Congressional Bickering Costs American Lives

Months of worthless investigations and testimony, a failed impeachment investigation and proceeding, headed by a bunch of idiots elected to public office by another bunch of idiots, all while in Wuhan, China, the next killer pandemic was brewing. At the same time the US Congress was playing their backstabbing, witchhunting antics, and giving away American taxpayer’s medical equipment and supplies, while ignoring the basics for the homeland, like healthcare, the elderly, the working poor, and Congress and state legislatures were legislating abortion and pay hikes for themselves, the highly-paid executives of America’s so-called non-profits — like the Captial District YMCA and Easton Mountain sex camp — were abusing veterans or promoting promiscuous sex, while collecting six-figure salaries, WHERE WERE YOU?!?!

Meanwhile, the Pentagon will Provide 100,000 Body Bags.

Now that you have learned what self-isolation, quarantine, social-distancing, empty supermarket shelves, people roaming the aisles and streets with face masks all means, maybe you’d like to re-evaluate your status as a “free American,” who is free to die as the result of government and elected official’s negligence and stupidity.

Look, people, this situation doesn’t happen in a single administration; it takes multiple administrations to create a problem like this! This has been brewing in Washington for at least three presidencies: Bush (remember 911!), Obama, and now Trump. It’s not Trump’s fault, either, but he’s the face we glue to the administration. The fault lies in the Senate and the House of Representatives, in Albany, and in Washington, DC. If you look at what’s been going on in Congress over the past two years, you might want to find a barf bag. It’s sickening, so sickening that Americans are now dying, and the Pentagon will be donating 100,000 body bags, while Nancy Pelosi and the gangsters in Washington D.C., are still pointing fingers and wagging their tongues.

Medical staff move bodies from the Wyckoff Heights Medical Center to a refrigerated truck on April 2, 2020 in Brooklyn, New York. – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has asked the US Defense Department for 100,000 body bags as the toll mounts from the novel coronavirus, the Pentagon said on April 2. White House experts have said that US deaths from the disease — currently at more than 5,100 — are expected to climb to between 100,000 and 240,000, even with mitigation efforts in force. Is this the new Fear Factor? Is the US government trying to cause a panic? It has!

The New World Order has begun, people! You know now how you can be so infected with fear and anxiety by your government that you hoard toilet paper and paper towels; you race to Walmart and your local supermarket to empty the shelves. FEAR!!! AVOIDABLE FEAR!!!!

Businesses and government offices are CLOSED! Restaurants are CLOSED! You are told to stay home!!! See how easy it is to control you? Now we know.

Schools have been closed for weeks. Even God is put on hold! Churches are open but not for public worship! No wakes, funerals, etc. No closure for the bereaved! Thanks to poor or absent government! Incompetent elected officials! More finger-pointing and accusations while Americans are dying!!!

But the United States Goverenment has a solution for its incompetence: SPENDING! What’s Inside The Senate’s $2 Trillion Coronavirus Aid Package, an emergency aid spending package that is spending money we don’t have, but will have to back up in tax dollars. Great planning, right? Poor planning costs us a bundle when a pandemic hits us and then, in order to take our attention off the poor planning and incompetent government, the same incompetent government passes an irresponsible aid package to cover their tracks!  Are you going to continue swallowing this shit? Are you still going to sleep on your stomach waiting for the …. ? Read what the package contains at What’s Inside The Senate’s $2 Trillion Coronavirus Aid Package. But once again, big business gets the lion’s share of the so-called aid: $500 billion compared with $377 billion to small businesses and a stinking paltry $153 billion to public health. We can see where Congress’ loyalties are.

You all have dumped your hard-wire landlines and now are addicted to Facebook and Twitter, where you get all your information and news! How convenient for the Controllers.

People are getting fired or relieved of their commands in the military for speaking out about the government’s denials of support in the crisis. That’s censorship. That’s propaganda. That’s authoritarianism, totalitarianism, the first step towards Big Brother becoming the next fascist dictator!

You are all addicted to your electronic devices, your smartphones but what will you do when some military genius or government officials ORDER THE CELL PHONE TOWERS deenergized? What will you do when they suspend communications by microwave transmission? You’ll race around in circles like a cornered rat, that’s what!!! You’re trapped in the booby trap set by your American freedoms, your greed, and your ignorance. Stupid sheeple!!!

OK. So you won’t believe us. Denial is very effective, isn’t it? But perhaps you’ll believe a well-respected physician, the editor-in-chief of a respected source for the medical profession. Here’s his recent editorial that appeared in the online medical journal for physicians, Medscape:

Topol: US Betrays Healthcare Workers in Coronavirus Disaster
Eric Topol, MD

March 30, 2020

Find the latest COVID-19 news and guidance in Medscape’s Coronavirus Resource Center.

The year 2020 started with American physicians, nurses, and the whole healthcare workforce dispirited, in a deep state of burnout, with the worst rates of clinical depression and suicides that have been recorded. Indeed, this was not confined to the United States; a global epidemic of burnout had been diagnosed. But things were about to get considerably worse for the healthcare workforce.

In December 2019 an epidemic of pneumonia, with many fatalities, erupted in Wuhan, China. The pathogen was sequenced and determined to be a novel coronavirus on January 5, 2020, and was subsequently named SARS-CoV-2. The first patient in the United States with COVID-19, the disease caused by SARS-CoV-2, was diagnosed in Seattle on January 21, which was within 24 hours of the first patient diagnosed in South Korea, a key country for comparison (Figure, adapted from Our World in Data).

Figure 1. Testing for COVID-19 in the United States and South Korea

The First Phase: “Silent” US Spread

Unlike South Korea, which quickly started testing for COVID-19 using the World Health Organization (WHO) test, the United States refused the WHO test, opting to develop its own through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). But the CDC test was ultimately found to be flawed and represents one of many government stumbles. Without an adequate test, there were nearly 50 days from the first patients in both countries before the United States started to ramp up testing. Why was this so critically important?

During this extended phase in the United States, there were countless numbers of patients presenting with pneumonia and respiratory tract symptoms to emergency rooms, urgent care centers, and doctors’ offices. Without the ability to make the diagnosis of COVID-19 or even suspect it, these patients unwittingly spread their infections to healthcare workers. Also, during this first phase of spread, there was likely — albeit still not yet validated — a high rate (approximately 30%) of asymptomatic carriers for COVID-19, which further amplified the chances for doctors and health professionals to be infected.

For the sake of comparison, during the month of February, South Korea performed more than 75,000 tests (versus just 352 in the United States) and adopted all of the WHO best practices, which includes massive testing, tracing every contact of a person infected and testing that person, quarantine of all known cases, and social distancing.

The United States did none of these. Instead, officials repeatedly made bad choices that put public health in jeopardy, along with the healthcare workers charged with caring for the public.

South Korea, meanwhile, got ahead of its outbreak and became a model in the world for how that was achieved. But it wasn’t just South Korea that reacted well. As Atul Gawande summarized, Singapore and Hong Kong also adopted all of the WHO practices, including providing protection for their healthcare workers. In both places, healthcare professionals were expected to wear surgical masks for all patient interactions. That practice turns out to foreshadow the second phase of failure in the United States.

The Second Phase: The War Without Ammo

Although Seattle is where the first cluster of cases occurred, it was the unchecked number of patients diagnosed in New York City in early March that led to the full realization of how ill-equipped the country is in terms of personal protective equipment (PPE), intensive care unit beds, and mechanical ventilators.

The dire, inexplicable lack of masks is well recapitulated by Farhad Manjoo in “How the World’s Richest Country Ran Out of a 75-Cent Face Mask”, and Megan Ranney, MD, MPH, and colleagues similarly describe the profound deficits in PPE and ventilators in a perspective published in the New England Journal of Medicine.

Together, a situation was set up for healthcare workers to not have masks — or to reuse them for days on end — and lack other protective gear. And this is about plain 75 cent masks, not the N95s that are better for blocking aerosol droplets.

But the required sharing of equipment is not just among doctors and nurses; it even extends to patients sharing a ventilator in some intensive care units. To put some numbers on ventilators, we will need several hundred thousand to a million but have fewer than 160,000 throughout the country.

It’s bad enough that the United States was totally unprepared for a pandemic and has such an unimaginable shortage of requisite resources. But the situation still gets worse. On a widespread basis, doctors and nurses are being gagged and muzzled by administrators for expressing their concerns, and penalized or even fired when they do speak out.

Meanwhile, the unconscionable lack of COVID-19 testing has continued in this second phase. And with that, systematic testing of the workforce has yet to start, despite being desperately needed.

The Third Phase: Healthcare Professionals Broadly Infected and Dying

Back in Wuhan, Li Wenliang, a 33-year-old ophthalmologist, was one, if not the first, doctor to alert people in China of the outbreak. He died on February 7, 2020. But he certainly wasn’t the youngest doctor to die in China. Xia Sisi, a 29-year-old gastroenterologist, also died after a 35-day hospitalization.

Yet on March 11, from the Oval Office, President Trump stated, “Young and healthy people can expect to recover fully and quickly.”

By late March more than 54 doctors in Italy had already died, and in the Lombardy region of northern Italy, one of the worst hit regions in the world, 20% of the healthcare workforce have become confirmed cases. Now, in the United States, as large numbers of healthcare professionals are getting diagnosed with COVID-19 in Boston, New York, and other hotspot cities, young doctors are writing their wills and making provisional funeral plans.

COVID-19 was not supposed to kill young people, but young nurses and doctors are dying in the United States. There are many theories as to why this is happening, perhaps the best one is the viral load — the mass of COVID-19 inoculum.

Because healthcare workers are exposed to the sickest patients — often without access to the proper protective equipment — the heavy viral load may be overwhelming even young clinicians’ ability to mount a sufficient immune response to counter the infection.

That doctors and clinicians are succumbing to the virus is beyond a tragedy, as many of these dedicated individuals are dying unnecessarily, as a result of the no-testing and no-PPE fiascoes.

Yet a far greater toll in numbers is the temporary loss of clinicians to infections and sickness. This is the other poorly recognized exponential growth curve: As each doctor, nurse, respiratory therapist, paramedic, and patient-care person takes care of tens to hundreds of patients at any given time, the loss of even one of these individuals has a dramatic ripple effect on the shortage of professionals trained to care for affected patients, no less the non-COVID-19 usual patient mix. No number of accelerated medical school graduations (which are being announced) can compensate for these losses, not just by numbers but also by experience.

The handling of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States will go down as the worst public health disaster in the history of the country. The loss of lives will make 9/11 and so many other catastrophes appear much smaller in their scale of devastation. Perhaps what we in the medical community will remember most is how our country betrayed us at the moment when our efforts were needed most.

Question: Why is it that the death toll in the United States now exceeds that in China, where the whole thing started? Why is it that South Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, were able to keep things under control but the United States cannot? Good ol’ American snobbery, poor planning, greed, and stupidity.

Instead of acting like a herd of cattle with mad cow disease (remember that one?), perhaps you should just sit down, meditate for a minute, collect your thoughts, clear your mind, and consider where the real problem lies, and how you’re going to face tomorrow, when this all clears up.

Think about how different you will be and how different the world will be for you post-COVID-19; sort of like the conditioning you received post-911? Is this another way of training you, conditioning you like Pavlov did with his dogs? Is that what you have become, a pack of trainable dogs? Now that’s something to be proud of, isn’t it?

Think about all of this next time you pledge allegiance to a flag; think about what you’re saying. Or have you forgotten completely how to THINK?

Think of it this way: What if you were the next one to fill a body bag. How would your survivors or your Senator explain your death to your terrified children? Think about that, won’t you?

So, enjoy your stockpile of toilet paper and paper towels. They’ll go well with that case of ketchup you’re hoarding. And wait for the next wave of fear and anxiety while you huddle in some dark corner, denying what’s going on around you.

Local Residents at Shop’n Save buying up toilet paper! How typical!

Christmas is Coming Early this Year: Crandall Interviews

The Crandall interviews were done yesterday evening, and will be published in three segments during the week of October 21-25, 2019. There’s a lot of great information in those interview questions, so the Smalbany blog want’s to get it out there in small doses. A short commentary on the interviews will be published in advance of the Interviews. Get the word out and send this link to all your friends and contacts: https://smalbanynewyork.wordpress.com/

Only Cowards Hide Behind Silence and Lies

George McHugh has avoided debating Phil Crandall on at least three occasions. Crandall stated his willingness and provided McHugh with dates for at least 3 debate opportunities. McHugh has gone into hiding. His thugs, calling themselves “Friends of Coeymans,” are taking care of spreading the fear and the false facts (read: lies).

George McHugh was invited at least three times to be interviewed to answer questions about his background, the judgeship he doesn’t seem to want to talk about, his connections with LaFarge, Carver Laraway, Billy Biers, the Ravena News Herald, Mark Vinciguerra, the State Racing Commission, how he allegedly got fired by Carver Laraway, etc., etc., but he has refused to be interviewed. We wanted to know why he has to misrepresent the facts and talk gibberish in his campaign. All McHugh and his thugs can do is make wild vague statements without presenting any real meat-and-potato facts. We have the documents and the facts already, all we want from McHugh is his statements on what we have, but he’s running scared.

McHugh’s version of transparency is about as clear as mud; the same stuff he and his friends like to sling instead of arguing with facts and truth.

Mudslinging: promoting lies and making accusations against the opposing party in order to make themselves look better.
The McHugh campaign strategy supported by the Coeymanazi Clowns, Friends of Coeymans.

If McHugh Won’t Answer Questions Now, Do You Think He’s Going be More Transparent, Open, and Accountable IF Elected? NOT!!!

Why is George McHugh so terrified of debating or interviewing?

We know why he’s so terrified of debating or interviewing. We have documents and facts to show that he’s a crook, a coward, and worse: a LIAR.

Wouldn’t it be great if liar’s did actually catch fire?

Zach Collins and Brandon Lefevre: Daddy McHugh’s got your Strings, Boys. Just Dance for Daddy!

So you think Georgie Boy is such a war hero? You think he’s God’s gift to Coeymans with his two young pups; “pups”.that’s short for PUPPETS. Georgie will be pulling their chains and their strings just like he’s doing now. They’re too young and gullible to see through his sneaky plan for them.

Zach Collins + Brandon Lefevre
Enjoy the dance, boys. Daddy McHugh will pull your strings.

For the Tanners and Driscoll-s, and the rest of the friendless and brainless who hang out on the Friends of Coeymans page, and can’t read between the lines of their propaganda, we’re providing you with a picture that you just might understand.

George McHugh and his thugs, Friends of Coeymans, are playing Coeymans voters like puppets on strings.  Dance little puppets! Dance!
Manipulating and controlling with threats and lies. Facebook has become Friends of McHugh’s weapon of mass destruction, and McHugh wants to make Coeymans Ground Zero!

Hey there! Georgie Boy! This song’s for you…

This is some really serious stuff so let’s start out with a little nostalgia, the 1966 hit song, “Hey there, Georgy Girl.” Of course we’ve adapted the lyrics for Georgy McHugh.

Georgie as Carmen Miranda singing “Hey there, Georgy Boy!”
We’d like to wish Georgy a Happy Pride Month!
(But Hey!,Isn’t that Georgy’s identical twin by a different mother, Chlamydia MuckHugh?)

Hey there, Georgy boy
Swinging down the street so fancy-free
Nobody you meet could ever see the loneliness there inside you
Hey there, Georgy boy
Why do all the boys just pass you by?
Could it be you just don’t try or is it the clothes you wear?

You’re always window shopping but never stopping to buy
So shed those dowdy feathers and fly a little bit

Hey there, Georgy boy
There’s another Georgy deep inside
Bring out all the shit you hide and, oh, what a change there’d be
The world would see a new Georgy girl

Hey there, Georgy boy
Dreaming of the someone you could be
Life is a reality, you can’t always run away
Don’t be so scared of changing and rearranging yourself
It’s time for jumping down from the shelf a little bit

Hey there, Georgy boy
There’s another Georgy deep inside
Bring out all the shit you hide and, oh, what a change there’d be
The world would see a new Georgy girl

(Hey there, Georgy boy)
Wake up, Georgy boy
(Hey there, Georgy boy)
Come on, Georgy boy
(Hey there, Georgy boy)
Wake up, Georgy girl

[Lyrics adapted from the 1966 movie of the same name. Set in London, the film is a comedy/romance starring Lynn Redgrave. We thought it really described Georgie McHugh.]

OK. Enough of the pleasantries, let’s get down to the dirt, the dirt that’s called George MuckHugh.

They’re not really dead, they’re just playing possum…fake dead.

A bit of advice to :  “You lie with a dog, you wake up with fleas,” or some other creeping pestilence. Your choice, your teamed up with two losers but then the saying goes: “Birds of a feather flock together.”

Or with George McHugh and his pet rats in your bed.

The Coeymans Comeback Team

There are just too many cozy relationships in Ravena and Coeymans, especially when it comes to George MuckHugh and his band of elves, Zach Collins, Brandon LeFevre, and George Langdon, who call themselves the “Coeymans Comeback Team.” They’re more like the “Coeymans Bareback Team,” and guess who’s going to be “bottom.”

The McHugh Deception Team. Hands in front of crotch body language means they feel vulnerable. Ever wonder?

When Dick Bleezarde died in 2008 and left the Ravena News Herald without leadership, McHugh rushed in to buy the local newspaper and cash in on “guiding” public opinion, and to ensure for himself a soapbox for his future. When McHugh soon thereafter sold the News Herald to the Columbia Greene Media group  (Johnson Newspaper Corporation as Columbia Greene Media). In 2018, Columbia Greene Media then sold the News Herald to Mark Vinciguerra, who previously ran Columbia Greene Media for about 5 years, and Vinciguerra created Capital Region Independent Media LLC, a publishing and consulting company owned by Vinciguerra, after having purchased the weekly Ravena News Herald newspaper from Johnson Newspaper Corporation. Now Vinciguerra is running the News Herald and George MuckHugh is running Vinciguerra. (See the article, “News Herald Moving Down the Road,” for details.)

Initially, the Ravena News Herald continued to occupy it’s long-time and familiar offices on Main Street in Ravena, a property actually owned by George McHugh, but then, in 2019, for some undisclosed reason, the Herald moved from there to McHugh’s former offices across the street in Ravena. Now when you drive or walk by the historic News Herald’s former location, you’ll see “Law Offices” and “George McHugh” plastered all over the storefront. How degrading!

So it’s no coincidence that McHugh is running full-page ads in the Ravena News Herald, now a McHugh whore — just another one in McHugh’s harem. Right, Bobby? [BL is one of McHugh’s disposables and knows a lot about him — Hate him she may but like so many cowards in the area BL is tight-lipped. Well, she’s tight-lipped for the moment but may burst any time now. And we’ll be there to publish all when the cat hits the fan! After being one of MuckHugh’s live-in girlfriends for a couple of years, we’re certain Bobby has some beans to spill.]

The bottom line is this: Given the close and cozy relationship between Mark Vinciguerra and McHugh, Vinciguerra’s landlord, we wouldn’t trust a word printed in the Ravena News Herald if McHugh’s mentioned in it. There’s nothing “independent” about  Mark Vinciguerra’s Capital Region Independent Media, the publisher of the Ravena News Herald. Make no mistake about that!

Making Eau de MuckHugh
The Comeback Team will create jobs.

Next Item: McHugh’s most recent full-page pile of steaming bullshit in the Ravena News Herald (Thursday, June 13, 2019). And it’s steaming bullshit at it’s most odiferous! You can’t avoid the stench. It’s Eau de MuckHugh.

The Coeymans Comeback Team’s Message to Voters.

First of all, the so-called “Coeymans Comeback Team,” is just that: a bunch of losers is coming back to have another shot at public office in Coeymans. McHugh got elected for two years back in 2000-2001, and finagled some deals and couldn’t get re-elected for a second term. Why should he have wanted to? He had purchased the Blaisdell farm property for his housing project and fixed it so that the property, formerly in the Town of Coeymans, would be annexed to the Village of Ravena so that he could get water for the project. McHugh takes care of McHugh. So now McHugh wants back in. He wants to get back into the Coeymans Town Supervisor’s office because he has deals to make, most probably with Carver Laraway and Carver Companies.

Even the Albany Times Union has picked up on this especially cozy relationship between Carver Laraway and George McHugh. You see, not only did McHugh pick up one of Carver Laraway’s ex-wives, McHugh worked until very recently as Laraway’s corporate counsel!

In the Times Union article, “Is Coeymans candidate too close to port owner?”, Times Union staff writer, Lauren Stanforth, writes:

“How a voter in this mostly rural Albany County town feels about the candidacy of attorney and realtor George McHugh likely depends on how the voter feels about the ever-expanding reach of the Port of Coeymans and its owner, Carver Laraway.

“That’s because McHugh isn’t just the former general counsel for Carver Companies, a job he said he resigned from March 1. He’s also a realtor representing a Carver warehouse at another port location in South Carolina. His son runs the Carver port in South Carolina. And McHugh was last year on the board of managers of a Carver limited liability company that dealt in commodities, according to research by the Times Union.”

Carver Laraway doesn’t have a very clean record: His company was fined $10,000 in January 2019 by the state Department of Environmental Conservation for allegedly using potentially tainted construction and demolition debris to fill in and expand the port. Laraway has also launched a campaign to purchase properties in the Coeymans Hamlet and elsewhere, most of which he determined couldn’t be saved and were torn down, according to the Times Union report. Bye-bye tax base for Coeymans. Thank you George McHugh!

The report also notes that the most vocal critics of Carver Laraway’s operations worry about Laraway’s plans for their small town, and fear the election of McHugh would give those business interests free rein. That’s not science fiction, people, that’s how Carver Laraway and his pet George McHugh operate. Oh, did we mention that Michael Biscone, the fat shyster crook is now working for Carver  Laraway. Now if that isn’t a read den of thieves we don’t know what would be!

Port of Coeymans owner Carver Laraway seen outside a house at Church and Fifth streets in Coeymans on Jan. 13. 2016 that he purchased from a bank for $20,000. Laraway said it’s part of his vision to help rehabilitate the withering historic hamlet. However, the house had since been demolished in 2019. (Lauren Stanforth, Times Union)

(Read the entire TU article at McHugh too Close to Carver Laraway)

There’s a lot to say about McHugh’s being in bed with Carver Laraway but you can google the dirt yourself. It all in the Times Union and other news media.

Back to the dumbass “Coeymans Comeback Team”:

If it isn’t obvious that their slogan, “Take Back our Town and Get the Coeymans Comeback Started,” means that the only one’s we’ll need to take the Town back from is Carver Laraway and his bosom buddy, Georg McHugh and McHugh’s band of monkeys, George Langdon, Brandon LeFebvre and Zach Collins. Think of it this way: You lie down with dogs and you wake up with fleas.

But let’s take a closer look at what McHugh and his pet rats are offering to do with their “Comeback Plan”:

1. Revitalize the town by attracting businesses through less government regulation and lower taxes.

Our Reaction.

Let’s be really real. You attract businesses by giving them tax breaks or some other incentive. So the lower taxes will have to be for the businesses in the form of tax breaks. That means someone else is going to have to foot the bill. Guess who?

As far as McHugh’s ability to make good on “less government regulation” that’s a load of steaming sewerage, too. The Town Supervisor has absolutely no power to work anything with government regulation. Period. Government regulation comes from state and federal laws. Period. Not from McHugh or any other local yokel. So that vaporizes No. ! of the Comeback Plan. It’s total misinformation and  your’re the target of the lies.

2. Support important quality of life initiatives including redirection of heavy trucks form Main Street, and expansion of services for youths and seniors.

Your Reaction.

If Mr. McHugh is so concerned about quality of life initiatives, why did he oppose the Coeymans Clean Air Law?  Answer: LaFarge and Carver Companies didn’t like it. Isn’t clean air a part of our quality of life? McHugh was corporate counsel to Carver Laraway when he was allegedly dumping contaminated fill at the Coeymans Port. Where was McHugh on quality of life initiatives then?

Again, the Albany Times Union comes forward with the story that connects McHugh, LaFargeHolcim and Carver Laraway with McHugh’s opposition to the Clean Air Law supported by current town supervisor, Phil Crandall:

“LafargeHolcim, owners of a cement plant on Route 9W in Coeymans, are urging defeat of a proposed town law that could prevent the firm from burning waste tires as part of the making of cement.

“COEYMANS — A cement company interested in burning old tires as fuel in its Route 9W kiln is moving against a proposed town air pollution law that could bar the practice.

“Meanwhile, the former lawyer for Carver Laraway, the owner of the Port of Coeymans, has launched a bid for town office. And one of Laraway’s companies is in the midst of a three year state contract in the waste tire business.”

Wonder why you didn’t read a word of this in McHugh’s whore, the Ravena News Herald? Ask Mark Vinciguerra why? Better still, ask McHugh’s Comeback Team.

Read the entire article by Times Union reporter Paul Buckowski at  “Proposed town pollution law draws cement plant challenge.”

Editor’s Aside: The DEC is a pack of whores, too. Here Carver Laraway is allegedly dumping contaminated fill at the Coeymans Port and he gets slapped with a mere $10,000 fine. That’s pocket change for a guy who connives with Cuomo-the-Homo for state contracts. But the DEC has gone against local businesses for practically nothing and almost ruins them for practically nothing. That’s New York justice for you! Corrupt as always.

What’s more, the NY State of New York Department of Transportation is the authority for state-owned highways, even if they do run through Coeymans and Ravena, as does Rt 143 (Main St.). The Town and the Village have no authority to redirect traffic on state-owned roads without a long and likely unsuccessful battle in the courts, because everyone, including heavy trucks, have a right to use state highways! McHugh is talking through his anus! But some things never change.

Furthermore, where will McHugh “redirect” the heavy trucks from Main Street? There’s nowhere for Carver’s huge trucks to go!!! Unless, of course, Carver has a new Thruway plaza (entrance and exit) or an arterial in mind. Well, that won’t reduce traffic, that’s for sure. But it will be good for Carver and McHugh. We wonder if that’s not the reason the land deal with the County of Albany fell through on McHugh’s watch.

Luckily for the area, the deal fell through when McHugh dropped the ball and the bomb and offered a number of idiotic excuses why the deal didn’t go through. McHugh is a veteran pimp and experienced whore for Carver Laraway. Laraway wanted to create another Carver theme park right under our noses by building another “industrial park”  that would have increased heavy traffic and destroyed our environment. There was something very fishy about the deal, too, when you think that it was right in the middle of federally protected wetlands. Where was the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation [DEC]  when all of this was going on? Why weren’t they all over this deal while it was threatening “protected” wetlands?  Well, the DEC was right in Carver Laraway’s back pocket, right there with Cuomo-the-Homo. (Read the entire article in the Times Union piece by reporter Amada Fries, “Coeymans property sale for Albany scuttled.“)

Any expansion of services for youths and seniors would cost money. New businesses won’t come to Coeymans without promises of tax breaks. That leaves the question, unanswered by McHugh and his monkeys, of where the money for the expansion of these services will come? From the welfare cases lounging on the porches? Probably not. From the trailer trash and trailer park druggies? Definitely not. We can guess where the money’s going to come from but we’d like to hear from McHugh or one of his pet rats. Where’s the money going to come from, Georgie?

Of course, there’s money that might be available from the county, the state, the feds, but someone’s got to write the grant applications and that takes money, too.

So, we guess that we’ve shot down McHugh’s “Comeback Team” plan No. 2.

Our interpretation of the Comeback Team’s basic message.

3. Improve town government through consolidation and regionalization to benefit the residents and taxpayers of Coeymans, and update Comprehensive Plan to allow for new investment.

Everyone’s Reaction.

First of all, what does McHugh expect to consolidate? Services? Town departments? There’s nothing to consolidate. A big word that means nothing!!!

And “regionalization.” Another lawyer-word that means nothing to Coeymans.

But wait a minute. Regionalization can mean two things: the tendency to form decentralized regions, but that doesn’t make much sense in a small town like Coeymans. But maybe the second definitions of regionalization does: land classification or land RE-classification. Does McHugh propose to reclassify land in the Town of Coeymans? And if so, does that plan have something to do with his cozy relationship with his friend and bedfellow, Carver Laraway and his empire plans?

If that’s the case, how, we wonder, will that possibly benefit Coeymans taxpayers? Which taxpayers? The “new businesses” and investors who have been attracted by paying little or no taxes or can McHugh mean those rest of us holding the bag to support local services and the inflated RCS Central School District budget.

The Coeymans Comprehensive Plan is already being updated — you’d know that if you were paying attention, Mr McHugh and your “Comeback Team” — so why does it have to be re-updated? Perhaps to accommodate some of McHugh’s plans for “new businesses,” expansion of Carver Laraway’s empire, increase of McHugh’s own empire in the Town of Coeymans.

McHugh’s “Comeback Team” plan No. 3 is just as scary, unclear, and shady as Nos. 1 and 2, and it seems all three are aimed at doing the same thing: enriching the few and impoverishing the Coeymans taxpayer!

4. Oppose an unfair reassessment of property that will result in higher taxes.

Now that’s the one that really makes us want to upchuck, that is, to puke!

Properties have to be reassessed on a somewhat regular basis.  If that were not the case, we’d be paying taxes on property that was valued at 1950s values. That simply doesn’t make sense. You make more, your property increases in value, you want better roads, better schools, more services, you have to pay for those things. If you get something for your tax dollars, there’s nothing unfair about it.

BUT: Here’s the problem with McHugh’s plan: the only unfair reassessment of property might be the reassessment of Carver Laraway’s property, or any property that McHugh has his eye on for development. Now, any reassessment of Carver’s or McHugh’s property would be, in their opinions, unfair. But they’re not thinking of you.

Furthermore, McHugh isn’t telling us that for the most part, taxes are not controlled by local authorities but by state and federal authorities. McHugh, who wants to be supervisor, is talking bullshit again, still. The Town Supervisor may be chief financial officer for the town, that’s true, but he has to come up with the money to support the Town Budget, or cut services, etc. He doesn’t control one of the biggest gluttons in the area: the school budget!

Property assessment is governed and regulated by New York State laws and enforced by the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance, Real Property Services, NOT by the Town Supervisor.

So, Mr. McHugh might want to explain how he is going to do anything at all about any assessment of property, especially given the fact that he has no control over the operations of the Office of the Town Assessor! Sure, he can “oppose” anything he wants to oppose but the supervisor has no power or authority to control or regulate assessments! That’s again a load of McHugh bullshit foisted upon would be supporters.

What will result in higher taxes is shifting the tax burden from Carver Laraway, George McHugh, Michael Biscone, and the other parasites in the Town of Coeymans, and from any “new businesses” or investors, shifting the tax burden from them to YOU!

Read what McHugh is feeding you and think about it for a minute and see through the lies and deceptions.

MuckHugh’s Team will crash and burn!
