Similar to Ravena, New Baltimore Has a History of Election Fraud. With the Count of Absentee Ballots Coming up On Wednesday, November 13, 2013, Will the Losers at the Polls Have the Dignity to Concede? And let’s not forget the underhanded sabotage by the Ravena News Herald, the Greene County News, The Daily Mail (all owned by the Johnson News Paper Corporation and run by Hudson Catskill Newspapers) when they handed the New Baltimore democrats full-page coverage and gave NOTHING to the Republican, Conservative, Independence candidates–except BROKEN PROMISES and EXCUSES (see the October 31, 2013, issue of the Ravena News Herald, for example!) ! The candidates were not the only ones to suffer indignity; voters in New Baltimore were cheated, too! Boycott those papers, cancel your subscriptions, don’t shop with their advertisers and tell them Why?!?
The Hudson-Catskill Newspapers (Ravena News Herald, Greene County News, Daily Mail) refused to publish the personal profiles of the New Baltimore’s Republican, Conservative and Independence party-endorsed candidates. Don’t you think that might have had a very big effect on the election results in New Baltimore? Why else would two very qualified candidates, Russo and Vadney, have lost to two very unqualified insiders? Think about that. You should tell John B. Johnson, chairman, and Mark Vinciguerra, publisher, what you think of their discriminatory, unfair, unbalanced coverage of the candidates and their unfairly influencing the elections. We have a big bone to pick with the Greene County Board of Elections, too, and demand some action from the Office of the Attorney General and from the Secretary of State. We think the Republican, Conservative, and Independence party-endorsed candidates, no matter whether they were successful or not, should join together and demand an explanation Why? the Greene County Board of Elections did nothing in response to the unbalanced coverage of the candidates. You can read on the Greene County BoE website: “The right to vote in the United States is one of our most important constitutional guarantees and we make every effort to insure that the election process in Greene County is administered in a fair, efficient, and professional manner.” OK. It’s not! In fact, we feel that the residents and voters of the Town of New Baltimore, no matter what their persuasion, should demand that Greene County Election Commissioners Thomas J. Burke and Brent Bogardus both RESIGN! They’ve both proved themselves to be useless, impotent, and irrelevant! If you agree, tell them so! Here are their e-mails:

But New Baltimore Dems Didn’t Make A Peep. Why? Because it was New Baltimore Dems and their Republican-in-Name-Only Goons that Misused the Absentee Ballots!
Well fool us once, shame on YOU! It won’t happen again! Former New Baltimore town justice Joe Cosenza and the Mrs. moved out of New Baltimore but continued to attempt to vote for their cronies in the last elections using absentee ballots. They got caught and their votes were disqualified. That little criminal act was perpetrated by the same democrat who put on the black robes of justice and sat in judgment of others. Don’t we call that a hypocrite? Don’t we call that criminal? YES! But no one said anything (insider club at work).
Then there’s Christopher “Chris” Norris’ boys. Chris Norris is a sitting New Baltimore town councilperson. Chris Norris is a very good friend and supporter of New Baltimore ex-supervisor Susan O’Rorke who lost the election at the polls last week. We have a report that Norris’ two sons, both of whom reside outside of the area, have been voting in New Baltimore elections. How is it that a sitting member of the New Baltimore town council allows that to happen? We need to hear from you, Chris, with a statement or comment denying the report. Is it true of is it false? Are your two boys living out of the area but voting in local elections?

The whole absentee ballot system is flawed and prone to misuse and election fraud. Ballots can and will be challenged, dragging the whole process out and sullying the voters who voted legally and moved their butts out of the house to do their duty.
We say that the losers at the polls must CONCEDE and avoid the unnecessary process of absentee ballots and challenges. And the discovery of more democrat voter fraud!

Maybe you should have contacted the chair of the Greene County Independence Party George Acker Sr. and asked him or his admin/ sec. Irene Beede whom they endorse in New Baltimore and whom they sent to primary.. You people to know facts you should make sure you also write them. Btw they a lot you don’t know. And both parties deserve a person to write the facts. The Greene County Independence Party along with the Conservative Party not once gets any thanks for what they do in any newspaper. But nor does any paper correctly type the position the candidates are running for or under what correct party lines. You wrote an article but fill in the spaces.. there is a lot of empty spots… My grandfather told me always make sure you dot your I’s cross your T’s..

I’m not quite certain I understand what you are trying to say in the first part of your comment (the first five sentences don’t make any sense as written). If you have been following this blog you would certainly know that we were and are aware of whom the Independence Party endorsed and whom it did not. That having been said, why would you suggest we contact Mr Acker or you for that information?
The second half of your comment is a bit clearer. We agree that the democrat-controlled media in Albany and in Greene county is a corrupt and biased bunch. That’s why we started this blog. And we agree that the Republican, Conservative, and Independence parties don’t get balanced coverage at all in Albany County and Northern Greene County. The Albany Times Useless in a liberal-democrat rag and is as corrupt as the democrat machine it works so hard to protect. Southernmost Albany County and Northern Greene county don’t fare much better with the Ravena News Herald, the Greene County News, and the Daily Mail, all “owned” rags and controlled by an ignorant brat, John J. Johnson, of the Johnson Newspaper Corp., and his lackey, a former Albany Times Union employee, Mark Vinciguerra, publisher of the Hudson-Catskill Newspaper group.
The latest example of biased, unbalanced and corrupt reporting and misuse and abuse of local residents and voters was the fact that in the October 31, 2013, editions of the Ravena News Herald and Greene County News, the so-called “democrat” candidates got full coverage of their profiles, while the Republican, Conservative, Independence candidates were ignored completely by the Ravena News Herald and the Green County News. That’s a serious bit of sabotage as far as the elections in New Baltimore were concerned. For more details, read the blog.

I have to say that my wife and I have lived here for twelve years…but we haven’t really participated in important local issues. I’m trying now to correct that error in my civil responsibilties. And I am learning so many things now that my head is spinning! I really do wish to get a quick education that can bring me up to speed. In this way I hope to be helpful. Thank you for opening your mind and eyes! Yes! Please get informed not only on this blog but elsewhere. Get a well-rounded “education” and then get involved. That’s what we need in the New Baltimore/Coeymans/Coxsackie area: informed and participating residents. Residents who aren’t afraid to ask the sticky questions and won’t take the run-around.
You have the right idea, William, and we wish you all the luck in the world. It’s citizens and residents like you who make democracy work the way it was intended to work: for everyone fairly and balanced.

It should be if someone has the guts to stand up and demand an investigation. The problem is that the two Greene County commissioners of elections, Burke and Bogardus, are not the most duty-oriented nor conscientious of elections commissioners. They don’t like making waves or asking questions. That’s a very big problem, if you were to ask us. If you’re going to wear the crown you’re going to have to carry the sword.
There was a tempest in a teapot a couple of years ago when Coeymans town council member Tom Dolan, who is also director of the social services Choices in Ravena-Coeymans, was caught filling out absentee ballots for his clients. Not much was done about that and not much was reported on it. Stuff like that tends to be kept really quiet, especially if you’re an insider. Like the two Coeymans cops who were recently suspended. Anyone hear about that? We doubt it but we’re investigating and we’ll report the facts. Same thing about the romance between a Greene County Sheriff deputy and a New Baltimore town elected official; got the deputy transferred out of the NB Sheriff satellite office but did anyone hear about it? Nope! But we haven’t shelved that one, either. Once we have the true facts, we’ll report on it.
You see, from the outside a lot might seem “straighforward” but it gets pretty devious and crooked when you start looking closer.
