Where have all the children gone…The Bruno-Warner Legacy.

Pete Seeger’s 1955 song “Where have all the flowers gone?”
could easily be written for Ravena with the title
“Where have all the children gone?”
(To the Tune of “Where has all the $Money$ Gone?”)

Ravena mayor John Bruno and Ravena village trustee Nancy Warner have done their black magic with the help of village trusteee and RCS social studies teacher, failed politician, Martin “Marty” Case, and village trustee, failed school psychologist, Rocco Persico, backed up by village trustee ding-a-ling dodo William “Bill” Bailey.

Election Day PinkSlip

Make the Change:
Remove Mayor John Bruno and His Mob!

Bruno and Warner wanted the Ravena-Coeymans Youth and Teen Activity Center to disappear and so they sent the message to property owner Robert “Bob” Fisk that they, Bruno and Warner, didn’t want Fisk, also a member of the Ravena incest club (a Persico on his mother’s side), to renew the lease. Josephine “Josie” Biscone-Bruno of Prudential Real Estate* (Marty Case also moonlights there), who brokered the lease with the founder of the RC Teen Center, played her part beautifully and got her commission, while the whole Bruno mob screwed philanthropist Michael Fisher royally.

[* Caution: Where you see a Prudential Real Estate (“Pudendal Real Estate”) sign in Ravena, you can bet that the Ravena Incest Club (Bruno, Biscone, Persico, Albano, Deluca, Warner) is involved. Stay clear!]

So now, the property at 171 Main Street Ravena, once filled with happy teens dancing and staying out of trouble is now just another ugly distressed property on Main Street. Empty, ugly, distressed, just what Ravena Mayor John Bruno and his hatchet woman Nancy Warner wanted. After all, What Bruno and Warner want in Ravena, Bruno and Warner get…and Michael Biscone get paid, everyone else get’s screwed.

But you might want to ask: Where the 100 or so teens have gone, who once filled the Teen Center? You might want to ask Ravena mayor Bruno and his witch-on-a-stick, Nancy Warner, and teacher Marty Case, school psychologist Rocco Persico, and Bill Baily where the kids are and what they’re doing? You might want to ask the Bruno mob what they’ve done to provide the teens with a place to go, be safe, out of trouble, off the streets? Don’t bother. You already know the answer: NOTHING!

So the Village of Ravena New Year 2014 Greeting
To all Ravena Coeymans Selkirk Youth and Teens is this:

RCTC narrow

171 Main Street, Ravena: The John Bruno Nancy Warner, Marty Case, Rocco Persico, Bill Bailey legacy: Empty, Ugly, Distressed!
They’d rather have the local youth and teens on the street than enjoying themselves in a safe, supervised environment.
Thank You! Mayor Bruno and Village of Ravena! Happy New Year!
(Hopefully your Last)

John T. Bruno apparently plans to die in office. He’s decided to run again for mayor of Ravena in 2014. He’s already made Ravena a wasteland, lies like a rug, when the shit hits the fan his stock response is “I ddn’t know”, and surrounds himself with a bunch of dildos who are Bruno-extensions. Ravena, the town of Coeymans doesn’t need a senile mummy to trip up anything positive in Ravena. Bruno is there because the crooks want him there. He’s there because the behind-the-scenes crooks can steal everything worth stealing in Ravena by going through Bruno’s corrupt village hall. Mayor John Bruno and convicted state senator Joe Bruno have a lot in common; they both like to take control and they’re both frauds.

Bruno’s got a reputation of being a pathological liar and a behind-closed-doors dealmaker. Take the Ravena Health and Fitness Center for an example. The most recent Bruno fiasco is the CSX takeover! Can you imagine the mayor of a village claiming he didn’t know what was happening when CSX started cutting down residents’ trees and invading Ravena neighborhoods? John T. Bruno thinks everyone is as stupid as the village employees he hands out village jobs to, in order to get votes. Let’s hope the next mayor cleans up village hall!

Get the Brunos, Biscones, Persicos, Warners, Delucas out of local government and jump-start progress in the village of Ravena!

Our 2014 New Year’s Wish for the Village of Ravena: Clean, Honest, Local Government.
(But you won’t have it with Bruno and his mob in village Hall!)

Top Secret: Two Coeyman Cops, Idiots, Really, Suspended

Two Coeymans Police Officers Send Sheriff’s Deputy on A Wild-Goose Chase, Get Suspended

Coeymans Police Department/Albany County Sheriff Keep Public in Dark

Somebody in Town Hall: Turn on the Lights!!!

Somebody in Town Hall:
Turn on the Lights!!!

Seems security isn’t a big thing with former Coeymans Police Department Lieutenant Kerry Thompson, now Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple’s “assistant chief deputy,” after he had been recalled apparently following the incident where Coeymans police officers Danielle Crosier and Peter McKenna got into some mischief on Thompson’s Sheriff’s Department laptop, which Thompson stupidly neglected to secure.

Apparently, the Coeymans police department has so little to do when they’re not executing illegal search warrants issued by short-order-cook town justices or worse, and the cops have so little supervision when they have nothing to do while collecting your taxpayer dollars, that they have to perpetrate criminal activity themselves. So, the allegations go, ex-Coeymans ” deputy chief” and current chief of Coeymans police, Gregory Darlington’s brother-in-law, Kerry Thompson leaves his laptop unsecured and Danielle Crosier and Peter McKenna get the bright idea to play a little joke on the Albany County Sheriff’s Department. They log on Thompson’s laptop that is equipped with C.A.D. or Computer Aided Dispatch, a system you’ll find in most police cruisers these days (see below for more information), and from Thompson’s computer, dispatched an Albany County Deputy on a wild-goose chase. That’s not only ultra-childish, stupid, it’s also a crime even if two idiotic Coeymans cops do it!

Coeymans Police Officers Danielle Crosier and Peter McKenna Dispatched a Sheriff’s Deputy on a Wild-Goose Chase: Big Joke!

Darlington

Darlington

So, why didn’t we hear about this before? Well, we all know that Coeymans police chief Gregory Darlington gets away with murder and so do his faves in the department. Why do you think DoDo Darlington put Kerry Thompson, his brother-in-law, on the payroll as his “administrative assistant” for more than $31.00/hr while Thompson was already full-time in the Albany County Sheriff’s Department. Why did Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple allow this, anyway? We also know that Darlington’s wife works in the Albany County D.A.’s office. We also know that the Darlington-Boehm-Rogers-Dolan plan by funning (or running) Michelle Maddage to be Coeymans town clerk was to get Darlington’s wife a part-time job in the Clerk’s office. But voters put a stop to that plan. We also know that Darlington’s plan is to leave the Coeymans police department and join up with his wife in Albany County District Attorney David Soares’ office. Don’t you see the corruption piling up here?

Darlington has been bad news for Coeymans since the sick decision was made to put him in the chief’s office. Once there, he managed to f-up all of former professional chief Scott Giroux’s clean-up and sanitation work in the Coeymans p.d. One of the first stupid moves Darlington did was to re-hire two duds Giroux had fired: Dirty-Hands Jerry Deluca and Todd Polverelli. (The facts also indicate that Deluca and Polverelli were hired illegally, not in compliance with civil service law. Same applies to Danielle Crosier. How and why was she selected to be the RCS CSD police presence in the high-school? We’d like a statement on that information.) It went downhill from there.

Backward and Downhill

Backward and Downhill

Back to the playful duo Crosier and McKenna. Well, when the perps were found out, Thompson suspended both Crosier and McKenna. But get this: Crosier got only a week’s suspension, while McKenna got a month! Why the discrepancy? You might well ask. Seems the rumor is that Thompson and Crosier had a little thing. So that must have played into Mr Thompson’s real professional and objective evaluation of the seriousness of the crime. But why no criminal charges? Just suspension? With pay? Are the Coeymans police above the law?

Or have we so quickly forgotten just a couple of special treatment cases, like:

  • woman pointing fingerKerry Thompson’s son’s theft and vandalism of campaign signs. Disappeared!
  • How about Kerry Thompson’s other delinquent son (is he the dispatcher at the Coeymans p.d.?) who took down mailboxes while speeding; never charged. Disappeared!
  • Kerry Thompson’s refusal to take a harassment complaint by a local woman (but taking the complaint of the same harasser against a local official and prosecuting it!)
  • Dawn Roger’s daughter’s multiple DUI’s.  Disappeared!
  • Tom Dolan’s son’s drug-related incidents. Disappeared!
  • Harassment charges against Dirty-Hands Jerry Deluca and Matt Miller. Disappeared!
  • Obstruction of justice charges against DoDo cop Gregory Darlington. Disappeared!
  • Investigations against Cathy Deluca for falsely filing a report. Disappeared!
  • Failure to investigate/obstruction of  justice by Dirty Hands Jerry Deluca  felony charges (Scott Lendin). Disappearied!
  • And many others, still DISAPPEARING
Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple Gets an Egg Facial Courtesy of Darlington, Thompson, Crosier & McKenna

Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple Gets an Egg Facial Courtesy of Darlington, Thompson, Crosier & McKenna

You might also ask where Thompson’s bosses, Apple and Darlington, were when all of this was going on? Well, Darlington probably had his head up his arse as usual, monitoring what’s going on in the town clerk’s office upstairs—or, more likely, he was collecting his paycheck while playing Mr Mom at home. Craig Apple, Albany County Sheriff, was probably trying like hell to figure out how to get Thompson out of the Coeymans police department without coming off with egg all over his face.

So, Thompson’s embarrassed as hell by Crosier and McKenna. Two Coeymans police make asses of themselves, commit a serious crime, and get suspended (McKenna, it seems, just can’t seem to stay out of police trouble. He got fired from the Albany Police only to be hired by that jackass Darlington!). Darlington’s on another planet, as usual. Dirty-Hands Jerry Deluca’s off to the side with psycho-cop Ryan Johnson sniggering. This is the Return of the Living Brain-Dead to Coeymans!

OK, Craig & Bill, Come Clean: Are these facts true?

OK, Craig & Bill, Come Clean:
Are these facts true?
Do you think if we citizens or the media call them we’d get the truth?

So what does Craig Apple, Albany County Sheriff, do? Well, he doesn’t waste any time in setting up a plan to get Thompson out of Coeymans real quick. He “promotes” Thompson to a desk job as “assistant chief deputy” in an elaborate dog-and-pony-act at taxpayer expense, so that it looks like he needs Thompson back in the Sheriff’s department to fill this “important” desk job. We reported on this silly smoke-and-mirrors act in our article (click on this link to read it), Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple: Has the Apple Gone Rotten? The whole thing was so obvious only the mind of a law enforcement person would be dull enough to think the public would swallow that rancid oyster.

After that, Kerry Thompson resigns from his position with brother-in-law Darlington and moves back home to the Albany County Sheriff’s Department so that Apple can keep closer tabs on him and keep him out of trouble. It’s absolutely scandalous, incredible that all of this is being paid for by taxpayer dollars!

Why are we kept in the dark?!?

Why are we kept in the dark?!?

This was all discussed, apparently, in a closed-door executive session by the Coeymans town board and kept real hush-hush because it was just before the elections and just before the big Böhm-Darlington-Thompson special press conference on Coeymans’ phony drug busts and the fabricated drug problem. That failed, too, and Boehm and Rogers lost their town board seats. Puts Darlington and the Coeymans police department in a real scary place right now, because Tom Boehm, Tom Dolan  and Dawn Rogers were the only thing separating Darlington and his criminals in uniform from the door and the street! Come January there should be some major changes happening. But the public was unfairly kept in the dark while Darlington, Boehm, Dolan and Rogers were promoting psycho-cop to sergeant, and giving that lunatic a pay raise. Criminals at play, it seems.

Our questions: Why are Crosier and McKenna still in uniform? Why are they still on the payroll of the Coeymans police department? If these facts are true and they did illegally access Thompson’s laptop and did actually send a Sheriff’s deputy on a wild-goose chase, why weren’t criminal charges pressed and a public investigation launched? What right does the Coeymans town board and the Coeymans police department have to keep the public, the taxpaying public in the dark? Why does the generally law-abiding, hard-working, honest resident and taxpayer have to pay for these dregs and then be subject to their abuse, too? Where was the media when all of this was happening? Where is the media NOW?

What right does the Coeymans town board and the Coeymans police department have to keep the public, the taxpaying public in the dark?

What is C.A.D.?

police computer

Computer-aided dispatch, or CAD, is a system used by police and other emergency response dispatchers to log, track and assign calls for service. Once performed with a notebook or laptop  computer, a punch-card and a file cabinet, CAD systems allow duty officers and law enforcement officers to check on for service, respond to calls, input call data and access call history almost instantly. This allows officers to get much-needed information faster and reduces radio traffic. It also allows police supervisors to better monitor their subordinates and manage the work load of the shift.

The CAD is also the system that stores reports, notes and basic information after a call for service is completed.

The Mobile Digital Computer or MDC / Mobile Digital Terminal is the computer program that allows dispatchers and law enforcement officers to communicate between each other in “real-time”.

Basically, dispatch receives a 911/non emergency call requiring Police response. The dispatcher generates a “CAD card/event/case number” and types the information related to the call into their computer. Dispatch “sends” the “call” to the responding Officers “MDC”. The Officer reads the “call card” hits a “key” to show “en route” and then “on scene.” After handling the “call”, the Officer enters whatever pertinent information (could be a two sentence disposition or a full report) and sends the completed “CAD” entry to the main “database”.

Thats the only way we know to explain it, however the system allows MUCH more than just receiving calls, etc, it is also used to “run” registrations, licenses, warrants checks and numerous other LE related “applications”.

The actual “acronym” for different agencies will differ also. We have only heard of the systems being called “CAD”, “MDC (Mobile Digital Computer)” and “MDT (Mobile Data Terminal)”, but we imagine they all work very similarly.

It’s obvious that these systems can be abused by the simple-minded and by criminally minded law enforcement personnel who have other agendas and are willing to break the law and the rules of confidentiality to obtain privileged information. (Right Jerry Deluca?).

Of course, we’d like very much to hear back from anyone in the Coeymans Police Department or the Albany County Sheriff’s Department, or the Coeymans town board with a statement or an explanation for the facts reported here. We would really like to know if any of the facts need to be corrected to represent the truth. Unless someone from the Coeymans P.D., the Albany County Sheriff’s Department or the Town of Coeymans comes forward with a denial or a correction or even an explanation, we’ll have to presume these allegations all to be true.

The Poll is Still Going Strong!

Get Rid of Bruno, Coeymans P.D.!!! Poll Responses Overwhelming!

Get Rid of Bruno, Coeymans P.D.!!!
Poll Responses Overwhelming!

Now, in its 3rd week, we’ve almost doubled the responses from our last report: We’ve gone from 278 responses to 517 responses. To put this in some perspective, about 1900 Coeymans residents voted in the last elections on November 5th, 2013. Our 517 responses represent 27% of the entire number of votes in the last town of Coeymans general elections. That’s an incredibly good response and certainly represents a reliable trend among local residents.

That figure gets even larger when we consider that many of the people who voted on November 5th don’t even use computers. Furthermore, even if they are computer users and follow this blog, most are passive readers; this means they visit, read and leave, some occasionally leave a comment, but not much else. So the 517 responses we have received a people in the town of Coeymans who feel very strongly about what they’re voting on.

But in all honesty, we have to consider that some responses may come from people outside the area who have an opinion on what is going on in the town of Coeymans and the surrounding area. Perhaps they live in the town of Bethlehem but their children attend RCS schools or they have friends in the RCS area. Some responses may come from the the Town of New Baltimore, but New Baltimore has less than half the population of the town of Coeymans and less than ¼ of the responses come from the town of New Baltimore. It’s also unlikely that someone living in New Baltimore would respond to a question about Ravena but even if they did, it’s still a good indicator of what people think of the village of Ravena and the town of Coeymans. So take if for what it’s worth.

The Analysis

Numbers Don't Lie

Numbers Don’t Lie, Bruno Does

First of all, 100% of respondents say that they answered the poll questions honestly and seriously. That’s good.

This blog continues to get very high marks with 87% of respondents saying they get more information from this blog than from the media. 85% feel that this blog is an important community resource. 77.5% of respondents rely on this blog for truthful information about the community. and 65% say they would gladly do business with a business that supports this blog. Needless to say, we’re very happy with these figures. Still, 17.5% feel that this blog is useless.

According to the responses received regarding Ravena mayor John Bruno and his flying monkeys, Nancy Warner, Martin Case (lost his bid in November for the town of Coeymans supervisor position), Rocco Persico, and Bill Bailey their time is getting really short. 65%  want no more Bruno, Warner, Persico, Case or Bailey in Ravena. 52% want to send mayor Bruno to Alaska, and only 7.5% think tht mayor Bruno is doing a good job. Byebye Bruno!

Flying-Monkey-We expect that after the recent revelations of the Bruno-CSX betrayal of Ravena residents, especially those on Magnolia Drive, that Bruno’s and his flying monkey’s ratings have plummeted even further. Especially after that comedy of a village council meeting and Bruno’s unabashed lies and the village trustee’s absolute ignorance. Yes, people, that’s an embarrassing bunch!

As for the town of Coeymans Police 80.0% of respondents say that the Albany County Sheriff and the New York State Police should provide law enforcement in the town of Coeymans. A whopping 75% of respondents want to eliminate the town of Coeymans police department.

70% of respondents want the police presence out of our RCS schools. Only 17.5% want to keep the police in our schools. What do you think? Take the poll.

We expect these Coeymans police department figures with skyrocket when we publish the story about how Mrs Darlington pushes out a pup and then goes back to work at Albany County DA Soares’ pigpen, while Coeymans police chief Gregory Darlington stays home and babysits his new pup. Yes, Coeymans has a police chief is a stay-at-home mom but he’s doing it on taxpayer dollars. Question: Is he taking personal time, vacation time, sick leave to stay home? Likely not.

We have a story in the making that reports how two Coeymans police department employees got hold of Kerry Thompson’s official laptop (it was allegedly left unsecured in Thompson’s unlocked vehicle) and the perps sent an Albany County Sheriff’s deputy on a wild-goose chase. Craig Apple, Albany County Sheriff, almost immediately removed Thompson from the Coeymans p.d. and gave him an assignment at the Albany County Sheriff’s department, a desk job, a sort of demotion-promotion. The two Coeymans police officers, Danielle Crosier and Peter McKenna got temporary suspensions—Crosier got a week and McKenna got a month— they should have been fired. It was all discussed in “executive session,” that is, behind closed doors but our informant has the details and you will, too, very soon. What do you think of law enforcement officers involved in such stupidity?

87.5% of respondents say that no decisions should be made by the town boards until the new town boards take over. This is still very high but down 8.9% from the last tally. At this point in time, the lame ducks on the boards probably won’t get anything pushed through anyway. But any raises and promotions passed should be critically reviewed by the new boards in January.

Then we have Cathy Deluca’s payoff playpen, you know the one that mayor Bruno and his flying monkeys allocated more than $100,000 of Ravena tax dollars to support while Bruno and Warner were evicting the RCS Community Library, and working so hard to destroy the Ravena-Coeymans Youth and Teen Activity Center? Well 67% of respondents still consider the Ravena Health and Fitness Center to be “an illegal joke!”  And 0% still say that they or a famly member use the RHFC! How’s that for wise decision-making as far as your tax dollars are concerned, Ravena residents? Cathy Deluca probably loves the idea but she’s cashing in at the rate of $30,000 a year in salary plus very generous benefits. This is all happening while more and more buildings are going empty and CSX is cutting down residents’ trees for a second rail line nobody but Bruno and CSX knew about. You GO! Ravena!

Nancy Warner Sends Season's Greetings from Mayor Bruno Those aren't Christmas trees in the background!

Nancy Warner Sends Season’s Greetings from Mayor Bruno
Those aren’t Christmas trees in the background!

Speaking of the Ravena-Coeymans Youth and Teen Activity Center readers may have noticed that that building is now what is politely called “distressed property,” that is, mayor Bruno and Ravena village trustee Nancy Warner have succeeded not only in depriving local youth of a place to go for supervised and safe entertainment but they now have another empty building on Main Street, Brunoville. It’s big, ugly and empty. Congratulations! Mayor John Bruno and Nancy Warner, Marty Case and Bill Bailey, Rocco Persico! You’ve done it again! Killed something good and put another empty storefront on Main Street, Ravena.

hatchet figureRespondents, however, feel differently and it’s not good for the Bruno crowd: 70% of respondents vote to save the Ravena-Coeymans Youth and Teen Activity Center. The figures are very encouraging but unfortunately Bruno and Warner did their dirty work: the Teen Center is gone and the kids are still here, bait for the Coeymanazi police department, nowhere to go, nothing to do. All this happened while two RCS Central School District employees, Marty Case, a teacher, and Rocco Persico, a school psychologist, sit on the village of Ravena village council! A teacher and a school psychologist, sucking up school district money, figures who should have the best interests of the kids at heart and they support two mummies, Bruno and Warner, in killing the Teen Center and dumping the kids. No wonder Ravena is a dump, a ghost town, a cemetery! The didn’t allocate a single cent in support of the Youth Center but had more than $100,000 for a fitness center no one seems to want (except for Cathy Deluca and the Bruno-Warner pair).

The increasing numbers of responses give us a more reliable idea of what the Ravena-Coeymans community is thinking. The fact that respondents take the time to actually answer the question about “honestly and seriously” clearly shows that they feel it’s important to know that fact. This also means that if they are being honest and serious, they’re likely answering only those questions that apply to them. This, again, speaks in favor of the reliability of the figures.

It’s interesting that the respondents were in the early days of the poll most emotional on issues like the Coeymans p.d. and the Bruno regime when the respondent numbers were low but the percentages were high. Now we have more responses and the percentages are leveling out more. This would indicate that people with really strong feelings against these issues came out first and then more moderate readers reacted, and finally, the minority needed to go on the defense and start countering the overwhelming responses against the Coeymans p.d. and the Bruno regime. Even so, the percentages against the Coeymans p.d. and the Bruno regime continue to be overwhelmingly high and appear to want to hover there.

We have one week to go before we close down the poll and present the final figures. We urge our town of Coeymans and New Baltimore residents to participate and to vote so that your neighbors know how you feel. This is information that Coeymans and Ravena residents won’t be getting anywhere else and it’s important in view of recent developments and historic changes that have taken place in recent months.

New Baltimore Fire District Elections

Poll Results:
New Baltimore Fire District 1 Unanimously Elects (86-0)
Jeff Deso to be Fire Commissioner
Congratulations, Jeff!

firelogo

Just a reminder that your New Baltimore Fire District Commissioner elections are tomorrow night, Tuesday, Dec. 10th.  We understand that both Medway and Dist. No. 1 are both open 6pm to 9pm. You must be a registered voter in the appropriate district to cast a ballot.

It is rumored that there may be a write-in campaign in Fire District No. 1 (Cornell Hook & Ladder) to replace Jeff Deso. This may be due to lame-duck supervisor Susan O’Rorke blaming the fire company, in part, for her defeat in the November 5th elections. It may be completely untrue, backlash and revenge are part of the losers’ script. Jeff Deso is the chairman of the board and does a fantastic job for New Baltimore residents and taxpayers. Normal election attendance is about 10-12 voters total. The Lewis-O’Rorke-Benway-Norris agenda has never really had the New Baltimore community high on their priorities. We want to avoid the situation where their type of retaliation counteracts the common good. Please come out and support Jeff Deso for re-election if you are in fire district 1. A similar request has gone out to fire company members as well. Thanks for the support!

New Baltimore Town Board to Be Roasted!

New Baltimore Town Hall on Monday, December 9, at 7:00 p.m.

Don’t Miss the Roasting of the O’Rorke Town of New Baltimore Town Board.

What's that you said, Suz?

What’s that you said, Suz?

Special Menu Items Will include Chris Norris and Lisa Benway Crispy Critters in a Brown Sauce!

Lame-duck, defeated New Baltimore Supervisor Susan O’Rorke and two town board lackies, Chris Norris and Lisa Benway, will explain their personal recipes for roast pork. You know, the ones Denis Jordan and selected vendors have learned to enjoy these past years. Susan O’Rorke will try to squirm out of her putrid corner to explain why she and lackies Chris Norris and Lisa Benway approved so many illegal and unlawful expenditures of New Baltimore taxpayers’ money. David Wukitsch, New Baltimore town attorney will be available to explain why the residents of New Baltimore should not petition the Committee on Professional Standards to suspend his license to practice law or at lease sanction and censure him for legal malpractice while advising the O’Rorke monkeys.

Not Any More!!! Be at the New Baltimore Town Hall and Find Out What Happened to the Bacon!

Not Any More!!!
Be at the New Baltimore Town Hall and Find Out What Happened to the Bacon!

The New York State Comptroller’s auditors found some very serious misuse of taxpayer money and some very suspicious purchasing practices made by the Susan O’Rorke/Chris Norris/Lisa Benway trio. Denis Jordan, an elected town official and town highway superintendent was at the center of most of the abuse of public office. So what do O’Rorke, Norris, Benway do with New Baltimore taxpayer money? They give Jordan a raise!

Concerned residents and taxpayers of New Baltimore intend to show up at the December 9, 2013, New Baltimore Town Board meeting to demand that O’Rorke, Norris, and Benway explain their mismanagement and violation of town policies and New York State Law. They will have to explain why criminal charges should not be brought against them.

Mr Jordan will have to explain why he got the raise and why he was involved in so many illegal purchases. We already know from Jordan’s, Benway’s and Norris’ own statements put out in a recent campaign letter supporting O’Rorke that Jordan and O’Rorke are very close. So they’re so close they, O’Rorke, Norris, and Benway vote to give their friend Jordan a pay raise. Nice!

And where was New Baltimore town attorney David Wukitsch when all of this illegal crapola was going on? He’s being paid by New Baltimore taxpayers to keep things legal. Davey was sitting on his muffin giving illegal advice for unlawful practices. We think New Baltimore taxpayers should demand that the State of New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department, Committee on Professional Standards review David Wukisch’s conduct in his role as New Baltimore town attorney and recommend that he be suspended or at least sanctioned and censured for his legal malpractice!

In the meantime, the only right thing for Denis Jordan to do is to refuse the pay raise and let the new New Baltimore Town Board vote on it. If the new New Baltimore town board thinks he deserves a raise after careful consideration of his past performance and record, we’ll stand by them. But in the meantime, Jordan should not be handed a raise for kissing O’Rorke’s ass at New Baltimore taxpayers’ expense.

New York Governor Mario Cuomo and his Attorney General Eric Schneiderman are so hot and bothered by public corruption, let’s see what they do about radical local government corruption like we have in New Baltimore and in the town of Coeymans! Do their wars on corruption in public office  target only their political opponents and the other party, are their threats and campaigns just smoke-and-mirrors, dogs-and-ponies? We’ll see. They’ll see when they get the numbers from the voting booths!

In the meantime, we citizens have to ensure that the crooks and the corrupt in public office get what they deserve, and lose what they don’t deserve.

Local Resident and Business Owner Calls for New Baltimore Residents to Attend December 9 New Baltimore Town Board Meeting and STOP the Eleventh-Hour Favors Being Paid by ex-Supervisor O’Rorke and her Psycho-Cronies Lisa Benway and Chris Norris!
Here’s the full-text, unedited version of the resident’s letter.*

 Letter to the Editor

December 4, 2013

My fellow taxpayers, please note that the next Town Board Meeting for the Town of New Baltimore is scheduled for December 9, 2013.

The purpose of this letter is to provide every member of our community with information regarding the performance of our current elected officials, based on the following official documentation:

  •  Office of the State Comptroller (OSC) Audit of the Town of New Baltimore’s Procurement Practices – Released 11/15/13 (10 days after the election),
  • Town Board meetings, and
  •  Recent election literature

Based on the facts provided for your review the “leadership” has not acted responsibly, especially when it involves fiscal accountability.   As you read this letter please keep in mind that the expenditures in question ($530,634/$135,377) in the Office of the State Comptroller (OSC) Audit are approximately one third of our Town’s budget ($l.6M).

Page 3 of the Comptroller’s Audit states:

Fact:  “The Supervisor, who serves as the Town’s chief executive and chief fiscal officer, is responsible for implementing Board policy and overseeing the financial management of the Town’s moneys.  As chief fiscal officer, the Supervisor is responsible for overseeing most of the Town’s financial duties. The Town’s Highway Superintendent is an elected official and is responsible for overseeing highway operations.

Page 8 of the Comptroller’s Audit states:

Fact:  Additionally, prior Board approval was required, but was not documented, for individual and aggregate purchases totaling $135,377 of our sample of $165,455. Town officials said the approvals were given in committee meetings. The Supervisor [O’Rorke] and Deputy Supervisor [Norris] told us that they meet regularly in committee meetings with the Highway Superintendent [Jordan] to discuss planned Highway Department purchases, but do not ask for or receive copies of quotes.”  [bracketed names added]

 The Comptroller’s Audit continues:

Fact:  “By not enforcing Town procurement policy, requiring evidence of  compliance with guidelines of OGS and county purchasing contracts, and ensuring that written quotations or prior Board approvals were obtained when required, the Board cannot be certain purchases are made at the lowest cost and without favoritism.”

Fact:  Based on the Comptroller’s Audit: In just a 14 month period – l/0l/12-3/0l/13 – the Town Highway Superintendent made purchases of $530,634 which were not in compliance with General Municipal Law.

Claim:  “A Great Team for New Baltimore” was the title of an October 31, 2013 Letter to the Editor in support of the Democrat slate of candidates for the 11/05/13 General Election.  The slate was led by then Town Supervisor – Susan O’Rorke.  [Editor’s Note: O’Rorke was voted out, defeated in the November 2013 elections.]

Claim:  The letter states about Ms. O’Rorke:  “She has promoted open and transparent government together with a bipartisan spirit with her colleagues on the town board. Susan has a great working relationship with Highway Superintendent Jordan and they will continue this relationship to improve our roads. Susan deserves your wholehearted support.

Claim:  The letter ends with the statement:  “We believe that these candidates for public office will provide the commitment, experience and leadership that is needed to represent you and will put the needs of the community first. They will work hard for the good people of New Baltimore and will be fully engaged to continue to build our towns bright future.  We ask that you support and vote for these candidates on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

Fact:  The above letter was signed by elected town officials:  Highway Superintendent-Denis Jordan, Councilwoman-Lisa Benway & Deputy Supervisor-Christopher Norris.

Fact:  Wait, it doesn’t end there!  Knowing full-well the original content of the Comptroller’s audit, the same  three  officials  (who signed the October letter  and approved spending) were the only votes in favor of a 2014 raise for the Highway Superintendent [Jordan] at the November 11, 2013 Final Budget meeting.

In a The Daily Mail article dated November 19, 2013 entitled:  State audit takes issue with purchasing, bidding policies the article states:

In a telephone interview on Monday, O’Rorke said, Now that the report is public and finalized we will discuss it at the December board meeting.”

After reviewing these documents I thought that if our elected officials owned a private business the company would be bankrupt!  However, with the authority to raise taxes and/or borrow money from other accounts, we taxpayers are now paying for their lack of leadership and frivolous spending.

All too often within our community people talk about the deterioration of our society – each of us have a responsibility, as well as the opportunity, as members of our community to initiate change.

Let’s start in our town at the next Town Board Meeting on December 9, 2013.

What do you  think  these elected officials should do now?
You be the judge!

God Bless our community and best wishes to all for a healthy and prosperous holiday season,

Sincerely,
AnnMarie Vadney
Town of New Baltimore

We agree with the author of the letter: New Baltimore residents need to show up at the New Baltimore town board meeting on December 9, 2013—and we don’t mean only the O’Rorke loudmouths and the Ross-Angelis backstabbers—we mean the real residents, not the sockpuppets who take orders, residents who vote and care about the New Baltimore community and want to see it return to its roots of good, civil, caring neighbors! Take a good look at what we have become and you’ll know what we’re talking about. There’s change, BIG CHANGE in the air, and it’s change for the better.

We almost split a gut when we read the quote above that “Susan has a great working relationship with Highway Superintendent Jordan.” O’Rorke sure does! O’Rorke and her two buddies, Lisa Benway and Chris Norris, just gave Jordan a pay raise! If anyone has seen the state of the roads in the so-called National Histori District part of the Hamlet of New Baltimore, you’d think they’d have docked his pay or fired Jordan! But NO! They have to take care of their pets so they give him a raise!

We think it’s time to demand some resignations: Starting with Denis Jordan, Christopher “Chris” Norris, and Lisa Benway. They’ve all been abusing public office for far too long and have caused this town of New Baltimore enough embarrassment and illegally spent too much of your tax money already. They need to go, too! You got rid of the Dictator-in-Chief, Susan O’Rorke, now go get her flying monkeys Jordan, Norris, and Benway! Clean house for REAL! You got rid of the major cockroach but if you leave the others, you’ve still got roaches in New Baltimore Town Hall!

Got Roaches in Town Hall? You Have to Get them All Out!

Got Roaches in Town Hall?
You Have to Get them All Out!

 * We are informed that The Daily Mail is to publish this letter-to-the-editor. The author of the L2E was contacted by Mr Jim Plank of The Daily Mail who was preparing the letter for publication. Are the Johnson Newspaper Corporation and Mr John J. Johnson and the Hudson-Catskill Newspapers group, Mr Mark Vinciguerra, finally getting a conscience and a set of balls to match? We’ll see. Perhaps they’re finally realizing they’re on the losing side in Coeymans and Greene County.
