me: Those figures were for 1998! Imagine what they in today’s figures! (Here’s a hint: The update calculations indicate that costs of alcohol abuse grew from $148 billion in 1992 to $185 billion in 1998, approximately a 25 percent increase, for an average annual increase of 3.8 percent. Source: Economic Costs of Alcohol and Drug Abuse (2002))

Alcohol abuse produces its evil effects mentally, physically, socially, spiritually. The overall cost to our society from alcoholism:

1) Lost time and money
2) Lost lives
3) Broken homes and families
4) Lost productivity (missed days of work, lost jobs, etc.)
5) Litigation and criminal costs

And don’t you wonder: How many of those cans and bottles were drained by underage kids? How much dangerous sex occurred after downing a couple of brews? How many jumped behind the wheel to drive?

About 5000 teenagers die every year due to alcohol use. In 2008, 11,773 people were killed in alcohol-impaired driving crashes, accounting for nearly one-third (32%) of all traffic-related deaths in the United States. (Source: SADD Underage Drinking).

Teens who are drinking are more likely to have unprotected sex, which can lead to potentially fatal sexually transmitted diseases, as well as unwanted pregnancies. (For more information on teenager alcohol related deaths see Teen Alcohol Abuse).

Headlines like the San Francisco Chronicle’s “Teenage Drinking a U.S. Epidemic” [2/26/02] and the New York Post’s “Boozed-Up Teens In Dangerous Liaisons,” [2/7/02] shout along with the advocates’ PR campaigns, often including hyped-up quotes from people like the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse (CASA)’s head Joe Califano, such as “Alcohol is the fatal attraction for many teens.”

So, for those of you who come up with the stock response, “personal,” “political,” “private vendetta,” or some similar stupidity to anything that anyone says against the idiotic and poorly planned projects some misguided adults in this community come up with to raise money for the district’s children, we’d like to point out that national and well-established statistics point to the fact that soft drinks and alcohol are time bombs.

This raises the question, then, of the appropriateness and the ethics of collecting empty containers that once contained the dangerous substances to raise money for programs for children! Here’s the logic: To get empty cans and bottles, the cans and bottles first have to be purchased. They then have to be transported. Then their contents are consumed by adults or by minors. Once they’re in the body, they work their evil magic: obesity, diabetes, drunkenness, death, etc.

BUT:

All those pretty cans and bottles are given positive value by the program organizers, especially in the children’s innocent eyes, because those emptied containers are associated with field trips, fun,  friends! You are, in fact, positively reinforcing a misinformed positive image for the causes of major public health problems!

In other words, the RCS Bottle Blitz is sending the WRONG MESSAGE! It’s providing negative education and working against all public health efforts to curb soft-drink and alcohol consumption based on solid scientific evidence! It’s teaching those innocent vulnerable minds that soft drinks and alcohol are good, and they should be purchased and consumed, because the empty containers make happy things happen. What are you people thinking!!!!

What are you morons thinking?

In the July 19th News Herald, a newspaper that provides information and, Yes! education, features a large color photograph of Ms Cathy Deluca, the “inspired” organizer of the RCS Bottle Blitz, together with Lorraine Misuraca (not to be confused with Jenafer “Jena”Misuraca, who has served as the VP on  one of the RCS school PTO’s. Jena had to shut down the PBC PTO’s FaceBook page because of the arguing), posing stupidly self-satisfied in front of what are described as “47 bags of bottles and cans and 74 cases.” You don’t need a magnifying glass to make out the beer labels and the soda cans. And the title reads, “Bottle Blitz is huge success.” Not for your children’s health, not for the mortality statistics, not for the public’s health. But maybe for the misguided public image of a couple of ignorant residents and the bottom line of the beer brewers and the soda manufacturers, the manufacturers of corn syrups, and retailers.

The RCS Bottle Blitz is irresponsible and misleading in many ways and does not represent good education nor the interests of the children it’s publicized to benefit!

Now, our scathing question is not what was going on in the editor’s pinhead, nor what Cathy Deluca was thinking (that’s scary in itself), but where are the educators, the teachers in all of this. Shouldn’t those highly paid, highly educated, highly paid morons have come out with some facts and figures, some options, some alternatives? Oh! Excuse me! They have the summer off, don’t they.

Challenge: Ms Cathy Deluca, Lorraine Misuraca, Superintendent Elizabeth Smith, Melanie Lekocevic we and our readers would like to hear your response to this article. Please send us your comments. Warning: And, given the atmosphere in the RCS school district, please don’t point a finger at the RCS board of education for not having stepped up to prevent this ill-conceived fiasco. You know as well as we do that if any BoE member, other than the teacher’s clique (by the way, where was Whalen, Engel, the teachers when this was being proposed? Teddy Reville, James Latter?)  lifted so much as a finger to point out the risks of the Bottle Blitz, he or she would have been lynched by the Coeymanazis. So don’t try to pull that one on us, Deluca and friends.

Albany County DA David Soares: Censured Blowhard

Warning: If you are a student or a minor, please leave this blog NOW!

Soares’ Reputation Doesn’t Do Much Soaring, According To The Media.

In Fact, It Soars Like A Turd In A Thunderstorm!

The Montana Flying Turd Bird Lands
In the Albany DA’s Office

Soares is running for re-election this year. His opponent, fellow Democrat Lee Kindlon, said in a statement this censure is “the tip of an iceberg of recklessness, mismanagement, and bad judgment that will end up costing Albany County taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars.”

Our Little Friend Albany County DA P. David Soares Appears To Have A Pretty Soiled Record When It Comes To His Professional And Private Misconduct. Here Are Just A Few Of The Tidbits Among The Many We Discovered.

Soares Mugshot

The public really needs to be aware of some of the incompetence and misconduct that our chief law enforcement officer in the county has to own up to while the hypocrite is prosecuting others.

Soares’ recently was censured by the courts for his inappropriate remarks about a judge and had to make a groveling apology.  An appeals court says in 2010 Soares made “reckless and misleading” comments about Albany County Judge Stephen Herrick. After Judge Herrick assigned a special prosecutor to Soares’ investigation of steroid distribution in Albany County, Soares issued a press release saying the judge created a “dangerous loophole” for defendants.
Now, a state appeals court says Soares’ comments went too far. Soares said he accepts the court’s decision–That’s damned decent of Soares, isn’t it?– but is looking forward. Forward to What? Hopefully not re-election in Albany county!

This was the third timeSoares has been reprimanded for making statements on pending cases. Censure is a form of public discipline meted out by the courts to punish attorneys,  and this most recent one follows two earlier disciplinary actions that reprimanded  Soares for making “improper and prejudicial public statements regarding pending criminal matters,” the appeals court noted. Soares just can’t keep his fat mouth shut, it seems.

His opponent, fellow Democrat Lee Kindlon, said in a statement this censure is “the tip of an iceberg of recklessness, mismanagement, and bad judgment that will end up costing Albany County taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars.” (Source: News 10 report http://www.news10.com/story/18619027/judicial-censure-for-albany-county-da-david-soares. Saratoga Politics writes “Mr. Kindlon is an impressive fellow. Lee Kindlon is the son of the prominent Albany defense lawyer Terence L. Kindlon as well as a Marine and Iraq war veteran, Kindlon is running against the baggage laden Albany County District Attorney David Soares in a Democratic primary.  (Read Lee Kindlon’s bio at http://www.kindlon.com/lkindlon.html, read position on issues at http://www.leekindlon.com/)

Lee Kindlon
Ex-Marine & Historian

Soares has more enemies than I do, including New York’s immensely popular Governor Andrew Cuomo.

According to Saratoga Politics, “During the Occupy Albany movement, Cuomo had repeatedly requested publicly that the 11 p.m. curfews in both Lafayette Park and Academy Park be enforced. Soares stanchly refused, infuriating not only the governor but many politicians from all over the state. Well known radio host…Fred Dicker went on to blast Soares almost daily.”

Soares has also been criticized for his bizarre prosecution of defendants from Florida for selling steroids to residents of Albany County through the mail. A case that is widely viewed as nothing but a self-serving publicity stunt by Soares.

Soares’ doesn’t seem to acknowledge any boundaries and can’t keep it in his pants even at work: Soares also has acknowledged a longstanding intimate relationship with a junior female staffer whose siblings have been prosecuted on multiple occasions by his office.

And now we have his relationship with NXIVM and Keith Ranier’s favorite gun moll and femme fatale Kristen Keeffe. Now Kindlon is calling on the Attorney General to investigate NXIVM’s (see Secrets of NXIVM) and Kristen Keeffe’s role in trying to set up Joe O’Hara. (The documents are available on the Saratoga Politics site. Visit the Saratoga Politics site for the complete story at http://saratogaindecline.blogspot.com/2012/02/well-i-drove-on-down-to-albany-today-to.html)  This is the story of professional misconduct and mishandling of sealed court documents (see Saratoga Politics at http://saratogaindecline.blogspot.com/2012/02/well-lee-kindlon-followed-his-right.html). And this is the Albany County DA? Come on, this dog’s gotta go and fast!

Get this! Soares’ piece of fluff went on leave of absence and then turns up with a new job (no doubt thanks to her boyfriend in the DA’s office, the DA himself). Soares’s girlfriend lands new county job. The Times Union reports that the staffer who David Soares is boinking gets transfered out of his office in wake of controversy and lands a new county job. (Read the story by Jordan Carleo-Evangelist and Robert Gavin at http://www.timesunion.com/local/article/DA-s-girlfriend-lands-new-county-job-3574940.php#ixzz20zgyjKNS)

In a Times Union report, “Fired DA’s aide gets job back: Albany County official will get back pay after ruling citing jurisdictional issue,” by Robert Gavin appearing on June 1, 2012, we learn that a former top aide to Albany County District Attorney David Soares who was fired in the wake of a scathing county audit has his old job back, a state appeals court announced Thursday.

“In over 130 petty cash audits during the past 121/2 years,” the audit stated, “our office has never encountered the problems with basic bookkeeping, accounting and petty cash account management that the director of administration for the office of the district attorney presents.”

Now that’s comforting. Here the Albany County DA is passing out checks all over the place, including to the Coeymans Police (we all know how that happened, don’t we?), and he’s got auditors crawling all over him and his staff for accounting irregularities! Nice going. Look’s like we have a case of the fox keeping the chickens; this is the guy who’s supposed to be prosecuting the crooks but Guess what! The biggest crook might be the prosecutor himself!

Now the connections are more than obvious and maybe we should demand a state independent audit of the Coeymans Police Department’s handling of cash, especially petty cash. Do you seriously think that they’d come off squeaky clean? If you do, I still have that bridge to sell you!

What’s worse, is that a major player in the RCS crime drama is Thomas E. Dolan, none other than the same Thomas E. Dolan who is the Town of Coeymans Town Board Liaison to the Coeymans Police who have so many cozy connections with our incredible Albany County DA’s office, and who recently received more than $18 grand in a gift check from Soares! Dolan is running for state legislative office–what that means is that the RCS mafia will then have a complete circuit from their next in Ravena-Coeymans to the New York state legislature! That’s gotta be stopped and stopped now! Can you imagine the corruption, intimidation, coercion, retaliation that would materialize when the Coeymanazis have a mole in the state legislature!?! That needs to be investigated and like YESTERDAY!

Are you listening Mr Lee Kindlon?

The secretary with whom DA David Soares has a romantic relationship has transferred out of the district attorney’s office and has been given a new post as a legal secretary in the county’s Department of Human Resources, according to county spokeswoman Mary Rozak, spokesperson for the county, who adds that Stacey Quackenbush’s (Soares’ piece of fluff) new post is a civil service job (does that mean she has to take a testicle…I mean a test?) and pays $37,108.

Caught with his pants down (no pun intended) Soares first insisted this whole situation was no big deal and not really anybody’s business, calling the revelation of the relationship by Albany Citizen One, “clearly a political effort to malign my reputation for the simple reason that my record as Albany County district attorney is one that I am proud of.” Yeah, you’re the county’s chief law enforcement officer, an elected public figure, in charge of prosecuting citizens, held to a higher standard, and your sleezy misconduct is none of our business? Maybe that’s how it works off the coast of Africa, in your native Cape Verde islands, but we have different standards here, Mr Soares! It is our business how you behave, Hypocrite!

Finally, Soares acknowledges his sordid  relationship with the staffer, calls revelation ‘political effort to malign my reputation’ and claims that politics are the reason a report surfaced that he has been romantically involved with an office staffer. But he doesn’t deny the unethical sexual a relationship, and is so arrogant and brazen he says it’s no one’s business. According to Mr Soares, “This issue is a personal issue,” Soares said in a statement on Saturday. “It is not newsworthy and certainly not appropriate for public debate or discussion.” (See the entire piece at http://blog.timesunion.com/localpolitics/10559/soares-acknowledges-relationship-with-staffer-calls-revelation-political-effort-to-malign-my-reputation/). You don’t need any help “maligning your reputation,” Mr Soares, you’re doing just fine on your own. Keep it up (again, no pun intended)!

Speaking of Africa, the African American community in Albany has lost all respect for their once darling David Soares; he received a thrashing at the African American community recently when he defended the Albany Police shooting of a Black teenager, Nah-Cream Moore.

Even African Americans
Are Skeptical of Him

In a report by Bryan Fitzgerald, “Skeptical crowd grills DA: Soares fields questions in police shooting of teen; few like answers,” in the March 30, 2012, Times Union, Soares defended the results of a grand jury review into the police shooting of Nah-Cream Moore, and he faced an often jeering combative crowd — with some people storming out of the South End meeting on that Thursday night. (Read the full report at http://www.timesunion.com/local/article/Skeptical-crowd-grills-DA-3445948.php#ixzz20zjldLI1). Soares got a good ass-kicking from his own people! Is the African American community finally seeing through this self-interested politico?

There’s tons of adverse information on our darling (Oh! Did I almost write Darlington, our own Coeymanazi police chief’s wife, Leah Darlington is Soares’secretary and a familiar name in Ravena-Coeymans, Louis Neri, a former partner of John T. Biscone, is a defender in Soares’ office, and Ravena village justice Harold Warner’s daughter is also employed by Soares’ office; get’s cozier by the minute, doesn’t it?) just try visiting “Three Count Indictment of David Soares”  (http://soarestruthandtips.typepad.com/soarestruth/2012/01/index.html) or “The Goods on David Soares” http://soarestruthandtips.typepad.com/soarestruth/2012/04/the-goods-on-david-soares.html) or even “The Observation Deck-A blog of opinions on local, state and national issues” (Times Union) Category: David Soares (http://blog.timesunion.com/opinion/category/david-soares/)

Here’s another apetizing tidbit on our wonderful DA: “Albany County DA Let Pedophile Cult Borrow His Subpoena Power” by Max Paige-Vieux (March 7, 2012) Paige-Vieux writes, “…the Albany Times Union series on NXIVM—Keith Raniere’s self-empowerment “technology” company—will totally move your eyebrows. Your effing eyebrows will never be the same again. It’s got everything: money, power, Joe Bruno, multilevel-marketing scams, gross kid touching, the heirs to the Seagrams family fortune, Ayn Rand novels, dumb language borrowed from Scientology, lawsuits, the 1980’s arcade game Vanguard, everything.” And continues, “The big political fallout from the story is going to rest squarely on Albany DA David Soares, who is up for reelection soon and whose opponent in the race, Lee Kindlon, is already using the Times Union series as a cudgel against him. The gist is that Soares allowed one of Raniere’s top NXIVM lieutenants, Kristin Keeffe, to use the resources of the district attorney’s office to build a case against a NXIVM whistleblower, Joseph O’Hara. Keeffe (whose name I am spelling correctly, believe it or not) then spent several weeks allegedly abusing the grand jury process, drafting subpoenas, preparing exhibits and then secreting some of this juicy material to NXVIM’s lawyers.” (See the rest at http://newyorkjournal.org/2012/03/albany-county-da-let-pedophile-cult-borrow-his-subpoena-power/)

That’s not all. Capital Tonight reports, “Albany Co. DA Soares Responds to Criticism. The Albany County District Attorney’s office plays a unique role in monitoring state lawmakers. But right now, it’s the current DA who is under fire from his primary opponent over the case against Personal Growth Company NXIVM. District Attorney David Soares says he stands by his handling of that case and the rest of his record. (http://capitaltonightny.ynn.com/2012/02/albany-co-da-soares-responds-to-criticism/).

That’s all just a sampling from the mainstream media. There is some pretty scary stuff out there about Soares but it’s a bit too crazy–we’re not saying it’s untrue, just crazy–and we don’t have the space here to reproduce it. Take our word for it, the guy’s a sleeze and an animal! Just the kind of guy you want supervising law enforcement…and you wonder why we’re stuck with Coeymanazis? Re-elect David Soares and watch it get worse!

Gotcha, Soares!
Get Yer Hands…Pants…Up!

Editor’s Apology: We’d like to apologize for referring to so many reports that appear in the Times Union newspaper (a.k.a. Albany Times Useless). This does not mean that we are endorsing that corrupt rag but it does have some great stuff on Albany County DA, and we haven’t been able to find any false facts in those articles, which appear to be supported by other, independent sources.  Not part of an apology, but you may also want to visit the blog, “Soares Spot” that publishes only information on David Soares in sordid detail  (http://soarestruthandtips.typepad.com/soarestruth/2012/02/index.html).
