Are the New Baltimore Democrats Electable? No. Absolutely Not!

It’s just about a month until election day, and there’s some very serious thinking to be done.

This November 7th voters in New Baltimore will be confronting a critical dilemma; in other words, they will be between a rock and a hard place. If Town Hall is to change β€” and it must β€” new blood must be infused into the tired old body. But the only new blood is in female bodies, so if there is to be any change, it will be a change with very questionable consequences.[1]

Even the most averse and cantankerous of our readers have to admit that we manage pretty well to stay away from party politics, keeping our comments focused on what is being done by whom, how, and why. We also are pretty fair and balanced when it comes to gender and identity politics, and we keep our social justice discussions away from highly emotional topics that usually breed conspiracy theories. As a rule, we call a spade a spade and shoot from the hip β€” with deadly accuracy.

Stop the phony flag-waving and deceitful tongue-wagging for a moment,
and let the facts do the talking for once.

We recently asked the two Democratic candidates, Janet Kash and Debra Sottolano, and the one renegade β€œRepublican” write-in, Denise Taber, to provide their statements on why they should be elected. They responded that we should be more “specific” with our questions β€” we thought the question was pretty clear β€”, so, to accommodate them, we put together four β€˜specific’ questions that we thought were important and, we feel, were not being answered by the candidates in their canned bios and campaign rhetoric. We sent the questions to the Democratic candidates and to the Republican incumbents: Boehlke, Irving, and Ruso through the Town Clerk, since both incumbents Boehlke and Irving do not have published email contacts for the public. Why would that be, you’d wonder?

We wrote[2]:

So, let us be “specific:” Give us not more than three sentences for each of the following questions, telling our readers:

  1. What motivates you to run for office, that is, what you see you are called to do in this community and why?
  2. What are the unique problems YOU have identified that need fixing in this community. Not generalized statements like “good roads,” or more “accountability,” or “better response times.” Be very specific.
  3. How you feel you are qualified to makeΒ thatΒ happen better than the people you are running against.
  4. What you have done in the past that shows you can produce these results on the Town Board.

The Democrats’ and the β€œregistered Republican” write-in’s response was disappointing: The Democratic candidates, the RINO[3] write-in, and the incumbent Republicans, Boehlke and Irving, refused to answer our questions. The Dems sent their canned public campaign bios, instead. Boehlke and Irving did what they do best and said nothing. (We published our analysis of Democratic candidates Janet Kash’s and Debra Sottolano’s campaign biographies in our articles, β€œElections 2023: Focus on Janet Kennedy-Kash” and β€œElections 2023: Focus on Debra Sottolano”. They weren’t too happy with what we wrote.) Their public bios are useless word salad,[4] and tell us nothing about their qualifications for local government. If that’s their idea of responding to the public and of transparency and accountability, what can we expect from them as elected officials?

Boehlke’s, Irving’s, and Ruso’s refusal to respond is characteristic of their attitude towards public inquiry: make believe the public is invisible and maybe they’ll go away. Sorry, guys. Not gonna happen. [Editor’s Note: On the day after the submittal deadline and the day before publication, we followed up with the Town for Boehlke’s, Irving’s, and Ruso’s statements, but the Town did not respond.]

Campaigns Should Run on Real Issues, Not Dead Ones

Furthermore, the rift between Alan VanWormer, incumbent Town Highway superintendent is well known. VanWormer is running for re-election to be Highway Superintendent, and he is running again unopposed for that office. The Democrats are conspicuously cuddling up to VanWormer and the Highway Department, apparently hoping to cash in on VanWormer’s popularity, and using a Democratic Facebook nest, Whats Up in New Baltimore NY, to take their shots at Town Hall.[5] The Whats Up site is home to the Democratic candidates, where they publish their campaign statements. The problem is that Whats Up in New Baltimore, a private Facebook page, whose owner and moderator, Melissa Ashby (Old State Rd, Ravena), uses censorship and blocking to silence inconvenient opinion. (See the SMB article: Beware of Censored “Community Information” on Facebook.”) That means the Dems are playing to a very limited audience. Is that how they want to β€œget the word out?” Is that how they do their β€œlistening?”

The Democratic candidates are beating a dead horse by continuing to use fair wages and benefits and support of VanWormer’s crusade as their campaign drumbeat β€” their hopes are that by supporting VanWormer, they’ll capture all of VanWormer’s friends, supporters, and followers, and bring them over to their side. It’s a cheap play but they don’t appear to be averse to it. The issue of the Highway Department’s battle for a collective bargaining agreement is history, however. The Highway Department has their union contract guaranteeing the employees of the Highway Department a fair wage and benefits. They have that contract now and they’re happy. It’s no longer an issue, but the Democratic candidates are still trying to use it as a wedge. They don’t seem to get it: the Highway Department unionization is a done deal; Read my lips: It’s no longer an issue, so let’s move on, people! If that’s the way you’re going to campaign, I’m very concerned how you will run the Town, if elected!

Our advice: Bury the dead issues and pick up on some really current issues that are weighing heavily on the hearts and minds of New Baltimore residents. The Democratic candidates don’t seem to be able to manage that, it seems. Nor do they seem to want to talk about it if they are interested in the issues.

If the Democratic Candidates are Elected, will the Town Board be a Toxic Mix?

All said and done, we like good up-front organization, fairness, accountability, and transparency in local government, and integrity and honesty in our elected officials. To achieve these goals there has to be a good mix in terms of background, experience, ideologies, and of course, gender. To be honest, we don’t see that happening now, and we don’t foresee it happening in the near future, certainly not after the 2023 elections.

Metaphorically and figuratively, men are indeed from Mars and women from Venus;[6] we often have to point out that some of our elected officials are actually from Uranus, or someone’s, but that’s another discussion.

We are not into system blame, victimhood, coalitional ideology, or PC (political control) or thought police: if it’s got feathers, walks on two legs, and quacks, it’s either from Coeymans or is a duck. It’s that simple.

If They Don’t Have Qualifications, They Can’t Discuss Them

And the Democratic candidates fail on both the qualification point and the discussion point. In contrast, we’ve been able to observe the incumbent Republicans’ performance on the Board for several years now.

The fact remains, though, that like many of our friends and neighbors in local communities, we are sick and tired of being ignored, lied to, made to feel invisible, disrespected, and used. So, the fact that the Democratic candidates refused to answer four simple questions can mean several things: (1) they have no convincing answers, (2) they’re hiding the fact that they are not qualified, (3) they don’t believe their own campaign slogans, (4) they’re not familiar enough with residents and their core concerns to be able to address them. And, finally, (5) they talk about transparency and accountability but it appears to be just talk.

Slogans like β€œlistening” and β€œpeople over politics” β€” whatever that is supposed to mean β€” are all campaign blather that say nothing and offer nothing, if the candidates are not informed by a sincere and deep understanding of the hearts of New Baltimore residents, they are not electable to serve the New Baltimore community.

Sorry, ladies, the average New Baltimore resident is not a member of the elite organizations like the Conservancy, nor do the frequent the hotsy-totsy wine and cheese events in the park, and they are very unlikely to drop $40 to attend a hoity-toity meet-the-candidate soirΓ©e. You obviously are out of touch with the average New Baltimore resident and voter.

Editor’s Note: A further nagging concern is the fact that the Democratic candidates focus on themselves and their associations with fringe causes, and their membership in what can only be called the separatist New Baltimorean elite. such as the NB Conservancy, and practically nothing in New Baltimore as a united community!

Janet Kash focuses on her 40 years as a state employee writing for Democratic senators, her activities as an animal welfare advocate, animal health and safety, an amphibian rescuer, the New Baltimore Conservancy (an elitist group), Whiskers (an animal benevolent organization), and her degree in English. That’s all good news for New Baltimorean dogs, cats, and farm animals but what about US?

Debra Sottolano focuses on her interest as an environmental advocate, her 30 years as a state employee (Health Department), healthcare information systems, emergency preparedness, breast cancer advocacy, degrees in biology/chemistry, marketing, and β€œinterdisciplinary program of business management.” Sottolano would be great if we had a healthcare informatics, emergency preparedness, or infectious disease problem in New Baltimore, but we don’t.

Neither Kash nor Sottolano mention any issues of general community concern in New Baltimore other than the now moot Highway Department unionization.

Denise Taber, the RINO write-in, cites her brief stint on the New Baltimore Zoning Board of Appeals; membership in the Cornell Hook and Ladder Auxiliary; membership in the Ladies Auxiliary of the Green Count VFA; her experience as a Stewart’s manager, bus driver, and her certificate in secretarial studies. Running on those β€œcredentials” she’s asking you to put her in the Supervisor’s office. That’s either gross arrogance or a symptom of a mental delusional disorder!

We think these three women should stick with their volunteering and leave the politics to those more qualified to do the job.

If the Democratic candidates are campaigning on transparency and accountability, Why can’t they answer four simple questions, you might ask? If they are listening and are putting β€œpeople over politics,” why can’t they respond to four very clear and relevant questions. Well, because they are actually carpetbaggers, opportunists with no real qualifications and looking for something to do with their retirement time,[7] like making Town Hall their new sandbox. Enough is enough!

As I mentioned above, voters in New Baltimore will face a critical dilemma: Either keep the current Town Board unchanged and live with that decision for another two years until voters can get rid of Kelly Downes and Shelly VanEtten, and Jeffrey Ruso, if he’s still around, OR elect two women to replace the two men on the Town Board, changing the entire dynamics of the Board, because then the Board will be populated totally with women. If the one unqualified woman write-in candidate for Town Supervisor is successful in ousting Ruso β€” which is a near impossibility, given the fact that she has no experience or qualifications β€”, then the entire New Baltimore Town Board will be made up of women, 4 Board members and [im]possibly the Supervisor, who acts not only as the Town’s Chief Financial Officer but also as a Board member at Board meetings, making the 5-member board a feminist enclave. The β€˜Mars-Venus’ balance will be lost and that could mean trouble for everyone in New Baltimore.

Putting tits on a bull doesn’t make it more useful; it’s still a bull! Furthermore, if you are intimidated by your elected officials, you’re putting tits on a bull won’t help matters because given a bull’s temperament, who would get close enough to milk it?

The Success of the Town and the Effectiveness of the Town Board Depends on Public Participation in Town Government.

The future of the Town of New Baltimore and the effectiveness of the Town Board do not depend necessarily on who is on the Board β€” providing they have the minimum qualifications β€” but more on how involved residents are in their Town government. If as many Town residents were to attend Town Board meetings as attend Sunday baseball games in the Cecil C Hallock Memorial Park, and if a fraction of those residents were to take advantage of the Public Comment period to inform the Board, New Baltimore would be in a far better place, even a model community.

Therefore, a better solution, we feel, and for good reason, is to keep the Town Board the way it is but become more involved, directing the actions of the Town Board and Supervisor in the way that democratic process is supposed to work. Simply changing the faces on the Board without being involved in our Town’s government isn’t going to change a damn thing. Residents have to participate, speak up, and get things done. Just putting people in Town Hall and letting them do as they please is killing us as a community.

We are categorically opposed to packing the Town Board with one gender, and we’re convinced of the problems created by such a situation for a number of reasons. First of all, we hate cat fights. They’re noisy and the fur gets all over the place. It’s difficult to clean up the mess when they’re done. That’s what we expect to see if the two Democratic women replace the two Republican men on the Board, and have to deal with two very nasty incumbent Republican women, Downes and VanEtten, who will remain on the Board until the next round of elections, when they’ll hopefully be voted out.

There can only be two worst case scenarios on the New Baltimore Town Board if the men go: the two Democratic women will cozy up to the two Republican women and create a gender-biased feminist love-fest coalition, silencing anything without a vagina β€” natural or trans. Or (2) the second worst case scenario is that the two Democratic women lock horns with the two Republican harridans β€” Let the catfights begin! β€” and this is the most likely situation.

The Board needs political and gender balance and, it’s awful to have to admit, the two Democratic candidates are smart and may have their hearts in the right place β€” But the real question is where is that? Nobody knows for sure. But one thing is certain: the Town would have to sacrifice the male element on the board together with the vast practical and technical knowledge and experience that they have, and which they contribute to the Board’s activities and deliberations. To be fair, Boehlke and Irving have a special knowledge about and a feeling for the real community, something we don’t really see in the Democratic candidates.[8]

There has to be balance. Any extreme system is doomed to be just that, extreme, and a totally female Board is unbalanced and susceptible to polarization and extremism, especially given the special interests of candidates Kash and Sottolano. We don’t need that in New Baltimore.

We can all agree that Jeff Ruso needs to go, and with him Nick β€œthe Weasel” Dellisanti.

As our loyal veteran readers know well, we are strongly opposed to unopposed candidates, and Jeff Ruso has been in office only because he was unopposed in at least two elections; as an unopposed candidate, he is in office by default, and that’s not democratic process at work. Moreover, Ruso is not a leader and cannot handle the Board, as is obvious when we observe the free-for-all that is called a public Town Board meeting. [See our article on Kelly Downes’ histrionics, β€œDisrespect & Disorder: New Baltimore Board Member Downes all Fireworks”] But that doesn’t mean the voters should replace him with someone with absolutely no qualifications for the job.[9] Furthermore, anyone who observes the Town Board will know that Nick “the Weasel” Dellisanti is running things from backstage.

This situation is again problematic because the only person running against Ruso this November is a RINO write-in candidate and a woman.[10] But let’s just say that she overcomes the difficulty of running against an incumbent β€” even if we allow the handicap that Ruso is very unpopular, even among his own Republican party β€” she is still an underdog, a write-in. In other words, she didn’t decide to run until it was too late to obtain the number of signatures to properly get on the ballot, or get a party endorsement, and so she didn’t get on the official ballot, which is why she’s running as a write-in.[11] She’s a registered Republican but is a renegade, a maverick, and she’s supported by the Democratic Caucus and the two Democratic candidates for Town Board seats. Doesn’t that raise red flags from the start?[12]

We are totally not convinced she, Taber, has the right stuff to handle the job of Town Supervisor, but then, the last couple of supervisors we’ve had weren’t the right stuff, either, and they were men. So the fact that we’ve had several male duds as Supervisor β€” notwithstanding that the last woman Supervisor we had was a real space cadet β€” isn’t really a disadvantage for a woman candidate. But the fact that a candidate has no credentials or qualifications is a fatal disadvantage.

We really think Taber should drop out before she embarrasses herself or gets herself into water really way over her head.

But once again, we have to consider the balance factor and the fact that if, Denise Taber does not drop out and by some bizarre stroke of Fate, Β Taber were to be elected to be Town Supervisor, we’d have an entirely female Board! You might not find that all that unpalatable but be aware that you may very well have two Democratic women, two Republican women, and a β€œregistered Republican” RINO woman who turned on the party to accept Democratic support for her write-in campaign for Supervisor! How do you think that will go over with Kelly Downes and Shelly VanEtten, the two Republican incumbents on the Board. Let us make a little prediction: Catfight!

Voting has to be done sensibly, paying attention not only to who is available but what the reasonable expectations will be once they’re in office. These are human beings, people with their own strengths and weaknesses, their stereotypes and interests, their prejudices and preconceptions β€” and gender biases. They also have to mix well with the others on the Board and in Town Hall; the mixture has to be more like Gatorade than leach field runoff. Keep in mind also that whatever happens on the Town Board or in Town Hall will trickle down β€” rather flood down β€” to the rest of us.

If we take Ravena-Coeymans as an example, we can see how the saying, β€œA fish rots from the head down,” aptly applies to local government as well as it does to state and federal government.

Victimhood, collective trauma can lead to deep community divides and within-group conflicts β€” one of those groups would be the Town Board β€”, and a breakdown of community and Town Board cohesion.

Group suffering is an important antecedent of both conspiracy thinking and hostility towards outgroups (conspiracy believers vs non-believers). But what if the conspiracy is real?

The mistrust, alienation, deprivation, results in the conspiracy believer’s distancing themselves from the non-believer views β€” this distancing is called β€œtraumatic rift.” What if the conspiracy believers are right and the non-believers are part of the conspiracy or just too scared to admit the truth? What then?

Before November 7th, you really have to ask yourself: β€œWhich side of the fence am I on?”

NOTES

[1] Female bodies β€” biological female bodies β€” are usually equipped with OEM female brains, and science has clearly shown that female brains, like female bodies, are different from male brains. This is scientific fact. Anatomically they’re different, functionally they’re different, and psychologically they’re different. Add to those natural differences the cultural and sociable differences and you won’t be offended by the points I make in this article. If you are one of those who believe your ideology and identity politics are right and science is wrong, and you are still offended, please leave the site and have a good life wallowing in your delusions. You don’t belong here.

[2] The questions are extracted from a larger body of email text and have been edited for readability outside of the email text. No substantial or significant changes have been made, however.

[3] RINO is an acronym meaning β€œRepublican In Name Only;” the Democratic equivalent is a DINO, β€œDemocrat In Name Only.”

[4] A β€˜word salad,’ or schizophasia, is a confused or unintelligible mixture of seemingly random words and phrases, usually offered as a response but in fact is a non-response. In psychiatry, it’s a symptom of schizophrenia and used to describe the confused and unintelligible babblings of a neurological or mental disorder.

[5] We would like to note that the fact of the Democratic candidates and the RINO write-in candidate cuddling up to VanWormer and the Highway Department, and their emphasizing support for the Town Highway Department, while ignoring other important issues in the town, is a bit bizarre. We all know that VanWormer wanted a union contract and higher wages and the Town Board attempted to stymie the unionization. That’s a fact. But the Town did negotiate a contract and the Highway Department does now have their union contract. End of story. Because the story became a Republican scandal, a thorn in the current Town Board’s side, the Democrats picked up on it and weaponized the situation against the incumbent Republicans. VanWormer and the Highway Department basked in the attention and exploitedΒ  the Democrats’ support; Town Hall tried a backstage approach and lost. Not a very ethical way to fight a battle, but it was what it was. But it’s history now; no one’s interested in it any more, except maybe Kash, Sottolano, and Taber.

[6] Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus (1992) is a book written by author and relationship counselor John Gray. Gray illustrates common conflicts between men and women and offers advice on how to counteract differences in communication styles, emotional needs, and behavior. The book states that most common relationship problems between men and women are a result of fundamental psychological differences between the sexes, and that each sex is acclimated to its own sociology and psychology, different from those of the other gender. One example is men’s complaint that if they offer solutions to problems that women bring up in conversation, the women are not necessarily interested in solving those problems, but mainly want to talk about them. Gray asserts each gender can be understood in terms of distinct ways they respond to stress and stressful situations. (Gray, John. Men Are from Mars Women Are from Venus : The Classic Guide to Understanding the Opposite Sex. First Harper paperback ed. Harper 2012.)

[7] We know all too well when a retiree gets bored and goes into politics. An example would be our very own Nick β€œthe Weasel” Dellisanti.

[8] The Democratic candidates are both originally from areas with little in common with the traditions and culture of the real New Baltimore. Their backgrounds, particularly their careers and interests reflect more of the elitist minority of New Baltimore than of the majority of New Baltimore residents. Yes, the Democratic candidates are interested in New Baltimore but are they interested in the traditions and culture of New Baltimore, as New Baltimorean natives are? That’s a very big question.

[9] As for Denise Taber, having served a stint on the New Baltimore Zoning Board of Appeals and left, membership and volunteering in fire department auxiliary, having been a school bus driver, managing a Stewarts, and having a certificate in secretarial studies are not qualifications for Town Supervisor! Somebody’s head is a bit too big, we think.

[10] Actually, being a woman is certainly not the concern, and is neither should it be a qualification nor a disqualification. The concern is that Taber has absolutely no qualifications or experience for the job.

[11] We believe she was persuaded to run not for her own good but merely to challenge incumbent Town Supervisor with a candidate, and the only candidate the Democrats could pick up was Taber. We’re certain there’s a good story behind that one!

[12] That also illustrates one of our points: the gender issue. Even as a registered Republican, the two Democratic candidates for Town Board, Janet Kash and Debra Sottolano, are embracing Taber because she’s a woman β€” or because she’s gullible. Do you think that would happen if she were a man? Now, be honest.

To McHugh or Not to McHugh.

It’s a dumbass question, actually.

The obvious answer is NOT McHUGH.

Would you trust a guy wearing a hairpiece like this?
Was it the Saratoga stripper who taught him that?

We’ve done some investigating and some research and have come up with the recommendation that George McHugh should not be a consideration for the office of Coeymans Town Supervisor. We’ll be giving the reasons for our recommendations this weekend, before the primaries, so stay tuned.

First of all, if you know very little or nothing about a candidate, why would you even think of voting for him. That goes for the entire McHugh flea circus. You have a pack of losers, literally, just look at Langdon and McHugh himself.

Remember this honey of a land deal. McHugh took good care of himself.
By the way, Darby Realty was run by one of his former wives. Get the picture?

But once we go through the Coeymans Town Board minutes and working session minutes for 2000 to the end of 2001, the two years McHugh was last in the Coeymans Supervisor’s office and finagling land deals for himself when he left office, and we look at some of his other phoney activities, as well as talking to some people who were very close to McHugh β€” literally in the same bed with him, you’ll see what a slime he really is.

We’ll also be examining his running β€” or should we say crawling β€” mates, if there’s anything really there to discuss. They’re all a bit of not much, if you get our gist.

We’ll also be reviewing the local news opinions of McHugh and his relationship with Carver Laraway and Carver Companies. An we’re not necessarily talking about his picking up one of Carver Laraways’ ex wives. We’ll have more to say about how he manages his domestic, his personal life and how that reflects on his ability to manage your lives from Town Hall.

We’ve got some good stuff for ya! The Editor

P.s. We’ll also let you in on how the Ravena News Herald has become McHugh’s whore β€” among the many local ones he’s added to his kennel β€” and why you shouldn’t trust a word printed in it about him.

We’ll also let you in on our demands to US attorneys and DAs to invesitage and report back on the British subject in the US on a visa and Why? the US granted a visa and authorization to a perv to operate a sex business in the US!!! Are we that hard up for businesses that the United States State Department and the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (Homeland Security) grant visas for pervs to operate their sex businesses in the US? SHAME ON YOU!

Double-Standard Davis: Asking New Baltimore for another Term as Town Justice?

animated-updateLee Davis lost his bid for re-election to another party-boy, Tom Meacham (R). We found that Meacham, even before the elections, was violating NY’s Code of Judicial Ethics and New York Judicial Law, and we’ll be filing a formal complaint against Meacham in the very near future. It seems that New Baltimore, like so many towns and villages, can manage only to scrape the bottom of the barrel to find non-achievers to fill their local courts with ignorant party-butt-kissers. We’ll work to change that and improve local justice.

Two candidates are vying for the office of Town Justice in the Town of New Baltimore. Two misfits are asking voters in New Baltimore to put them on the local justice court, the bottom-feeder of the New York State Unified Court System, as bottom-feeder justices. Tom Meacham has already been exposed as being ignorant and unfit for judicial office because he’s already violated several provisions of New York’s Judicial Law and Code of Judicial Ethics even as a mere candidate. Either he’s dumb as dirt or he’s sleeping with the wrong keepers. But the bottom line is: he’s unfit for judicial office, even in a bottom-feeder town court. (See our recent article on Tom Meacham at:Β Tom Meacham Not Even Elected but Already Ethics Violations!!!!)

Meacham and Davis: Bottom-feeders seeking election to bottom-feeder judgeship.

Meacham and Davis: Bottom-feeders seeking election to bottom-feeder judgeship.

So that leaves the sucker voters of New Baltimore with the other candidate, Lee Davis, who apparently likes to refer to himself as “Judge” Davis. It’s that very egocentric, narcissistic “Judge Davis” on his campaign signs that initially attracted our attention. Yes, Mr “Judge” Davis, has been unfortunate enough to have gotten our attention, and we think he should have your attention, too, New Baltimore voters.

The initial question we had was about Davis’ character. Why would a local candidate want to distance himself from his neighbors, the voters, his community by adopting his office as his personal identifier. He flaunts “Judge” as if he were ashamed of his name, “Lee”. Our conclusion was that he is a stuffed-shirt. Lee Davis is not the person “Lee” Davis, he’s become his role, his office. This is a very serious transformation, and it’s one that we don’t want in an elected official, because any elected official who “becomes” his office can’t fully relate to people in the way that a judge must. Anyone like that has lost his person-ality and cannot attain the necessary wisdom to judge.

Our concerns led us to do some investigation and research on Mr Lee “Judge” Davis, and what we found and where we found it will send shivers down your spines.

And so…

Mr Lee “Judge” Davis is not what you see and what you see is not what you’re getting. At least not according to Lee “Judge” Davis’ older brother, Harry Davis, whom we have found and who has shared quite a bit of background on Lee “Judge” Davis, and we’d like (1) to share that information with our readers and the New Baltimore community, and (2) demand that Mr Lee “Judge” Davis come forward with either a denial with facts or to bow out of the New Baltimore elections and go into hiding.

Tokin' Judge?

Tokin’ Judge?
Yeah. But he don’t inhale.

The most damning allegation made by Mr Lee “Judge” Davis’ brother is that Davis used/uses drugs and allegedly cultivates weed somewhere on his 7-acre property in the town of New Baltimore. Although Davis’ older brother admits to introducing the sitting New Baltimore town justice to unlawful pleasures, Harry Davis alleges that his brother is a user and a dealer/distributor. This is a serious allegation indeed and is one that Mr Lee “Judge” Davis must be called to refute and to refute convincingly.

Mr Lee “Judge” Davis’ older brother Harry, who ran for public office once in Rochester on a legalize drugs theme, insists that his brother Lee “Judge” Davis is a “hypocrite” and “limosine liberal,” too!

Harry Davis provides a long history of Lee Davis’ activities working with convicted criminals to promote their rights in prison while neglecting his disabled brother. Harry calls his brother Lee a “limosine liberal” because while he’s Goody Two-shoes on the outside, all he’s doing is making himself visible for his own interests. When Harry Davis calls Lee Davis a “limosine liberal” it’s because Harry considers Lee to be unauthentic, dishonest, and a hypocrite. Not the kind of guy we need judging our citizens.

This sounds about right because Lee Davis is running on the Democrap ticket; that’s the liberal, socialist party now in the United States, and they’re not really known for their good judgment or morals.

It’s no secret that Harry and Lee are estranged at the very least but there’s no reason for us to doubt what Harry has to say about Lee, since Harry is very candid about himself and his mistakes. But Harry’s not asking to be voted to judicial office either.

Gimme your vote!

Gimme your vote!

Among the many things that Harry has shared with us is that Lee was involved in a shady property deal that left his brother Harry out in the cold, literally, and allegedly cheated Harry out of his share. Even the suggestion of such conduct is disqualifying for a judge. If you do that to your brother, what can a stranger expect?

Harry also alleges that Lee was negligent in caring for their elderly mother, who, allegedly due to Lee’s negligence, was involved in a serious traffic accident while operating a motor vehicle, and later died of complications. Harry alleges she should never have been driving at her age and that Lee allowed her to do so. If this is true, this shows a very serious lack of good judgment on Lee Davis’ part.

Harry does tend to go on about Lee’s myriad wrongs and misconduct, and we have to understand that there’s a great deal of hurt there. There’s a great deal of fact, too, we believe. You see, Harry has presented his case perhaps a bit colorfully but given his openness and some of the supporting information, we tend to believe that Harry is generally credible.

But whether Harry is hurt or not, even if a tiny portion of what he has told us is true, this community must seriously investigate Lee Davis’ fitness to fill any public office, much more so if he’s asking to be re-elected to be town justice in New Baltimore.

Lee Davis is a small-change attorney who works for the New York State Department of Health allegedly in a unit that slaps naughty doctors’ hands. Davis was previously in the corrections system where he advocated for prisoners’ rights. Davis makes about $95,000 a year with the State of New York and that’s nothing compared to what a real lawyer would be making. So it appears that although Davis is something of a non-achiever, someone who doesn’t really aim very high, on the outside, he’s apparently a sneaky weasel on the inside, which is consistent with a cowardly, insecure personality.

If Lee “Judge” Davis cannot foster justice and fair-play in his own immediate family…

bottom-lineThe Town of New Baltimore and the Democrap party backing Lee Davis are not forthcoming with information on this character so that the voting public know who he is and what he’s all about. All we get is what they want us to know and hear. Well, now we need to hear from the Democraps on how they vetted their candidate, Lee “Judge” Davis, and from Davis himself in response to his older brother’s allegations. We don’t really expect Lee Davis to respond or, even if he does, to admit the truth. Given that expectation we have to urge voters to keep this man off the bench in New Baltimore. After all, given the allegations by Davis’ older brother, Harry, Lee Davis has some really smelly baggage.

An even deeper question is: If Lee “Judge” Davis cannot foster justice and fair-play in his own immediate family, how can he claim to do that in a courtroom of strangers? Our expectation is that he cannot and consequently he has no business passing judgment on anyone!

Our final question to Lee Davis, bottom-feeder attorney, is why he is so happy being a town justice, a bottom-feeder judge on a bottom-feeder court, and Why? he hasn’t aimed higher, for a real judgeship? Maybe it’s because he’d be under greater scrutiny, vetted, and his background investigated and the truth about Lee Davis would be out and he’d be disqualified! Maybe that’s why he’s settling for a small town Democrap backing on a small-town court. Think about that.

Given the pre-election violations by Tom Meacham (R) and the fatal information on Lee Davis (D) provided by his older brother Harry Davis, New Baltimore doesn’t have any electable candidates for the seat on the New Baltimore Town Court. That leaves only the alleged adulterer dumbass Joseph Farrell on the New Baltimore Town Court. Dunce Farrell has been around for so long he probably should be kept in a museum case as the “Petrified Town Justice”, since his brain has long turned to sludge. But Farrell has made a lot of friends in New Baltimore and they’re enough to keep him in office, as long as they can depend on him.

The New York State Unified Court System has been trying for years to find a way around the town and village court system and the problems that bottom-feeder town and village justices cause due to their ignorance and incompetence. Town and village justices do not have to be lawyers, do not have to have a college educations, and need only a high-school diploma to be a town or village justice. Did you know that? Then you have little or no background checks, and their political party backers are interested only if they can get them elected. It’s the rest of us who have to deal with them for their four-year terms, if we are so unfortunate as to have to appear before one of them. The very least we have to to do protect ourselves is to do our own homework and keep the crazies and scoundrels off the bench.

Let your vote count and write in “FairPlay” and let them count that vote.

Residents and voters of Albany and Greene counties are not second class citizens and we shouldn’t be offered the sub-standard dregs we are getting from the political parties and local party committees; that’s not what our votes are for. Our votes are not food for their egos; our votes are for the good of the people, not for the good of the politicians. Let your vote count and write in “FairPlay” and let them count that vote. Don’t give the scoundrels numbers on the balloting. Just write “FairPlay” in the write-in space on the ballot on Tuesday, and let that be counted as your vote!

That may be your only defense, Lee Davis. The Editor

That may be your only defense, Lee Davis.
The Editor

Editor’s note: We have asked one of our contributors to contact the Town of New Baltimore to ask Lee Davis if he has an older brother, Harry, and if Harry lives in Rochester. Once we have that confirmation, we will pursue other relevant questions. As of this writing, the Town of New Baltimore has not responded.

Laszlo Polyak Running for Ravena Village Justice, as Write-in

Ravena voters have the chance on March 15 to finish cleaning up Ravena village hall and sweeping out the last bits of garbage left after Ravena voters gave mummy mayor John Bruno the boot. On March 15 Ravena voters can put Nancy Warner and her corrupt hubby, Harold “Hal” Warner, at the curbside for pick-up by County Waste, and complete the Village Hall Clean-up started two years ago.

big-clean

Vote Laszlo Polyak, Village Justice, Write-in Candidate!

It’s official: Laszlo Polyak, a familiar resident advocate for fairness and protecting RCS kids, is running for the office of Ravena village justice on March 15. It’s been kept hush-hush til now because Laszlo’s supporters wanted to avoid the vile tactics so well-known in local elections in RCS and the lies and ambush methods so well-known in the Warner circle of fiends. Laszlo’s supporters’ stealth tactics should pay off because Nasty-Nancy and Hooligan-Hal and their mob won’t have much time to lauch their mud-slinging and filth.

The Warners, the husband and wife pair, have been haunting village hall at both ends of local government: the village hall office and the village court, where they have been able to intimidate and mess with residents and even outsiders in the court, to serve and protect their friends and supporters. This corruption has to stop and Ravena village voters will have the chance on March 15th to get rid of both of them in one election.

Don’t forget how Nancy Warner conspired with the Delucas (Cathy and Dirty-Hands Jerry) and John Bruno to harass Ravena teenagers and violate their civil rights; how hard Nancy and her mob worked to kill the Teen Activities Center; how Nancy Warner and her mob spent $40,000 of Ravena taxpayer money to buy Bob Fisk’s scrap metal fitness equipment; how Nancy Warner and her mob kept her bosom buddy Cathy Deluca in a job at the cost of more than $100,000 a year of Ravena taxpayer dollars, and Cathy Deluca managed a third fitness center into failure! All at Ravena taxpayer expense. Only Nancy Warner’s friends get taxpayer dollars.

And do we have to remind our readers and Ravena voters of the fact that it was Nancy Warner who wanted the RCS Community Library out of their space in the village hall building so that Cathy Deluca’s fitness center could move in? Have you forgotten how hard Nancy Warner and her mob worked to EVICT the library. Have you forgotten that Nancy Warner and her mob raised the library’s rent by more than $700 while they were waiting for Persico to finish the new library? By the way, by increasing the library’s rent by an additional $700 Warner and her mob was eating up the library’s budget and punishing the community. Is that the kind of local government you want to keep?

And lets not forget Hal Warner’s special brand of justice: retaliative justice. He uses his corrupt version of justice to take personal revenge. Let’s not forget the Warners daughter, Carmen Warner, who was disgraced when she was fired from P. David Soares’, Albany County District Attorney, for posting indecent pictures of herself and her girlfriend on Facebook. If Carmen Warner is any indication of her parents’ character and morality, we’re all cooked! So make the right decision on March 15, and put Nasty-Nancy and Hoodlum-Hal back on the street. (Nancy Warner is actually Nancy Biscone-Warner, so it was no surprise that CarmenΒ was later hired by the Biscone law firm. Surprised?) Now old Hal is harassing the assistant district attorney to punish Soares. Is that what we need our court for? To exact private vengence? To pursue private vendettas?

On March 15th
Vote Dan Baker for Village Trustee
Vote Laszlo Polyak (Write-in) for Village Justice

spring-cleaningYou don’t have a choice with Bill Bailey, since both parties are using him as a pawn to prevent anyone with a real brain from running for village trustee. But he’s useless even if his party has a majority. We recommend casting your vote for useless Babbling-Bill, because it’s the safest one to cast for the second trustee seat.

Here are our recommendations for March 15th:
DAN BAKER
LASZLO POLYAKΒ (write-in, see below for instructions)
William Bailey (by default)

Please see below for instructions on how to vote for LASZLO POLYAK as a write-in. It’s very important you do this right and make sure you spell his name correctly when writing it in. The Warner mob will use any excuse to disqualify your vote. It’s been done in the past.

write in laszlo polyak

Editor’s Note: Β It will be interesting to see what Nancy Warner’s reaction will be when her husband is given his walking papers and Ravena finally has a real justice court. Our guess is that her first move will be to take steps to abolish the village court, just out of her characteristic nastiness, just to make certain no one else can preside. Let’s just wait and see.

So, Friends and Neighbors, do the right thing on March 15th, and finish cleaning up Ravena village hall. Give Nasty-Nancy and Hooligan-Hal their walking papers. Let’s give Ravena some fresh healthy air in Ravena village hall. The stench of corruption has been in Ravena village hall long enough!

Finish the clean-up, Ravena. Give the Warner's the boot! The Editor

Finish the clean-up, Ravena. Give the Warner’s the boot!

Mayor Bruno’s Campaign Letter: Mail Fraud? Official Misconduct?

UPDATE
We have verified that the Bruno letter was processed through the Ravena Post Office and was delivered by U.S.P.S. personnel. We have been informed that several complaints have been sent to the regional postmaster in Albany and to the U.S.P.S. Inspector General for investigation. The NYS Board of Elections has been advised. The Office of the NYS Comptroller has been informed.

How did it get into your mailbox?
No stamp, no postage paid imprint, no bulk permit imprint!
Who put it in your mailbox, anyway?

mail bag spill

Mail Fraud or Official Misconduct?

Mayor John Bruno and his “Colleagues” Martin Case and Rocco Persico need to answer some questions about how a letter to “Occupant” got into Ravena residents’ mailboxes this past week. The letter arrived simply addressed to “Occupant” and had no stamp, no postage paid imprint, and no bulk mail permit imprint. A reliable local source not connected with neither Bruno’s or MisuraΓ§a’s campaign confirms the “rumor that the Bruno flyer was inserted in the mailboxes of residents by the mail carrier with no postage and the mail carrier advised that the Mayor had paid the post office.” This allegation has not yet been verified but the source is reliable.

We published the letter and our comments on the letter and you can read about it at Bruno Wants a Fifth “Last and Final” Term.

We’d also like an investigation into where the letter was photocopied and whether village equipment and resources were misused for Bruno’s political campaign. That should be easy enough to prove, Mr Mayor, just produce the receipt from the copying business showing that you paid for the copies and didn’t use village equipment.

If it wasn’t the United States Postal Service mail carrier who put the letters in the Ravena residents’ mailboxes, we’d also like to know who was sneaking along Ravena village streets slipping Bruno’s letter into residents’ mailboxes. Was it a village employee? We want to know!

Either way, there’s something very fishy about Bruno’s letter distribution thing.

The Misuraca campaign did everything by the book. They used stamps or bulk mailing permits, and paid for their copying. No fraud, theft or misconduct there. Just plain honesty and playing by the rules. But we all know that’s not how Mayor Bruno or his “colleagues” Martin Case or Rocco Persico work. Ravena residents, better check your wallets!

Report Fraud, Misconduct!

Report Fraud, Misconduct!

Fraud? Maybe.

Generally speaking, a regular fraud case that would normally be prosecuted by local prosecuting attorneys at the state level can become a federal mail fraud case if the U.S. Postal Service was utilized by the accused defendant to commit the fraud. The U.S. Postal Inspectors are the agency that investigates fraud and other criminal abuse of the U.S. Postal System in furtherance of committing a crime. The mail fraud federal statute is broad based and allows the federal government to prosecute fraud and other types of cases resulting in some instances of sentences of 20 years in federal prison and 30 years in federal prison if a financial institution is the victim of a fraud.

Official Misconduct

Misconduct on the part of U.S. Postal Service employees includes misuse of Postal Service computers, destruction or theft of Postal Service property, falsification of official documents and forgery, theft of funds, abuse of authority, sabotage of operations, narcotics usage or sale of drugs while on duty, and alcohol abuse.

We’ll be contacting the New York State Board of Elections, too, to inform them of this situation and advise them that we are contacting the United States Postal Service Inspector General to request an inquiry and investigation of this incident. We think you should take the same action.

Bruno Wants a Fifth “Last and Final” Term

You can understand why Ravena constantly gets reamed on audits: Mayor John T. Bruno just can’t count!

Residents of Ravena Have Had the Pleasure of Having a Good Laugh

A Face You Can't Trust Ravena Mayor John T. Bruno

A Face You Can’t Trust
Ravena Mayor John T. Bruno

The laugh comes when you go to your mailbox and found that the mummy fairy has left a bit of really junk mail: A personal letter from the Mummy Mayor himself!

Here are some excerpts and our comments:

“”I am seeking one final term so that I can see through a number of projects and programs that the Village Board and I have initiated for the benefit of our Village”

We’ve been hearing about Bruno’s last and “final” term for the last three or four elections already. When is the “final term” finally going to come. We hope this is his final term and that he’s out on the street on March 18th; that’s whatΒ we all hope. Bruno has a “number of projects and programs” that he wants to see through, but he doesn’t tell us what they are. Damned, his next project must be to finish the job of destroying the village of Ravena. Anybody know of any missing nukes? What’s his next project, poisoning the water supply?

I ask that you look at my record and that of my colleagues. When you look at our accomplishments, I am confident that you will decide that I have worked hard to improve our community while minimizing the cost of village government and keeping taxes low. I hope you will give me the opportunity to finish what I have started.

This guy is either psychotic or has entered the terminal stages of senile dementia! He’s starting to really scareΒ us now! He’s asking us to look at his record, Β his accomplishments?!? Is he referring to Main Street, Ravena, and the ghost town he and his “colleagues” have created? The empty Teen Center building? The ruined streets? What are his “accomplishments”?Β We know about the “Black Mamba” and his record of corruption and bullying. And where’s all of the improvements? Anyone knowΒ or see something we’re missing in Ravena? The biggest fright is when you read, “I hope you will give me the opportunity to finish what I have started.” That is really scary…and we’re worried about terrorist attacks? We feel threatened by Russia? The biggest threat to Ravena’s future is John Bruno!

Wonder where Bruno got the nickname, "Black Mamba"?

Wonder where Bruno got the nickname, “Black Mamba”?

Bruno admits to having raised village taxes but then goes on to say, “I want to continue to improve our infrastructure so that development can continue to occur in the Village.” We’re really confused when Bruno writes, “so that development can continue to occur in the Village.” Bruno must be hallucinating. He must have found the cache of Coeymans police officers’ pot and has been helping them to dispose of it….damned fool is smoking it!Β Dear Bimbo Bruno: THERE IS NO DEVELOPMENT IN RAVENA! YOU KILLED THAT YEARS AGO, when you still had a badly impaired but still almost functioning brain!

The man has lost it completely when he writes:

Β “I am especially pleased with the improvements and increase in services we are providing to youth and seniors in particular.”

Bruno's got'em

Bruno’s got’em

Wasn’t it John Bruno who was persecuting the young people in Ravena when they were hanging out around the aazeboΒ on PulverΒ and Main Street. Wasn’t it Bruno and Warner who were patrollingΒ the gazebo and sending the Coeymans police to harass the kids? Wasn’t it John Bruno and his lackeys Warner, Case and Persico who harassed the Ravena-Coeymans Youth and Teen Activities Center until it had to close down? Bruno and his lackeys Warner, Case and Persico didn’t offer a dime to support youth in Ravena-Coeymans; in fact, they did everything they could to throw Ravena-Coeymans youth out on the streets again! Excuse us, Mr Mayor, but you are full of proverbial bullshit!

Bruno has the old-man’sΒ balls to actually bring up the Ravena Health and Fitness Center, his personal gift of a playpen to bottle-blond bimbo Cathy Deluca. The bet is that she can manage Ravena taxpayers’ money into a third fitness club failure. Everybody in village hall gets a little of the Ravena taxpayers’ sugar: Bob Fisk gets to sell his scrap equipment after Cathy Deluca closed his fitness center ($40,000 of taxpayer money. Thank you, Mr Mayor.) Then they evict the RCS Community Library after raising their rent an outrageous additionalΒ $600 a month to force the library out. Then Bruno and his lackeys Warner, Bailey and YES! Martin Case and Rocco Persico allocated another $105,000.00 in taxpayer money to finance Cathy Deluca’s playpen for 2014. The Ravena Health and Fitness Center doesn’t pay rent for the space like the community library did. Doesn’t pay for utilities, either! But it’s spending tax dollars and Cathy Deluca is cashing in to the tune of $30,000 plus full benefits. The membership numbers just aren’t there to break even. Bruno’s money pit; Deluca’s cash cow. Ravena’s open sore.

“The new fitness center is serving as a place to improve the health of residents from 16-95.”

A STEAMING PILE OF BULLSHIT!!! That's what your letter amounts to, Mr Bruno!

A STEAMING PILE OF BULLSHIT!!!
That’s what your letter amounts to, Mr Bruno!

“We have reached out to building owners and I want to work with to find new tenants and opportunities for Main Street. I am also working with Senator TkaczykΒ and Assemblyman Lopez to ensure that CSXΒ Rail replants trees along Magnolia Circle and operates as safely as possible when passing through Ravena.”

We are really at a loss for words when reading this pile of bullshit. Is Bruno so far gone, so out of it, so out of touch with reality that he actually thinks that anyone who lives in or near Ravena believes this blather he’s writing? “Reaching out to building owners?” “New tenants and opportunities for Main Street?” But anyone who has been following the CSXΒ conspiracy, especially the residents along Magnolia Circle, those residents who are already living on top of a railroad toxic waste dump (Know about the transformer waste buried there? Ask Mr Bruno about it.), who woke up one morning to find that CSX had done some landscaping for them. Bruno claimed he knew nothing about it? If you believe that, neighbors, I’ve got a bridge you might want to buy. Cheap.

Mummy Returns

Just Say NO! to BRUNO!

Our Polls are Doing Just That: Bill “Moose” Misuraca 74% of Votes, John Bruno only 5%
Keith Mahler 33%, Laszlo Polyak (write-in)Β 21%, Joel Coye 23% of Votes, Case and Persico each 3%.

Β Here are some Reasons Why Ravena Needs a New Mayor & New Trustees:

Well, the title graphic above should say it all. Bruno has, in the more than 25 years he’s been in office, succeeded in driving business and residents out of the Village of Ravena! Ravena is fast becoming a real ghost town.

But Bruno hasn’t done it alone. His monkeys on the Village Council have supported him all the way. Two of those monkeys are running for re-election: Martin Case and Rocco Persico. If Ravena is to survive, voters can’t let that happen.

mummy team
TEAM MUMMY
Persico – Bruno – Case

Here are just a couple of reasons to kick their arses out of Village Hall:

Transformed the Village of Ravena from a vibrant model village community of families and neighbors into a ghost town of backstabbers.

Rather than support the RCS Community Library when it was between a rock and a hard place, Bruno-Persico-Case chose to EVICT the community library! To add insult to injury, they even raised the library’s rent by more than $600 a month to punish the library for not being able to move into the new building (which was being renovated by Rocco Persico’s own cousin, Don Persico!)

Bruno-Persico-Case purchased used exercise equipment for more than $40,000 from insider Bob Fisk using tax payer dollars with no inputs from taxpayers!

Bruno-Persico-Case then evicted the RCS Community Library and created a useless fitness center in the library space and installed insider Cathy Deluca as the “director” of Cathy’s new playpen.

Then Bruno-Persico-Case went ahead and budgeted more than $105,000 to finance the Ravena Health and Fitness Center for 2014, paying insider Cathy Deluca more than $30,000 to run the place and getting her civil service classification with full benefits at YOUR expense. The fitness center is losing money, YOUR MONEY, and is a money-pit.

While they were evicting the library and creating a playpen for Cathy Deluca and Nancy Warner, another one of your fine Village trustees, they were busy persecuting local teens and youth, harassing them under unconstitutional local village laws, aided and abetted in their unlawful harassment by the Coeymanazi police department (Gregory Darlington and “Dirty-Hands Jerry” Deluca).

mayor of the damned

While harassing the kids Bruno-Persico-Case and Nancy Warner were killing the Ravena-Coeymans Teen and Youth Activities Center, a place where the kids could go to get off the streets and stay out of trouble. But the village of Ravena couldn’t allocate a dime for the kids but could spend $40,000 on used exercise equipment for the Cathy Deluca’s playpen, the Ravena Health and Fitness Center, plus budget more than $105,000 for the Ravena Heaps and Fatness Club. Ravena-Coeymans youth and teens owe Bruno, Persico and Case a good swift kick!

Mayor John Bruno seems to conveniently forget all of his secret deals and meetings. Think about it Magnolia Circle residents when you think CSX and your missing trees. Two-faced Bruno and his lackies Rocco Persico and Martin Case played stupid when confronted about the unlawfully cut trees. You ought to be really pissed Magnolia Circle residents not only because of your trees but because of the LIES!

Mayor John Bruno and his bunch of flying monkeys, Rocco Persico, Martin Case, Nancy Warner, and William “Bill” Bailey have a lot of explaining to do about their financial mismanagement of the village of Ravena. Too many New York State Comptroller’s audits have turned up too many “mistakes” and too much mismanagement to be just accidental. They’re not accidents, they’re incompetence and corruption! And did you ever try to get Bruno and his monkeys to disclose any of their shady business deals? Good luck! Everything goes on behind closed doors mafia-style until the shite hits the fan and then Bruno says: “I didn’t know!” Just what you want to hear from your mayor, the chief financial officer of the village!

Plenty of money, taxpayer money, to waste or steal in a village with a shrinking tax base. You get to pay more for less and for shoddy management. Who in their right mind would pave new streets over 100-year-old pipelines that regularly burst and flood residents’ basements? Only TEAM BRUNO!

Who paves over natural streams and creeks and installs culverts that can’t handle the flow? The result, constant flooding of parking lots and streets. That’s TEAM BRUNO management for you!

Who uses threats and strong-arm tactics to attract business (Yes! We know, that’s not how it should be done!)? TEAM BRUNO! “If you don’t do it my way, you’ll never do business in or with Ravena again!” That’s how TEAM BRUNO attracts business. Same for residents. No residential growth no business. Great plan TEAM BRUNO! The proof: Check out Main Street Ravena!

The Bruno Method for attracting business and families

The Bruno Method
for attracting business and families

The picture above comes from the 2008 film “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor / Action-Fantasy” but could easily be retitled 2014 Β “The Mummy: Ravena, Tomb of the Dragon Mayor (2014)/ No-Action-Fantasy.”

There’s more, so much more and we’re sure we’ll be hearing from Ravena residents with horror stories about their experiences with John T. BrunoΒ over the past 28 years or so. But the real proof is when you look around Ravena and see the damage that he and his lackies have done.

What’s worse, his two running mates, Martin “Marty” Case, a real loser from the start, and Rocco Persico, a lump of do-nothing, are also employees of the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District! Can you imagine that loser Case as a social studies teacher? Or Rocco Persico as a school psychologist? But yes, that’s where they have their main jobs. Your kids are exposed to duds like Case and PersicoΒ and you wonder why graduation rates and test scores are abysmal at RCS schools? So it should be no surprise to you that when they got into village hall they did what they do best: NOTHING! Again, YOUR TAX DOLLARS at work.

(And keep your eye on that little dwarf Tom Dolan, that honorary member of the freak show is local Democratic PartyΒ chairperson and allegedly has finnagledΒ the votes from his Choice program people and Oakbrook, too! But judging from the percentage of DemsΒ voting in favor of Misuraca, Dolan’s failing as a democrat, too. The polls show 35% of votes for Misuraca are Dems and 32% are Republicans, a total of 67% (plus another 29% from Conservatives and Independents = 95% of votes for Misuraca!) Only 5% carrying Bruno!)

Ravena currently has a Village Council of ONE, Black Mamba Mayor John T. Bruno. Nancy Warner is his bitch; Marty Case, Rocco Persico, Bill Bailey are his freak show stars. Casting A Glance Over Our Recent Articles We Have to Wonder…

Burning Questions for Residents

Ravena: Change is in the Air

Freshness in the Air</big?

Freshness in the Air

The air is getting fresher and fresher in Ravena. You can almost breathe without Ravena Mayor Bruno or Nancy WarnerΒ breathing down your back. Any ideas why that is, Ravena residents? Ravena is facing an historicΒ election, one that, according to our polls and the word on the street, is going to turn the village right around: The incumbent, very unpopular, abysmally low in the polls John Bruno is on the road to a well-earned boot-in-the-ass, and a popular local figure, Bill “Moose” Misuraca, local tavern owner and community leader, is wearing the boot. The same is true for the guys competing for the 2 Ravena trustee seats on the Village Council. Here are the figures as of February 25, 2014:

Ravena Mayoral Race
Bill “Moose” Misuraca, 76%
John T. Bruno, 3%

Ravena Village Trustees
Kieth Mahler, 36%
Laszlo Polyak (write-in), 26%
Joel Coye, 9.6%
R. Persico (incumbent Bruno-boy), 3.8%
Martin Case (incumbent Bruno-boy), 2%

Participate in our Ravena Election polls: Vote Now! Click on this link: Ravena Votes Right: Polls

According to these figures, it doesn’t look good for Bruno, Persico and Case. With those figures, you even wonder why they’re bothering and don’t just throw in the towel, instead of suffering extreme embarrassment at the polls. But they’ve never shown any good sense; why would they start now?

Coeymans: The World’s Dumping Ground

Instead of Senior Housing, Teen Centers, Nature Preserves Coeymans Vision in Your Back Yard Just Keep Sitting Back Quiet

Instead of Senior Housing, Teen Centers, Nature Preserves
Coeymans Vision in Your Back Yard
Just Keep Sitting Back Quiet

We’re having some trouble with figuring out just where Coeymans wants to be in the next ten years or so. We’re having difficulty understanding whether, what, or even if Coeymans town hall has vision or is still blind as a bat and being led around by the nose by self-serving insiders and governed by backroom deals. Here’s why:

When Arby’s needed a slapstick comedy town to rename itselfβ€”that is, prostitute itself for a sandwich and be the world’s foolβ€”Coeyman’s stood tall screaming “We’ll do it!”Β  And they did it: they renamed the Town of Coeymans “Reubenville” for an entire month and in return got a box of sandwich coupons. What Tom Dolan and the rest of the cockroaches in Town Hall, like Tom Dolan, Β didn’t steal, Coeymans residents lined up like round rodents to claim what was left. When poorTown Clerk Diane Millious was asked who was accounting for the coupons (each was worth about $6) the otherwise cool and collected clerk just shook her head and said, “Nobody. They just come and take what they want.” [paraphrased]

When Albany wants a dump: They go to Coeymans. When TCIΒ want to relocate their poison plant (just PCBs): They go to Coeymans. When someone wants to create a port complex or build a bridge: The build a high dirt wall to hide the Hudson River (and what’s going on at their port) from our view (Yes, Mabel! Some say it was an NSA requirement to have the wall to prevent terrorism but it still hides the River and, really, how many terrorists do you think it will stop?), or they tear up our roads and choke us with dust, or they simply tear up the environment to build a bridge and possibly compromise a protected waterway. (And, YES! Mabel, they did put in a Gazebo so you can sit and watch the river! Thank you!)Β  But the slogan is: “Just come to Coeymans and we’ll roll over for you!”

We know who’s getting paid off for all of this and who’s getting really rich BUT how many jobs did they create?

And what about local media? The Albany Times Useless and News 10, 13, and 6 have a heyday trashing everything and everyone in the Coeymans community and Coeymans just…rolls over. Just think about the misleading and devastating reporting that went on News 10 ABC recently about a new business in Glenmont! (see our article: Thank You! All You Can Eat Buffet Discount). Isn’t Albany, Ravena-Coeymans, the Capital Region, New York State, the Country depressed enough? Do we need local “news” media’s help in killing new business and jobs in the area? Let’s all thank Channel 10 “news” and the Albany Times Union for plunging a knife deep into our backs!

Talking about trash and dumping, and rolling over to be screwed: We still have the Coeymans Police Department, too. But rumor is that’s not for long.

But let’s ask these questions: Have any ot these carpetbaggers done anything for the residents of Coeymans besides unload on them and make fools of them?

Please read Pundit’s comments below. They’re particularly good and on target!

Town Government and School Governance

culture-of-corruption Victorina

We’ve recently posted a number of articles discussing the goings on in our town halls in Coeymans and in New Baltimore. One of our articles relates again to the Coeymans police department and the retirement of one of its employees, Gerald “Dirty Hands Jerry” Deluca, who claims to have 32 years on the Coeymans police force (Ravena News Herald picked up on this in and article by Bryan Rowzee. See our revealing article at: Making Shite Shine). We pointed out some very glaring questions about Deluca’s claims and demanded an investigation. Do you think that’s going to happen? Do you think the Town of Coeymans board is going to pass a resolution to investigate Deluca’s claims and publish the results for all to see?

Do you think for a moment that the Town of Coeymans has ordered an investigation or brought in outside authorities to investigate the many claims of obstruction of justice, misprision of felony, harassment, misuse of public office, etc.? Nothing has been done but to shake the criminals’ hands and give them fat pensions! This is NOT going away, Coeymans, so you’d better do something about it.

The recent stupid comments made by the Coeymans official and picked up by the Albany Times Union can’t be overlooked and have not been overlooked by us or our readers. In fact, we won’t even comment but will quote one of our readers who left a comment on the issue:

And our schools? More than $42 million budget. That’s more than the entire budget of the town of Coeymans and the Town of New Baltimore combined! And for what? The Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk central school district board of education is owned by the teachers and the teachers union, NYSUT. The budget is getting more and more bloated at the expense of a dwindling tax base in the RCS school district but the quality of education as evidenced in graduation rates and recent reports on the quality of education in the schools is dropping: RCS property owners are being clobbered with every higher taxes, the non-property owners are reaping the benefits, and we are still at the bottom of the list as far as quality of education goes.

But where there’s that much money available you can bet there’s corruption! But the teachers are getting pretty hefty salaries and their benefits and fringes are certainly not going down! They demand MORE and deliver LESS! Why do RCS CSD residents stand for that? Better question: Why do RCS school district property owners and taxpayers stand for that? Any good answers?

Plenty of money and no transparency, no accountability. That spells abuse of public trust, corruption, and crime!

Speaking of abuse of public trust, corruption and crimeβ€”and NO! we’re not back on the Village of Ravena’s case nor are we launching another exposΓ© on the Coeymans p.d. or Cathy Deluca and her Ravena playpen, the failing money pit a.k.a. the Ravena Health and Fitness Centerβ€”we’re looking at how tax assessments are done in Coeymans but will let one of our readers pour the salt into your wounds on this one, Coeymans (see below in comments).

New Baltimore Town Clerk's Office Hours Board Wants Change

New Baltimore Town Clerk’s Office Hours
Board Wants Change

We’re also looking at the situation of the New Baltimore Town Clerk who doesn’t think she needs to keep regular office hours. We’ve run a story on New Baltimore Town Clerk, Janet Brooks (click here: β€œIf you want me to do my job, you’ll have to pay me more…”), who staunchly opposed the New Baltimore Town board’s attempt to establish regular hours for the Town Clerk’s office. We have also learned that in addition to her very generous salary of about $29,000/year PLUS benefits (healthcare etc.) PLUS state pension, she tends to keep very unusual hours. In fact, a reliable report alleges that in January 2014 she put in all of 8 days! And it appears that previous democrat administrations (David Lewis/Diane Lewis, O’Rorke) never bothered to establish office hours nor to publish even whether the official position of Town Clerk is full- or part-time. Does that really surprise you?

Well, the newly elected New Baltimore town board has uncovered mountains of irregularities in New Baltimore town government and is taken decisive steps to kill the corruption and criminality that has been going on there.

Here’s a comparison for you, New Baltimore residents: The Town of Coeymans is hasΒ about twice the population of New Baltimore and the CoeymansΒ town clerk does about twice the number of things the New Baltimore town clerk does. The Coeymans town clerk is full-time PLUS. The Coeymans town clerk receives about $42,000 a year in salary as full-time clerk. The New Baltimore town clerk, Janet Brooks, receives more than $30,000 (total estimate for 2014) but appears to think her job is part-time. Can anyone in New Baltimore explain this? How long has this been going on?

From where we are standing this looks like abuse of public trust, misuse of public office, corruption, and even embezzlement of public funds by stealing salary and benefits! Has anyone tried this in their jobs? Does it work as well for you as it apparently works for Ms Brooks?

The newly-electedΒ Β New Baltimore supervisor and his team are working hard to uncover the dirt that’s been swept under the carpets, to get the skeletons out of the closets in New Baltimore town hall, to put things in some order. But they’re getting a lot of opposition from Ms Brooks, her ally New Baltimore Dem Committee chair Dianne Lewis (wife of former supervisor David Lewis), and sock puppetΒ town board members Lisa Benway and Christopher “Chris” Norris, who apparently have a lot to hide. Denis Jordan, whose wife is deputy clerk to Janet Brooks and now New Baltimore tax collector, is tripping over himself on a day-to-day basis.

It’s a mess but given time and energy, newly elected New Baltimore supervisor Nick Dellisanti and his able team of Jeff Ruso and Sally vanEtten, with the support of honest New Baltimore residents, will eventually clean things up and maybe send a couple of criminals down the river.

Ironically, we just received an announcement from the FBI, FBI Announces Campaign to Seek Public Assistance Identifying Acts of Public Corruption (Feb. 18, 2014). Does this mean there’s still hope? Or is it a smoke screen? Maybe you should participate in this FBI campaign.

That all said, now is a time to put basic American values and solid tradition back in our town halls, people. We’ve gotten very lax in our churches and town halls, in our politics and our spirituality. We need to rediscover our values and stop this stupidity we call political correctness and all of the dehumanizing secularityΒ we wallow in because we are so damned confused the only place to go is back into our shell and make-believe there’s nothing out there but US!

Please read Pundit’s comments below. They’re particularly good and on target!

Rebuild My House We Need to Rediscover Values and Belief

Rebuild My House
We Need to Rediscover Values and Belief

Local media has turned into propaganda mills, schools are crap, kids brains Β are turning to mush and getting sucked into their electronic toys, mummy mayors and witches on sticks close our youth centers but reward insiders with fitness centers, property owners are being sucked dry by incompetent vampire school systems, police keep everyone properly intimidated and provide the necessary harassment and retaliation, churches are empty or populated by ministers who preach political agendas and hypocrites reading the Scriptures, town hallsΒ are meeting places for crooks and backroom deals, roads are full of potholes, Main Street is a ghost town, they’re turning our meadows and forests into transfer stations or dumps, and they’re building walls to hide our river. That’s America in our little community. Does it get any worse?

A Family Incident Leads to Political Questions: What’s the deal?

Does a Misunderstanding Between Two Brothers About An Alleged Illegality Tell Us Something About the Candidate…And the Potential Conflicts of Interest and Interference by the Candidate’s Wife?

Family Incident Sends Up the Red Flags!!!

Family Incident Sends Up the Red Flags for Ravena Voters!!!

A real-life incident between Dom Misuraca, brother of Bill “Moose” Misuraca, the Republican Candidate for Mayor of Ravena, may tell volumes of what Ravena residents can expect if Mr Misuraca is elected, and should send up red flags about the possible conflicts of interest and interference that may be caused by Misuraca’s wife, Jena Misuraca, with possible effects of abuse of public office. Here’s the scenario straight from the brother’s mouth:

The Brother, Dom Misuraca, of Republican Ravena Mayoral Candidate Bill “Moose” Misuraca, writes in a recent response to a comment made by one of our readers:

Ill just say this to your assine reply to my comment:

1. The way he [Bill “Moose” Misuraca] makes a sandwich matters little in comparison to running a town [Ravena].

2. I did storm into the bar, as far as it being β€œno reason at all”, well you wouldnt know thatΒ I had just gotten off the phone with my crying mother….crying because he was blaming ME , as the person that reported the bar for HAVING UNTAXED WORKERS. WhileΒ I do not condone off the book employees, I certainly did not report him…I am not only [the] person on his bad side.

The police were not necessary if he had only been able to COMMUNICATE WITH ME, instead of jumping to conclusions and allowing his wife [Jena Misuraca] to spread rumors. I certainly wouldnt have WASTED THE TAXPAYERS MONEY by calling the police….who , in TRUE RAVENA FASHION ,arrived in a pack of three.

3. HE IS NOT FULL OWNER OF NEITHER THE BAR nor PROPERTY. As partial owner of the property, i was within my rights to be there…i left to talk to the police outside ,away from nosey barflies…… It seems like it is YOU [one of our readers] who does not know the whole story,

[Response to comment made to the articleΒ The Buzz is Out: Bill “Moose” Misuraca will Challenge John “Black Mamba” Bruno in the Ravena Mayoral Race!!]

Although it sounds like a family matter, there are three points embedded in Dom Misuraca’s comment that are of significant interest to our readers, and raise questions about the mayoral candidate, Bill “Moose” Misuraca:

(1) The allegation that Bill “Moose” Misuraca and his wife Jena Misuraca were evading the law as regards workers/employee taxes. Not that financial mismanagement hasn’t been the hallmark of the John T. Bruno & Co. regime, this is a serious allegation, especially serious when it is made against someone who wants to be the chief financial officer of the Village of Ravena. We need to hear more about this allegation and maybe get some clarification.

(2) The apparent communication problem is also worrying. If someone can’t communicate appropriately on a serious matter, whether the allegation is true or untrue, and that person can’t respond to the allegation in a rational and sensible way, that is another serious problem for someone who wants to be the chief communicator of the Village of Ravena.

(3) Rumors have always been a problem in Ravena-Coeymans and have caused a lot of heartache to a lot of people. We mentioned in a previous post that we are concerned that Jena Misuraca may not respect boundaries if her husband, Bill Misuraca, is elected to be Ravena mayor. We base our concern on Jena’s many sometimes questionable participattion in local movements and the company she tends to keep. The RCS Sports Association with its Twilight Zone history of shabby bookkeeping and total lack of transparency, Jena’s involvement with certain groups involved in the schools (and we don’t mean the cookie-baking team), her outrageous political activism and partisanship relating to the RCS board of education, her questionable friendships with local renegade figures like Cathy and Dirty-Hands Jerry Deluca, and the list could go on. Jena simply doesn’t know when to mind her own business and to lay low, if necessary. Jena’s “individualism”, if you want to call it that, goes far beyond what we would like to see in the wife of the mayor of Ravena. In our opinion, there could be many conflicts of interest and problems created if Jena isn’t kept in her crate with her mouth shut.

(4) The coziness with elements of the Coeymanazi police department bothers us, too. All of the above concerns culminate in the fact that the Coeymans police were involved and our question is: Why? Who called them? For what purpose? Was it Bill “Moose” Misuraca or Jena Misuraca? If Dom Misuraca was there to talk to his brother about a misunderstanding, why didn’t it play out that way? If Jena called her “friends” in the Coeymans police department, what business was it of hers to get involved in something that was between two brothers. (And is that going to become a pattern if Mr Misuraca occupies the mayor’s office?). And if Dom has every right to be on the property, and was not creating a disturbance, he was within his rights.

Now let’s superimpose this little scenario on what might occur if it was in Ravena Village Hall….

Imagine_ifNow, readers, take this scenario a step further and imagine the Halfway House Tavern is the Ravena Village Hall. Now imagine that there’s some illegal crapola going on in the village workings involving some mismanagement or corruption (= the alleged untaxed employees at the Halfway House Tavern), and some people are upset about it (= Misuraca’s mother and Dom Misuraca). A citizen (= Dom Misuraca) goes to the public space (= Halfway House Tavern = Village Hall) to discuss the issue with an elected official (= Bill “Moose” Misuraca) in order to get the story straight. The citizen (= Dom Misuraca) has every right (1) to be concerned about the situation, (2) to go to village hall, (3) to talk to the elected official, (4) to get the facts and the story straight. OK so far?

Perhaps the discussion gets a bit emotional (it happens at town, village and school board meetings all the time) but it’s not an incident. Now, say someone who is not an elected public servant or even an employee of the village government (= Jena Misuraca, although she works at the Halfway House Tavern) sticks his or her nose in it, and starts spreading rumors about the citizen’s (= Dom Misuraca) discussion with the elected official (= Bill “Moose” Misuraca) all over town, when s/he should have kept his/her mouth shut. Let’s also say that that rumor-monger (= Jena Misuraca) has questionable motives and hangs out with questionable groups (RCS Sports Association, Fiends of RCS, the Coeymanazi police department, Cathy and Dirty-Hands Jerry Deluca, etc.) and the whole thing gets perverted in the telling. And say, as the story goes, that that Ms Buttinsky (= Jena Misuraca), calls the police to intervene in something only to make a scene.

Now think: Does that paint a picture of open government where citizens can feel free to approach their elected officials, to discuss isses with them, to freely interact with local government without fear of retaliation or intimidation? Sure doesn’t sound that way to us! In fact, it sounds a lot like what we now have in Ravena Village Hall. It sounds a lot like what a local resident describes when he visited the Ravena Health and Fitness Center, a public place, during the open house, and was told he wasn’t welcome and to leave. It sounds just like what Cathy Deluca and one of her minions, Claude Wheeler, did when they falsely reported an incident to the Coeymanazi police, too. It also sounds a lot like the obstruction of justice by the Coeymans police department when it came to investigating the violation of the resident’s protected civil rights (a crime), the charge of falsely reporting an incident (a misdemeanor), the charge of conspiring (a misdemeanor) to file a falsely reporting an incident, when they concerned Cathy Deluca, the wife of Coeymans cop Dirty-Hands Jerry Deluca! And that’s only one incident. Many similar ones appear in the list of Notices of Claims against the Village of Ravena, the Town of Coeymans, and the Coeymans Police Department.

Get the Facts and the Story Straight! Stop the Rumors and Gossip!

Get the Facts and the Story Straight!
Stop the Rumors and Gossip!

We need some answers to these questions we’ve posed above. We need some certainty that on March 18, voters are not jumping from the frying pan into a very big bonfire. We need to know what we’re getting into and whether we need to seriously ignore what the political parties have cooked up for us and start thinking very seriously about some local men and women who can be write-in candidates and who don’t have so much damned baggage! Think Laszlo Polyak or Michael Fisher, or another trustworthy write-in candidate for Ravena mayor,Β if the Bruno gang or MisuracaΒ pair is getting too scary. Send us the names of your write-ins and we’ll campaign for them!

We need to hear from the candidates, too. Silence will only keep the rumors alive and will be an admission of guilt!

What weΒ DON’T NEEDΒ in Ravena Village Hall is More Dirty Laundry and More Baggage! Do the Laundry and Unpack the Baggage, Candidates, Before Election Day! How about financial disclosures? Tax records? Answers to straight questions? Don’t voters deserve to have answers from the men and women who are asking to be elected? If we cant demand accountability and get transparency at the local level, how in hell can you hope for it from Albany or Washington D.C.?
