High Marks for the RCS Community Library

The RCS Community Library under the direction of Judith Wines is doing a pretty fantastic job of getting some really interesting programs out to the community. In fact, when requested, we published the public information on an unusual but apparently very interesting and needed program that’s found a home at the RCS Community Library, Thanatology Café, a program that offers the opportunity to talk about death, dying, grief, mourning and death-related subjects.

We’ve read a pretty nice post on the Thanatology Café blog that is complimentary of the RCS Community Library and it’s staff, and we really think RCS should take note of the fine work the RCS Community Library is doing for the community.

Our more than 300,000 readers know well that we have no qualms about being outspoken when it comes to our community and the Ravena News Herald, but truth be told the Ravena News Herald and editor Melanie Lekocevic apparently have been generously supportive of the library and the Thanatology Café program, if our observations are correct. Fair is fair and when the News Herald is on the up and up, we want to be the first to say Nice job! Thank you!

BUT…

Churches, Funeral Homes, First Responders

Churches, Funeral Homes, First Responders

We do have some disturbing information though and we have verified it factually. Here we have an innovative program, Thanatology Café, sponsored by a reputable and highly-respected community organization, the RCS Community Library, and even getting the support of the Ravena News Herald but WTF!!!!! We have information that about 100 information packets were sent out to local churches and public service organizations, including fire departments, EMS, first responders, and police departments, including the Coeymans fire and rescue squad, the Ravena Hose Company, and the Coeymans Police Department, just to name a few, and it appears none of those organizations responded.

Local churches have their hands out for stipends whenever a local dies but almost every church in the area does not offer a bereavement education, a death awareness, or death education program…

no handoutsWhat’s even worse is that the organizers (for the record the RCS Community Library hosts the program but does not organize it) invited local churches and pastors to announce the program and to post the attractive flyers to inform their congregations of the availability of the thanatology program, yet, according to the spokesperson for Thanatology Café, not a single one responded and there is no evidence that anyone from any of the local RCS churches bothered to attend the inaugural event. That does seem a bit strange to us and we’d like to hear from members of the congregations of local churches whether they even heard about the program from their so-called pastors. We find that strange because local churches have their hands out for stipends whenever a local dies but almost every church in the area does not offer a bereavement education, a death awareness, or death education program. We would think they’d jump at the opportunity to learn more about the program from the get go!

Why didn’t the local death businesses — Babcock Funeral Home, A.J. Cunningham Funeral Homes, W.C. Brady’s Sons Funeral Home respond?

death-its-a-livingAnd you’d think that the local businesses that make a bundle of money from local deaths, Babcock Funeral Home and A.J. Cunningham Funeral Homes, both right down the street from the library, would seize the unique opportunity to join in the death education opportunities offered by a program like Thanatology Café but apparently Sharon Babcock and the A.J. Cunningham staff had better things to do than join in a community educational program. We’ll be keeping an eye on our local death industry, you can be assured of that. Both Babcock Funeral Home and A.J. Cunningham Funeral Homes were provided with special packets along with W.C. Brady’s Sons Funeral Home (Coxsackie) and several other regional funeral homes were provided with special packets and invitations. We have the documents and we have the questions, too, Why didn’t the local death businesses respond?

People are more aware, more interested and willing to discuss the subject, the options and the choices…death and dying, living wills, advance directives, and funeral and memorial options

We’ve done the online research and find that Death Cafes, Death Salons, discussion groups about death and dying, hospice and palliative care organizations, healthcare organizations, special interest groups dealing with infant death, suicide, traumatic death, etc. are thriving and growing because people are more aware, more interested and willing to discuss the subject, the options and the choices, and are not waiting til the last minute to learn as much as they can about death and dying, living wills, advance directives, and funeral and memorial options.

Are they scared that Thanatolgy Café might rock their comfy little boats…get people to ask the important questions?

Can our churches, first responders, funeral homes be so petty as to get involved in small-minded turf wars at your expense?

Petty, stupid turf wars?

Petty, stupid turf wars?

So we’re getting interested now, too, but especially why local churches, who are constantly preaching about death and whatnot, and local first responders and rescue squads, who frequently have to deal with death, and in particular, why the three main death businesses, Babcock Funeral Home, A.J. Cunningham Funeral Homes, and W.C. Brady’s Sons Funeral Home are so silent when an important program comes to the area. Are they scared that Thanatolgy Café might rock their comfy little boats, stir up some good and reliable information in the community, get people to ask the important questions? Maybe. We have learned that the Thanatology Café program will be providing a lot of information on pre-arrangements, available options and choices, how to go about creating your living will or Advance directive, funeral and memorial choices and recommendations, and much, much more. Stuff you need to know no matter what your age and information you’re not likely to get anywhere else.

we know where your head isDon’t you think you’d be getting a better deal from church, rescue squad, senior center and funeral home if they were better informed about death, dying, surviving, and the choices and options you should have? Can our churches and so-called pastors, our community funded first responders, local funeral homes, who cash in on the community’s ignorance and lack of information, be so petty as to get involved in small-minded turf wars at your expense? Looks like it. But keeping their heads tucked up a dark, wet spot won’t do them any good. Let’s hear from them. Let’s hear from our readers.

Town of Coeymans and Town of New Baltimore

Town of Coeymans and
Town of New Baltimore

Town of Coeymans

No, we haven’t gone AWOL on our watch. We’re working on a story about how the Phil Crandall/Youmans/Dolan mob are screwing town of Coeymans taxpayers. Didn’t we hear Phil Crandall say something about cutting the costs of local government, blah, blah, blah?

Well, apparently disgraced former village justice Phil Crandall, Psycho-bully Youmans and Dithering-Tom Dolan don’t think that cost containment applies to their cronies they imported when they took office. We’re talking specifically about the alleged overtime Crandall’s administrative clerk Nita Chmielewski is collecting hand-over-fist. It seems that old Nita is incompetent and doesn’t know what she’s doing — as if she ever did; nothing seems to change in the in-crowd in Coeymans — and she’s collecting a bundle for her incompetence and ignorance. Wonder if Mr Crandall, Mr Youmans or Mr Dolan can explain why their cronies get the overtime, while the Coeymans Police Department is consistently saving on costs, economizing, and coming in under budget under the professional supervision of a competent chief?

A contributor has demanded the production of certain documents that will prove the corruption in Coeymans town hall and the hypocrisy of Mr Crandall and his cronies

Stay tuned for the fireworks!

Town of New Baltimore

There’s word out that something’s cooking in New Baltimore about the New Baltimore Supervisor of Highways and the Highways Department and indifference, negligence and dereliction of duty and responsibility.

Thanks to the double-dealing of the Greene County Independence Party Committee chairman George Ackerman and co-chairperson, Irene Beede, and their mismanagement of a very worthy candidate, Mr Alan vanWormer in the elections last November, Denis Jordan was re-elected by a single — Yes! 1 vote! — and despite the known corruption, crookedness, incompetence and ignorance that is the hallmark of his department, he didn’t go to jail but kept his office. But that’s New Baltimore and screwy-Louie politics run by incompetent political committees.

Do you actually think YOU elect these bozos?

We have information that a pretty big law suit is in the brewing that will be brought against the town of New Baltimore, the New Baltimore Highway Department and Denis Jordan for incompetence, negligence, and indifference by dereliction of duty and violation of applicable state laws. Seems Jordan’s friends get all the highway department services while others get the finger, and can watch their property values collapse because of poor road and drainage maintenance.

A collaborator is getting the information together and talking to the aggrieved parties and we’ll be the first to release the information.

One crook is going to cost an entire town a bundle. Go figure!

How long do we have to wait? Official or Unofficial?

It’s 12:00 noon on Friday the 13th, ten (10) days after the Greene County Elections, and the morons at the Greene County Board of Elections STILL HAVEN’T POSTED THE FINAL RESULTS OF THE NOVEMBER 3RD ELECTIONS. THE LINK TO THE “OFFICIAL” RESULTS STILL SHOWS “UNOFFICIAL” RESULTS. WAKE UP GUYS!

WE WANT TO KNOW NOW!!!

So far, SILENCE!

So far, SILENCE!

Today, on Veterans Day, we claim to be celebrating the men and women still among us who served to preserve our dignity, rights, and freedoms. What “dignity”? What “rights”? What “freedoms”? Today, on Veterans Day, we slap our veterans in the face and kick them in the ass! Let’s ask our elected officials and politicians Why? that is!

A “Commander-in-Chief” who talks big about “We’ll keep fighting” but who has never served. Politicians who collect the money and get the benefits but can’t stick to the real issues. Media that sells ratings rather than inform us. We’ve forgotten what it is to be a real hero because we get fed a “hero-a-day”!

She Weeps for Us!

She Weeps for Us!

A week after the elections and we still don’t know the final results! Absentee ballots are not yet counted!!!

If the craziness and nastiness of election campaigns and the anxiety centering on the questionable results of local elections were not enough, our paid officials can’t even get their announcements right. It’s no wonder people don’t vote. But how can this country criticize other nations’ voting practices when our own is in such a sorry state?

For example, It’s now a week after the November 3, elections, and the final results are not posted (absentee ballots are STILL not counted).

The Greene County Board of Elections, Marie Metzler  (mmetzler@discovergreene.com) and Brent Bogardus (bbogardus@discovergreene.com), commissioners, can’t even decide whether the results on the Greene County Board of Elections website are “Official” or “Unofficial”. Who would think to look on the Green County Employee Info page for the November 3, 2015, “Official”/”Unofficial” election results, anyway. And they don’t tell us when the results, official or unofficial, will be final.

The Greene County Board of Elections page link reads: “Official Election Results/November 3, 2015” but the link goes to “Unofficial” results and those unofficial results are on the “greeneemployeeinfo” page. Go figure! And we trust those guys with running our elections?

When will they decide? Official or Unofficial?

When will they decide? Official or Unofficial?

And we mentioned last week that we expected the Albany County Board of Elections to be dragging their feet. Commissioners Matthew J. Clyne (D) and Rachel L. Bledi (R) don’t bother to provide their e-mail addresses. Do you think they’re interested in hearing from you about the outrageous delay in getting absentee ballots counted and the final results out? Coeymans will have to wait until after November 13, 2015, to learn the results. (Well, the good news is you still have time to leave town!) By the way, that’s Friday the 13th. Does that give the results away?

Albany will Count the Coeymans Absentee Ballots on Friday the 13th!

Albany will Count the Coeymans Absentee Ballots on Friday the 13th!

What’s the delay?!?!

We know Albany County is a Democrap sumphole and is run by a bunch of political machine backroom cronies, but really, do they actually need 10 days to count and tally absentee ballots? Where are we anyway? In Afghanistan?

Our Board of Elections will Let Us Know our Fate on Friday the 13th.

Our Board of Elections will Let Us Know our Fate
on Friday the 13th.

Be Afraid. Be VERY Afraid!
But there’s still time to leave town, people!

Democrap Swindle: Dan McCoy, Craig Apple, Tom Dolan do the Democrap Thing.

Dan McCoy, Albany County Executive seeking re-election on the democrap ticket this November, has to be dumb as dirt if he thinks he’s going to get any political capital by playing a shell game AGAIN with the residents and taxpayers of the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk community. If the Ravena News Herald front-page story (September 10, 2015) on the democrap conspiracy to provide Ravena youth with a place to go to stay out of trouble is to be believed it’s UNBELIEVABLE.

scam scam scam

The Scams Victimizing Ravena-Coeymans Never Seem to Stop!
And they always seem to be “for the kids.”

Dan McCoy, Craig Apple Playing Democrap Joke on Ravena-Coeymans and Albany County Taxpayers!

Do you all have to be reminded that you are paying Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk school taxes to support a school budget of more than $40 million? Isn’t that where the kids are supposed to be provided (1) with education, (2) with supervised extracurricular and after-school activities such as sports and field trips, (3) with academic help like tutoring and homework assistance? If Mr McCoy, Mr Apple, Mr Dolan, and Mr John D’Antonio could put together a whole brain among their four empty heads, and if they had any clue as to what has been going on in the Ravena Coeymans-Selkirk community in the past 2-3 years, they’d stay far, far away from it, especially in an election year. But they’re too brainless, clueless to do that. They’re blinded by their uncontrollable egos and indifference to the real needs of their communities.

If you don’t remember what happened to two — count them TWO — previous youth and teen activity centers that were driven out of town by village trustee Nancy Warner, insider Cathy Deluca, Jerry “Dirty-Hands” Deluca (now executive director of the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs) after a [forced] retirement from the Coeymans Police Department, former Coeymans Police Chief Gregory “Dumpy-Dumplin” Darlington, former mummy mayor John Bruno, let us remind you how village of Ravena and town of Coeymans elected officials and corrupt police department employees (Deluca and Darlington), obstructed justice, violated protected civil rights, harassed and persecuted the teen center until kids and parents were driven away. Of course, the teen center was attracting teens and youth who would otherwise be on the street. The teen center also was potential competition for the now defunct and dismantled Ravena Health and Fitness Center that Nancy Warner and Cathy Deluca, with the collaboration and support of former mummy mayor John Bruno and the ex-Coeymans cops Jerry Dirty-Hands Deluca and Gregory “Dumpy-Dumplin” Darlington (former police chief now part-time school bus driver), unlawfully created and turned over to Dirty-Hands Jerry Deluca’s partner, Cathy Deluca, whose fraudulent civil service application was unlawfully considered and approved by a now resigned director of Albany County Civil Service.

How is it possible?  and Who? is behind this new initiative to all of a sudden take care of Ravena’s youth and teens; the very youth and teens who are an almost extinct species in Ravena and Coeymans, thanks in part to misinformation, corruption, abuse of public office, and downright nastiness?

Why do all these corrupt schemes seem to land in Ravena?

Why do all these corrupt schemes seem to land in Ravena?

While Dan McCoy and Tom Dolan promise that the proposed youth center, which is to be housed in the same space as the former now defunct Ravena Health and Fitness Center (the third failure chalked up to Cathy Deluca’s corruption and mismanagement), now that all the junk equipment has been sold (Let’s see…Warner and Deluca paid Robert “Bob” Fisk, another Ravena insider, more than $40,000 for that equipment. Warner and Deluca kept the RHFC open for more than two years while it was hemorrhaging taxpayer dollars to the tune of more than $100,000 each year! So what’s the final cost of these brainiac ideas to local taxpayers? Why not ask Ravena Mayor William “Mouse” Misuraca, who strangely was unavailable (as a Republican) to appear among the shark mob of democrats McCoy, Apple, Dolan, etc.)

Do we really need to pay for duplications of effort AGAIN?

Look, RCS taxpayers are paying a bundle for the services that will be literally duplicated by this idiotic so-called “youth programming initiative” for Ravena and Coeymans. We have a school budget that is supposed to be doing most of what Moron McCoy, Rotten Apple, Dudley-Dolan and Dopey-D’Antonio are pushing! In fact, didn’t we recently vote on a capital improvement proposal for the athletic facilities for the RCS school district to the tune of several millions of dollars? We have an RCS Sports Association. What are they doing for youth? We have a Coeymans Police Youth Athletic organization. We have an almost competition swimming pool! Do we really need to pay for duplications of effort AGAIN?

Why Ravena-Coeymans? What’s the catch? There’s got to be a catch. Or is it just that the democraps are scared shiteless that their cronies are going to get the boot in November?

This sounds like another scam that’s taking the RCS community for another ride down Stupid Lane. If you fall for this one like you’ve fallen for all the other scams from Reubenville to the Ravena Health and Fitness failure, you really should be sent down the river for mental treatments.

If the county of Albany and Mr McCoy, Mr Apple and Mr D’Antonio have so much change jingling in their pockets, there are much more needy communities and organizations that need those taxpayer dollars. We intend to contact those organizations and let them know what kind of scandalous scam is going on in Ravena-Coeymans, and we’ll let them ask Mr McCoy, Mr Apple and Mr D’Antonio what is going on in their empty democrap heads.

sleezebag

McCoy, Apple, Dolan

As for Ravena-Coeymans we have this to say: Utilize your school facilities fully. Use your RCS Commuity Library fully. Use your churches fully. Use your extracurricular activities and after-school support activities fully. Use your local sports associations fully. And parents, spend some time with your kids for a change. Try being parents.

Mr McCoy, Mr Apple, Mr D’Antonio, Mr Dolan: We’re not finished with you slugs yet. We have more to say about you leeches in an upcoming article. This latest scam you’re trying to feed our friends and neighbors is a declaration of election year war. Let the games begin!

Local and Regional Politicians are using and abusing our children as fodder for their inflated egos; these politicians are using our children as tools to manipulate parents and adults into supporting their freakish games. STOP it!

The Ravena News Herald was once a family-owned, community newspaper; George McHugh, a local attorney who was rewarded for his politics with a judgeship, sold out to the Johnson Newspaper Group. The Ravena News Herald in now a corporate rag being used by its owners, John B. Johnson and the Johnson Newspaper Group, to promote their politics and their agendas. The Ravena News Herald is no longer YOUR community newspaper, it’s THEIRS to use to bait you with your local faces and then to force feed you THEIR politics. You are being manipulated to the max. WAKE UP RCS!

Stop using and abusing our kids for your political games! It's not for the kids, Jerky Boys, it's for YOU! The Editor

BARKING DOG NUISSANCE: New Balimore Nat’l Historic District

burglarALERT: For the past several months there have been a number of break-ins and burglaries in the Coeymans area. A couple of months ago we reported on the hush-hush burglaries of a local insurance agent’s office and a local auto supply store along the 9W. Just recently a local property was broken into and several thousands of dollars in property damage caused, and copper fittings ripped out of the property, and later sold at a scrap dealer’s. Coeymans police are allegedly investigating. Now we have a number of daytime break-ins that are occurring along Rt 144. Bethlehem and Coeymans police are allegedly investigating. But it’s all hush-hush again. No information is being shared with local residents so that they can take steps to protect themselves and their property! Why aren’t we being informed of this new crime wave in our community? Ask your town board members or the local police.

Our feature article:

Update: Since we published the article below on August 24, 2015, the National Historic District appeared to have become eerily quiet; Krug’s dog was not outside barking all day long (but we do hear muffled barking from inside the house but maybe that’s Bonnie Krug). Could it be that the message has finally hit home? Didn’t last long. The New Baltimore Bankrobber and his moll’s dog is again serenading the National Historic District! Thanks for all your help Mr Dellisanti and Mr Ruso! Is Mr Tanner looking for another job yet? Come next elections we’ll know who’s looking for new jobs.

Is the barking dog in the middle of the National Historic District driving local residents Crazy? YES!

Is the New Baltimore Animal Control Officer, Mr. Joseph Tanner, incapable of correcting the nuissance? He doesn’t seem able to do the job; he holds a full-time job that keeps him busy during the day, so how can he possibly do the job of animal control officer?. He can’t!

Is the New Baltimore board member heading the New Baltimore Animal Control Committee, Mr Jeff Ruso, up to the job of supervising Mr Tanner and getting the owners of the dog to control their animal? NO!

Is it time for local residents to compel the owners of the dog to be good neighbors and responsible custodians of the animal? YES!

New Baltimore residents in the National Historic District want help!

New Baltimore residents in the National Historic District want help!

For several YEARS now, New Baltimore residents living in the National Historic District along Main Street, Madison Avenue East/New Street, and Washington Avenue have been subjected to a barking dog owned by Bonnie and Bob Krug. The Krugs have been approached by neighbors in a friendly way on a number of occasions to do something about the barking, but the Krugs refuse. It appears that they are a very angry couple and their attitude of GFY! is their way of punishing their neighbors. For what? Because they’re two pitifully unhappy souls (maybe they should pair up with Joan and Bob R.).

One neighbor approached them on a number of occasions as was told he was trespassing, when the neighbor attempted to chat with the Krugs. Bob Krug later addressed a rambling diatribe of inane and insane palaver to the neighbor, threatening the neighbor with trespass if the neighbor attempted to contact the Krugs.

Krug: You makin' my dog bark?

Krug: You makin’ my dog bark?

The Sheriff’s department deputies refuse to enforce what they call a local law, that is, the animal control law, and refer vexed neighbors to the town of New Baltimore, specifically the animal control officer, Mr Joseph Tanner. Like that is going to accomplish anything?

Incompetent, indifferent, or both!

Another neighbor, when asked about the problem just rolled his eyes and said, “They’re a problem.” Another neighbor commented that the Krugs “Need to get daycare for the dog.” So where’s the town of New Baltimore on this issue of enforcing public order and their animal control law? Incompetent, indifferent, or both!

Keeping the Barking Under Control

In a perfect world, dog owners would avoid allowing their animal to do the things that can grate on their neighbor’s nerves, but New Baltimore is far, very far from a friendly community and certainly this is not a perfect world. Barking is one of those behavioral things that you want to keep under control not only because it’s a real nuissance but because it can land you in court. But the Krugs apparently don’t give a shite. But if you’re late with your dog license update, the Town is quick to double the fee with a late charge! But when there are residents keeping a dog that barks from morning to night, and the town elected officials and employees have to move their asses? Nothing!Go figure.

National Historic District Residents have to listen to the animal’s rants for hours on end, even on Sunday mornings. The Town of New Baltimore has been notified on a number of occasions but they don’t seem to be able to get a handle on the situation. The New Baltimore animal control officer, Mr Joseph Tanner, who is being paid several thousands of dollars a year to do a job he doesn’t seem to be able to fit in. Maybe he just cant get the dog or the Krugs to put together a barking schedule he can coordinate with his other job?  Maybe it’s because he works the other full-time job and can’t seem to get away when needed to earn his animal control officer’s pay? Either way, the Town of New Baltimore doesn’t seem up to the challenge of getting the Krugs to control their dog, and that’s adversely affecting the quality of life in the National Historic District. And that’s just not right!

But the Krugs are bad news right from the start, and jailhouse lawyer Bob Krug can tie up a court and a municipality forever with his lunatic tactics and crazy-ass claims. He’s not short on fantasy facts and outright fabrications, either; not bad for a dude who claimed to have stage four metastatic brain cancer more than a decade ago, and soaked up the court’s sympathy to get special treatment. Maybe it’s Krug’s embalmed mummy we see stalking his property and approaching any car that might stop opposite his property but he certainly has mad a miraculous recovery from his otherwise fatal condition.

Krug claimed he had a bomb that could be detonated by remote control…

On September 22, 2009, Robert Krug pleaded guilty to attempted robbery in the third degree, attempted robbery in the first degree, and criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree arising from the attempted robbery of the HSBC Bank on Second Avenue in Troy on June 6, 2001. According to court documents, Robert Krug rented a pickup truck from the Budget Car Rental agency shortly before the attempted bank robbery. The vehicle was found in Cohoes, New York, and had in it a package that resembled a bomb. The New York State Police Bomb Squad discovered that the package consisted of three road flares with an attached timer. (The letter provided to the bank teller indicated that Krug had a bomb that could be detonated by remote control. Why Re-Elect Them If They Can’t Even Get a Nat’l Historic District Resident to Control their Barking Dog?

Yes, Mr Ruso. Yes, Mr Tanner. We know. You are the law in New Baltimore.

Yes, Mr Ruso. Yes, Mr Tanner. We know. You are the law in New Baltimore.

And that’s a very legitimate question, neighbors. If the elected officials on the town of New Baltimore town board can’t get their act together enough to get two maverick residents to control their barking dog, what exactly are those same elected officials doing, anyway? If there is a town board member who is in charge of the animal control committee, Mr Jeff Ruso, what exactly is he doing to improve this situation? If Mr Ruso is in charge of the animal control committee, why hasn’t he demanded that Mr Joseph Tanner either get the situation under control and do his job or resign? Those are some pretty damned good questions we should be asking given the fact that they’re up for re-election or soon will be. What exactly are they doing, anyway?

Lucky for New Baltimore National Historic District residents, this blog is now involved. Luckily for you, Smalbany can help. We are your one-stop-shop for reliable town and village incompetence solutions.

Stay tuned for our next article: We will be discussing Mr Denis Jordan’s refusal to own up to his allegedly illegal “contracts” made with certain friends of his for purchasing supplies without going through the bidding process. Why is he refusing to appear before the board to explain what he is doing with taxpayer money. Why is some character showing up “representing him” as his attorney appearing instead. Why does Jordan feel he needs an attorney to appear for him? Well, the “attorney” is a former New Baltimore appointee to one of administrative boards (planning or zoning) but she couldn’t handle the job and resigned. She’s a friend of Diane Lewis — Does that surprise you? So she’s ready to jump right in at Lewis’s beck and call to defend democrap Denis Jordan now that he’s in hot water and in a battle to keep his job. Denis Jordan was elected by us and is answerable to us and to our elected board members. How dare he refuse to explain what’s going on in the New Baltimore Highway Department! How dare he send some bimbo to tell the board she’s answering for him. Time for that major pothole Denis Jordan to go away…maybe down 9W for some correction. Stay tuned. We’ll provide the dirty details in an upcoming article.

RCS Communities Mourn a Special Son

On July 20, 2015, suddenly, unexpectedly a special son of the RCS community for more than 75 years was summoned home; a colorful, memorable, well-liked, loved and respected member of the RCS community, Rodney A. Krzykowski, died but he left an American legacy and true meaning for those of us who are still able to know the American pioneer spirit when we see it. Rodney will be truly missed by many of us. He should be missed by all of us.

In fact, you can thank Rodney Krzykowski for this Blog! This very blog owes its existence to Rodney Kryzkowski. Think back to 2012, when the crooks, conspirators and special-interest lackies (James Latter, Howard Engel, Alice Whalen, Joe Tracey, Josephine O’Connor, Matt Miller, the RCS Sports Association, and the nefarious Delucas, Cathy and Dirty-Hands Jerry) were ambushing and backstabbing, and lying their way into controlling the RCS school board and the $42,000,000+ budget. This blog was started to defend Rodney and to expose the crooks and conspirators for what they were. That was three years ago and we’re still going strong, thanks to Rodney and the raw deal the crooks were handing him.

RodneyK_FrameRodney Krzykowski was a man of few words but those words held incredible meaning. He was an honest man, a man who shot from the hip with deadly accuracy, as many of the members of the RCS board of education, like Mr James Latter, Mr Howard “Bray” Engel, Ms Alice Whalen and others too numerous to name, learned very quickly and have the scars to prove it. Rodney was intelligent and did the math before he opened his mouth, unlike the current Latter board, and when he spoke, he made sense; he never learned double-speak.

Rodney embodied a very rare pioneer spirit and didn’t have very much use for government or the crooks government seems to attract and feed. He was brilliant when it came to researching even arcane subjects and doing his homework. Unlike most of our elected officials and public employees, Rodney thrived on intellectual challenges;if it was out there, he’d find it, and when he did Watch out! Town of Coeymans. Most of the local sheeple tended to condemn him on unsubstantiated misinformation spread by the local incest clubs. Surprised? Unlike Rodney, everyone else had something to say about his politics but none of them really knew anything at all about him or his politics. We did, though, and we must admit that he was on to something, not a fanatic or an anarchist, but a true crusader, a man whose principles guided him, and a man who thumbed his nose to ass-kissers and clique-members. When you spoke to Rodney, you had an instinctual perception that the man was special, honest, had a pioneer integrity that is almost extinct these days.

dove with olive branch

Rodney was a mechanical genius. He loved his cars and he loved racing them. Yes, Rodney raced stock and modified his cars himself, frequently creating machinery to get a job done. If something needed customizing he could conjure up an apparatus to do it. Makes you wonder that he never went the patent route with his creations; the man could have been a millionaire.

Yes, he could have been very comfortable but he preferred to remain simple and work for what he had. If you knew Rodney, you would have to agree with us that you would find it very difficult to find anyone who was a harder worker than he. The man never stopped.

Whether with friends — he was always welcome in many local homes — hanging out in local automotive shops, or at the Medway Café, where you could find hm regularly, he was quiet, minded his own business, but was always available if you wanted to chat. In fact, there was no one still living who knew more about local property histories, businesses, families, and government than Rodney Krzykowski. If you needed to know anything about the property that is now the Port of Coeymans or Don Trickie’s escapades, you’d ask Rodney. He could tell you what was there, what’s still there, who put it there and, if it’s not there anymore, where it went.

tail between legs_looking rightRodney was also an avid history buff and could talk your ear off about the Constitution, the developmental history of taxation, property laws, and the list goes on. He scared the living bejeebers out of local officials, lawyers, judges, because they were ignorant of most of what Rodney had spent years researching. Most local officials rely on an ignorant community and they have their way with the poor bastards; Not with Rodney K! He’d send those dirty dogs packing with their cruddy tails between their legs. We need more Rodneys to keep things kosher in town and village halls.

Rodney owned a tavern and most recently RAK Tire Recovery and the former R.K. Winners Circle. He was not only a businessman and entrepreneur but active in community organizations, too. He was a member of the Ravena Grange and the County Grange and was elected to serve on the RCS board of education. He even raced stock cars at Lebanon Valley for many years.

Rodney was a self-made man, a good man, a generous friend. We are deeply saddened by the way his death was hushed by his family, and how his community was deprived of the opportunity to grieve his death, how Rodney’s friends and admirers were deprived of the opportunity to mourn the loss of a friend and model citizen. We were outraged by the pitifully scant obituary that was tucked away, almost invisible, in a Sunday Times Union. Rodney deserved better, much better. In fact, quite a number of Rodney’s friends and acquaintances were shocked and offended that he was disposed of like a box of old newspapers. A number of those friends and acquaintances even offered to chip in a couple of hundred dollars each to cover a proper viewing and funeral but Rodney’s daughters allegedly wanted to make quick work of it all — the Babcock Funeral Home of Ravena (NY) — a real monopoly in the Ravena area, big prices small productions — , known for its sloppy service, probably didn’t do much to help the general situation.

But the well-hidden, cheapo obituary did announce that Rodney’s memorial service was to be held on

Saturday, August 1, 2015
at 11:00 a.m. at the
Trinity United Methodist Church
Coeymans Hollow

We hope that everyone who knew Rodney will be there to show their support for this fine man, and to show that true American pioneer spirit still has a place in our decrepit culture. Let’s see how Trinity United Methodist will manage to appropriately and fittingly celebrate Rodney’s life; are they up to the task? (See Editor’s Note.)

Editor’s Note: The turnout at Trinity United Methodist Church for Rodney’s memorial service was standing room only. Rev. Meager rushed the actual service a bit and the hymns could have been a bit more energetic but overall the event was a fine tribute. The Grange did a beautiful tribute, and the eulogies spoke only well of Rodney and his contributions to the community. It was a proper tribute to a fine man, and we’d like to thank the community for showing up and doing Rodney proud.

Rodney,
You grew in wisdom, age, and grace and learned through suffering.
May the Lord bless and keep you.
May choirs of angels welcome you and lead you into paradise,
May the martyrs come to welcome you
and take you to the holy city,
the new and eternal Jerusalem,
where you may find respite in the bosom of Abraham;
where Lazarus is poor no longer,
where every tear is wiped away.

There may you find eternal peace.

StJohnsAshfield_StainedGlass_GoodShepherd

We’ll remember you, Rodney.

George Acker, Greene County Independence Party Chairman: “We never forget.”

New Baltimore in Focus or In Our Sights. You Decide.

buck_in_crosshairs

Looks like the New Baltimore Re-pubic-an Incumbents on the town board are in for a scary ride this time. Nick Dellisanti and sidekick Jeff Ruso seem to have done a classic job of pissing off the Independence Party hierarchy and may have lost some much-needed support.

pissed-me-off-you-have

The Independence party supported Nick Dellisanti (R) and his group last election but Dellisanti turned around and screwed with the Independence party candidates when the voting was done. Dellisanti’s suicidal statement: “Republicans appoint Republicans” is turning out to be a poison pill for him and anyone running alongside him.

While the Independence party may have an axe to grind with Dellisanti, the past two years have been really disappointing overall. Dellisanti and his group don’t seem to be able to set any milestone accomplishments. What they do seem to have excelled in, however is distortion, deception and misrepresentation. Seems also that they don’t have the wherewithal to fight battles, within town hall and outside of town hall, because they don’t understand the local culture.

But what can you expect from outsiders, anyway?

The Dellisanti group fails in leadership

New Baltimore town supervisor Nick Dellisanti (R) and town board member Jeff Ruso (R) behaved unethically, using local supporters and disposing of them ungratefully after the voting was done — after all, according to Dellisanti, “Republicans appoint republicans,” (for example: Barbara Finke (R) to be town clerk, Kathy Rundberg (R) to be planning board chair, etc.). We’d like to see appointments by merit and for the good of the community as a whole, not just for party cronies, Mr Dellisanti. But their failings don’t stop there. The Dellisanti group fails in leadership and does not respond affirmatively nor decisively to residents. Moreover, Dellisanti and Ruso have the bizarre tendency to ignore residents’ offers of participation in local town affairs, ignoring correspondence on a number of occasions. Rather than calling them liars outright, Dellisanti and Ruso have their own versions of facts, too. Where’s the transparency, accountability, collaboration we were promised?

On the Democrap side your have wicked-weasel-momma Diane Louis; generally disliked in just about every circle but this wicked-weasel-momma that she is, she has staying power (probably because she eats her young, despite the fact that she’s vegetarian). Very nasty piece of work.

Arlene McKeon is Louis’ sidekick and has an ego to match. You can be certain of one thing: Louis and McKeon have the interests of Louis and McKeon at the top of their priority list.

On the Re-pubic-an side you have another wicked-weasel-momma, Jean Horne, who has a listening problem but likes to give orders. Ever hear the story why we have two ears and one mouth, Jean? Jean is going to have to do some puddle-jumping to keep her feet clear of the doggy-doo piles being left by her darlings Dellisanti, Ruso and others. Horne will also have a problem with New Baltimore highway superintendent Denis Jordan who can’t seem to cooperate with town hall, can’t seem to handle the job he’s expected to do as highway superintendent (more on Hamlet streets in an upcoming article), but has plenty of town-time to take care of special locals — sort of favors for votes. But isn’t that illegal, Mr Dellisanti? You know about it but you haven’t done much about it. Why is that? Jordan has to go!

And then there’s the question of the money being paid to New Baltimore animal control officer Joe Tanner who works full time elsewhere and can’t possibly respond to animal control calls until he get off his other job. That’s why he conjures up undocumented investigations and why his favorite line is “sign a complaint.” Signing a complaint gets him off the hook and the complainant has to do the work. Nice scam for an additional $3-4,000 a year for nothin’. But isn’t that illegal, too, Mr Dellisanti? And what about you, Mr Ruso, isn’t animal control one of your committees? You know about it but haven’t cleaned house yet. Why is that? (But then neither did democraps David Louis or Susan O’Rorke.)

two ears one mouthThe wicked-weasel mommas stay behind the scenes and like to call shots and bark instructions. They like to pick candidates so they have someone to be their sockpuppets. They also like to play dirty behind the scenes and let others take the crap. That’s their wicked-weasel staying power game.

Do Louis and McKeon take the pill?

Do Louis and McKeon take the pill?

dove with olive branchSo what are the wicked-weasel-mommas going to do now that their wicked-weasel candidates can’t expect to run only with democrap or re-pubic-an backing, and they have to get the backing of the next major party, the Independence Party? You guessed it: They grovel and crawl to George Acker, while they wave their insincere, phoney plastic olive branches, begging the Independence party for support and endorsement. But…

George Acker:The Independence party never forgets.”

Well, now that Dellisanti and Ruso have pretty much sewn themselves into a potato sack and are just waiting to be thrown into the Hudson, Arlene McKeon is going to have to do some fancy steppin’. Why? Because the Independence party will be a hard nut to crack for the repubics. Irene Beede, Independence second-in-command, recently told New Baltimore’s Dellisanti that they’ll “need more signatures” to get Independence backing. Translation: You’re dead in the water. Take a walk. According to Independence party chairman George Acker, “The Independence party never forgets.

Then there’s wicked-weasel-mamma Diane Louis who is begging the Independence party to endorse her new sockpuppet, Arthur Fullerton. We’re researching Fullerton but if the adage, “birds of a feather flock together,” proves true, we have some grave concerns. The very fact that Louis is pushing Fullerton already taints him as being cut from the same cloth as a David Louis or a Susan O’Rorke. We’re looking at him in those terms until some really persuasive stuff comes our way.

Who this Arthur Fullerton is is a bit of a mystery but that’s always the case with the democraps and has been the history of any democrap town hall: keep it in the back room. That’s not to say that the re-pubic-ans don’t have their own secret agendas but,  obviously, when Diane Louis sees something in a potential sockpuppet that alone should put the fear of the Lord in all New Baltimore voters from the get-go! Think David Louis. Think Susan O’Rorke. That’s Diane Louis at work.

First of All, We Have to Take Control of Ourselves!

An editorial aside

Voters in New Baltimore and everywhere must stop letting others think for them. Our whole American culture has become a nation of sheeple. Turn on the TV or the radio and listen. You’re being told what to think, what to buy, what you need, what you want, what you should be thinking, what not to think, what you don’t need. They’re even filling your heads with fear and anxiety. What you should be fearing today. Whom you should fear today. Anxiety and fear are very effective methods of controlling populations (remember Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pho Pot?). Another way of keeping populations under control is to isolate them. Isolation is used in prisons to control populations and it’s used on the general population, too! How? You may very well ask! By creating a self-focused society. A ME!-first society. By destroying institutions that unite people, starting with the family, the church, communities. Isolation. Distractions are also very effective: more toys dominating your attention and you won’t notice what’s going on around you. How about keeping people poor? If you’re worried about your bills and survival, you’re likely not to pay very much attention to politics. Right? Very few people today actually think independently; most are simply robots doing what the media tell them to do. Are YOU one of them? Don’t think for a minute that political party leadership in their conventions, caucuses and whatnot have your interests in mind. They first look at electability. Can we get this guy or gal elected? They’re looking for numbers. And they’re looking to put through THEIR agendas. It’s a power trip for them. It’s an ego trip for them. It’s disaster for us!

One lesson we can learn from recent events in Greece, the birthplace of democracy: when governments are screwing you, take to the streets and change it. Good for you, Greece! Democracy is alive and strong in Greece. It’s all but dead in the USA (maybe it never arrived in the USA…maybe it’s all just a big propaganda spoof and you all believe it)!

For the past two decades or so the town of New Baltimore has been merely a feeding ground for incompetent amateurs feeding their inflated egos with hard-working citizens’ votes. We don’t need Harvard M.B.A.s or healthcare administrators to run this town. We don’t need democraps or re-pubic-ans either, since at this level they are DINOs (democrats in name only) or RINOs (republicans in name only) and they’ll change their party affiliations in a flash if it serves their perverse ambitions. And we don’t need political parties or widked-weasel-mommas to select their cronies and tell us whom we are going to have to vote for. Enough already! We don’t need any more outsider amateurs who want a town they can play with. What we need is some dedicated, community-oriented, sincere, honest people who can respect the local culture and respond to local needs and concerns, while having the balls to take a stand and to tell the downstaters and carpetbaggers that this town of New Baltimore belongs to the people of New Baltimore who make their homes here. What we do need is for native New Baltimorans to wake up and take New Baltimore back. We need neighbors and friends to start running the town and tell the cliques and egomaniacs to take a hike.

Anyone who arrogantly tells another citizen resident that his or her chances of working for the good of this town depends on his or her party affiliation and not on his or her merit; in other words, that “Republicans appoint republicans” does not deserve to be in public office — here or anywhere else.

Fullerton, Dellisanti, Ruso, etc., Will you survive?

Fullerton, Dellisanti, Ruso, etc., Will you survive?

Any candidate running in this town of New Baltimore from this point on will have to pass the acid test, will go through a baptism of fire, before he or she makes it to the ballot. We call upon all citizen residents of New Baltimore to start taking responsibility for this town and to join us in telling Diane Louis, Arlene McKeon, Nick Dellisanti, Jeff Ruso and anyone else that this town is still a democracy and is not a party-political machine shop. Any candidate’s priority must and will be the single common good of the community of New Baltimore and nothing less than that.

We’ll be reporting more on this issue as we move closer to the campaigns. We’ll also keep our ears to the ground and pick up any vibes, do our research, collect our facts and report responsibly to the community. We also need to inform the community of New Baltimore town superintendent of highways, Denis Jordan, and his attempt to stay in office to maximize the damage he can do to the town while banking his pension. There’s an alternative brewing that may be the town’s chance to save itself. Stay tuned!

We Specialize in Rubbish Removal: A Perfect Record

We're cleaning up!

We’re cleaning up!

Since the inauguration of this blog as a reliable source of community information and as a catalyst for change-for-the-better of the communities in the R-C-S southern Albany county and northern Greene county regions, we have accumulated a long list of accomplishments, thanks to the contributions and support of the communities we serve. Here are just a few that we successfully pushed to rid our communities of trash:SUCCESSES%20starburst

  • John Bruno as Mayor of Ravena: He’s history.
  • We showed how Nancy Warner is a two-headed snake and hypocrite: She’s history but doesn’t know it yet.
  • Tom Boehm and his cronies on the Coeymans town board: He’s gone and so are they (rest to follow).
  • The dirty-hands-duo Dirty-Hands-Jerry Deluca and his sidekick Gregory “Dumpy-Dumplin'” Darlington: they’re both gone (but with their pensions, regrettably!).
  • The illegal and unlawful Ravena Health and Fitness Center (and its failure manager, Cathy Deluca): it’s bye-byes for the RHFC and Cathy Deluca (see below).
  • The Coeymans Police Department (but we do support keeping Chief P.J. McKenna in the capacity as law enforcement liaison to the Albany County Sheriff’s Department and the New York State Police; McKenna is a professional law enforcement officer with a great deal of experience and savvy.): it’s curtains for the CPD!
  • The Coeymans incestuous gang of dispatchers: they’re passé.
  • In New Baltimore, we worked to get rid of the democrap mob under Susan O’Rorke and get some new blood in New Baltimore town hall: we’re working to get some work out of the new egomaniacs in NB town hall now.
  • Also in New Baltimore, we worked to oust the former town clerk for alleged abuse of office: we ended up with an initial political appointee, Barbara Finke (NB town supervisor:Nick Dellisanti  “Republicans appoint republicans.” — That was a really bad response, Nick!) who ran unopposed and is now in office — Well, almost, Finke seems to be away, absent, on vacation more than she’s in the clerk’s office (but that’s fuel for another article): Bye-bye next election.
  • We exposed numerous local scandals in Ravena village hall including the incompetence of the village clerk (a Bruno appointee,Annette Demitraszek, and deputy-clerk Kristine Biernacki, Nancy Warner friends), the public works scandals and Henry Traver (we have some tidbits to share on Traver and his relationship with some of the hopeless hopefuls) and Sandy Debacco, the water scandals, the Ravena mayor and boardmember health insurance benefits scandal (full-time benes for less than part-time work!), and we’re still working on those.
  • In New Baltimore we exposed the scandals involving Denis Jordan, NB superintendent of highways, and his unlawful labor practices, his non-existing recordkeeping, his misuse of town resources.
  • In New Baltimore we exposed the problem of Joseph Tanner, animal control officer, being paid several thousands of dollars of taxpayer money while he works full time for the New York State Department of Transportation; he can’t possibly respond to animal control calls while working on a road crew!
  • An the list goes on and on and on. Just search this blog and get the facts! We’re working on some great exposés at this very time. Stay tuned!
"Dirty-Dumplin'" Darlington as Busdriver

“Dirty-Dumplin'” Darlington as Busdriver

And speaking of Gregory “Dirty-Dumplin'” Darlington, former chief of the Coeymans police department. That same dirty cop who conspired with Nancy Warner and then Ravena mayor John Bruno to harass and persecute Ravena kids, how is it that the “Dirty-Dumplin’” was recently observed driving an RCS school bus?!?! How can the RCS school board allow that weasel who was such a savage to our children only a year ago should now be have access to our children on their school buses? Where are you parents? What’s that pervert doing on the bus with your kids? Is the “Dirty Dumplin’” that hard up for a job? Won’t his fellow weasel Albany County District Attorney David Soares give him a job? Nope. Even David Soares isn’t that stupid. Only the RCS board of education can claim to be that stupid. Check out this Family Guy busdriver clip.

Not to be used to support the illegal money-pit, the Ravena Health and Fitness Center!!!

Not to be used to support the illegal money-pit, the Ravena Health and Fitness Center!!!

As for the Ravena Health and Fitness Center: The Ravena town board refused to fund the Ravena Heaps and Fatness Center in 2015. We certainly applauded that move but had to ask Why did it take them so long? Almost a year prior they admitted it was failing and was a money pit. At a recent Ravena village board meeting we were appalled to have heard that the Village was looking into getting county/state funds to keep the money-pit operating for another year, presumably to keep failure Cathy Deluca in a job. Where were they going to get the funds? Well, they expected to get money from the money confiscated from drug dealers and placed in a fund for supporting communities etc. The Ravena village board had better think again. Here’s Why?

  • We smell corruption and collusion in that announcement. Is that why we see Dirty-Hands-Jerry Decluca‘s New York State Association of Fire Chiefs official vehicle at Ravena town hall? Is he still misusing police information to shoe-horn his pet hippo into a secure position?
  • We smell Nancy Warner still trying to keep her biatch-buddy in a job but still at taxpayer expense! It’s not going to work, Nancy. That money you’re greedily eying is earmarked for worthwhile community projects, not to keep your friends in play-money!

The Ravena Health and Fitness Center is dead, and it’s going to stay that way!

According to the local rag, the Ravena News Herald, the Albany County Sheriff’s Department was “interested” in taking over the Ravena Heaps and Fatness money pit! That’s absolutely absurd! To think that Craig Apple or anyone in the Albany County Sheriff’s Department would seriously consider taking over that dump is absolutely scandalous and political suicide! Warning to Mr Apple: Stay clear of the Ravena Health and Fitness Center or face election ruin!

But according to that same report in the Ravena News Herald, Ravena hasn’t heard a peep from Mr Apple or anyone in his department regarding the alleged “interest.” Maybe there still is some sanity in Albany County.

Here’s our promise: If the Village of Ravena or anyone associated with the Village of Ravena even tries to submit a request for funds or grant money, especially from money confiscated from drug dealers, the shit will hit the fan big time. We will obtain all applications and the names of all persons involved and expose them all. We will contact all regional community-based organizations, non-profit community organizations, non-government organizations an create an avalanche that will bury Ravena village hall. Once we’ve gotten the support of regional organizations, we’ll use that support to demand investigations, audits, and prosecutions from the Office of the New York State Attorney General, the Office of the Comptroller, and others. So think again, Ravena, the Ravena Health and Fitness Center is dead, and it’s going to stay that way! And if the Albany County Sheriff is so asinine to allow himself to get involved in such a scandalous and corrupt situation, he’d better start updating his résumé because he’ll be political HISTORY in a New York minute, and be listed as a political suicide!

It’s bad enough that even a rumor is even circulating that any Albany County department would consider taking over the Ravena money pit but to think that the suggestion is that the Albany County Sheriff would be willing to redirect confiscated drug money or any public funds to the third Cathy-Deluca-failure is pure insanity. Note that Mr Apple, and note it well.

Warner and her political cronies to misuse public property for their political ambitions…What’s next, campaign signs in the windows of Ravena village hall?

electioneering

Nancy Warner and Bill Bailey represent all that is corrupt in Ravena — aided and abetted by Ravena “Mayor Mouse” Misuraca’s band of retarded sockpuppets. It’s an election year and the roaches are coming out big-time! Nancy Warner is flashing her fangs from her nag’s head, together with doddering mumbler Bill Bailey, “Mr Nasty” Jim Youmans, Graveyard Manager Rick Touchette, and several other failures. Nancy Warner is dead in the water but doesn’t know it. In fact, we were flabbergasted when we drove by the village gazebo during the village-wide yard sale and saw Nancy Warner, Bill Bailey, Rick Touchette all misusing public property in their electioneering! Misusing public property for party political campaigning is heavy duty unethical and illegal. That’s the same Nancy Warner who had the Coeymans police chasing local village kids when the kids were hanging out at the Gazebo. But it’s OK for Warner and her political cronies to misuse public property for their political ambitions. Right? WRONG! We’d also like to remind our readers, especially our Ravena readers, that it was Nancy Warner [with the support of Bill Bailey] who orchestrated the mindless scandal of creating the Ravena Health and Fitness Center — which we all now know was devouring more than $100,000 a year of Ravena taxpayer dollars before the Ravena board woke up and admitted it was a failure and a money pit —, and it was Nancy Warner, who hired known failure Cathy Deluca to be manager of the fitness center, and who ensured that Ravena village hall insider Robert Fisk managed to collect more than $40, 000 of Ravena taxpayer dollars for his used fitness equipment. And it’s that same Bill Bailey who wants to meter and charge Coeymans fire department for the water they use in responding to emergencies, putting out fires! And it’s the same Nancy Warner and Bill Bailey who want to turn off water to the hamlet of Coeymans. And, Yup!, it’s the same Nancy Warner and Bill Bailey who, for years, have been involved in the unlawful and improper water and sewer billing practices in Ravena. But now they’re looking for your votes! No Way José!

And let us remind RCS residents and taxpayers that it was Nancy Warner and Bill Bailey who upped the RCS Community Library’s rent an additional $600-700 a month to force the library to vacate the library space for the money pit Ravena Health and Fitness Center. And it was Nancy Warner and Bill Bailey along with former Mayor John Bruno and his puppets on the Ravena village board who were constantly threatening the RCS Community Library with eviction. Show us any other community in the civilized world that would do that to its community library!

Warner and Bailey: Illegal and unfair water and sewer billing, shadey bookkeeping, harassment of our kids, illegal and unethical campaign practices, abuse of the community library, supporters of the Cathy Deluca failure system a.k.a. the Ravena Health and Fitness Center, insider dealers. Do you still want to put them back in village hall?

Tom Dolan and Peter Masti of the Coeymans town board are also looking for election to political office. Tom Dolan is an abject failure and an embarrasment to the democrap party: he’s managed to lose his grip on every important issue and is waffler-in-chief on the Coeymans town board. Dolan has to go and like yesterday. He’s got a lot of negative baggage, too, like his alleged manipulation of voting through is Choices office. That’s going to follow him. And let’s not forget the favors he allegedly accepted from local town and village justices for his kids’ drinking and drug problems. He’s corrupt and is not above taking unethical and illegal favors.

Peter Masti misuses Holy Scripture because he misunderstands it — we don’t need to elect fanatics or more tunnel-vision in local government!

Now native Californian Peter Masti, who likes to remind readers of his many letters to the editor in the Troy Record that he’s a registered nurse, is a real dud. We’ve pubished some of his lunatic letters to the editor. Now we’d be the last to malign religion and spirituality, but Masti’s sense of god is perverse. He’s a literalist and fundamentalist (he uses the Bible as a weapon to control, that is, he misuses Holy Scripture because he misunderstands it.) He’s been an embarrassment on the Coeymans town board since he’s was elected. Fanatics and tunnel-vision have no place in our government and we need to start cleaning house at the local level.

"Cryptkeeper"Touchette Campaigning

“Cryptkeeper”Touchette Campaigning

And then there’s Rick Touchette. Touchette has a reputation for lying through is teeth but that’s no news in Ravena-Coeymans politics, much less in Albany democrap circles. We all know that Albany County is already a social and economic graveyard, and that Coeymans and Ravena are even deader. So it’s only natural that Rick Touchette, with his extensive credentials and experience in managing graveyards, should want to run for Albany County legislator. C’mon people, wake up and smell the decaying corpses we have running for public office. The irony of Touchette’s ambition as published in the Ravena News Herald (June 11, 2015) really made us laugh. Here’s a guy (Rick Touchette) whose entire experience is managing cemeteries and now he wants to legislate for Albany County. Now really, neighbors, isn’t that scarey? The Cryptkeeper wants to be your legislator!

Rick Touchette's career is managing cemeteries. Like Ravena/Coeymans, Albany?

Rick Touchette’s career is managing cemeteries. Like Ravena/Coeymans, Albany?

For some years now Touchette has been the executive director of the Albany [Roman Catholic] Diocesan Cemeteries, and if you’ve ever had to deal with that bunch of anal freaks, you’d steer well clear of Touchette.

Coeymans: Urgent Need for Blood!!! Here’s why…

Update: An inspection of the signs we reported to be blocking visibility at the intersection of Main St/Church St (Rt 143) and Westerlo St in the Hamlet of Coeymans shows that the offending signs have been rearranged following our report. We are pleased to note that Ravena/Coeymans officials read this blog and take its advice to heart. Maybe next time the geniuses will use their heads and save some trouble and embarrassment.

George Orwell’s 1984. Written in 1948, 1984 was George Orwell’s chilling prophecy about the future. And while 1984 has come and gone, Orwell’s narrative is timelier than ever. 1984 presents a startling and haunting vision of the world, so powerful that it is completely convincing from start to finish. No one can deny the power of this novel, its hold on the imaginations of multiple generations of readers, or the resiliency of its admonitions—a legacy that seems only to grow with the passage of time. How typical! Right in front of the Coeymans Firehouse/Rescue building the very hazardous intersection of Main/Church Street (RT 143) and Westerlo Street in Coeymans Hamlet, right across from the Pieter B. Coeymans elementary school and right in front of the Coeymans Fire Company, some bunch of morons have cluttered the corner with signs that make it virtually impossible to see oncoming traffic on Main Street! Of course they need more blood! Do you think they could obstruct visibility any more completely?

We'd to know who the morons are who have cluttered this already hazardous intersection! Is this job security for the Coeymans Fire Department and the Rescue Squad? Do you wonder that they urgently need blood?

We’d to know who the morons are who have cluttered this already hazardous intersection! Is this job security for the Coeymans Fire Department and the Rescue Squad?
Do you wonder that they urgently need blood?

Considering that Coeymans has a Coeymans Fire Company and Coeymans Rescue Squad. And considering that Coeymans has a police department, it’s incredible that none of these “public safety” groups has had the brains to remove these signs from the intersection to allow motorists to have a clear view of traffic and to safely enter Main/Church Street (Rt 143)! What a bunch of clowns!

Well, now the problem arises for Coeymans residents that when an accident does happen, and the lawsuits start coming in, we can safely say that the town of Coeymans’ liability will be invoked because of its stupidity and indifference in allowing the signs to be placed in such a position as to obstruct visibility and to adversely affect motorist safety. We’ll be watching.

Who are the morons who put all those signs on that corner, we’d like to know! And PUHLEEZ get some class; Coeymans Landing Celebration on the back of a cardboard box?!?! Can’t you people afford to at least get a piece of sign board? What a bunch of hicks!

Coeymans gets the Dumbass Award this time!

Ravena Village Board is Cheating Ravena!

Stay tuned! We’ll be publishing the scandalous abuse of the public trust by the Ravena village board and their presumption to give themselves full healthcare benefits at the cost of thousands a month. How dare they be so arrogant and irresponsible to give themselves full-time benefits for a fraction of part-time work! Stand by for our full report.

Ravena gives Clerk-Treasurer Private Lessons @ $310/hour!!!

The Village of Ravena, that is, Nancy Warner, has hired an Albany accounting consulting firm, SaxBST, to provide Quickbooks training to Ravena Clerk-Treasurer Annette  Demitraszek paying the consultant doing the training, Lynda P. Smith, $175.00/hour and the other consultant, a SaxBST partner, Willard G. Reynolds, $310.00/hour. Question is: Why isn’t the village of Ravena using some of the less expensive training available? Question is: Why does the village of Ravena have to spend $18,000 for the first year fee to have SaxBST train Demitraszek when someone already with the knowledge should have been hired? Question is: Why hasn’t Nancy Warner, who claims to have 30 years in Ravena village hall training her so-called clerk-treasurers? Question is: If Nancy Warner is so damned concerned about “wasting taxpayer dollars” why is she hiring SaxBST at the rate of $300.00/hour?

Village of Ravena Accounting Principal

Village of Ravena Accounting Principle

Why is Ravena Paying $310.00/hour or $18,000 a Year to Provide Private Lessons for the Clerk-Treasurer?

Nancy Warner, the Ravena village trustee, who is so concerned about wasting taxpayer money when responding to residents’ requests or problems, despite her gung-ho support of the money pit Ravena Health and Fitness Center that devoured more than $200,000 of taxpayer money, while paying fitness-center virus Cathy Deluca more than $60,000 of that money to run yet another fitness center into oblivion, has done it again!

We have received paperwork that shows that Nancy Warner has contracted an outside consultant firm to train her two sockpuppets, Annette Demitraszek and Kristine Biernacki, how to use  Quickbooks accounting software. That’s all well and good but here’s where it gets to be a scandal:

Nancy Warner and her cronies on the Ravena village board headed by Ravena mayor Bill “Mouse” Misuraca, Joel Coye, Keith Mahler and Bill Bailey, are spending what looks like $18,000 at a rate of $300.00/hour to the consultant firm to train the gals on site at the Ravena Village Hall.

We’re not only questioning the wisdom and the logic behind spending that kind of money on consultant fees, we’ve got an even better question for Nancy Warner: If you’ve been on board at Ravena village hall for more than 30 years, earlier as village clerk and then as village trustee, this “training” should have been done way back then. What this means is that until now, village accounting and bookkeeping was not being done correctly (the Comptroller’s audits have already pointed this fact out on several occasions). Why is it that village staff are being trained now and at such great cost to taxpayers? Accounting practices and laws don’t change over night; if the state does change practices and laws for villages and towns, they send out bulletins and advisories announcing the pending changes. Where was Ravena village administration when all of this was happening, Nancy? Bill Bailey? Were you asleep on watch? Wasn’t this your responsibility, Nancy Warner?

Yeah! Nancy. That's what we thought your answer would be!

Yeah! Nancy. That’s what we thought your answer would be!

Now, we know you’re just dying to know where the money for this irresponsible and insane spending spree is coming from, so we’d like to tell you.

The firm providing the training is the Albany accounting, taxation, and advisory firm, SaxBST, located on Computer Drive. They don’t necessarily provide “training” but are providing their services as consultants (consultants are astronomically more expensive than mere “trainers”). One of the partners, Willard J. Reynolds, who is providing “services” bills at the rate of $310.00/hour. The other “trainer”, Lynda P. Smith, who isn’t even listed on the SaxBST site, bills at a rate of $170.00/hour.
According to the papers we have received, per a document stamped “Received” by the “Town Clerk” on April 24, 2015, the Village of Ravena was billed $5,550.00 on November 30, 2014 for a meeting with “the mayor, 2 board members, Annette.” That invoice shows the proposed first year fee of $18,000 (less the $5,550 billed, leaving a balance of $12,450). The village of Ravena was billed $2,867.00 on December 31, 2014 for “meetings with Annette” and “in-office discussions and research” by Smith (15 hours) and Reynolds (3/4 of an hour). The balance of the first year fee on December 31, 2014 was $9,583.00. We can’t seem to locate the line item for these expenses in the 2015-16 Ravena Village Budget, so where’s the balance supposed to coming from?

Back to where the money was coming from to pay this extravagance. The SaxBST invoice for $5550.00 was vouchered and processed for payment on or around December 15, 2014. The SaxBST invoice for $2867.00 was received by the Village of Ravena on January 12, 2006, and approved for payment.

So where is the village of Ravena, Nancy Warner, finding the cash to pay for all of this. Well, we didn’t have to look far. All we had to do is look on the payment vouchers and then at the line items in the Village of Ravena budget, and match them up. You see, Nancy Warner and the village of Ravena board are tapping several other accounts to get their hands on the money. For example, to pay the $5550.00 they used $3885.00 from line item A1320.426 (Auditor-Contractual Services), $832.00 from line item F1320.426 (Auditor-Contractual Services), and $832.00 from line item G1320.426 (Auditor-Contractual Services). To pay the $2867.00 they used $2006.90 from line item A1320.426 (Auditor-Contractual Services), $430.00 from line item F1320.426 (Auditor-Contractual Services), and $430.00 from line item G1320.426 (Auditor-Contractual Services). They just barely made it in the 2014-15 budget but it doesn’t appear that they will in the 2015-16 budget because two of the line items: F1320.426 (Auditor-Contractual Services) and G1320.426 (Auditor-Contractual Services) don’t appear in that budget. So our question is: Where are they going to get the balance of more than $9,000 to cover the outstanding balance for the year’s SaxBST fees?

Click on this link to download the actual documents we are referring to: FOILed Ravena Vouchers

Now get this: Nancy Warner is the contact person shown on the correspondence from SaxBST. Annette Demitraszek, the assistant clerk-treasurer, a Bruno appointee and a Misuraca re-appointee, official Nancy-Warner-sockpuppet, is the village employee, the “authorized official” who is certifying and approving the expenditure. Now isn’t that delicious: Nancy Warner, who is so concerned about wasting taxpayer dollars, is having her cronies privately trained on site, on village time by consultants billing at the rate of $175/h and $310/hour!!! And guess who is certifying and approving the payment of the fat invoices? None other than the very person receiving the training and benefits: Annette Demitraszek, village of Ravena clerk-treasurer! Anybody smell a rat yet?

About $20 from Amazon or Barnes&Noble!

About $20 from Amazon or Barnes&Noble!

So we did a little research on Quickbooks training. You can get a 2-day mastery course for $499.00  and do it on line with Intuit, who has trained more than 2 million government and business clients and for $999.99 you can become a Quickbooks VIP member and enjoy extended benefits . We won’t go into the benefits of these programs but will mention that local community colleges have ongoing courses for Quickbooks in their continuing education programs. Why didn’t the dumbasses in Ravena village hall consider any of these options? Because it’s easier to sit on their fat asses in village hall and spend Ravena taxpayer’s dollars. That’s why.

Better still, buy the Quickbooks for Dummies — if Demitrazek and the Ravena village board can qualify as dumbasses, they’ll ace the dummies course —, available from Amazon or Barnes&Noble for the outrageous price of $20.00. Now why didn’t Nancy Warner think of that?

We’d also like to speculate that there’s something in this wild spending to benefit someone in village hall. Why would Ravena’s elected officials be so irresponsible and expose themselves to such scandalous ridicule if they weren’t getting something big in return. What’s in it for Nancy Warner, we’d like to ask? It just wouldn’t make sense being so irresponsible so openly if they weren’t getting something considerable in return. Kickbacks? Favors? We do know that Annette Demitraszek is walking away with knowledge obtained in private lessons by some pretty pricey tutors, and she’s doing it on your tab. It’ll look good on her résumé when she goes job hunting when Ravena taxpayers demand she be fired, and Nancy Warner’s brought up on charges.

Now don’t you think you should be attending village of Ravena village board meetings and asking some questions about how your money is being spent?

Nancy Warner: How to Manage Ravena Taxpayer Dollars
The Editor

They ran promising transparency and accountability. New Baltimore and Ravena: Check is in the mail.

tyrant_croppedVillage of Ravena

Many of us have experienced the hell of trying to get the village of Ravena to cough up public access information using the so-call F.O.I.L. (Freedom of Information Law) process established under the New York State Public Officers Law. Nancy Warner and her minions, Annette Demitraszek and Kristine Biernacki. It was bad under the Bruno tyranny but not much has changed. They manage to either delay indefinitely, to forget, or to refuse to produce the information requested. Seems it doesn’t bother them that they are violating citizens’ rights to public information or that they are breaking the law.

Our recommendation to the resident who received Nancy Warner’s unprofessional and illicit e-mail: Tell Ms Warner she has no authority to have written any email addressing the resident’s specific inquiry. She is not a sitting member of any committee competent to respond nor is she in any official position to represent the village board on her own. She was out of order and out of bounds when she responded, and the resident should tell her in no uncertain terms that has no authority to have addressed the e-mail to the resident. In other words, the resident should tell Ms Warner to place her broad bottom on the sharp end of a tack; sit on it.

Nancy Warner's Handling of Resident Inquiries How the Village of Ravena Responds to F.O.I.L. Requess

Nancy Warner’s Handling of Resident Inquiries
How the Village of Ravena Responds to F.O.I.L. Requests

Nor does it seem to bother them that they took oaths to serve the public, obey the law and to protect the Constitution. Mayor “Mouse” Misuraca is the village F.O.I.L. appeals officer, which means that he’s the one you have to rely on to overrule Nancy Warner and her sock puppets, Demitraszek and Biernacki, but he’s just a low-key kinda guy, not a hands-on leader. So that means you’re not getting your information.

We are fortunate to have received from one of our readers a recent e-mail received from Nancy Warner that clearly illustrates how she despises citizen’s rights and how she thinks she is servant to no one, least of all a resident of Ravena, and how snotty she responds to a resident’s inquires. Here’s what she writes:

Since I have a Village email address I suggest you use that when you send any emails to me regarding Village matters. I will not respond to any Village emails that come to any other address except that one.

With that said, I will address this one final time. You have had your unit situation for [redacted] Main Street explained to you, both in person & in writing, on several occasions dating back as far as when I was the Deputy Clerk-Treasurer for the Village. The Clerk’s office, the Mayor’s office & the Building Dept have all addressed this issue with you.

As far as I am concerned this matter is closed and no further discussion will be entertained by me. Please stop wasting the taxpayer’s money & the office staff’s valuable time by requesting information via FOIL that you have been given repeatedly.

Nancy Warner's Motto

Nancy Warner’s Motto

Well, Nancy Warner, we have reviewed the documents you and your office produced in response to the resident’s F.O.I.L. demands and what you and your “office staff” produced was rubbish, incomplete, and unintelligible in terms of responsible recordkeeping. While that didn’t surprise us in the least, we do have to remind you that you are a public servant, elected by some strange quirk of fate, and you don’t have choices in most of your duties and responsibilities. It’s not your little playpen, Nancy! (Your little pigpen, the Ravena Health and Fitness Center has been defunded, remember?)

As to your statement that you won’t respond: It is your duty and obligation to respond to any citizen’s or resident’s inquiries. You don’t have a choice, Nancy. If the resident pees his/her request in the snow and you read it it’s your duty and obligation to respond. So stop your arrogant twaddle, biatch! You’ll respond and you’ll like it!

What’s more, you’ll respond as many times as necessary. If a citizen or resident asks the same thing again it’s obvious you didn’t respond adequately in the first place. So you respond until the citizen or resident is satisfied he/she understands your explanation. That’s your duty and responsibility.

You make the big mistake of referring to the time when you were Deputy Clerk-Treasurer for the Village of Ravena

As a matter of fact, you make the big mistake of referring to the time when you were Deputy Clerk-Treasurer for the Village. That was a big mistake because most of the criminal activity and the poor recordkeeping began on YOUR WATCH, Nancy Warner! We’ve seen some of the garbage you have passed off as responses and documentation and it’s would make a third-grader look like a Philadelphia lawyer. Get with the program, Missy! You’re a public servant.

As far as you’re “concerned this matter is closed and no further discussion will be entertained by me” is totally incorrect. The matter isn’t closed because you want it to be. Not by a long shot. It’s closed when the matter is rectified, when the problem resolved. Who in hell do you think you are to tell a citizen or resident that you won’t entertain a citizen’s requests?

Cathy Deluca and her pigpenWhere'd the funding go, little piggies?

Cathy Deluca and her pigpen
Where’d the funding go, little piggies?

But the part of your e-mail, Ms Witch-on-a-Stick Nancy Warner is when you tell the resident to “please stop wasting the taxpayer’s money & the office staff’s valuable time.” That statement alone shows what a vile hypocrite you really are. But it also had to be the funniest statement you’ve made in your entire misspent life, but especially the stupidest statement you could have possibly have made as a trustee of the village of Ravena, a trustee who cannot be trusted to do what’s right for the people of Ravena, and the very trustee of the village of Ravena who ensured that her girlfriend, Cathy Deluca, got her own playpen (the “pigpen“) at taxpayer expense, the very trustee who spearheaded spending more than $40,000 on used fitness equipment from one of your insider friends, and the very untrusworthy trustee who ensured that the failed and now defunded Ravena Health and Fitness Center (a.k.a. Cathy’s pigpen), run into the ground by your girlfriend Cathy Deluca at taxpayer expense, got funded for two years, sending more than $200,000 of Ravena taxpayer dollars down the sewers. You should have thought of not wasting taxpayer money and office staff’s valuable time when you were doing your own damage to the village of Ravena, Nancy Warner!

New Baltimore

They ran promising transparency and accountability. What they are delivering is clear as mud and just as helpful.

Saved by the SmartPhone: What the Supervisor, Deputy Supervisor and a Greene County Sheriffs deputy apparently can’t see, the camera can! No denying that town of New Baltimore supervisor Nick Delisanti, sidekick “deputy supervisor” Jeff Ruso and a Greene County sheriff’s deputy really need to get their eyes — and ears — examined. And town of New Baltimore voters need to get their heads examined for electing this bunch of fruitcakes.

The situation: A public street in the National Historic District, Madison Avenue East, was blocked by a private contractor for extended periods on April 24 and 25, preventing access to the one-way street and the one-way streets connecting to it. No early notice of the closure was provided to residents on those streets. No signs were posted indicating safe detours. No flagmen were positioned to ensure safety. Residents had to navigate the one-way streets in the wrong direction to reach their homes. While going the wrong way on one-way streets the residents were at risk of accident and liability, not to mention ticketing should law enforcement have to investigate. Construction trucks were also using the streets. The town of New Baltimore was contacted regarding this unlawful and dangerous situation.

After several back-and-forth emails and several reminders, a New Baltimore Resident finally gets some answers, if you can call them answers. Here’s an example of New Baltimore town Supervisor’s responses to the resident’s questions regarding unlawful blocking of a public street in New Baltimore. These are the questions and Dellisanti’s answers.

Question: Was the town of New Baltimore notified of the tree removal operations?
Delisanti’s answer: No
Question: Is a permit required for such operations when they affect public transit?
Delisanti’s answer: Yes, block parties, parades, & street fairs.
Question: Is a permit required for operations that require closure of a public roadway?
Delisanti’s answer: Yes, block parties, parades, & street fairs.
Question: Is a permit required for redirecting traffic on a public roadway for private purposes?
Delisanti’s answer: Contact the Greene County Sheriffs office
Question: If a permit was required, was one applied for?
Delisanti’s answer: N/A
Question: If a permit was applied for and issued, when will the permit be available for inspection?
Delisanti’s answer: N/A
Question: What safety or monitoring precautions were provided by the town of New Baltimore during this operation?
Delisanti’s answer: Contact the Greene County Sheriffs office.
Question: If a permit were required and none was applied for and, consequently, none issued, what are the intentions of the town of New Baltimore to follow up on this matter?
Delisanti’s answer: N/A
Between those questions and receipt of the answers, the resident sent 4 other questions:
Question: Has anyone from the town visited the concerned area, specifically, has anyone from the town board or the Highway Department visited the area.
Delisanti’s answer: Yes, both Jeff Ruso & I went to the site; Deputy Superintendent Scott VanWormer went there after he finished with a multi – alarm fire on 9W in Coxsackie; he asked the contractor if any residents complained that the road was blocked & he said no; Scott asked him to open the road and he did.
Question: Has anyone from the town made inquiries as to who is doing the work and blocking off the streets, specifically, has anyone from the town board or the Highway Department made such inquiries since my initial notification?
Delisanti’s answer: Contractor was Jay Biel
Question: Has the town undertaken to involve law enforcement to investigate or to provide safety support during the operations going on on Madison Avenue East and in view of the traffic obstructions and diversions?
Delisanti’s answer: I had the Greene County Deputy Sheriff respond to Madison Ave East at 9:10am on 4/25.  The Deputy Sheriff reported back that the trees and limbs were down & the road was open.
Question: What documentation is being kept of any response to any of my questions.
Delisanti’s answer: I have all of your e-mails & my responses on file.
After having received those remarkable responses the resident writes:
I’m sure that you can appreciate that the qualities of diligence, conscientiousness, honesty, integrity, and thoroughness are high on the list of qualities we might seek, expect in leaders. The fact that you state that you have all of my emails on file but manage to respond to a mere fraction of the questions posed does not bode well for your overall score 😉
So, New Baltimore residents, go on out and close your streets down, it’s legal in New Baltimore — at least according to your town of New Baltimore supervisor, Mr Nick Dellisanti. But don’t have all of those street fairs, parades, or block parties without getting a permit. Remember all those New Baltimore street fairs, parades and block parties we have so many of. DUH! And we understand there’s going to be a new local tax in New Baltimore, the Supervisor’s Vision Surcharge, which will be used for the town of New Baltimore supervisor’s and deputy-supervisor’s vision exams and corrective lenses to help them see construction trucks and traffic cones, providing, of course, they go down to inspect during normal work hours, before the workmen take off for the day.
GET A PAIR

GET A PAIR

And what’s this crappola about “Contact the Greene County Sheriffs office“? What’s that steaming pile of BS, Mr Dellisanti? Madison Avenue East is a town of New Baltimore roadway, your responsibility first, your highway department’s responsibility first, NOT THE GREENE COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT’S!!! If anyone has to contact the Greene County Sheriff’s office it’s YOU, Mr Dellisanti! Get with the program. If you want to be supervisor and board member, start doing the job!
Speaking of doing the job. We understand New Baltimore Town Clerk Barbara Finke is again out of the office, on vacation for a month in Italy. Wasn’t there some talk about regular business hours for the New Baltimore Town Clerk and availability of the Town Clerk during those business hours? Seems Ms Finke is absent from the TC’s office more than she’s in; she’s taken more time off than she’s spend in the office. But wasn’t that the battle cry of the current New Baltimore town board and supervisor when Ms Brooks was town clerk? Seems the pot was calling the kettle black. But Mr Dellisanti’s motto is “Republicans appoint republicans.” And we’re not very happy when we feel we’ve been lied to. (We’ll be asking for Ms Finke’s attendance records by the FOIL process soon.)

Mr Jordan’s department couldn’t cough up enough documentation to choke a flea

And as for Mr Denis Jordan, New Baltimore town Highway Supervisor. He’s on vacation, too. But some time ago we learned that a laptop computer was purchased by the town of New Baltimore for Mr Jordan, to help him do his work. Well, it’s obviously not being used to keep records because in a recent response to a Freedom of Information Law demand for information, Mr Jordan’s department couldn’t cough up enough to choke a flea. So what’s Jordan using that computer for, anyway. We don’t expect anyone in New Baltimore Town Hall to know the answer to that one; after all, Jordan and town hall aren’t on speaking terms since the town board demanded their versions of transparency and accountability.

The Camera Doesn’t Lie

(but maybe the supervisor, deputy supervisor and a sheriff’s deputy do have a problem with truth-telling)

We’ve done a slideshow of the photos of the situation for your amusement:

For two days, Friday, April 24, 2015, and Saturday, April 25, 2015, a New Baltimore resident in the National Historic District was communicating with town of New Baltimore Supervisor Nick Dellisanti, and attempting to communicate with town of New Baltimore town clerk, Barbara Fink, about the fact that on those two days the one-way street Madison Avenue East was cordoned off with traffic cones, and on Saturday, in addition to the traffic cones, a large dump truck with an equipment trailer was blocking the street. This was obviously not town work being done, and it was not just closing the street for a reasonable time but for most of the day.

It was obvious that some trees were being taken down but what was also obvious was that there were no signs directing traffic, no flagmen, no safety precautions whatsoever. This was private elective work being done by a private contractor, and so the obvious questions that popped up was: Was the town of New Baltimore administration aware of this? Are these people authorized to close a public street and to redirect traffic. If so do they have a permit authorizing them to do so? Why were residents not informed? Who was liable for residents having to travel the wrong way on one-way streets for the two days, that being the only way they could get to their homes? We think it was reasonable to ask such questions and to get some clear, unabiguous answers from town supervisor Dellisanti or one of his minions. We were wrong.

The resident first fired off an e-mail to the town of New Baltimore clerk, Ms Barbara Finke, copying town supervisor Nick Dellisanti. The email reads:

Dear Clerk:
Today, on April 24, 2015, tree removal on the Northeast, corner of Rt 144 and Madison Avenue East, the Boyd property, has been going on since this morning.
On return from an appointment I found that Madison Avenue East was closed and blocked off with traffic cones, preventing access to New Street. In order to access New Street and home, I had to drive opposite to the direction of one way traffic on either Madison Avenue East or on New Street. There were obvious liability, safety, not to mention legal considerations when doing this.
I have several questions that require answers immediately:
 (1) Was the town of New Baltimore notified of the tree removal operations?
(2) Is a permit required for such operations when they affect public transit?
(3) Is a permit required for operations that require closure of a public roadway?
(4) Is a permit required for redirecting traffic on a public roadway for private purposes?
(5) If a permit was required, was one applied for?
(6) If a permit was applied for and issued, when will the permit be available for inspection?
(7) What safety or monitoring precautions were provided by the town of New Baltimore during this operation?
(8) If a permit were required and none was applied for and, consequently, none issued, what are the intentions of the town of New Baltimore to follow up on this matter?
Thank you for your a.s.a.p. response.
Please confirm receipt of my below message.
Thank you!

“I am in receipt of your e-mail and will get back to you as soon as I get the answers to your questions. Barb Finke is on vacation this week, so I will get back to you.
Nick Dellisanti “
The resident hadn’t heard from Dellisanti but at around 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2015, reported to Dellisanti:
“Good morning:
“Again, today, on April 25, 2015, at 7:30 a.m. the street is blocked by traffic cones on the Madison Avenue East/Rt 144 one-way end. There are no signs, no flagmen, no indications of detours. The only access to Madison Avenue and New Street is opposite to the posted one-way traffic.
Since I have not heard from you since my timely notification of April 24, 2015, and your response that you would get the answers to the questions I made, I have several additional questions that I would like addressed:
1) Has anyone from the town visited the concerned area, specifically, has anyone from the town board or the Highway Department visited the area.
2) Has anyone from the town made inquiries as to who is doing the work and blocking off the streets, specifically, has anyone from the town board or the Highway Department made such inquiries since my initial notification?
3) Has the town undertaken to involve law enforcement to investigate or to provide safety support during the operations going on on Madison Avenue East and in view of the traffic obstructions and diversions?
4) What documentation is being kept of any response to any of my questions.
I have photographs of the situation if you require them.
I may take the opportunity to have my observations published and to address the New Baltimore town board on this issue after having announced the presentation.
Looking forward to a satisfactory explanation for this situation.”
Did they or didn't they need a permit to block the street for two days?

Did they or didn’t they need a permit to block the street for two days?

Following that, Dellisanti writes back:

whacky weed necklace
“Good morning. As an update, yesterday I contacted our Highway Department. Superintendent Jordan is out of town, but his deputy, Scott VanWormer said he is not aware of any permits that the homeowner is required to get from the town. I am still waiting for a response from our building inspector , and I’ve contacted the Deputy Sheriff to make an inspection this morning.
“As soon as I get a report from the Deputy Sheriff, I will get back to you.
“Nick Dellisanti “
and
“At 9:10am the Deputy Sheriff reported to me that the tree job is complete and the road is open.
Deputy Supervisor Ruso did stop by last night and he did say that the road was open and wood was piled up on the homeowners lawn.
“Thank you,
“Nick Dellisanti”
To which, the now perturbed, that is, pissed off resident replies:
Well, Nick, it appears the town of New Baltimore administration has fallen flat on its arse…again. You guys operate expecting to see the Easter Bunny and see Santa Claus instead, then concluding that there’s no Easter Bunny. You guys may not get it but it’s a matter of timing! You have to look for the Easter Bunny at Easter; if you look in December, you’re likely to see Santa Claus.
The question is not to investigate after the incident! You investigate when the incident is reported. If that’s how local law enforcement is going to perform, we need some changes, maybe starting with the Greene County Sheriff! Another example: When the burglary is reported we expect law enforcement to respond, not to react the day after and report that they found that no one was in the building, then concluding there was no intruder and hence no burglary. Do you follow this line of reasoning?
The point is that on two days the road was blocked off. I posed some very specific questions that I want answered; not a piss-poor report like “Well the dog was not barking when I drove by on Sunday while inspecting the parks.” (Remember that one?) Or Mr Tanner’s famous one, “I went by x times butt didn’t see a dog or hear any barking when I drove by. You’ll have to sign a complaint.” Well, when Mr Tanner finishes his shift with the DOT and just happens to drive by, it’s likely he may not find the dog outside because the owners are home from their outing!!!!
I’m getting the impression that the current New Baltimore town board elected last year is a one-term group; actually I’m pretty sure it’s going to be a one-term group judging by some of the performance. I can only work with what you hand me, Nick.
Excuses or explanations for not being able to respond like the Highway Super is on vacation or the Clerk is on vacation or ‘The lights are on but nobody’s home” does not speak well for performance. From my office window, I still see people driving up Madison Avenue East the wrong way on the one-way street. Can you tell me what’s wrong with this picture? Give it a shot. I know you can figure it out.
Please answer my specific questions and I’ll take it from there. Or don’t answer my specific questions and I’ll take it from there.
Wishing you all the best,
No sooner had the resident hit the send key than he observed several vehicles moving up Madison Avenue East going the wrong way on the one way street; several of these were residents. The only conclusion to be drawn was that they could not get down Madison Avenue East. So what’s Dellisanti and his sheriff’s deputy talking about one wonders? The resident writes:
“No sooner said than done!
The white stump removal telescope truck just drove the wrong way up Madison Avenue East!!!!
Now, that[‘s] safety in the National Historic District!
I really need better answers from you, Nick.
Thanks very much.
followed by:
“At 1:18 p.m., Madison Avenue East in the National Historic District is still blocked by traffic cones and a large trailer/dump truck apparently used to transport excavation equipment. There are no detour signs, no flagmen. Residents are being observed traveling up the wrong way on the one-way streets. What precautions are being taken to control/monitor this situation and to safeguard the safety and liabilities of residents being forced to find alternate routes, forced to ignore traffic safety postings, and forced into potential liability situations?”
and then by:
“The report you allegedly received from the deputy sheriff is grossly incorrect. This is obvious by the continuing work being done, the heavy equipment blocking Madison Avenue East and the traffic cones. Please provide the name of the deputy sheriff providing you with the grossly inaccurate report and the source of the information he received and reported to you.”
and finally by:
“Did Mr Ruso expect, when he stopped by “last night” that the workmen and the equipment would still be there? A bit idiotic, I’d say. They usually quite at around 4:30 or earlier, similar to most such occupations on a Friday. They returned on Saturday morning at around 8:30.”
This is an example of the kind of runaround a resident gets when there is clearly a problem in the Hamlet. There’s a sort of imbecilic reasoning going on in the heads of members of the town of New Baltimore board members and officers — and these characters were elected to replace the last bunch of fruitcakes — that qualify them for what the pestilence of New Baltimore, Cut-and-Paste Joan R., calls “Newbaltimorons.”
high on whacky weed

Dellisanti, Ruso: No obstruction on Madison Avenue East. Hey, man! Did you see that flying pink bison just go by? Freaky, man!

So the message the town of New Baltimore supervisor Dellisanti and his “deputy supervisor” Jeff Ruso, together with the statement of “deputy” highway superintendent Scott VanWormer is that you can block hamlet streets whenever you like for as long as you like and you don’t need a permit. Furthermore, you can do it and the New Baltimore town supervisor Nick Dellisanti will send his “deputy supervisor” as some time during the night to verify that there’s no obstruction, and they’ll send a sheriff’s deputy who will report that there’s no work going on and the street’s clear. The real message is that we have either a bunch of pathological liars or psychopaths totally separated from reality occupying New Baltimore town hall and the Greene County Sheriff’s substation in the town hall. Either that or they think that residents in New Baltimore are either abysmally stupid or smoking whacky-weed and hallucinating. Whichever the real situation is, it is grave indeed for New Baltimore.
Give us a freakin' break, Dellisanti! The Editor You know, Nick, the one who's holding your feet to the fire.
