What the Local Media Have Missed: Peter J. McKenna, A Shining Star in a Dark Basement

As our many thousands of readers are aware, we have regularly reported on the Town of Coeymans Police Department, and the majority of those reports were utterly grim, reports of abuse, corruption, misuse of power, bullying, and generally the worst of the worst. Then, we were pleased to report on the terminations of Gregory “Dumpy Dumplin’” Darlington and his darling Gerald “Dirty–Hands–Jerry” Deluca, which we surmised was their choice to either go or be prosecuted. Since Darlington and Deluca have disappeared so, too, have the reports and complaints we regularly received. Once the new Chief, Peter J. McKenna, occupied the Chief’s office and cleaned up the garbage dump it had become, a real professional was in the driver’s seat. Things changed for the better almost overnight. Truth be told, we had our reservations about McKenna and we pulled no punches. But we do claim to publish the true facts and we have to own up to our misjudgment of the man and his capabilities. Much to our surprise, even the guy we used to refer to as “PsychoCop”,  Ryan Johnson, has been brought back to Coeymans and has proved to be a 180° reversal of his former image. All of this and much more as we report below is due to the professional management and mentoring by Coeymans Police Chief Peter J. McKenna. That having been said, we also have to ask Why? Phil Crandall and his den of bullies are so intent on making life difficult for the Chief and his Department.  Could it be they realize they don’t have crooks and cowards in the Department any more? Can’t they cope with dealing with real professional and ethical law enforcement, and a Chief who has management and communications skills that surpass those of Crandall and his bullies together? Read our article below and you decide.

That having been said, it’s truly beyond comprehension that the local media, especially the Ravena News Herald, can use more than a page of newsprint to report on a lost and recovered dog, and can miss a story like this. Where do they have their heads? Do you know, Mr John Johnson or Vince Vinciguerra of the Johnson Newspaper Group?

New, Improved, Community Sensitive

Peter J. McKenna, A Shining Star in a Dark Basement

and a Bright New Concept of Law Enforcement in the Town of Coeymans

In 2016, Chief Peter J. McKenna had a real opportunity strut his stuff and to use his experience in managing a department rounded out by personal hirings.  Starting in 2015, McKenna has been selecting experienced Police Officers who wanted to continue working part time in an industry they had dedicated their lives to, and paired them with young men and women just beginning their careers in Law Enforcement.  The new hires attended both full and part-time law enforcement academies without being paid for that time.  By combining new with experienced, two objectives were accomplished; the newer Officers were trained by seasoned law enforcement professionals, with experience in police supervision, criminal investigations, narcotics investigations, traffic safety, and community policing.  The grouping of part-time police officers provided a steady work schedule, minimizing the need to fill shifts with overtime (which comes from filling shifts with or for full time police officers).  In previous years, the schedule was completely monthly, but by agreement with the union, McKenna and the Department moved to a quarterly schedule.  Providing consistency afforded the rank and file a sense of continuity, and the need to fill shifts “at the last minute” dropped significantly. Now, that’s just background. The real meat – and – potatoes facts follow:

A facelift for Coeymans Police! No more harassing our kids!

A facelift for Coeymans Police!
No more harassing our kids!
Now they’re mentoring and protecting them.

Chief Peter J. McKenna

Chief Peter J. McKenna

When Coeymans Police Chief Peter J. McKenna was hired to be Chief in late 2014, the department had two full – time sergeant positions.  One of those positions was an evening supervisor, and the other, Sgt Ryan Johnson, was detailed to another agency (the DEA).  Prior to Chief McKenna’s , the sergeants were the primary on-call supervisors when there were only patrol officers working the shift.  When Chief McKenna assumed leadership of the department, he became the “first call” for any circumstances that required a supervisor; in other words, Chief McKenna was always on–call to supervise the department and its officers. By being on–call, Chief McKenna reduced the amount of overtime by the highest-paid officers in the department.

In 2015, Sergeant Dan Contento moved from a Supervisory Patrol position to the School Resource Officer (SRO) position (when school is in session).  Although this did not reflect in a the direct reduction in costs in the departmental budget, what it did mean is an indirect savings: Here’s how:  By placing a sergeant-grade officer in the SRO spot Chief McKenna made possible a salary reimbursement to the town for the time Contento is dedicated to the school district as the school SRO.  The great news is that because of Chief McKenna’s excellent management and planning , the Town of Coeymans was reimbursed more than $41,000 of the Sergeant Contento’s salary by the RCS school district in FY 2016.  Anyone with half of a brain would expect, and we believe this reimbursement should have been returned or at least returned to the Coeymans Police Department’s budget allocations, but this is not Coeymans Town Supervisor Philip Crandall’s reasoning. Crandall says it should be viewed as town revenue and placed in the Town’s general fund (obviously in order to hire a Crandall crony during a hiring and spending freeze).  That makes no sense to us at all and it appears that Crandall is abusing superior management by withholding well earned incentive from the Coeymans Police Department, incentive that was earned by virtue of Chief McKenna’s wise judgment and management experience. This reasoning is further supported by the fact that, by assigning the sergeant–grade officer to the school, the reimbursement to the Coeymans Police Department is about 10,000 dollars more than it would be if a patrol officer were to have filled the position.

We say that Crandall’s mismanagement of the money saved by Chief McKenna’s management of his law enforcement staff is wrong! Crandall has no right to take that money reimbursed by the RCS school district and padding his cronies’ pockets while abusing Chief McKenna’s professional management, and at the same time refusing to allocate funds to the Coeymans Police Department for needed equipment and activities.

[Editor’s Note: We will be publishing in an upcoming article some information that supports this evaluation of Phil Crandall’s physical and financial bullying of Town of Coeymans professional staff. Phil Crandall has an inferiority complex that is aggravated by stupidity. But more on that later with proof how he has no money in the budget for workers but plenty for his cronies!]

Crandal, Youmans, Dolan Miss the Good Ol' Days...

Crandal, Youmans, Dolan Miss the Good Ol’ Days…

The second sergeant-grade position, that of Sgt Ryan Johnson, was detailed by Chief McKenna’s predecessor, Gregory “Dumpy Dumplin” Darlington to another agency, the DEA..  That redeployment of a Coeymans police sergeant did not have the positive effect of returning funds back to the Department, since the sergeant’s salary was not reimbursed but only the overtime incurred (up to a predetermined amount) was reimbursable. The fact that the sergeant’s salary was not reimbursed was the result of poor negotiation and even worse management by Chief McKenna’s predecessor “Dumpy Dumplin'” Darlington. Chief McKenna brought Sergeant Ryan Johnson back to the Department in October 2016,  with the result that the Department was able to reduce 1 patrol position, and fill it with returned sergeant. The bottom line is that Coeymans now was paying the sergeant for services rendered to Coeymans and not to an outside agency and a patrol position was eliminated, further increasing the net savings!

Chief McKenna has succeeded in slimming down a bloated deparment created by his predecessors

Under previous Department management, there were two “part-time” Investigator positions, 1 detailed Senior Investigator position,  several so – called “B line positions”, an SRO position (school security), two “C line positions”, 1 supervisory C line position and an A line spot. [Editor’s Note: A, B, and C positions might be confusing so here is the key:  B is days, C is 4-midnight and A is midnight to 8 am. Hope that helps!]  The SRO, a 1 day position, the Sr. Investigator position, the C line position, the A line position, and C line supervisor position were all full time.  Before Chief McKenna, these positions provided full benefits such as vacation, sick and personal days off, which meant when a full time officer took the day off, his position, was filled with a part time officer, effectively paying two people for 1 working spot.  The part time Investigator spots routinely logged far more hours than the budget allocation [Editor’s Note: at best this was an indication of lousy management, ignorance of budgeting and a lack of familiarity with the department’s operation; in reality it was more likely Darlington’s padding his darlings’ pockets with town money.] Furthermore, before Chief McKenna took over the Department the “time management” for patrol shifts was uneven.  With McKenna’s hiring practices in place, he was able to alter the hours of some patrol shifts to provide two – person coverage twenty to twenty-two hours a day, and reduce unnecessary redundancies in patrol shifts;  Instead of the consistent A-B-C lines, McKenna put some officers on noon to 8 p.m. shifts, some (on Saturdays and Sundays on 12 hour shifts from 8a.m. to 8 p.m.), and the return of Sergeant Ryan Johnson to full dedication to Coeymans allowed the Department to employ Sgt Ryan Johnson in a dual capacity as a supervisor and as a patrol officer. According to Chief McKenna, his logic is that Coeymans is not so large a department that the positions need to be compartmentalized.

Chief McKenna has been able to reduce the excess hours, non-essential shifts, redundancy of tasks, and trim the budget by more than $60,000 dollars from the scheduled amount in the budget

Having a supervisor on during this shift also eliminates the need to contact an off-duty supervisor at home if circumstances would require.  The Department before McKenna had previously provided only one officer working the midnight shift; McKenna’s scheduling now allows for two-officer coverage from midnight until 4 a.m.  Monday through Friday while RCS schools are in session, the SRO (Sgt. Dan Contento) reports for duty before the school buses drop off students; on this scheduling he is available to back up the patrol officer from 6:30 a.m. until 8 a.m., if needed. In order days off, monitoring hours worked, details filled, and shifts filled or vacated, Chief McKenna has been able to reduce the excess hours, non-essential shifts, redundancy of tasks, and trim the budget by more than $60,000 dollars from the scheduled amount in the budget. In addition, to this McKenna has succeeded in adding salary reimbursements to the positive bottom line, which has enhanced the Town of Coeymans budget by more than $10,000 at least. Compare those savings to Crandall’s ongoing spending sprees!

Chief McKenna has made his Department’s priority that of having patrol officers capable and available to meet the needs of the Coeymans community.  McKenna’s guiding principle is: “If we can do that, and reduce the burden on the taxpayers by even a little bit, everybody wins.”

fiscal-responsibility

Chief McKenna’s Plan

According to McKenna when asked about his feelings regarding Crandall’s grabbing the salary reimbursements engineered by McKenna and his deployment of Department personnel, McKenna thoughtfully responded:

“If I had any regrets about the windfall returned to the town coffers, it would be that I believe I am trying to maintain a professional department, without creating an undue financial burden on the people, yet still providing a safe and secure town and village.  The previous chief had his own printer, which died shortly after I took over.  I did not ask to replace it, as we have additional printers in the department I can utilize.  I have not dipped into petty cash.  Three of the patrol vehicles were purchased with seizure funds.  My only regret is that I believe I am fiscally conservative.  When I asked to outfit two vehicles purchased at the end of 2015 with lights and sirens, so as to reduce the stress on our fleet of cars, and allow for an extended life of the vehicles we have, it was denied, citing “financial stress”.”

crandall-head

Supervisor Phil Crandall

[Editor’s Note: I am hard pressed to understand How? denying a department head access to funds saved through his management of his department during a fiscal year, can be justified on the basis of “financial stress”. Our question is this: Where is the budgeted money and the reimbursed money going, Mr Crandall? You’re the CFO (chief financial officer) of the town! And besides, how many assistants does a small town supervisor need? And an accountant at $100/hour. Come on, Crandall, do you think we’re as stupid as you look? I am even more hard pressed to understand Mr Crandall’s refusal to extend the life of Department equipment by minor investment in equipment for those vehicles. It is outrageous that Crandall and his bully cronies on the Coeymans Town Board take those savings realized by the Chief without the Chief’s input, and offset bloated payroll issues created by Crandall’s extravagance in hiring for his own office.  Case in point: When the supervisor’s office went almost 9% over budget on payroll for 2 people — we’ll be reporting on this in the next article giving names and money amounts —, and one of them is salaried.  The Town of Coeymans under Crandall and his cronies on the Coeymans Town Board has created a Human Resources department that has cost an additional $12,000 dollars — we’ll be reporting on this, too, giving names and money amounts—, and we have a Finance Officer working full time, earning nearly 50,000 dollars, while the accountant hired to check the work earns over 100 dollars per hour. We don’t understand how this can go unnoticed by the public and by the local media, especially when NYS law makes the town supervisor the chief financial officer (CFO) of the town! We believe that Chief McKenna has a firm grip and a professional understanding about budgeting the funds necessary to run his Department but it doesn’t appear that Supervisor Crandall or the town board has half the savvy of the Police Chief. Not when Mr Crandall goes on a hiring spree and then has to steal from the Coeymans Police Department to cover his abuses. But as will become clear in our next article, Crandall does not limit his abuse of public office to the Coeymans Police Department, his bully tactics extend to another professional employee’s department, too.

We’ll be asking to see the books to verify the time and payments to Linda Ziegler (part-time in Crandall’s office), Darryl Purinton @ $105/hr in Crandall’s office. Yes! You read that right, $105/hr. Nita Chmielewski (full-time in Crandall’s office) @ $24.54/hr. Cindy Rowzee (full-time in Crandall’s office) @ $16/hr. And to report to our readers about the overtime abuses by Crandall’s minions — he seems to have collected his own little henhouse, a veritable harem for himself. Does Mrs Crandall know?]

Both the young professionals and their veteran trainers are committed to performing to the highest standards of ethics, professionalism, and integrity.

Coeymans has seen four of the officers McKenna hired move on to full – time employment elsewhere.  After having received their training and mentoring from veteran professional law enforcement like McKenna and Contento, even from a matured Ryan Johnson, we would have liked to have seen these up–and–coming men and women stay and grow in the Law Enforcement field right here in Coeymans. The problem is really simple: Coeymans cannot compete with the salaries elsewhere, and with a town administration like Phil Crandall’s that slaps community – minded management and service in the face and that insists on shooting itself in the foot, those salaries and the benefits packages, as well as career advancement opportunities offered by larger departments will attract talented professionals away from Coeymans.  It’s not a total loss, though, because from the time these young recruits come to serve on the Coeymans Police Department, the people of the Town of Coeymans receives the dedicated service of a group of young professionals, who are committed to a career in Police Work and law enforcement, who receive training and mentoring by highly qualified veteran law enforcement officers while they are here.  Both the young professionals and their veteran trainers are committed to performing to the highest standards of ethics, professionalism, and integrity.  As an officer – in – training, these recruits need to give their utmost in order to become certified as law enforcement professionals.  Chief Mckenna doesn’t take the vetting process for these candidates lightly, and believes the obvious fact that these officers trained in Coeymans are now coveted by larger departments; this should be interpreted as a reflection of how vigilant McKenna and his veterans are in their efforts to find the best people for the job.

One of the hallmarks of our Coeymans Police Department is the too-often misused term “community-policing”.  For McKenna, that term means men and women, who interact with the public and don’t just drive past them, pull them over, or act as if a service call is an inconvenience.  McKenna and his personnel acknowledge and appreciate who pays their salaries.  They know that they are here because the people of this town want them here.  Property checks, bicycle patrol, walking beats, ATV details, crossing guard details; all these things get us out into the public, among our friends, neighbors, employers, interacting, and having an opportunity to listen and tohear what the community wants and expects from their own law enforcement professionals.  McKenna has vision and hope for the revitalization in the Town and Hamlet of Coeymans and Village of Ravena, and for the surrounding areas; nothing would give him greater joy than seeing storefronts filled with goods and service opportunities, instead of vacancy signs and deteriorating real estate everywhere you look.

McKenna Redefines Community Law Enforcement

McKenna Redefines Community Law Enforcement

McKenna, in keeping with his community contact policy, makes the effort to at least try to visit every business, with whom he and his Department interact, and McKenna looks to introduce himself to people in the community, so they know that they can actually call or stop in his office for any reason.  McKenna’s present and available and he makes that fact known to the community. Of course, there are times and places that he misses the chance to follow-up with people in the community, but he does express the sincere hope that those who feel he didn’t respond or do enough will call him, or stop in again.  [Editor’s Note: If anyone feels this is not the case, we at Smalbany would like your inputs and we’ll follow up, of course. Either leave a comment at the end of this article or send us an email at rcs.confidential@gmail.com] McKenna is one man literally fighting Town Hall so it’s not that he’s dissing anyone or that he doesn’t want to reach out to local businesses and business owners, the understandable fact is that he sometimes gets overrun, and misses the chance to finish what may have been started. Our suggestion to any business or business owner who would like to discuss any particular issue or who has the interest and time to foster a collaborative relationship with Chief McKenna and the Coeymans Police Department to call him, pay him a visit. You’ll find him the most generous and cordial man you’ll probably ever meet in Coeymans Town Hall. And we’d love to know about your impressions and experiences if you do that.

In conclusion, despite the abuses and the obstacles set by Crandall and his bullies, the Chief appears not to have any issues with the disrespect he receives from the mob upstairs, the ignorance he has to live with and lack of appreciation from Crandall, or the budget he has to work with. Judging from our observations, our conversations, and the facts we have gathered, we are confident — and we believe that Chief McKenna is as well — that if he and his Department is given the opportunity to provide input into hiring and purchasing, and the town government wakes up and stops hamstringing him in his efforts, he will continue provide a full measure of service to the Town of Coeymans and the Village of Ravena.  If Crandall and his cronies continue to obstruct the Chief’s efforts by placing obstacles and roadblocks, and the Chief is stymied in efforts to professionally and conscientiously, and responsibly manage his Department and to move the Department forward in service of the community, the task of keeping the community safe and protected will become increasingly difficult, if not impossible.

At this point in time, the Chief foresees at least two young officers leaving the Coeymans Department in the coming months in order to accept full – time employment in larger departments. If the Chief is not given the latitude and resources necessary to adjust for these losses, the future may become a very difficult challenge for this community in terms of safety, response, and service.

We feel that Mr Crandall and the Coeymans town board should take a very critical look at their own egregious misconduct and their lack of concern for the integrity of Coeymans government. We, and we hope we are joined by our friends and neighbors in Coeymans, especially the business community in the Town of Coeymans, to demand that Chief McKenna be given a voice and an regular opportunity to share his vision, his plans, his challenges, and his solutions with the Coeymans community, and at every opportunity in town administration activities. We encourage Chief McKenna to insist on being on the agenda at Town of Coeymans working meetings and regular Town Board meetings, to present his regular reports, and that those reports be “on the record” and in the minutes for the public’s information. We further encourage the local and regional media to establish and nurture liaison with Chief McKenna and his Department, and that the media provide opportunity and space for the Chief’s regular reports.

In the meantime, we’d like to thank Coeymans Police Chief Peter McKenna for his fine service and dedication to this community in 2016, and to extend our sincerest best wishes to the Chief and his law enforcement professionals, and his officers – in – training for a safe and happy new year in the service of our community!!!

We'd like to remind you what's at stake for our law enforcement men and women, and their families. They're not desk jockeys, Mr Crandall! The Editor

Editor’s Heads – Up! Stay tuned for another block – buster report on the Crandall mob’s misuse of office and their abuse of town employees. We mentioned some of the double – standard hiring practices and financial irresponsibility exhibited by Crandall in this article but be prepared for an even more shocking exposé in our follow – up article, which will expose Crandall, Youmans, and Dolan as bullies and harassers, and the rest of the town board as cowards with no balls. When Crandall and Youmans were elected, we published an article with the title  “Return of the Scumbuckets! Coeymans Does It Again!” in Coeymans Town Hall. Our reports confirm that observation.

Crandall Board Puts Spin on Budget Error — Uses Censorship to Suppress Truth!

  • Urgent Correction and Apology: Back in November 2015, we wrote that Coeymans voters, having elected disgraced former town justice Phillip Crandal to be Coeymans Town Supervisor, and after having elected several local recycled politicos back into public office after having rejected them just four years ago, we must make the urgent correction to what we then wrote as well as extending an apology to town of Coeymans voters: We were in error when we wrote that the town of Coeymans deserves what they voted for; that was the error. The correction is: Not even Coeymans deserves what they now have sitting on the town board headed by disgraced ex – judge Phillip Crandal and his partners in crimes Tom Dolan, Jim Youmans, and that backstabbling sneaky arse, Dick [as in dork] Touchette, who you elected to the Albany County legislature. No, not even the ignorant and the corrupt of the town of Coeymans deserves that load of raw sewerage. And so we apologize for the error, and correct it.

Crandall Censors Flach Letter, Covers Crandall-Mob’s Back

Crooks and corruption covering for each other at the expense of honest employees and taxpayers

Phil Crandall's Truth Requires Censorship

Phil Crandall’s Version of Truth Requires Censorship

The most recent flood of misinformation that Phil Crandall and his mob are drowning the community in was discussed at the April 21, 2016, Coeymans town board meeting. The rather lengthy discussion focused on an alleged overpayment to about 8 town employees, allegedly all elected officials, and the majority of those being attacked are the opposition party. But guess What? In order to backstab the Republican elected officials, Crandall had to throw his two democrap town justices Kevin Reilly and George Dardiani and boardmember Tom Dolan under the bus, too. Crandall doesn’t even mention his pet judges in the minutes, and he makes certain to shower croney Dolan with thanks and gratitude to soften the blow. Crooks and corruption covering for each other at the expense of honest employees and taxpayers.

We have acquired papers that will shed some truth and light on the subject, something residents and taxpayers didn’t get at the town board meeting nor will they be likely to get anywhere but here.

Crandall and his co–conspirators wanted to make it pay–back time

First of all, let’s just say that the way Mr Crandall handled the issue was improper and simply not right. This is an internal matter that should have been handled internally, not thrown out into the public arena to be misinterpreted and to promote a scandal. But that’s apparently what Crandall and his co–conspirators wanted to make it pay–back time and to punish anyone not in their pockets or in bed with them.

Here’s why we say that:

pay-period leap year sidebarThe Officially Approved Minutes of the April 21, 2016 Coeymans Town Board Meeting are the only record available to the public to document what occurred at the town board meeting. The minutes were approved by the majority of the board, even if those minutes are nonsense and themselves reveal their own lack of credibility.

We have acquired the officially approved minutes of the Coeymans town board meeting, approved by Crandall, Dolan, Youmans, and Burns — Mr Langdon was excused and absent. In those minutes, Mr Crandall announces that “there was a mistake made in the town’s pay periods…last year [2015] here were 27 pay periods instead of 26, which happens every 11 years.” So far he’s being truthful but it stops there. You see, Coeymans town supervisor Phil Crandall and his cronies Tom Dolan and Jim Youmans are very uncomfortable with the truth—that is, if it’s not their specially cooked version of the truth.

Crandall reports information he had known some 5 weeks earlier but didn’t say anything. The information turned up after Sara Morrison, a CPA working “weekends” and being paid big bucks by voucher by Crandall’s administration, “audited” the 2015 budget, finding that the payroll for that period was divided by 26 rather than by 27; the result was that there was an “extra” pay period (two – week’s pay). Crandall says that Morrison brought this mistake to the former town supervisor’s attention back in April 2015 (Note the date!). But what Crandall is ignorant of is the fact that it’s not an “extra” pay period, and doesn’t represent an actual “overpayment” but is rather a normal calendar phenomenon that occurs every 11 years! It’s as natural as sunshine!

Let me stop here for a minute and tell you that the town of Coeymans uses an automated payroll software from BAS (Business Automation Services; to see what their municipal government package includes, go to Municipal Accounting, a business solutions provider in Clifton Park. The problem, it appears, was in the software being used, and how well it was doing what it was purchased to do. It wasn’t!

Not only was the BSA software to blame but the CPA, Sarah Morrison, and the other accounting/bookkeeping/payroll employees were apparently oblivious to the so-called “payroll leap year”, and failed to notify town employees that it was going to occur; not that that fact should have changed anything. The employees would still be entitled to the additional pay period, truth be told.

But here’s another failure in Crandall’s attempt to blacken Coeymans employees: The 2015 town budget was created and approved in late 2014, on November 19, 2014.That budget went into effect on January 1, 2015. Crandall was elected together with Youmans and Dolan in November 2015, and the Coeymans town budget was finalized in that same month (Tom Dolan actually worked on the 2015 and 2016 budgets) so we’d expect the incoming board, especially the incoming chief fiscal officer of the town, the supervisor, Mr Crandall, to be very well informed on the previous budget and the present budget. The current budget went into effect on January 1, 2016, the day Mr Crandall was sworn in to be Coeymans town supervisor.

Mr “Corruption” Crandall and his scheister minion David Wukitsch are using unfair intimidation tactics to scare employees into making good on the town accountants’ mistakes.

So, loyal readers, this whole hullabaloo about being overpaid is a big smoke and mirrors performance, a dog and pony act staged by Phil Crandall and his band of halfwits! According to the sidebar and the links above, 81% of employers just go with the flow every 11 years. So why all the publicity? In fact, if the town employees, whether exempt or non-exempt, hourly or salary, were not notified of the pay-period leap year effects and the possibility of a lower paycheck due to the 27 pay period cycle, and it was not spelled out in their contracts we don’t think that the town of Coeymans has any right to demand a reimbursement! It’s the town of Coeymans error, not the fault of the employees. Mr Corruption Crandall and his Scheister minion David Wukitsch are using unfair intimidation tactics to scare employees into making good on the towns accountants’ mistakes. Furthermore, they’re misusing their pubic office to misinform residents and taxpayers about the situation and trying to shift the blame to the innocent employees, while causing many of the unnecessary stress and anxiety not only by demanding that the employees pay back what 81% of normal employers would just accept as an 11-year rarity but also by tarnishing the employees’ images as public and elected officials. In our opinion, that’s tantamount to actionable defamation! How about a tort suit for defamation among other tort causes! Tuck that in your Depends® Mr Crandall and Mr Wukitsch! We say the affected employees should bring a lawsuit against the Crandall administration and their overpaid CPA, Sarah Morrison, and BAS!

What also irks us is the fact that while Crandall and his lackies are pointing fingers at innocent town employees who are only getting paid normally, Crandall, Youmans and Dolan are bringing back their cronies and hiring them, putting them on the town payroll. What about that cost to the town and taxpayers? Why did Crandall and his cronies increase the town planning board to 7 members, 2 more than Mr Flach felt was needed when he reduced the board to 5 members? Why does the town need to pay a high-priced CPA, Sarah Morrison, PLUS anonther overpaid dingo, Darryl Puritan (at more than $100/hr), plus Nita Chmielewski as town bookkeeper, PLUS Cindy Rowzee as an assistant bookkeeper?!?!?

We also think the affected employees who received Mr Wukitsch’s intimidation letter should file a formal complaint with the bar association because of Mr Wukitsch’s unprofessional conduct to the bar association and professional ethics enforcers. Misusing his position to wrongfully intimidate may result in disciplinary action being taken against him.

Yet another person comes on the stage with one Cathy Hanley, an employee of BAS, who allegedly prepares the W2 forms for Coeymans employees, who, Crandall claims, brought the error to former Coeymans bookkeeper, Matthew Weidman, who was replaced by Nita J. Chmielewski, former Coeymans town supervisor for a very short time before she had to resign because of math mistakes in the town budget that led back to her. She can’t do math but now she’s the town of Coeymans bookkeeper. Go figure! Only in Coeymans!

And so are the Coeymans town board!

And so are the Coeymans town board!

Editor’s note: As far as we have been able to discover, the town of Coeymans has quite a number of people involved in bookkeeping and payroll other than BAS. In addition to Sarah Morrison who bills by voucher and gets paid megabucks, there’s Darrell Puritan who, as a “weekend worker” — whatever that is — gets at least $100/hour, then there’s Nita Chmielewski, who is clerk to the supervisor, and also replaced M. Weidman as town bookkeeper despite her dubious math skills, and then there’s Cindy Rowzee who was hired to be Crandall’s part-time confidential secretary but also works as an assistant bookkeeper. Sounds like financial overkill to us. But after all this financial talent is taken into consideration, we are still dealing with a phony “payroll mistake.” How does that work, anyway? We’d like to ask who’s getting the kickbacks from all of this financial overkill?

This boils down to several important facts, which Mr Crandall conveniently fails to observe. First of all, how could Morrison audit a budget that was not yet fully implemented for 2015. You see, the budget for the fiscal year 2015 was proposed and finalized in November 2014, and went into effect on January 1, 2015. That budget was not yet fully implemented by April 2015 and so really couldn’t have been “audited”. Moreover, if Cathy Hanley, an employee of BSA allegedly brought her observations to the attention of the then town bookkeeper, Matthew Weidman, Mr Weidman certainly would have made a note of the “error” then. But what puzzles us is that Mr Crandall says that a contract employee of the town of Coeymans, CPA Sarah Morrison informed former supervisor Stephen Flach of the “error.” Certainly, anyone who knows Flach would have to admit that this is not the sort of thing Mr Flach would have pooh – poohed and swept under the carpet; truth be told, Stephen Flach was honest to a flaw and as ethical as can be, which probably led to his downfall to the scoundrels. But there was no mistake, no error, in reality no overpayment at all! It’s all a fraud cooked up by Crandall and his minions!

No! Our analysis of the facts and the documents tells a completely different story

No! Our analysis of the facts tells a completely different story than what Mr Crandall and his hoodlums would have the public believe. You see, BSA and their software are the real culprits. BSA apparently failed to take into account the gremlin that occurred every 11 years, and as a company providing business solutions they should have known of this occurrence! Think of it this way: When you buy income – tax filing software you expect it to be correct and accurate and your tend to trust it. Right? You don’t expect to have to check their formulas and figures against the tax code do you? Same thing applies to business solutions software like BSA’s. They claim their product does something and does it right; it’s not up to Mr Flach or Mr Weidmann to go back and check their software codes and algorithms to ensure that the BSA software works properly. Wouldn’t that be something Darryl Puritan — Oh! Puritan is another financial braniac who gets paid more than $100/hr as a weekend employee by the town of Coeymans — or Ms Sarah Morrison, another one who’s billing Coeymans megabucks for financial advice, should have caught and fixed? And does Mr Crandall expect that the affected town employees should have gone back to the software to check that it caught the 11 – year gizmo? Hell no! So why would Mr Crandall, in a public meeting, make it all sound like he was a hero and found this horrible misconduct, that is, Mr Flach and the affected employees had attempted to hide the fact that they had been overpaid — the so-called “overpayment” was spread out over 11 years that it amounted to less than 4%! In fact, it wasn’t an overpayment at all but a normal payment in a payroll leap year! Furthermore, it would not have become apparent until the end of the fiscal year, not in April 2015, not even halfway into the budget year! What’s the disgraced judge trying to pull here? Whatever it is he’s trying to feed us he was much better at fixing tickets for Tom Dolan and Dick Touchette. We were safer when he was a crooked judge; it’s hopeless now that he’s a crooked town supervisor.

Crandall's Snow Job

Crandall’s Snow Job

What’s more telling is that if you look at the political affiliations of the employees who allegedly were “overpaid” we find that 2/3 of the affected employees are Republicans! And guess What? The other third are Democrats but it gets even better. Two of the Democrats are sitting Coeymans town justices, Kevin Reilly and George Dardiani (tell you something about our judges? Are they all in bed with Crandall?) and the most scandalous is that the third Democrat is no less than Tom Dolan!!!! Dolan was on the board when the alleged payroll “error” in the 2015 budget was made!!! So say what you like, it seems to us that Crandall is taking pot shots at the opposition and, while thanking Tom Dolan profusely at the public meeting, doesn’t breath a word about the Democrap town justices who were “overpaid” as well!

It’s important to note that Coeymans Police Chief, Peter J. McKenna, was mentioned in the discussion but it must be made absolutely clear that the Chief was not overpaid; he actually took a pay cut!!! But Crandall never clarified that during the discussions and it’s not clear in the minutes either. Was the “oversight” intended to include the chief in the overpayment scandal without doing so directly and falsely? Now that’s pretty underhanded, isn’t it? But it’s Crandall all the way.

Former Coeymans supervisor’s Letter was to be read into the record but was censored by a dishonest and disgraced former judge…Phil Crandall

And what’s this about Phil Crandall refusing to let Mr Stephen Flach’s letter be read by town board member Kenneth Burns?!? The letter was addressed to the people of the town of Coeymans thru their town council! So we’re going to reproduce the text Mr Flach’s letter below. It was written to be read at the meeting into the official record but was censored by a dishonest and disgraced former judge who was forbidden ever to run for judicial office again but was elected to be town supervisor. Phil Crandall may be able to silence a Ken Burns but Crandall can’t silence this blog!!!

In a letter dated May 3, 2016, Mr Flach writes, verbatim:

Dear Town Board.

I received a letter from the attorney to the Town about an overpayment to me from December 2015. There was a pay periods that ended on 12 / 23 / 2015 [December 23,2015]. I paid that out on 12 / 30 / 2015 [December 30, 2015] I I thought that the last week of December and going into January was the 27th pay period, thus Peter Masti and I did not get paid for the last week of December, not realizing that it was already the 27th pay period the week before. I have enclosed a check back to the Town for the amount that was overpaid to me on December 30th. I made a mistake and I apologize to the board, the taxpayers, and those who were overpaid. I have encouraged those who were overpaid to reimburse the Town as soon as possible. I would hope that the town officials would give [redacted], [redacted], and anyone else affected, the time they need to pay this back.

I have not been involved with the Town since I left on December 31st and continue to hope that the current board does a great job as the elected officials in running the Town and doing what is best for the residents. Working for the Town is about serving the people with character and integrity, and I thank you for your service. It is unfortunate that some of the employees that are working for you are only interested in vengeance and not just doing their job. I pray that you five men continue to do your best for our town, and move our town forward.

Sincerely,
/  / signature/ /
Stephen Flach

Mr Flach enclosed his check in reimbursement of the alleged overpayment.

David Wukitsch, Coeymans town attorney, who, by the way was fired by the town of New Baltimore because he was allegedly a jerk

Several town employees addressed a joint letter to Phil Crandall as town supervisor and chief fiscal officer protesting how ineptly the matter was being handled and how it cast innocent employees in a false light. We think the letter is much too weak, but then we don’t have to work with Crandall and his mob on a day – to – day basis. The employees object to the ultimatum letter sent by David Wukitsch, town attorney, who, by the way was fired by the town of New Baltimore because he was a jerk. The employees complain that they were not properly notified of the overpayment and were never met with to discuss the amount allegedly owed. It must be said, though, that even Wukitsch’s letter states that it was a “payroll error”, that is, not the fault of the employees if the payroll people did not make the adjustment. It is unconscionable that Wukitsch tells the employees that they should reimburse the town “within the next 30 days.” How would you feel if in 30 days you would have to cough up more than $1,000.00 for something not your fault, even beyond your control?

Mr Burns really needs to get a pair of balls…He doesn’t need Phil Crandall’s blessing.

Now, we ask you, Why? wouldn’t Mr Crandall want this to be read into the record by Mr Kenneth Burns? What right does Mr Crandall have to censor this letter? Well, knowing Mr Crandall, Mr Dolan, and Mr Youmans, it’s clear that if this letter were read into the record, it would certainly have taken the edge off of their underhanded attack! But Mr Burns really needs to get a pair of balls; he doesn’t need Phil Crandall’s blessing to read a letter into the record if he so wishes.

Here’s another fact for our readers to ponder when thinking about Mr Crandall’s unscrupulous and dishonest tactics: Mr Crandall and Mr Youmans were campaigning for public office well in advance of November 2015. In fact, Jim “Bully” Youmans is a former town supervisor and should have been familiar with the 11–year issue, so why didn’t he catch it. He had an awful lot to say while he was campaigning! He should have at least acknowledged that it could easily be missed. But Tom “Dithering” Dolan has been on the board through several, at least 5 town budget proceedings, and he’s been blundering around town hall for even longer. In fact, he was involved in drafting, presenting and finalizing the 2015 town budget. Why didn’t he catch it back then? You see, it would be terribly inconvenient for Mr Crandall to have to admit that he and his cronies are just as much at fault as anyone else for not catching the so-called “mistake”. But they should have.

Mr Flach’s letter emphasizes Mr Flach’s integrity and honesty, and casts a very dark shadow on the Crandall administration

As to why he wouldn’t want Mr Flach’s letter read publically we can only say that Mr Flach’s letter emphasizes Mr Flach’s integrity and honesty and casts a very dark shadow on the Crandall administration. Yes, as Mr Flach writes, “it is unfortunate that some of the employees that are working for you are only interested in vengeance and not [in] just doing their job.” It’s non Crandall’s watch and under his questionable leadership that this is all happening, and it’s Mr Crandall and his cronies Youmans and Dolan who are dropping the ball and true to form, they’re trying to paint someone black for it. You can’t change them but you’re stuck with them for at least another 3 years or until someone sends them to jail. We do wonder, however, that Mr Flach was so quick to reimburse an overpayment that never was. We think he should have consulted an accountant before having done that.

Crandall is trying to scapegoat innocent, hard-working civil servants to bolster his own sick ego and to cover up his administration’s total lack of credibility and focus. Don’t take his bait; don’t fall into his trap!

There’s more and we’ll report on it in an upcoming article. Stay tuned we’ve got some dirt on Nita J. Chmielewski, the town planning board padding by Phil Crandall, and some really good stuff on the Coeymans – Carver Companies asbestos battle. It seems that it’s going to go to court…and you’re going to pay the tab for Crandall’s vendettas. But we now have names and we’re going to go public with them. Enjoy your town board, Coeymans. You asked for it.

Editor’s Note: Residents and taxpayers in other surrounding towns should be asking these same questions. Has New Baltimore missed the 11-year gremlin? Can New Baltimore residents and taxpayers be expecting their elected officials and public servants to be writing reimbursement checks to the town? More on this later.

High Marks for the RCS Community Library

The RCS Community Library under the direction of Judith Wines is doing a pretty fantastic job of getting some really interesting programs out to the community. In fact, when requested, we published the public information on an unusual but apparently very interesting and needed program that’s found a home at the RCS Community Library, Thanatology Café, a program that offers the opportunity to talk about death, dying, grief, mourning and death-related subjects.

We’ve read a pretty nice post on the Thanatology Café blog that is complimentary of the RCS Community Library and it’s staff, and we really think RCS should take note of the fine work the RCS Community Library is doing for the community.

Our more than 300,000 readers know well that we have no qualms about being outspoken when it comes to our community and the Ravena News Herald, but truth be told the Ravena News Herald and editor Melanie Lekocevic apparently have been generously supportive of the library and the Thanatology Café program, if our observations are correct. Fair is fair and when the News Herald is on the up and up, we want to be the first to say Nice job! Thank you!

BUT…

Churches, Funeral Homes, First Responders

Churches, Funeral Homes, First Responders

We do have some disturbing information though and we have verified it factually. Here we have an innovative program, Thanatology Café, sponsored by a reputable and highly-respected community organization, the RCS Community Library, and even getting the support of the Ravena News Herald but WTF!!!!! We have information that about 100 information packets were sent out to local churches and public service organizations, including fire departments, EMS, first responders, and police departments, including the Coeymans fire and rescue squad, the Ravena Hose Company, and the Coeymans Police Department, just to name a few, and it appears none of those organizations responded.

Local churches have their hands out for stipends whenever a local dies but almost every church in the area does not offer a bereavement education, a death awareness, or death education program…

no handoutsWhat’s even worse is that the organizers (for the record the RCS Community Library hosts the program but does not organize it) invited local churches and pastors to announce the program and to post the attractive flyers to inform their congregations of the availability of the thanatology program, yet, according to the spokesperson for Thanatology Café, not a single one responded and there is no evidence that anyone from any of the local RCS churches bothered to attend the inaugural event. That does seem a bit strange to us and we’d like to hear from members of the congregations of local churches whether they even heard about the program from their so-called pastors. We find that strange because local churches have their hands out for stipends whenever a local dies but almost every church in the area does not offer a bereavement education, a death awareness, or death education program. We would think they’d jump at the opportunity to learn more about the program from the get go!

Why didn’t the local death businesses — Babcock Funeral Home, A.J. Cunningham Funeral Homes, W.C. Brady’s Sons Funeral Home respond?

death-its-a-livingAnd you’d think that the local businesses that make a bundle of money from local deaths, Babcock Funeral Home and A.J. Cunningham Funeral Homes, both right down the street from the library, would seize the unique opportunity to join in the death education opportunities offered by a program like Thanatology Café but apparently Sharon Babcock and the A.J. Cunningham staff had better things to do than join in a community educational program. We’ll be keeping an eye on our local death industry, you can be assured of that. Both Babcock Funeral Home and A.J. Cunningham Funeral Homes were provided with special packets along with W.C. Brady’s Sons Funeral Home (Coxsackie) and several other regional funeral homes were provided with special packets and invitations. We have the documents and we have the questions, too, Why didn’t the local death businesses respond?

People are more aware, more interested and willing to discuss the subject, the options and the choices…death and dying, living wills, advance directives, and funeral and memorial options

We’ve done the online research and find that Death Cafes, Death Salons, discussion groups about death and dying, hospice and palliative care organizations, healthcare organizations, special interest groups dealing with infant death, suicide, traumatic death, etc. are thriving and growing because people are more aware, more interested and willing to discuss the subject, the options and the choices, and are not waiting til the last minute to learn as much as they can about death and dying, living wills, advance directives, and funeral and memorial options.

Are they scared that Thanatolgy Café might rock their comfy little boats…get people to ask the important questions?

Can our churches, first responders, funeral homes be so petty as to get involved in small-minded turf wars at your expense?

Petty, stupid turf wars?

Petty, stupid turf wars?

So we’re getting interested now, too, but especially why local churches, who are constantly preaching about death and whatnot, and local first responders and rescue squads, who frequently have to deal with death, and in particular, why the three main death businesses, Babcock Funeral Home, A.J. Cunningham Funeral Homes, and W.C. Brady’s Sons Funeral Home are so silent when an important program comes to the area. Are they scared that Thanatolgy Café might rock their comfy little boats, stir up some good and reliable information in the community, get people to ask the important questions? Maybe. We have learned that the Thanatology Café program will be providing a lot of information on pre-arrangements, available options and choices, how to go about creating your living will or Advance directive, funeral and memorial choices and recommendations, and much, much more. Stuff you need to know no matter what your age and information you’re not likely to get anywhere else.

we know where your head isDon’t you think you’d be getting a better deal from church, rescue squad, senior center and funeral home if they were better informed about death, dying, surviving, and the choices and options you should have? Can our churches and so-called pastors, our community funded first responders, local funeral homes, who cash in on the community’s ignorance and lack of information, be so petty as to get involved in small-minded turf wars at your expense? Looks like it. But keeping their heads tucked up a dark, wet spot won’t do them any good. Let’s hear from them. Let’s hear from our readers.

Town of Coeymans and Town of New Baltimore

Town of Coeymans and
Town of New Baltimore

Town of Coeymans

No, we haven’t gone AWOL on our watch. We’re working on a story about how the Phil Crandall/Youmans/Dolan mob are screwing town of Coeymans taxpayers. Didn’t we hear Phil Crandall say something about cutting the costs of local government, blah, blah, blah?

Well, apparently disgraced former village justice Phil Crandall, Psycho-bully Youmans and Dithering-Tom Dolan don’t think that cost containment applies to their cronies they imported when they took office. We’re talking specifically about the alleged overtime Crandall’s administrative clerk Nita Chmielewski is collecting hand-over-fist. It seems that old Nita is incompetent and doesn’t know what she’s doing — as if she ever did; nothing seems to change in the in-crowd in Coeymans — and she’s collecting a bundle for her incompetence and ignorance. Wonder if Mr Crandall, Mr Youmans or Mr Dolan can explain why their cronies get the overtime, while the Coeymans Police Department is consistently saving on costs, economizing, and coming in under budget under the professional supervision of a competent chief?

A contributor has demanded the production of certain documents that will prove the corruption in Coeymans town hall and the hypocrisy of Mr Crandall and his cronies

Stay tuned for the fireworks!

Town of New Baltimore

There’s word out that something’s cooking in New Baltimore about the New Baltimore Supervisor of Highways and the Highways Department and indifference, negligence and dereliction of duty and responsibility.

Thanks to the double-dealing of the Greene County Independence Party Committee chairman George Ackerman and co-chairperson, Irene Beede, and their mismanagement of a very worthy candidate, Mr Alan vanWormer in the elections last November, Denis Jordan was re-elected by a single — Yes! 1 vote! — and despite the known corruption, crookedness, incompetence and ignorance that is the hallmark of his department, he didn’t go to jail but kept his office. But that’s New Baltimore and screwy-Louie politics run by incompetent political committees.

Do you actually think YOU elect these bozos?

We have information that a pretty big law suit is in the brewing that will be brought against the town of New Baltimore, the New Baltimore Highway Department and Denis Jordan for incompetence, negligence, and indifference by dereliction of duty and violation of applicable state laws. Seems Jordan’s friends get all the highway department services while others get the finger, and can watch their property values collapse because of poor road and drainage maintenance.

A collaborator is getting the information together and talking to the aggrieved parties and we’ll be the first to release the information.

One crook is going to cost an entire town a bundle. Go figure!

Bye-bye Bimbo! Cathy Deluca Fails Again! No more funding for the RHFC!

Village of Ravena

Those of you who still read the Ravena News Herald will have learned that the Village of Ravena Board has not included funding for the Ravena Health and Fitness Center for the 2015-16 budget year. We’d like to congratulate the Village of Ravena Board for that decision but we’d rather ask Why did it take them so long? The scandalous conspiracy hatched by village board member Nancy Warner and now three-time-fitness-failure Cathy Deluca should have been defunded as soon as the Misuraca administration moved in. Why wasn’t it? Months ago Misuraca admitted that the makeshift fitness center was hemorrhaging taxpayer dollars to the tune of more than $6,000 a month! Why the delay? The board could have resolved to close it almost immediately!

bye cathy d

For nearly two years now we’ve been demanding that the money-pit Ravena Health and Fitness Center be closed. We’ve published our reasons for that demand, including the fact that it was an insider job from the start, the fact that the decisions were made behind closed doors without public input, the fact that $40,000 of taxpayer money was paid to a “friend of village hall” for used fitness junk. Worse still, the scandalous and fraudulent paperwork that went in to get Cathy Deluca her non-competitive civil service title as fitness center manager led to the resignation of the then director of Albany County Civil Service, but it didn’t stop Cathy Deluca from faking her way into pocketing more than $30,000 a year plus full benefits for the past two years.

So now what? Well, we’d like to see Cathy Deluca and Nancy Warner prosecuted for the huge fraud they perpetrated on the taxpayers in the village of Ravena. We’d like to see the culprits pay back every cent they practically stole from village of Ravena residents.

But now that we’re at least $240, 000 in the hole thanks to Nancy Warner and Cathy Deluca, what’s the village gonna do with the equipment Warner and Deluca purchased from Bob Fisk? Certainly won’t bring $40,000 or even half that amount in a garage sale. Maybe Cathy Deluca will put in a bid for her next health and fitness center she’ll run into the ground. That’ll be the fourth one. Before she ran the Ravena Health and Fitness Center into oblivion at taxpayer expense, she had managed two previous ones into failure. But she was the pick to manage the Ravena Health and Fitness Center! How in hell did that happen? Ask Nancy Warner.

So now what’s Cathy Deluca, 3x-failure going to do. Let’s hope that Mr Misuraca and his village board don’t make the mistake of giving her a job with the village or something as stupid as that.

In our last article we discussed among other things, fire hydrants in Ravena-Coeymans, and Mr Henry Traver. You need to read that article.

But you’ll have to show that the double and triple dipping has stopped, Misuraca.

We are informed, however, that the Village of Ravena provisional budget, while eliminating funding for the Ravena Health and Fitness Center, apparently gives Mr Traver a pay raise from his current $52,000+ salary to what appears to be $63,000+!!! Is that how Mr Misuraca intends to streamline his village spending? No, dear readers, that’s how he’s steamrolling Ravena taxpayers with a Halfway House bar-room smoke and mirrors act!  If that’s true, we really need to get on Misuraca’s back and start beating up the Ravena Village Board to justify such an outrageous increase for such a dolt.

Henry Traver's 2010 Mugshot After his arrest by Coeymans Police for allegedly torching his house.

Henry Traver’s 2010 Mugshot
After his arrest by Coeymans Police for allegedly torching his own house.
Misuraca’s board is now upping this dunce’s salary in the 2015-16 Ravena budget from $52,000 to $63,000 plus benes! WTF?!?!?!

Finally, we had to chuckle when we read that one of Misurac’s plans was to ‘consolidate some services within and across departments.’ We hate to burst Mayor Mouse’s bubble or steal his thunder but that’s what the corrupt Ravena administrations of the past had been doing all along. Everybody worked everywhere and got paid by everybody. No big news in Ravena! But you’ll have to show that the double and triple dipping has stopped, Misuraca, and you’ll have to hold your employees’ feet to the fire to explain why some of them, while employed by the village of Ravena, hold several other jobs, as well (right Sandy Debacco?). Can you explain that rationale, Mr Mayor?

What good are “flat rates” when you have no way of knowing what you’re paying for????

We didn’t chuckle when we read about Misuraca’s attempt to “keep water and sewer rates flat” so that “residents should not expect a rate increase under the current proposal.” That’s nice, Mr Mayor but we do want to ask that when you keep the rates “flat”, in your terms, when will the Village of Ravena be able to start billing equitably and fairly, when will the Village of Ravena have uniform and transparent billing policies, procedures, and documentation for water and sewerage. “Flat rates” sounds real pretty but what good are “flat rates” when residents still have no way of knowing what they’re paying for???? Kinda stupid, if you ask us! So, Mr Mayor and Ravena village boardmembers, perhaps you should start looking at how you’ve been billing and perhaps you should stop bullshitting Ravena residents and provide clear, transparent documentation on what they’re being billed for. Think were kidding? This is no joke, Misuraca, and we’ll be publishing some documents soon to show just how idiotic and unlawful village of Ravena billing practices are and have been for decades. Get real, Misuraca, and get to work, real work!

Town of Coeymans

For years now, we’ve been demanding that the Town of Coeymans eliminate the Coeymans Police Department. Why? Because it was a nest of perverts, corrupt dirty so-called law enforcement officers, and had the reputation for fairness and community spirit that made Attila the Hun look like a pussy cat. Totally corrupt, totally bully, totally bad! But then Gerald “Dirty-Hands Jerry” Deluca jumped ship as did his darling Gregory “Dumplin'” Darlington and their very own blond bimbo, Danielle “Humpy” Crosier and a couple of others either were terminated or chose to resign. All of a sudden citizen complaints stopped. We didn’t hear much more about police bullying, retaliation, intimidation, harassment.

Let’s support Chief McKenna and let’s hope that he and his staff can become more visible now that temperatures rather than tempers are getting warmer.

Then the town board appointed Peter J. McKenna to be interim police chief. Things really started to look rosy. They have a decent guy in the driver’s seat now who knows how to navigate the rough waters of professional law enforcement under the supervision of amateur politicians (the Coeymans town board). McKenna seems to be doing a great job. But we do feel he and his staff need to get more into the community and make themselves visible as real public servants. They need to get out there and topple the image of the Coeymans Police Department as a nest of thugs, and realize the picture of the CPD as friends of the community, as partners in improving the community’s life. Let’s support Chief McKenna and let’s hope that he and his staff can become more visible now that temperatures rather than tempers are getting warmer. Can you accept the challenge, Chief McKenna!

We’ve always advocated that the Coeymans Police Department be downsized to a contingent of liaison and education staff. As liaison, an experienced chief like McKenna could foster and promote positive collaborative relations with the Albany County Sheriff’s Department and the New York State Police; as an education force in the community, McKenna and a small handful of ethical, community-spirited law enforcement officers could do wonders in this community. We have also urged very strongly that the flotsam and jetsam in the department be terminated; this means that the unnecessary dispatchers need to be pink-slipped.

Well, after all of our ranting and writing, the town of Coeymans appears to be waking up and taking some positive action in this regard. It looks like the dispatch operations will be taken over by the Albany County Sheriff’s Department, where they should have been all along. By our reckoning that means a savings of more than $100,000 of Coeymans taxpayer dollars. Maybe now the Coeymans town board can pay Chief McKenna a decent salary.

New Baltimore

There’s a storm brewing in New Baltimore and it’s centering on none other than it’s elected town Highway Supervisor, Mr Denis Jordan. Readers will recall our recent article on Jordan’s record-keeping or lack thereof — but former town supervisor Susan O’Rorke and her board (which included the widgets Lisa “Giggles” Benway and Chris “Whacko” Norris) felt Jordan needed a laptop to do his job (porn surfing?), and the fact that few if any records are kept regarding the operations of the New Baltimore Highway Department. Jordan allegedly does a lot of favors for locals and that ensures his job. But he allegedly does it at taxpayer expense, too. That’s illegal and the allegations must be investigated. The New Baltimore town board may have been unaware of Jordan’s alleged indirect vote-buying — But how could they be? — but now we are putting the New Baltimore Town Board on public notice of the allegations circulating that Denis Jordan has misused his office and misappropriated public property. Furthermore, Denis Jordan has allegedly attempted to cover up his and his department’s involvement in an incident that has remained covered up until recently, in which a Greene County employee was injured and rendered incapable of working by the action of a Town of New Baltimore Highway Department employee who, reports say, has a reputation for careless operation of town vehicles. This accident occurred during Susan O’Rorke’s watch but she managed to conceal it from the public. Now the town of New Baltimore is having trouble finding an insurance company willing to cover the town. Thanks Ms O’Rorke! Thanks Mr Jordan!

We’ve also reported on Jordan’s questionable employee relations and how he demoted his deputy once Jordan found out he was thinking of running against Jordan. We think that elected officials who feel so secure in their jobs that they can openly retaliate against the democratic process should get the brown boot treatment; voters or a prosecutor should kick their asses right out of office.

The two democrap administrations, under Louis and O’Rorke, that preceded the present Dellisanti Republican board were absolutely corrupt and inept.

There comes a time when we have to admit he has to go!

There comes a time when we have to admit he has to go!

But when a former supervisor, the likes of David Louis, partner of the notorious New Baltimore chairman of the now scandalized democrap party, Diane Louis, has the gall to stand up in Jordan’s defense, we really want to start up-chucking. The fact is that the two democrap administrations that preceded the present Republican team were absolutely corrupt and inept. While David Louis‘ name was on the supervisor’s office door, it was obvious that Diane Louis, then David Louis’ “confidential secretary” — now wasn’t that cozy, his wife as his confidential secretary, protecting him from any possible harmful testimony —, was pulling an awful lot of strings. Back then we figured she was pushing for David to go into state level politics; making her a local democrap power dealer. Let’s hope that’s been trashed!

While we have some very serious reservations about the current New Baltimore Town Board, we think that David Lewis has no place calling the kettle black. The only worst hypocrisy would be for Susan O’Rorke to start criticizing the current board.

To be very honest, we’d encourage readers to decide for themselves what’s going on on the streets and roads of New Baltimore. From where we’re sitting it’s just pitiful. Snow removal isn’t the major criterion that we use. We’re looking at the condition of the infrastructure, the quality of the roadwork done and how long it lasts, whether the work done accomplishes the fundamental purpose for which it was done. How much waste in terms of materials and human resource hours?

You can actually watch the water running into the foundations of the properties, where it then freezes, heaves, and destroys the foundations

We’ve already published numerous calls for action citing the waste that we’ve observed just in terms of filling potholes improperly. Tens of thousands of New Baltimore tax dollars have been misspent on storm drains that simply don’t work. On several Hamlet streets there are no storm drains and at least two properties in the National Historic District have been rendered unusable because of the lack of drains or even culverts; during a rain, storm or during a thaw you can actually watch the water running into the foundations of the properties, where it then freezes, heaves, and destroys the foundations. That’s what we look at, Mr Dellisanti, and that’s where Mr Jordan has failed us.  But you offer peanuts you get monkeys. And if those monkeys make too many friends with their antics, you get Denis Jordans re-elected and we’re stuck literally in the mud.

shut-up-fool

Mr David Louis, you had your chance to make a positive mark on this community and, well, you failed. Your successor was no better and if it could be worse, it was under Susan O’Rorke. Dellisanti and Ruso are no prizes but they don’t need your backstabbing but could use some collaboration from past elected officials. As for your relationship with Denis Jordan, Mr Louis, perhaps if you had some vision and some balls when you were supervisor, we wouldn’t be facing these problems now.

We mentioned the concealment of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in 2013 during Susan O’Rorke’s administration, and involving an employee of the New Baltimore Highway Department. The report is that an employee of the New Baltimore Highway Department, who allegedly has a reputation for careless operation of town vehicles, was involved in an accident in which a Greene County employee was injured so severely that he still has not been able to return to work. That GC employee is now suing the town of New Baltimore. It further appears that O’Rorke and Denis Jordan were somewhat successful at covering up the seriousness of this situation until recently. At a recent public meeting of the Town of New Baltimore town board, S. vanEtten was reporting on the problems in getting insurance coverage for the town of New Baltimore, and she mentioned the accident. Of course, Lisa Benway and Chris Norris were boardmembers at the time and were/are privy to the facts but didn’t see fit to do their duty and keep the present board informed; Benway and Norris preferred to be speed bumps. While vanEtten was reporting, Lisa Benway sat there giggling like a retard, as if she knew something but wasn’t saying. When Dellisanti/vanEtten asked her about it, Benway refused to share anything. Norris sat there grinning like a moron. When supervisor Dellisanti asked Benway about the facts, Benway stated that she is in the business and cannot disclose confidential information.

What Ms “Giggles” Benway and “Grimace” Norris seem to have forgotten is that they are elected boardmembers sworn to serve this community; they don’t have the option of telling or not telling when this community is at risk. We have a beef with supervisor Dellisanti, too. What he should have done at that meeting was adjourn the public session, retire to a back office for an “executive session,” ask Benway, Norris and Jordan about the situation, and if Benway, Norris and/or Jordan insisted on confidentiality, fine, it doesn’t go public at this time, but they have to share their information. But if Benway or Norris or Jordan refused to share that information with supervisor Dellisanti, then Dellisanti upon resuming the public session, should have announced publicly either that Benway and/or Norris and/or Jordan shared the facts but because of the litigation the facts must remain confidential OR announced publicly that Benway and/or Norris and/or Jordan refused to share the facts with the chief executive of the town of New Baltimore, and that they chose to deprive the town board of the necessary opportunity to be as informed as possible of an imminent and serious threat to the town of New Baltimore and its residents. Lisa “Giggles” Benway, Christopher “Grimace” Norris, and Denis Jordan have a duty and an obligation to safeguard the interests of this community, placing any other interests on a lower shelf, including whatever business they’re in. Mr Dellisanti, Ms vanEtten: You’ve been had. Benway and Norris embarrassed you in public session. You had the chance, Mr Dellisanti, to show leadership and take control, even to embarrass Benway, Norris, and Jordan, showing the public what dildos they really are — but you fell short and missed a gem of an opportunity. While it seems Benway, Norris and Jordan have their priorities terribly confused, Dellisanti has to learn how to use his authority and his majority (before it’s too late).

In the meantime, while we’re pumping the water that flows past the storm drains out of our basements or watching our buildings collapse, and while we’re watching the streets crumble and the stone get washed into our garages, we need to start looking at efficiency, competency, and professionalism in our town departments. Cuts can be made, waste must be cut, but we also need staff who know how to do the work or its all lost.

Now that New Baltimore town boardmember and sidekick to supervisor Dellisanti, Jeff Ruso, has visited this blog several times to read what we have to say, we’d like to know what Ruso or Dellisanti or the board has to say for themselves. How about it, Jeff? Or do you prefer lurking to responding?

It only gets worse: 2015 will be more expensive, more dangerous, and more frustrating in Coeymans and New Baltimore.

Unidentifiable Killer Trucks on Rt 144 and 9W. Why aren’t the traffic laws being enforced? Why are we put in harm’s way by our elected officials?

killer truck 1

Killer Trucks On the Loose!!!!
Test: Can you find, read the license plate to save your life?

School buses stopping at ever damned driveway during rush hour traffic!

Utility trucks stopped on the shoulder with no flagmen!

Dump trucks and heavy trucks, oversized loads going at a snail’s pace!

Illegible licence plates and no lights!

Now it seems the drivers of the nuisance heavy trucks are playing life and death games with other road users!

We’ve been hearing the usual mantra of “We need this business because it will create jobs!” And we’ve also witnessed the stupidity and lack of common sense, the lack of vision that is behind these idiotic mantras. Big business will feed any small town idiot official any bullshit it likes to get its way and we’ve seen that with the town of Coeymans and its kissing Carver Laraway’s and TCI‘s butts nontop. Everything from caving to the lies of new jobs and benefits to the community to enacting illegal zoning and local laws. We have it all.

And speaking of jobs, Ravena and Coeymans: Word on the street is that Aaron Flach is planning to close the front office/dry cleaning part of the local laundromat. Seems an employee has complained that it’s too cold and Flach can’t actually fire the employee for claiming that working conditions in Flach’s salt mines is substandard so Flach, instead of investing in heat, decides to close that part of the business. This poses a number of problems: (1) if Flach closes the front office, no one will be there to take care of problems and problems there are in the laundromat when they occur, (2) if Flach closes the front office/dry cleaning area where do residents bring their dry cleaning? Answer: Elsewhere, out of Ravena; after all, Ravena is no place for a business, is it?. And most importantly, (3) Jobs. How many people will be put out of a job in Ravena when Flach makes the move to save money rather than be a decent employer? Yes! There you have the Ravena “have’s”, the in-crowd mentality versus the rest of us. What? You want heat? Flach would rather close the business than spend the money on heat!

And where ya gonna go when you have a problem with Flach’s carwash — which happens more often than not — when there’s no one in the dry cleaning/laundromat office? Ravena-style customer service — a very pleasant “Screw you!”

Carver Companies and the others like it in Coeymans are playing this community for the fools we are if you look at our local elected officials. We’re getting empty promises, environmental pollution never seen before in this area, we’re hemorrhaging tax base and residents, but we’re giving our land, our homes, our heritage away like a bunch of retarded prostitutes. Why? Ask yourselves why? Ask Mr Flach and his Coeymans town board, Why? Ask Mr Misuraca and his village council, Why?

It seems everyone in town and village hall are out to stack the deck in their favor. Take Ravena. A new mayor, Bill Misuraca, moves into the Ravena mayor’s office and does nothing. His highway department (the Ravena Public Works Department) spreads tens of thousands of dollars in loose stone on several major streets only to have it pushed aside by traffic, washed away by rain, and now plowed up by the snow plows. Misuraca’s wisdom: Why put something permanent down if we’re only going to dig it up again when we repair the infrastructure. Meanwhile, Ravena is hemorraging to the tune of $6,000 a month with the Cathy Deluca fitness center, and it’s losing tax base faster than we can write about it. Record numbers of homes for sale in Ravena and Main Street is still the capital of distressed and empty property. A quarter century of financial incompetence and finally, after screwing the bottoms off of most property owners in Ravena, Ravena is forced to keep separate accounts for sewer and water! DUHHHHH!

The situation in the town of New Baltimore isn’t much different. A bunch of dildos in the highway department have no clue how to keep records or how to repair roads or drive snow plows. For example, in the summer they “patch” the potholes so loosely that after 3 or 5 cars and the hole’s back. The surfacing that does survive is torn up by the plows in winter, and then replaced in the summer. That’s called job security, we guess. Earlier this month (December 2014) after the 4 or so inches of snow fell, the New Baltimore Highway Department plows moved through the Hamlet and the National Historic District and tore up big slabs of road surface — Were the plow blades too low or was the surface that shoddy? — We believe both were true. Or they tear up the shoulder so it has to be replaced in Spring or Summer. Job security. But can they install storm drains or gutters properly to avoid damage to private property? Hell NO! Or can they keep records of where the trucks and crews are at any given time? Or what work was done when? Or the cost of a particular job? Hell NO! Yet New Baltimore residents sit on their hands and play nice-nice. Wake the hell up!

Coeymans is no better. Budget shortfalls while everyone like Dirty-hands Jerry” Deluca and his partner Gregory Darlington cash in their severance pays and desert (rumor is they had a choice, leave or get prosecuted). But they leave, the Coeymans board, hypcrites that they are, praise them for their fine service (to themselves), hand them retirement badges and hefty cash-out checks, and we’re stuck with the ghosttown! Nice going, Flach and company. Nice to know you’re on our side!

Same for New Baltimore. Amid promises of reform and renewal, a return to good government, New Baltimore has fallen flat on its face and the newly elected mob’s egos have taken over. The Ravena News Herald reports that one of their biggest accomplishments is an employee handbook that took the 8 months to create — 8 months on taxpayer dollars and time when they could have obtained the same result by simply calling another municipality, getting permission to use theirs, while making a couple of changes here and there. 8 days versus 8 months. Makes sense to us but not to the New Baltimore town board.

The town of New Baltimore can spend 8 months “creating” an employee handbook but can’t provide any records for road maintenance over the past  5-10 years. They have an employee handbook but that’s about the extent of the recordkeeping. Go ahead ask them for something. It’s as bad as Ravena: either they use some stupid excuse why they can’t give it to you or they tell you no records exist, that they’ve been shredded. We think their brains have been shredded.

There’s nothing in New Baltimore so New Baltimore doesn’t have to worry about stuff like Ravena and Coeymans. There are no more kids in New Baltimore. There are no more businesses in New Baltimore. The original families are either moving or dying out. The number of empty properties is unusually high, in fact on New Street more than half the homes are empty, either vacant or up for sale. The indifference of the town of New Baltimore to improvements in the infrastructure is appalling. Local lunatics like Joan Ross (the Cut-and-Paste Queen)  and Bob Ross (the Cryptkeeper a.k.a. Bitter Bob) spread hate and venom wherever they leave their slime tracks, and stand poised to activate what they lovingly call their “Newbaltimorons” should anyone propose community improvements like public water etc. Vicious Joan keeps herself very busy sending toxic e-mails vilifying her neighbors or engaging in misdemeanor harassment (at a deposition Joan Ross had to take the 5th on her attorney’s advice to avoid a possible misdemeanor harassment prosecution when she was confronted with a tape recording of a threatening and obscene voicemail she left on a neighbor’s machine), while old Bitter Bob courts a jail sentence or at least a misdemeanor aggravated harassment charge — as has happened in the past, he was in Catskill court on a charge of aggravated harassment — by using his motor vehicle to harass pedestrians. But that’s what New Baltimore has become, a haven for dried up harridans and crypt-keepers. Incompetence in town departments and mega-egos in town hall. A far cry from the booming progress being made just a couple of miles down the road in Coxsackie.

killer_trucksBut back to our topic on “Killer Trucks,” As many of our local commuters know already, you aren’t likely to be getting anywhere on time these days. And you’re not very likely to be doing your usual 50-55 miles per hour along Rt 144 or 9W either. It used to be you could finagle your schedule around the school buses that stop at every damned driveway along 144 or 9W and if you could manage to avoid those times, you’d be able to make it to where you were going. Now, forget about it! If the school buses don’t getcha, Lafarges or Carver Company’s trucks will.  You just won’t win, people!

Then you have the cable and utility trucks and crews that park in the traffic lane and put up traffic cones but don’t bother with any flagmen. There’s something to the expression, “line of sight” we see in straight lines, not around corners or over crests. But that doesn’t matter. You’re responsible, remember that. So you cross the double line to get around the cones and the trucks while the cable or utility employees are huddled together in bullshit session and you meet head on with one of Lafarge’s or Carver’s trucks. No problem, your accident gets a spot in the Ravena News Herald and in the Times Union obituaries and Babcock  Funeral Home, one of the only businesses left in Ravena only because those who can’t afford to move out stay and die, gets some business. Besides, hiring flagmen creates jobs and jobs cost companies money; bad idea.

We recently received a letter from a local resident who makes our point for us. We initially weren’t going to publish it because it seemed someone was just bitching but then IT HAPPENED TO US! That made all the difference in the world so here’s the letter [in part redacted to make it at least PG material]:

I’ve been reading your blog and thought you might be interested in this.
I was driving on 144 out of Albany to Ravena and by the old Elks lodge ended up behind a large truck, like a tractor trailer but open like a dump truck. The speed limit in the area is 55 mph but the truck was doing like 35-40 — like 35 then 40 then 45 then back to 30 — I usually do about 50 on that stretch and because it was kinda wintery and overcast I was doing about 50 before catching up with the truck. I couldn’t pass right away because it was in a double line strech but at about Mocker Bros. farm I decided to pass. I had my lights on and signaled to pass got about halfway past the truck and he speeds up! So I try to pass him and he’s going even faster. Then I notice another large truck coming (but no headlights on) towards me and I just have enough time to flash my lights and pull over to the left shoulder. The oncoming truck didn’t have any running lights or headlights on and if the cab wasn’t white, I may not have seen it until it was too late. If I did not do that I would not have been able to drop back and avoid a head-on with the other truck. I was fit to be tied; I wanted blood…not mine. So I  was again behind this a…. m— f— [redacted] and was thinking I needed to follow him until he stopped. But then I thought about it and we were already in Coeymans and if I f—ed him up I’d probably be the one arrested and in jail for kicking the s— [redacted] out of the a— [redacted] who thought it was funny trying to get me to be one of your statistics. You would have loved it if I was one of your first fatalities but then I’d be dead. Ha-ha!
Anyway, I thought you would like to know about this. I got a couple of pix of the truck and saw it was Troy Sand and Gravel…can you guess where it turned in Coeymans?
Thanks,
A Survivor
P.s. I couldn’t read the license plate even if I wanted to complain. Isn’t there a law that says the plate has to be readable. These trucks are so dirty you can never read the plates. Well, if I have a dirty plate or a light out the cops would have me in a minute. Must be something going on that these guys don’t get stopped and ticketed like we do.
This all happened on Friday [Editor’s note: That would be December 5, 2014] between 2:45 and 3:15. Maybe that will help.

The writer of the above letter provided the picture of the truck that appears in the title. It’s much bigger than a common dump truck, and you can’t make out the license plate number at all. It’s too filthy. Here’s another picture of the same truck from a different angle, taken by “Survivor”.

cropped truckYup! Not a week after receiving that e-letter we had a similar experience. Not quite as hair-raising as “Survivor’s” but close enough. We’ve come to the conclusion that these Lafarge and Carver truck drivers are recruited from the local looney bin or drunk tank. Wouldn’t you think that “professional” trained truck drivers would have more sense? That they would be trained in road safety and road etiquette? They apparently have the brains of an RCS school bus driver, that is, about the same IQ as a chicken!

With everything else going to hell in a hand basket in Ravena, Coeymans, New Baltimore, and in the bigger picture, do we have to expect that in these communities, thanks to the town of Coeymans board, the village council of Ravena, and the New Baltimore town board sellouts to the Lafarges and Carver Laraways of the world that we in these communities are about to become irrelevant, even extinct? Our town and village officials sell us out at Walmart sale prices, carpetbagger businesses like TCI and Carver Companies come in and take over the town and region, our elected officials have the brains of a decapitated turkey when it comes to managing our affairs, and even parents have betrayed their own children by handing them over to surrogates like the RCS schools and bus drivers, and what do they get delivered to their driveways? Kids that have less character than frozen vegetable medley — quick, easy, tasteless.

dawn-of-the-braindeadAnd so, for example, we find the teenage girl working as a cashier in the Ravena Shop’n Save who had to ask What’s this? when presented with a bunch of beets. She actually didn’t know what beets looked like and had to ask. Here we had a 16 or 17 year old girl, almost an adult, presumably in the middle of high-school and almost out in the real world, who is working in a supermarket but doesn’t know what a bunch of beets is! The product of great parenting, superior schooling, unparalleled experience (just being sarcastic because none of that is even remotely true). But you can bet your life she knows how to get lost in her smartphone on Facebook or some other asocial media! That’s what we have to deal with people! Are you proud of that?

Why is it that Ravena, Coeymans and New Baltimore have the amazing capacity to get saddled with elected officials, whose only talent seems to be their insane egos, their amazing capacity to outdo the incompetence, the ignorance, the stupidity and hypocrisy of their predecessors (for example, in Ravena, Misuraca‘s moving in with the Bruno mob, the sewer and water comedy act, the wholesale migration out of the village, the record number of empty and distressed properties, etc.; in Coeymans the incompetence in managing finances, the Coeymans board’s idolatry and cowing to the false prophets of business and jobs, the creation of environmental hazards and pollution, illegal local legislation, general corruption; New Baltimore with it’s psycho egos, its backward vision, its misplaced priorities, its abysmal record-keeping and cronyism, plus many of the problems of Ravena and Coeymans!)

braindeadThe Christmas season used to be a time of joyful expectation and the hope of a New Year with promise of bounty and plenty. That’s all a thing of the past and we’re all largely to blame. So, during this holiday season, rather than be Pollyanna about the reality that we have to live with each and every day of our lives, we’d rather be prophetic about this whole situation and say that we need to pull our heads out of the sand or out of any other dark holes in which we may have stuck them and realize that…

ASS-PAIN

… we have to look forward to a slower, more expensive, and more dangerous, higher-anxiety 2015 than we could have ever imagined a year ago. Why? Because we have allowed it to happen. We have not held our elected officials accountable and we have allowed them to have their way with us. If your butts hurt really bad, just read the past issues of this blog and then ask yourself why you never woke up and never took control.

All having been said,

Sean Eldridge: Does he even know how to represent the 99%?

Is This the Altrnative?
Lord Help Us!

The ‘Pink Obama” Sean Eldridge with his hubby Chris Hughes and New York state Senator Cecilia Tkaczyk

Question is really, can Sean Eldridge even acknowledge we’re here, let alone understand our needs. Are his ears attuned to voices so different from ours that he is deaf to the 99%? In fact, isn’t Sean Eldridge a bit overly arrogant to think that with his disconnection from the rest of us not only in job experience, in life experience, in moral values that he can possibly represent but a small part of this constituency? Do we need another arrogant deaf politician in Washington? Our answer is NO! Sean Eldridge is so vastly different from us that he cannot possible appreciate who we are and what we need.

First of all, he and his “hubby“, Chris Hughes (of FaceBook bucks), are multimillionaires, members of the exclusive 1% club. They live in different worlds than we do. They inhabit planets that revolve around different suns, different centers, than ours does.

In fact, both Eldridge and Hughes should be tarred and feathered and run out of town on a rail for having co-created that monster addiction, FaceBook, that has our dimwit young people and many half-witted adults glued to their electronic devices, oblivious to the world around them, while they squander their lives on ASOCIAL media, pouring out their impoverished emotions and souls into empty cyberspace. You’ll have to agree that Facebook is the farthest thing from “social media” and has created a culture of illiterate zombies. No thanks! Mr Eldridge and Mr Hughes! If that’s your idea of serving America, you might just as well put on an ISIS uniform and just decapitate America!

Secondly, Sean Eldridge and his kind they talk to different people, their own kind, who, like Eldridge and “hubby” Hughes, are members of the same country club, the 1% club, and have different priorities, values, ethics, morals, and very few needs and many greeds.

Is Cecilia Tkaczyk Eldridge's Fag Hag?

Is Cecilia Tkaczyk Eldridge’s
“Fag Hag”*?

* What in hell is a “fag hag“? Read about it here: Fag Hag.

And speaking of “their own kind” Cecilia Tkaczyk is one of Eldridge’s clubmembers. In the picture we selected above, most of Eldridge and Hughes gender-orientation community would call her a “fag hag” in that picture (she’s posing with Eldridge and “hubbyHughes at the Hudson Valley Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender 2014 Gala where Eldridge spoke) ; that is, a woman who hangs out with gay men. She’s OK with that and—believe it or not—, so are we. Here’s why: she saves us the trouble of wasting any more words on her. One picture is worth a thousand words. She’s telling us in unmistakeable terms who she is, what she is, what she supports, and that she doesn’t deserve to be re-elected. Actually, she allegedly wasn’t elected in the first place but we won’t comment further on that scandalous misuse of the democratic process that put her in single-term office.

For an entertaining discussion of fag hags etc. (Warning: this article can get a bit steamy 😉 ), visit Why Do Gay Men Need Fag Hags?

Thirdly, Sean Eldridge’s values, morals and ethics—more accurately we should say his lack of values, morals and ethics—are far different from ours. First of all, how many of this constituency think same-sex marriage is acceptable, even necessary? Isn’t marriage by its very definition a union between a man and a woman, for the purpose of procreation, and then protecting those children and educating them to be good members of the community? But Sean Eldridge believes that marriage as an institution needs to be redefined to fit his chosen lifestyle. How many of us agree with that self-centered point of view? But then, when it’s convenient for him, he uses a loophole in the Defense of Marriage Act, federal legislation he opposes, to avoid full disclosure of his and his “hubby’s” actual financial status, how much they really have! You see, millionaire Eldridge wants to flash that he’s “married” to millionaire Chris Hughes but argues that the Defense of Marriage Act does not recognize same-sex marriages, so in the “eyes” of DOMA, Eldrige and Hughes are not married, not spouses. So Eldridge reasons that he doesn’t have to disclose his and Hughes’ combined income. Sean Eldridge wants his cake and he wants to eat it too. But we’re not invited to the party.

Eldridge and Hughes didn’t get their millions by not supporting corporations and ensuring that their investments pay off. But when corporations “pay off” and their investors become millionaires, somebody else is paying. Guess who that is? Do you think that he’s going to refuse the dividends on his investments because the corporations are screwing the little guy? Do you really believe Eldridge when he says he never took a dime from a corporation? Then where did he and “hubby” Chris Hughes get their millions? From the Easter bunny?

easter bunny money

Sean Eldridge, in his pretty-boy poses with his “hubbyChris Hughes, just oozes phoney! His sugary and equally phoney campaign ads are just as flaky as he is. We don’t need another snowflake in Washington claiming to represent us. We have an Oreo snowflake in the White House now who got there riding the race card and has all but destroyed this country with his lack of experience and total lack of leadership. We don’t need the “Pink Obama“, Sean Eldridge, moving his shaved butt to Washington only to promote his club’s agendas, and making his offensive contribution to plunging this country into deeper distress, anxiety, and moral decline.

Moving-animated-picture-bunny-hopping-easter-eggs-basket

Sean Eldridge is not the Easter Bunny!
Sean Eldridge is a much bigger fake!

Sean Eldridge’s hypocrisy shows through his facials and manicures. He’s as phoney as his cosmetic smile. Voters need to get the failure Barack Hussein “Oreo” Obama out of Washington, and keep the “Pink Obama” from setting up shop in Washington.

The “Pink Obama”, Sean Eldridge, wants us to give his ego a free ride to Washington on our backs and at our expense.

Sean Eldridge is not the Easter Bunny! He's a much bigger fake!

Don’t become a bunch of hopping eggs in Sean Eldridge’s bunny basket!

We’re not saying that any politician is or can be perfect; most politicians are human (at least on one side of the family tree) and thus by their very nature are imperfect. The problem arises when they start to think that they are not imperfect, and forget that some are more imperfect than others. Sean Eldridge is one of those wannabe politicians who forgets his imperfection, who has lost the connection with who he really is, and by doing so is starting to believe his own lies; Sean Eldridge is more imperfect than his opponents.

Don’t Vote for Sean Eldridge or Cecilia Tkaczyk—the Antichrist Duo!

There are better alternatives.

Coeymans Town Board Meeting: Circus of Imbeciles, the Insane

Listening to the Absolute Ignorant Bull on Channel 11’s Coverage of the Coeymans Town Board Meeting would Make a Maggot want to Vomit!

Coeymans Board: We Don’t Know. We don’t have the facts.

The Coeymans Town Board Meetings are the Best Freak Show in Town

The Coeymans Town Board Meetings are the Best Freak Show in Town

First of all, the fact that the Coeymans town board admits that it doesn’t have the facts and figures it needs to intelligently discuss the proposal of eliminating the pool of so-called dispatchers–actually a group of family members of the Coeymans police department; just check out the names and the relationships–is the usual embarassment.

Supervisor Steven Flach has fallen on his face innumberable times these past months starting with the zoning debacle, to the Carver Laraway sell out, the fairytale of job creation, the continuing untold story of adverse environmental impact of the businesses to which the Judas administration has sold out, law suits (these are nothing new, we’ve collected documentation of literally dozens of Notices of Claims, mostly against the Coeymanazi police department) and the list goes on and on. The problem is that voters don’t have the chance to elect people who know what they’re doing, they elect a bunch of amateurs with little or no government savvy and now they have to live with it.

Then we have the Gestapo Coeymans police chief, Gregory Darlington, smoozing the ditzy demented old women who get up and make absolute fools of themselves but are pandering to Darlington who is eating it all up like the glutton he is. Darlington’s a cheap act but like most low-life, he’ll do anything to survive.

What came out in tonight’s Coeymans town board meeting (September 22, 2014) was what we have been observing over and over again in the past: No one seems to know what they’re talking about and no one has any facts. What’s worse still is that what we’ve been saying for months now about the Coeymans town board–even after Flach got the majority and dumped Tom Boehm and Dawn Rogers, two shameful supporters of Darlington and his money pit police department, is this: Flach and the board simply don’t do their homework and have the despicable habit of acting on ignorance or halfbaked notions. In fact, most of the board, including Supervisor Steven Flach actually said they “don’t know”. How in hell can they appear for a meeting and not have their ducks in a row. But it happens again and again. No wonder residents are furious and frustrated.

you dont know

And enough already. We thought we heard the end of Tom Boehm’s smoozing of his harlot Coeymans police department and its main pimp, Gregory Darlington. Boehm to his discredit has a bad memory and doesn’t have the sense to keep his mouth shut–especially when Tom Dolan throws his own words in his face! But we’ve said that so often before about Boehm. But then, Coeymans weasel Tom Dolan is a perverse opportunist, as we all know when he speaks against the zoning when the zoning scandal was hatched on his watch together with Flach, Boehm and Rogers. It’s only now that the stuff is hitting the fan. But still, Flach sets himself up on the defensive only have to defend more and more of what he’s doing.

Mary Driscoll’s glowing but demented endorsement of Flach’s performance, of Darlington’s department, of small and large government, centralized schools, and worse still, her support and total ignorance of how the 911 dispatch system works only confirms our assessment many times published on this blog: Some of the local residents who are most vociferous and outspoken should really be on drugs, sedatives actually. We have some advice for Mary Driscoll: Listen, dear, it’s not emotion, it’s dementia.

It's Happening Before Your Eyes

It’s Happening Before Your Eyes

What we heard at the Coeymans town board meeting was total misinformation and uninformed blather. Someone, perhaps even someone on the Coeymans town board, should actually learn how 911 works in terms of dispatching emergency services. Maybe then Mr DoDo Darlington won’t be so smug or so brave when his lies and the misinformation is replaced by hard facts and a rational report. $300,000 is a good chunk of money that’s being paid from taxpayer dollars to fund a small bunch of insiders who are duplicating a service already being provided very professionally.

Why was Coeymans police chief so amused by all of this?  We’ve already made the point that when all of this is going on the Coeymans police are pretty scarce.

Driscoll: I get so emotional!

Driscoll: I get so emotional!

One speaker, again speaking from a very self-centered and extraordinary point of view, did make some good points while exhibiting her infant (Was that a prop intended to make a point we wonder?). While her sole justification for wasting taxpayer dollars was her own pregnancy, she did rub Darlington’s nose in some nasty stuff but he didn’t seem to catch on. The woman made the point that the trucks terrorizing Coeymans and Ravena streets are a danger to life and limb; a real threat to local residents and children! Why was Darlington laughing and smiling through all of her statement? The speaker also made the point that the trucks are racing through the hamlet of Coeymans and Ravena, certainly going more than 30 miles an hour. She also made the point that they’re on phones or doing something, certainly not paying attention to their driving. Again, Why was Coeymans police chief so amused by all of this?  We’ve already made the point that when all of this is going on the Coeymans police are pretty scarce. So, Mr Darlington, wipe that smile off your stupid porcine snout and answer the question: Why is this happening and where are your Coeymanazis when all of this is going on?

We know where they are, Mr Darlington, they’re harassing the residents who are attempting to clean up that cesspool of Coeymans. Handing out parking tickets to residents unloading supplies to renovate the distressed properties. On Coeymans police chief Darlington’s orders, according to one Coeymans gestapo. Yes, there were witnesses when Darlington’s monkey made the statement. And Yes! Coeymans, you can ask yourselves, Will the retaliation and intimidation never stop?!? Our answer: Yes, as soon as you clean out the nest of vermin in the basement of Coeymans town hall!

vermin

As we watched and listened, it became apparent that Mr Darlington was manipulative as ever and that Mr Flach was as timid as ever. Even though not speaking in an official capacity, Tom Boehm was speaking as the smoke and mirrors artist, as always, pandering to his friends in the Coeymans p.d. Tom Dolan, was doing his carnival sideshow, trying to appear like he knew something and was the only one who did. All of them were in the dark of their own diseased egos.

Coeymans: You’re like alcoholics, who know the bottle is killing them but it’s all you have, so you cling to your addiction even though it’s killing you.

FEAR!

But one thing stood out clearly: At least the speakers, if not the entire group present at that meeting, seemed to think that in the perhaps hundreds of communities across New York state, most of which do not have expensive duplicated services in their budgets, that their pregnant citizens are bleeding to death on their kitchen floors or their elderly are being eaten alive in their garages by “rabid” dogs because they don’t have local dispatchers! How stupid! What we heard under all the words are the voices of a couple of frightened people who didn’t trust their elected officials. The speakers were speaking from their own traumatic or imagined encounters with their own mortality. They also represented the essence of addiction and attachment: No matter whether good or bad. You’re like alcoholics, who know the bottle is killing them but it’s all they have, so they cling to their addiction even though it’s killing them. A sick kind of greed, where you have something and you cling to it too anxious to let go of what you have, too scared to take a risk.

And we can also add for the benefit of the concerned resident with the infant: You would have gotten to St Peters just as fast if you simply called 911. And if you get rid of the duplicated services in Coeymans, that is, the dispatchers, the $300,000 saved in the budget may help to put those sidewalks and safety measures in place that you claimed were so desperately needed to keep you and your children safe. Maybe if the Coeymans town board looks at things with some foresight and vision and stops playing knee-jerk, there’d be less waste, better services, and a safer, more vibrant community. All that’s been done so far is promote deterioration and unsafe conditions, spoiling our streets, our air and our environment, endanger our children and residents, while supporting unnecessary and inefficient fixtures like the Coeymans police department and its little club of friends.

Mr Boehm and others, but especially Mr Darlington, you are transparent not because you have an ounce of integrity or honesty—it’s clear to those of us with eyes to see and ears to hear that you have neither integrity nor honesty—but because you are so see-thru, so insubstantial, so common. Voters got rid of Boehm but left Darlington. Big mistake. The Coeymans town board hasn’t got the brains or the balls to tackle this problem or any of the grotesque problems facing Coeymans. Unfortunately, most of Coeymans isn’t up to the task either.

You are being sucked dry by a small group of parasitic sponges

You’re so terrified of losing something that you lose sight of the fact that you are being sucked dry by a small group of parasitic sponges. Either they are there padding their own nests with salaries that are far beyond their abilities (Darlington and most of the Coeymans p.d., the Ravena Public Works Department); you elect amateurs who are using you all like an army of AAA batteries to run their sick egos. No wonder you’re terrified! You take an incompetent blond bimbo off of the streets and where do you put her? You put her in the high-school! Why don’t you just lace the kids’ food with Ebola? You allow your stupid RCS board of education to put Danielle Crosier in the high school as SRO and then let her instruct in road safety! Are you all nutz? She rams parked cars, rides the shoulder of the road, endangers a minor in her custody, and you put her in the high school! Darlington and his pet cockroach, Dirty-Hands Jerry Deluca used you and continue to use you to provide them with a playground and those two parasitic sponges, as stupid as they are, used and continue to use you up. Lucky for Coeymans the dorks at the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs were imbecilic enough to take Deluca off our hands. But we’re still stuck with mummy-mayor John Bruno’s senile legacy, the Ravena Health and Fitness Center, another money pit that he provided to another parasitic sponge, Cathy Deluca, and one which the present amateur, bartender-become-mayor, monkey mayor Bill “Moose” Misuraca hasn’t had the balls to eliminate. And you’re worried about getting rid of the parasite sponges in the dispatcher’s den? Imbeciles!

High-School Principal Tom DiAcetis “Intimidated” and “Offended” by National Guard T-Shirt.
A Real Educator!

After seeing the National Guard T-shirt, DiAcetis talks to his therapist.

After seeing the National Guard T-shirt, DiAcetis talks to his therapist.

And then you have cowards like the high-school principal, Tom Diacetis, who suspends a student for wearing a tee-shirt handed out by a National Guard recruiter authorized to be on school property, because the shirt “intimidated” and “offended” him. Diacetis and all the others who are intimidated by anything that represents selfless service to community and country; the same cowards who never put on a uniform but are there to educate our kids in morals and values (while they’re humping each other in the coach’s office or doing someone’s harlot). The National Guard recruiter was told to leave the school. Oh! Did we mention violation of civil rights, abuse of First Amendment protected speech, Mr DiAcetis? As principal of the RCS high school you must have heard of the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights, haven’t you?  Yeah! Harlots in the halls, cowards in the offices, bullies on the playground, and parasitic sponges in town hall. RCS education at its best and a real model system for the districts with real grad rates! And you’re crying about having to cut fat from the budget? Get a brain!

The bottom line: Ravena-Coeymans continues to be a cesspool of ignorance and corruption; Retaliation and intimidation continue as business as usual, and the same stupid sockpuppets get up and puke their pablum making the parade of clowns complete. It’s a circus of the insane.
