$46 Million Dollar School Budget Passed – One Backwoods School District

Voters a.k.a. “residents” approved a local RCS Central School District school budget of almost $46 million dollars. That’s more than the total budgets of several surrounding townships combined! Voters a.k.a. “residents” who passed the budget are largely non-property owners but the property owners foot the bill. What’s more, local government has caved to demands that local corporations get their tax breaks and reduced assessments. Again, local tax burden falls on the shoulders of local property owners. The local area is falling apart and so is the quality of education because we’re educating those who don’t have an appreciation for education and who likely don’t even use it later; they just don’t come from a background that encourages working or learning. So why do we keep spending and spending and spending? We don’t make the necessary adjustments, we just tax more and spend more. Why is that?

You’re still doing it! So we’re here to tell you how…

$45,829,423 budget for the 2017-18 school year!?! That’s more than local town budgets combined! And you wonder why your roads suck? You wonder why your drinking water is toxic and brown? You wonder why crime is rampant and the police do little or nothing to bring in the criminals? You wonder why you can’t make ends meet? But don’t you wonder why your kids act like brain dead morons? Why they can’t read? Why they can’t spell? Why they can’t hold a discussion?

Has anyone ever asked the students — the one’s with the lights on and someone home in their heads — what they think of their education, of their teachers? Times Union, News Herald, Daily News, W10, W13? Has any of the media given a thought to ask students about what they think of their education? Well, it would have to be cleverly done — and that rules out Times Union, News Herald, Johnson Newspaper Group, Daily News, W10 and W13, practically all Capital District media — and it would ideally include past graduates, who would be more likely to be truthful and say where RCS education got them. Current students would be fearful of teacher or student retaliation if they were to be interviewed and identified. That’s the way it has been and continues to be in the RCS Central School District, and is very likely the same situation throughout this third-world, backwoods hole in the earth. (Great place for woodchucks, though.)

We did an informal survey and found that several past graduates agreed that “one in fifteen teachers was any good and cared for students.” Others simply hated RCS and refused to participate even in 10 year class reunions. One RCS teacher with 23 years teaching said that he couldn’t wait to retire, “They have millions for astroturf but no money for books for my AP students! I’m history as soon as I can retire.” A history of pitiful graduation rates, low student and teacher morale, and spending seem to characterize local schools, especially spendthrift RCS.

Why don’t we ask the one’s who know?

If past history is anything to judge by, we have a pattern of fewer property owners (those who pay) and a growing number of social service recipients, senior citizens (those who can’t afford to leave), and transients (those who don’t pay), as well as a decline in taxable businesses, and an increase in pandering to local large corporations (who get “corporate welfare”) who want and get tax breaks but don’t create jobs and don’t contribute to tax revenues. So the misinformation provided by propaganda machines like the Times Union, News Herald, and other local media, flash such titles as “School budgets sail to approval”(Times Union, May 19, 2016) reporting also that “districts were mostly able to avoid huge tax hikes in their 2016-17 budgets thanks to a large increase in state aid.” Really? If that’s last year’s situation, why the increase this year?

The previous year, the Times Union article, “Voters Happy With Budgets” (May 19, 2015) reports that “Voter turnout was typically slim with many school board candidates running unopposed. Albany saw 72 percent of voters who showed up to vote offer support for the school budget. In 2015 Albany passed a $234 million budget that carried no tax increase. Schenectady passed a $177 million budget that will actually decrease the tax levy 0.21 percent. The report goes on to say that “on average, Capital Region schools are prepared to spend and tax more than other districts around the state. Spending is poised to rise 2.87 percent at schools across the region next year (compared to 2.1 percent statewide), while tax levies will increase an average of 0.95 percent (compared to 0.7 percent statewide). That was 2015.

The pattern continues in RCS. 2017-18 budget passed by voters Residents of Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk took to the polls Tuesday, May 16, approving a $45.8 million budget for the 2017-18 school year, as well as the bus purchase proposition and community library vote. Voter turnout was typically slim (less than 1000 voters, down from previous years) with school board candidates running unopposed.

The local school district got approval to purchase school buses for the year ahead and create additional teaching positions. New technology purchases, like Chromebooks and iPads, were also high on the budgets, as well as a bigger investment in professional development for teachers. More technology, less learning, more cyberkids and sheeple. What a plan for Big Brother!

Local politicians, including the RCS School Board, are like maggots eating us alive.

Corporate Welfare. Lowered assessment for Selkirk Cogen to affect RCS homeowners (May 5, 2017). The RCS Central School District website reports: “One noticeable difference for taxpayers will be increased tax rates for the 2017-18 year, due to a lowered tax assessment for local business Selkirk Cogen. The district does not control home or business assessments, however, taxes collected from those [private] assessments act as revenue for the district.” This is purest propaganda. These businesses come to this area, destroy our historically beautiful landscapes, poison our air and our water, demand tax breaks at the expense of property owners and small business, drive out local residents and businesses, shift the tax burden to local property owners. They promise prosperity and jobs, which our local hillbilly elected officials gobble up like hungry hogs, and don’t deliver. In fact, the trend is to automate operations, leaving the really dirty jobs to low-paid black-collar workers. Now that’s a real vision for the future. Our economic geniuses hard at work for the corporations, while burying us!

According to a RCS school board member : “As a district, we have no control over assessments,” school board member James Latter said. “it’s unfortunate the reduced assessment has an effect on our resident taxpayers, we are thankful for businesses like Selkirk Cogen. It’s businesses like these that often pay large sums of school taxes, taking some of the burden off our residents.” Contradiction here, Mr Latter? Read that quote again! He’s double-talking. And that’s the kind of dumbass RCS voters put on the school board!

That kind of pass-the-buck double talk is characteristic of weasel Jim Latter, who is an employee of a Saudi-owned corporation in Feura Bush, so we know where his loyalties lie. He’s not going to be honest and tell it like it is: He’s going to spend, spend, spend and then blame the tax hikes on the local town administrations! Of course he’s thankful to Cogen and to his Saudi keepers, they sign his checks.  But it’s his talking out of both sides of his mouth that irks us most. You see, they preach austerity and fiscal responsibility but they don’t practice what they preach.

We’d like to know where the money came from for the sports field refreshment stand that is not used for 6-8 months of the year? The RCS Sports Association was to have paid for it but they couldn’t raise the money. Anybody hear where the rest of the money came from? Anyone care to guess? We all know. But the question is still: If we have so many youth sports associations and groups in the area, why does the school district have to have million dollar playing fields. Is the RCS community that rich? We know it’s falling apart and dirty. We know that our elected swine are handing our community to killer trucks, heavy truck traffic, dust devils, and our roads are tuning into mini-Grand Canyons. We know our students are coming out of RCS schools stupid. We know that there’s money for jocks but no money for books and brain programs. We know the teachers are getting paid very well, get incredible benefits and get paid professional enhancements. We know that 75-80% of the budget goes to salaries and benefits. What else do you know but won’t admit?

Heres a contribution from one of our readers that should get you thinking:

I was working out at the Glenmont Planet Fitness when a group of about 4-6 boys gathered around one of the equipment. One was on the phone and talking to “his brother”. When he had finished he asked the others whether they knew anyone who would “buy” for them. As the conversation went on it became clear that they needed alcohol for a group or a party that was going to happen in connection with the prom. They brainstormed for a little and made some calls, and then, apparently the problem was solved. Someone, one of the boys brothers, would make the purchase. These guys were obviously still in school at RCS and planning a party after the senior prom. They needed booze and found it. I wanted to give them a good talking to but the way they were acting, it would only have caused a scene and embarassed me. They were too ignorant to care, and their language didn’t make me think they had any brains.

I thought about one of the blogs recent articles about the accident on 144 when Logan Penzabene was creamed and his buddy seriously injured. I remember the quotes from local law enforcement, and then there’s Cuomo’s campaign. I lthought how right you were in that article. Then I saw this one and everything got clear. It’s all smoke and mirrors around here.

Not two weeks after a fatal accident and these knuckleheads are looking for alcohol. What? Isn’t the prom enough? I guess they’re so insecure they have to drink. So where are the parents? Do these kids still have parents? Do they know it? What’s up with all this law enforcement effort to curb these teen morons and their childish behavior? Where’s the school district and the teachers on this one? Where’s Cuomo’s campaign. They’re at Planet Fitness arranging for a booze delivery! I couldn’t believe my ears!

Well, there you have it, “Not two weeks after a fatal accident and these knuckleheads are looking for alcohol. ” Maybe the RCS school district can get a discount on the grief counseling they provide after the fact. Is that in the budget? Plenty of money to spend but none to spend wisely.

Less than 1 in 5 persons in Coeymans eligible to vote actually voted in the budget vote! And they weren’t property owners voting for a tax increase, we know that for sure!

Coeymans has a population of about 7500 persons with 13% over 65 years of age. In 2010 there were approximately 3000 housing units in Coeymans, of which 70% were owner occupied (the tax base). 91% of residents 25 years old or older are high-school graduates but only 1 in 5 has a bachelor’s degree (they graduated high school but either couldn’t get into a 4-year college or didn’t try)! Of those employed, they travel an average of 26 minutes to work (Obviously they don’t work locally. Where would they work?) Half of the population earns less than $55,500 a year, and there’s a 10% poverty rate. About one quarter of Coeymans residents is under 18 years of age; 13% are over 65 years old. OK. Let’s do some old-fashioned math: 25% of Coeymans are under 18 so they can’t vote. That leaves 75% of Coeymans residents who can vote, or 5,675 eligible voters. Let’s say, just for argument’s sake, that only 5000 are legally registered and can actually vote. The numbers for the budget vote show only about 900 total votes were cast on May 16, 2017. that means that less than 1 in 5 eligible voters actually voted (This is probably less, considering that parts of New Baltimore in Greene County could participate in the voting!). This is even more alarming because if we can believe the US census data, 70% of the some 3000 housing units in the town of Coeymans are owner occupied, meaning that they are property owners and foot the tax bill. That’s about 2,100 voters, at least, who should have showed up to vote on the budget! How many property owners do you know who would vote for a tax increase? So you can guess who the majority of the about 600 votes were, who voted for the budget and the tax increase, can’t you? Piss poor performance in our opinion! Are you proud of yourselves, Coeymanites.

“The impact of the reduced assessment will be reflected in September 2017 tax bills when residents will likely see an estimated tax rate increase between 4.5 and 6.5 percent (based on 2016 tax assessment figures), depending on town of residency.

The RCS Graduate:
Can’t draw, can’t spell, can’t count, can’t write,, can’t drive.
Can drink, can fornicate, can finger-fondle any electronic device.
Can get a social services check.

Local Corporations Get Tax Breaks; Property Owners Get a Tax Increase; Teachers Get Increases in Perks and Benefits; Students look forward to a lousy education; We all Get Shoddy Government by Incompetent Ego-maniacs; Our Roads Get Worse (Our idiot highway departments fill in potholes with sand today, pothole’s back tomorrow). The budget calls for an increase in total spending of 2.6 percent from the 2016-17 school year and a tax levy increase of 1.25 percent, which equals the district’s limit based on the state’s tax levy cap calculation. Translation: for a home valued at $150,000 with no STAR exemption this would lead to a projected tax increase of $195 for Bethlehem residents, $116 for Coeymans residents, $117 for New Scotland residents, and $153 for New Baltimore residents. Here’s what you get for your tax increaase:

  • Local Corporations Get Tax Breaks
  • Tax burden shifts to property owners and small businesses
  • Property Owners Get a Tax Increase
  • Teachers Get Increases in Perks and Benefits
  • Students look forward to a lousy education
  • We all Get Shoddy Government by Incompetent Ego-maniacs
  • Our Roads Get Worse (Our idiot highway departments fill in potholes with sand today, pothole’s back tomorrow)
  • You get less in the package for more in the manufacturer’s pocket (Do you ever read the labels of your coffee containers?)
  • Welfare recipients get their cell phones, transportation, manicures, healthcare for free (Are you going to work today? Second job? Third job?)

Voters turned out in very low numbers, again. Even more alarming is that — even with the low turnout– there seems to be a bizarre pattern in the voting this year (similar to past years) With with the budget receiving 538 in favor and 294, the bus proposition 537 yes and 289 no; The RCS Community Library budget showed the same pattern of 593 in favor and 297. (RCS Central School District webpage, 2017-18 budget passed by voters, last accessed on May 17, 2017). Even more bizarre is that several of the local news reports repeat each other’s stories almost word for word!

The only good news coming out of this year’s budget vote was that the RCS Community Library vote passed with 593 in favor and 297 opposed. Residents also re-elected two candidates to the library board of trustees. Bravo! RCS Community Library!

The only ones with half a brain appear to be the baby-boomers and they’re quickly disappearing from the area, leaving outright, or just dying. It appears anyone born after 1980 is a product of the materialist consumerism that haunts us today. Those born in and after the 1990’s are a total loss to their anxieties and greed. After 2000, they are either chemical or electronic addicts; orphans, really, and unable to articulate a sentence or even make change at the counter, even when the amount of change is displayed on a screen.

Your school tax dollars at work. Thank you.

Community is Fed Up with Constant Rehashing of Krzykowski Story

Coeymans Town Board Member Peter Masti Comments “Privately” in Ravena News Herald

fed up pissed off express

The abuse of freedom of expression has reached a high point in this district when a Coeymans town board member, Mr Peter E. Masti, an elected official in this town, has to come out publicly and remind this community that the voters, when they speak through their votes, speak in one voice.

Jackass Journalism

Jackass Journalism
News Herald Trademark

In the Ravena News Herald (January 17, 2013, page 3) writer Melanie Lekocevic rehashes the already stale news of Mr Rodney Krzykowski and his exercise of his Constitutional rights. The story, already almost a year since the Albany Times Union picked up on it through the local Coeymanazis, is ancient history–ironically it appeared alongside the column, “News from the Past“. But apparently the News Herald found it newsworthy and printed it. Well, we all know that the Ravena News Herald, like the Albany Times Union specializes in Jackass Journalism, but we did expect that the News Herald would be a bit more sensitive and less indifferent to the community it allegedly serves!

Well, in that same rag, the Ravena News Herald (January 24, 2013, page 10), Coeymans town board member Peter E. Masti, comes out in a letter to the editor saying, “It is sad to see the matter being brought up again.” Yes, Mr Masti, it is “sad.”

Mr Masti correctly observes that the rehashing over and over again of this issue “gives the town of Coeymans another black eye.” And notes further that “[t]he fact of the matter had to have been known…before he was elected, if anyone sought to find out.” Again, Mr Masti, you are right on target.

Mr Masti raises the point that this has gone far beyone “a personal feud,” and although Matt Miller is taking advantage of his right, Mr Masti questions whether it is “helping out the school and the town?” Mr Masti writes that it is not and is adversely affecting this community and adds: “All the publicity only hurts a lot of innocent people.

Mr Masti, himself and elected official on the town board of Coeymans, he correctly observes that “with with every election good or bad results are due to the people who vote or fail to vote…that is how America works.”

We agree 101% with Mr Masti’s reasoning and wisdom. We, too, feel that Mr Matthew J. Miller’s ill-thought scheme to pursue his personal agenda and ignite a personal feud brought ridicule and scandal to this community. Miller’s feud and personal vendetta’s were open and undisguised; they couldn’t possibly be mistaken for community spirited action.

Come Up for Air, Matt

Come Up for Air, Matt

We would go further to say that far from Mr Masti’s words of wisdom, Matthew Miller’s example is very poor indeed and reflects only his lack of character and his ulterior motives of self-enrichment, egomania, and his clear loyalty to New York State Teachers United, his union, and his disregard, insensitivity and indifference to what matters in this community. Matthew Miller’s message to this community is clear: Miller, Tavia Rauch, and the so-called “Unidentified Resident” a.k.a. “Cowardly Rat Turd”, don’t give a rat’s butt about the voice of the community, the democratic process, the voters. Miller’s conduct is purely selfish and motivated by a damaged ego and loss of an ill-gotten paid position that was eliminated in the community’s best interests.

Matthew Miller, although he does claim to be an atheist, as a biology teacher, even an atheistic one, can and should be aware that community, whether human or otherwise, means interrelatedness. As Martin Luther King, Jr. famously and prophetically argued, “We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied into a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly affects all indirectly.”  Those are wise words that we should all heed and heed well!

Mr Krzykowski was elected by the RCS district and community, he was not appointed by Matthew Miller. Mr Krzykowski should be allowed to complete his term of office and to do the work he was elected to do without these stupid distractions. If and when Mr Krzykowski decides to run again in this outrageously ungrateful district, the voters will decide, not Matthew Miller, NYSUT’s local lackey.

More Rogue, Retaliative Teachers

It Would Be an Understatement to Say that the State of Affairs at the RCS High School is Literally Ass-End-Backwards; And It’s the Prima Donna Teachers Who are the Delinquents, Not the Students!

Why Does RCS Have So Many Pinhead Teachers?

Why Does RCS Have So Many Pinhead Teachers?

Readers Comment

One reader asks: “Why is it we seem to get stuck with all the lunatic teachers and the good ones don’t stay?” Well, there’s some local wisdom that goes something like this: “Shit sticks…” While that’s only partially true, we do have some good teachers but they mind their own business and teach. The bad ones know a good thing when they see it; besides, they have nowhere else to go, nobody was someone else’s problems. And, furthermore, because we’re actually stuck with them, the community goes into denial, and forces itself to believe their precious assets and can do no wrong. It’s similar to having an old junker and putting money into minor repairs, finally, when the biggie comes up, we’ve got so much invested in it already we justify to ourselves going that extra mile. In the end we still have a junk car but we’ve invested a new car’s value in it! Doesn’t make sense but we do that. Same with teachers, elected officials, police departments. We have to admit to ourselves what is real and what is unreal or we’re doomed to remain an ongoing backwoods scandal. Another reader mentions that “unions are for bad teachers, the good ones don’t need a union!” How true. But the unions are there and they’re doing their damage…until we change that fact. Union or no union, parents and the community have the real power to make things change but we have to use it. This blog is an example of local power, and that local power has gone beyond community, county, state, even national borders. Our issues are now on the international map!

Now, that having been said… Here we have this character, and character he is, a character from some second rate Dork Tracey comic strip. Robert Dorrance. Excuse me, “ProfessorRobert Dorrance (it seems he really likes himself, thinks he’s pretty smart. But he’s actually quite, well, pathetic.) or so he likes to call himself. Sorry, Bobby Pinhead, you’re misrepresenting yourself when you give yourself titles like “professor.”  You’re simply an overpaid high-school teacher, bud.

Well, Mr Genius Dorrance recently stepped in a pile when, true to the abuse tradition at RCS High School, he writes up a student for not showing up in his class. Sounds like a reasonable thing to do, doesn’t it? Well, if you think so, you’d better pull your head out because if it looks normal and it’s RCS it’s probably really bizarre. And so it is. You see, several days before wonder-boy Bob Dorrance writes the kid up, his parents send in a notification that the student will be out for medical reasons; he was to have surgery.

You’d think that the geniuses at the High School would have the sense to communicate (for more on communications at RCS see our article “Zombification“). No way, José! Communicate? So, the student is out on a Thursday and a Friday, in surgery, recovering, and dud Dorrance writes the kid up. Nice going, Bobby “Pinhead” Dorrance!

We’ve received unconfirmed information that “Professor” Bobby “Pinhead” Dorrance is his own hospitality center, too. Seems that the teachers at the RCS high school are very special people, far above having to give a second thought about energy. Just set up your own hospitality corner in your classroom! Coffee anyone? One lump or two? Cream? Isn’t that the way it goes “Professor” Dorrance? Is that coffee pot and hospitality nook still in your classroom, Bob? Real energy conscious. Now where’s that principal, what’s his name, Brian? Brian Bailey? Isn’t he responsible for enforcing policy in the high school?

What's the next step, Mr Dorrance, table service?

What’s the next step, Mr Dorrance, white-glove table service?

Look, there is a distict policy that prohibits coffee pots, fridges, hotplates, and the like for personal use on school property. The main enforcers of the policy are supposed to be the head custodian and the principal. Yes, that’s Brian Bailey, isn’t it? HELLO! Principal Bailey, head custodian…look under your noses…waddaya see? Maybe they should be hauled in to explain to the RCS board of education, to the interim superintendent in public session, why this is going on in the high school. Can’t we expect teachers, administrators to be adult enough not to need personal supervision? Are these the people who are supervising the students!?! Is this nutz or wot? Ass-end-backwards is what it is!

Gimme my stipedn!!!

Gimme my stipend!!!

This is the same Bob Dorrance who was running the early morning weights room…for a stipend. Yeah, he’d go in early and open up the weights room for the guys but it wasn’t out of dedication or fellowship, it was for a stipend. $ MONEY $ Everyone in the system has to grab as much of the budget as possible. That’s why the highest-rated course at RCS high school is GREED, and the course is taught by real experts. Well, the district wised up when the teachers clique lost their majority and Bobby Boy lost his stipend. Bye-bye stipend. Enter evil Bobby Biatch…teachers get that way when they get caught with their hands in the taxpayers’ cookie jar…we now have a very unhappy “Professor” on the loose and he’s going to test the ice every chance he can, and punish anyone he can. Well, he can try…and he’ll answer for it, too!

And, lest we forget, this is one of the RCS Sports Association geniuses, you know the bunch of Coeymanazis who didn’t have have to answer to anyone. You know, the bunch who were an inch away from tax fraud…did I say an “inch” away? The same ones who finally didn’t come up with any documents but the did come up with an new RCS Sports Association with a new board etc. I guess it was easer to come up with a new association and board than it was to come up with the documents. Right?

Yes! I am your evil, greedy role model!</big?

Yes!
I am your evil, greedy role model!

And last but not least, we’ve put this guy in a central position as a role model for our young men: “Professor” Bobby Pinhead Dorrance is a [$ paid $] varsity football coach! Just the kind of role model we need for the young men…just the kind of guy we want them to grow up to be. A real hero! NOT! We have published plenty on our fine athletics coaches: abusing players, foul language losing matches, etc., etc. So Dorrance’s having found a cozy niche with the other clique members shouldn’t be a big surprise to anyone–except the parents of the athletes.

Foul-mouthed RCS coach loses match for athletes!

Foul-mouthed RCS coach loses match for athletes!

So, dear residents and taxpayers, we have a runner-up for the Matt “the Mutt” Miller American Kennel Club Butt-sniffing Award: Mr Robert “Bobby Pinhead” Dorrance for irresponsibility in the energy conservation efforts, student abuse, ignorance, and greed. Another product of your New York State United Teachers union ensuring that teachers get away with anything at your and your childrens’ expense. Your tax dollars at work, keeping hypocrisy alive and well in our RCS community!

Special Note: Did you think NYSUT wasn’t watching? We published this article at 12:57 and between 1:03 p.m. and 1:28 p.m., that’s in the first 30 minutes, NYSUT had visited this blog and this article 5 different times! They’re staying on top of this one!

We Have to Consider Whether the New York State United Teachers, the Teachers Union Represented by Matt Miller in the RCS Central School District is Behind the Outrageous Attacks on This Community, Our School District, and our Board of Education Members.

Teachers Union (NYSUT) & Times UnionLYNCH MOB

Teachers Union (NYSUT) & Times Union
LYNCH MOB

And we have to seriously consider whether teachers union, NYSUT, is connected or behind the Albany Times Union, our own regional whore-paper, that is consistently attacking our community, our school district, our board of education. After all, the Times Useless is a liberal rag and NYSUT is a union, after all, with loads of money to flash around.

Isn’t It Interesting That Just Days After We Published An Article Criticising Matt Miller and His Supporters that the Times Useless Publishes an Editorial Attaching the RCS Board of Education? I See a Connection, Don’t You?

We recently reported on local teachers union flapperdoodle Matt Miller’s corrupt practices (double-dipping as energy manager) and his hypocritical double standards (he and his supporters trash parents who file complaints against the district for real problems while Matt Miller files complaints because his double/triple dipping was stopped!).

We also pointed out that Matt Miller, as NYSUT’s local representative in our district, is putting in only about 1/3 teaching and in the other 2/3 of his time he’s doing union-connected activities. Even if it were the other way around, you should not be paying for his time as a union representative!

Dirty-Hands Jerry: “We don’t care…”

Dirty-Hands Jerrry Has Resurfaced and Arrogantly Thinks He’s the Spokesperson for the Entire RCS Central School District: “We don’t care what the other schools do!” Well, We Don’t Care What You Care About, Jerry, Either.

Dirty-Hands Jerry Don’t Care!

According to Gerald “Dirty-Hands Jerry” Deluca, the RCS parents and residents shouldn’t care what other districts are doing. That profound bit of lunatic wisdom came during the public statement portion of the September 4, 2012, RCS board of education meeting, when Deluca made a cameo appearance after months of invisibility. Deluca was remarkably understated and gentle when he took the podium, even timid. We can only guess what the effects of his long withdrawal and quiet time might have been (was it imposed by the Ravena-Coeymans godfather, we wonder?). He was getting too mouthy and uppity, anyway. No one missed him or his bottle baglady partner Cathy Deluca  nor his lapdog R.J. D’Esposito. But school’s in session and they’re back so we might as well get used to it.

Damn! Just when the neighborhood started to look good again!

Deluca made the statement, apparently on behalf of the Coeymanazi mob, because all previous speakers were apalled at the article published in the Sunday Times Useless, “Big tab, mixed results. State’s per pupil cost is tops in U.S., but outcomes elusive” (S. Waldman, Sept 1, 2012) (Click here to read the entire article.)

The article reports per pupil expenses for some area school districts for the 2010-2011 school year (the most recent available). RCS is the highest cost per pupil of the entire group! Why is that?

  • Albany: $19,723
  • Ballston Spa: $16,248
  • Bethlehem: $17,026
  • East Greenbush: $17,980
  • Guilderland: $15,906
  • Niskayuna: $17,398
  • Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk: $21,011
  • Saratoga Springs: $14,760
  • Schenectady: $16,519
  • Shenendehowa: $15,014
  • South Colonie: $16,173
  • Troy: $19,792
  • Voorheesville: $18,176

But Dirty-Hands Jerry doesn’t think that’s significant because, Deluca wants us all to know that he’s there  “to remind people is that this school district does so  many good things for kids and wehn I hear people stand up and say we’re not Bethlehem or we’re not Balston Spa. No, we’re not. We’re RCS and we do very good things and we want to do the best we can for our kids. We don’t care what other schools do.”

Well, Mr Deluca, some of us do care what other districts are doing. We’re not into this isolation thing you seem to worship. We live in a world where we need to be aware of what’s going on around us. We need to compare and, by comparing, learn from others. We’re not as wise and all-knowing as you seem to think you are, Jerry. If this district is the most expensive out of some 13 districts surveyed, there’s really something wrong here. When Bethlehem and Ballston Spa and Albany can do it for less, there’s something really wrong in this district and we’d better hurry up and find out what it is. Any ideas, Jerry?

And we’d better care what the other districts are doing because the state and federal education authorities have a silly little thing they call comparisons. They tend to like to compare things, especially, school performances (and RCS’s performance, despite the hype, is pretty mediocre) costs per pupil, and they tend to ask some very sticky questions when things start to look a little odd, like in the RCS district. Didn’t you know that, Jerry? But you’re special, aren’t you? You don’t have to care. Well the rest of us do, Jerry, so Shut up and disappear, Jerry!

Jerry Deluca and his mob crammed the 2012-13 RCS school budget down your throats, now you’re seeing where that great advice got you all! What about all you Yes! voters who are now screaming bloody murder that you’re going to have to pay more to use school facilities? How do you all feel now that the teachers clique and the Deluca mob has led you down the rosey path to oblivion? Maybe now you’ll start listening to the real people, the business persons on the board of education and stop pointing the finger!

(Has anyone bothered to ask what the RCS school district is charging Cathy Deluca and her gang for the use of the school property for the so-called RCS Bottle Blitz? That’s not an official program of the RCS school district, either. The RCS Bottle Blitz is an entirely privately organized activity that has nothing to do with the RCS Central School District. So Cathy Deluca and Loraine Misuraca, you have to make a request, the request must be discussed by the BoE, and you have to pay for the use of the facilities. O.K.? Are you thinking about that, Superintentent Elizabeth R. Smith?)

Residents and Property Owners, You’d Better Start Asking Some Very Serious Questions Why the RCS CSD is Costing Property Owners more than $21,000 per pupil! There’s A Big Hole Somewhere and Your Money’s Leaking Into a Big Pit (a.k.a. a cesspool of corruption). (New Baltimore Residents had Better Start Doing Some Investigation, Too, Because You’re the Heaviest Taxed of Any of the RCS Locales! You need to consider why this is so when thinking about whether to re-elect your current town board mafia members. New Baltimore, you need to wake up, too! You’re being snookered.)

Jerry Deluca Doesn’t Care
The RCS CSD Is A Money Pit!

Times Union Only Gets Worse…And Worse…And Worse

Warning: If you are a student or a minor, please leave this blog NOW!

The Times Union is Continuing Its
Disgraceful Abuse of the Public Trust and Misrepresenting Facts.

And a small loudmouthed minority of you go around bitching about the blogger this and the blogger that, and the blog! So far, my dear friends and neighbors, this is the only place you have been able to read the facts, the truth, and what’s more, everything you read is supported by verifiable sources! So what’s your beef, people? Too much truth and not enough misinformation?

When????

Well, if That’s Your Problem, You’ll be Pleased to Know that the Smalbany Times Useless is Continuing to Make the Ravena Coeymans Selkirk community the laughing stock of the entire depressed and provincial Capital District.  You really need to ask youself, citizens, residents of Ravena, Coeymans and Selkirk why is it that the Times Union is picking on you and your community as if there’s not enough to find in the New York state governor’s mansion, the State Legislature, in other school districts across the region. Why is the Times Union so obsessed with Ravena, Coeymans, Selkirk? Is that all the news there is in the Capital Region?

Time To Tell the Rag
ENOUGH!!!

When is the School Superintendent going to protest the lambasting and scandalizing of her district? When is the Times Union finally going to get some ethics, some decent reporting skills, some integrity, some balls and go after the real problems in the Capital District, in the State Legistlature, in the Albany County District Attorney’s Office!!!

When are YOU going to finally take a stand?

It’s Obvious: The Albany Times Union Is
Bullying US, the Average Citizen!
Where are its real interests?

Have you ever wondered that the Times Union hasn’t reported a thing on the real corruption in our community? The Coeymans Police Department, the Coeymanazis who pushed the 2012-2013 school budget, the teachers and teachers union who staged the performances, for lack of a better description, by students in and around the voting area, the double-dipping, the fact that when all of the craziness was going on it was the teachers, the teachers spouses, and the teachers union who had the majority on the RCS school board! Doesn’t anyone hear that? Read it again! Now do you understand?

Those blind prostitutes at the Times Union, instead of praising the RCS CDS school board for making courageous decisions once the citizen/resident side got the majority, crucify the board members who were duly elected by this community.

Instead of praising the board of education members who voted to give Matt Miller his walking papers, that’s the teacher who pulls $88 grand out of the district in salary, who works a reduced teaching load so that he can take care of union business at taxpayer expense–no state department allows an employee to do union business on state time and pays that employee–but the RCS central school district does. And then, when the sitting citizen/resident side of the board under the presidency of John Vadney gives the parasite the boot, and refuses to renew Matt Miller’s position as “energy manager” and refuses to pay him an additional $10 grand on top of the $88 grand he receives in salary, the Albany Times Union sides with the crooks, and blasts the RCS board of education.

The Delucas are posting all over the place on social media that poor Matt “the Mutt” was a victim, that it was not good sense, not right, but personal and a political move, when the RCS board of education opted to save this district $10 by not renewing a useless position that was being misused by the district crooks to reward an insider, Matt Miller, president of the RCS CSD teachers association. How corrupt is that?

Who in hell does the Times Union think it is telling this district how to run its affairs. It’s this district that will solve its own problems and it doesn’t need the Smalbany Times Usless’ help to do it.

Don’t you wonder who’s behind all of this crapola? Who it is that’s perverting the facts, and what’s in it for them to make this community look like a gaggle of inbred woodchucks basking on a dung heap of a community? Someone must have an “in” and is getting special service from the Times Useless to have them mess up the facts so criminally, and conspicuously  avoid reporting on the real problems.

But the gnawing question is: How can a well-established regional newspaper be so stupid? You’d expect that sort of unprofessional behavior and indifference to the truth to be something you’d see in a small-town, mom-and-pop rag that would foster local feuds and biases. But to have a Hearst Corporation company act so imbecilic and so irresponsibly? They all need to be given their walking papers!

Now some giant dork of an editor at the Times Union gets on the bandwagon–but we have noted that she or he didn’t identify him or herself in the article, there’s no by-line– and is insulting the whole damned RCS community in a Sunday editorial.

Haven’t You Noticed Anything Yet?

And hasn’t anyone asked the question why John Vadney is getting all the attention in this fraudulent aggravated harrasment frame-up? Wasn’t Dirty-Hands Jerry’s good friend Josephine O’Connor the source of all the lunacy in the first place? Wasn’t it Josephine O’Connor’s father, Joseph “Joe” Tracey who accosted a local business woman and threatened her and her family?  Wasn’t it Joe Tracey who got himself arrested by the Bethlehem Police? Did you ever ask why it had to be the Bethlehem police? Wasn’t it Joe Tracey who got slammed with a protective order to keep John Vadney’s family from harm? Wasn’t it Joe Tracey who admits in a sworn deposition that the morning after getting slammed by a Town of Bethlehem judge with an order of protection to stay away from John Vadney’s home that Joe Tracey actually violates the protection order, drives to Vadney’s home, sees the police there, and then takes off? Did you every ask how Joe Tracey or was it Deluca, as a favor to his  dear little pet Josephine O’Connor, who took Joe Tracey’s complaint and sent the Coeymanazis to arrest John Vadney–in violation of Judge Jordan’s order of protection! No police in the civilized world would have actually arrested anyone on such idiotic grounds, but the Coeymanazis did. And you didn’t ask why? And you didn’t ask who gave the orders?

There are obviously very good explanations for all of this: What good would it have done the Coeymanazis to take the businesswoman’s complaint and arrest Joe Tracey for his misconduct. Answer, in case you need help with it : NONE. But did you ask why the Coeymanazis responded so immediately and so totally to Joe Tracey’s fraudulent complaint? It was all a conspiracy, a set up to get rid of citizen/resident board members and to keep the teachers majority. Once the they got rid of the citizen/residents–look how many times and how they’ve consistently tried to get board members to resign! It was almost a regular occurrence! They have cooked up so many scandals and half-truths to get public backing and they, the Coeymanazis, still failed.

But if you can frame, set up a prominent leader on the board of education, that, my friends would be a real blow to everyone.  And so, in their insane logic, they keep repeating the same idiotic mantra and the Times Useless keeps printing it like a good tabloid should, hoping that somehow, if you hear it enough, you’ll believe it. Don’t let that happen! For your own good! For your own self-respect! For your own survival!

Coeymanazi Message to You

Then the vote YES! bunch got the 2012-12 school budget approved by the board of education by the teachers majority at the time, saddled the community property owners with an additional 6.8% tax levy, pulled at everyone’s heart strings with the shroud of “it’s for the kids,” did everything that the RCS community is now being investigated for, and now they and the Times Useless are trying to shift the public’s attention to everyone but the guilty ones! Are you RCS citizens/residents totally missing all of this?

The Coeymanazis and the Delucas cry, “Get rid of Vadney, the  Lukens, the Robbins, the Krzykowskis, the Sylvesters (yeah, they have already been attacking Judy Sylvester!) on the board!” Who do they suggest to take their places…some select Coeymanazies? Is that why are they are attacking Judy Sylvester, because she voted her good conscience on the board of education president and vice president, because she voted her good conscience on getting rid of Matt Miller and saving the community $10 grand! She’s on the blacklist now because she didn’t vote the Deluca way! Are you still missing the connections?

More than $41 is an awful big temptaion for those already in the school system and receiving the benefits of the school budget and the contracts that may come out of it. And you think that those standing to benefit directly or indirectly for their favors and support are going to let a bunch of normal citizens make decisions that may prevent the graft, corruption and thievery that’s been going on in this district for years…the swimming pool was just the start.

The teachers and Deluca wanted James Latter to be president of the BoE; that failed. Then they tried to get him in as vice-president, that failed, too! James Latter was their only choice! But we all know James Latters history of misconduct, just read this blog and our article James Latter: Why Is He Still On the Board of Education? What do you think, we make this stuff up? It used to be reported in the News Herald but now that’s a Coeymanazi rag, too. Just ask around. Ask some parents about Latter’s misconduct! But James Latter was the Coeymanazi choice because he plays the Coeymanazi game.

It’s really nutz. I just read on one of the social media sites one of our own residents, R.J. D’Esposito, big idiotic grin on his fat face, posting a link to the latest Times Useless smear of the RCS community! This is the same R.J. D’Esposito that Dirty Hands Jerry keeps in tow. Why would D’Esposito relish in passing such garbage on, and drawing more attention to that despicable RAG that it ever deserves. That’s like shitting where you eat…maybe he does. We’ve been  told that  the FaceBook bandits on “RCS Friends and More,” apparently run by the Coeymanazis led by Cathy Deluca, whose favorite phrase is: “Just ignore him,”  allow R.J. D’Esposito to post the TU links (is that little grinning weasel working for the TU, we wonder?), but on reader tried to get equal time for this blog as an alternate viewpoint and the “RCS Friends” keep on removing it.  Deluca and her minions apparently would rather publish the anti-RCS blather from the Times Useless than the truth and true facts. There’s your community leader Cathy Deluca, for you. Well, with “RCS Friends” like D’Esposito and Deluca, we certainly don’t need any enemies!

We just heard (July 16, evening) that Michelle Waldenmaier Koeppel, one of the administrators on RCS Friends & More (FaceBook) has gone on a deleting rampage and has deleted all of the “political” comment on the site. Her reasoning is because the site is only for “getting together and sharing good times.” Of course, we know the real reason for the tyranical purge, don’t we? Now the majority of posts are by Guess who? None other than Cathy Deluca!

Lord Jeezis! When are you people going to wake up and smell the burning toast? How much of a smoke alarm do you people need to start pumping water on your burning community? How much longer are you going to lie down, roll over, get kicked, and thank the abusers for the abuse?

When are you finally going to tell that rag, the Times Useless, to go play someplace else? When are you finally gooing to stand up for what’s clearly, conspicuously, obviously right, and decisively clean your house of the Coeymanzies!

Get smart and stop believing all of the shite you’re beeing spoon fed! This is really getting embarrassing and really frustrating to stand on the sidelines and watch you people get creamed!

You Need to Make Some Choices!

It’s Clean-up Time in RCS

Warning: If you are a student or a minor, please leave this blog NOW!

Bye-bye, Matt!
Times Are Changing!

“We Don’t Need A Position To Tell People To Turn Off The Lights!”

On July 10, 2012, as one  of its first official acts the newly installed RCS board of education took a first decisive step in removing waste and corruption in the district: it voted to revoke the position of RCS energy manager.

Common Sense Is Your Job, Too!

Those words spoken by one of the public commentors at the July 10 board of education meeting just about sum up the RCS board of education majority’s position with regard to the position of the RCS energy manager. The position was rescinded (revoked) and not renewed, though not completely eliminated.

Get On The Same Page
as the Rest of US!

Board members Engel, Whalen, Reville, and Latter, the now minority teachers’ clique, all argued idiotically why the position should not be rescinded. Whalen whining that it was eliminating a position. It was not. Engel interrogating the board and the superintendent why they would want to eliminate the position and assign the work to another department. Which was ridiculous and totally off topic. Engel, Whalen, Reville, and Latter failed to distract the board from what they were dealing with: a motion to opt to NOT continue a practice that was but should never have been. Common sense prevailed and the position was not renewed.

The true facts were that Matt “the Mutt” Miller was doing very little for the additional $10K he was soaking the district for. Most of the work had already been done. People simply had to police themselves and others. Common sense, right?

Up ’til now Miller was not only drawing his teacher salary while teaching only 2 periods so that he could do his teachers union politicking. While all that was going on he was parading about as the district “energy manager.”

Rather than accept the board’s decision and exit quietly and gracefully, Matt “the Mutt” Miller (after restlessly, nervously parading back and forth in front of the camera while the discussions and voting were going on), almost immediatly took to the speaker’s podium to declare himself a victim of “dirty politics”–of all people to make that accusation–when the president objected and advised Miller that he was being offensive and out of order, teacher and “role-model” Matt “the Mutt” replies, “It’s my opinion and I’m allowed to have it.” Well, yes, Matt, you can have your opinion but you should also have some d-i-g-n-i-t-y.

Matt Miller, Ex-Energy Manager
Too bad, Matt!
It’s Not Personal, It’s Right!

And no, Matt, it’s not “dirty politics,” it’s not “personal agendas,” and it’s not “Let’s get Matt.” In other words, Matt Miller, it’s not personal, it’s common sense. So drop the paranoic victim act!  It’s right. It’s in the interest of the district and in the interest of the common good. You should know that! And it’s not because if a citizen speaks out, there’ll be retaliation or coercion. You should know better than that, Matt. You and your pals know all about “dirty politics,” retaliation and coercion; that’s why the district is being audited and investigated, and sued! Isn’t that how you and your fellow Coeymanazis pushed the budget vote thru? That same vote that is now under very serious investigation? Still! Gross miscalculation, Matt, and you’re feeling the first stings now. Bye-bye, Matt!

Let me spell it out for you Mr-President-of-the-RCS-Teachers Association: It was because the Voice of Reason spoke louder than the voices of special interests. It was because you were soaking the RCS district for $10,000 a year in addition to your teachers salary, getting special treatment, doing your teachers union crap, all at the same time! It’s because you were a legalized thief! But even more basically, it was because the position is fluff! As one speaker put it last night: “You don’t need a position to tell people to turn off the lights!”

Shoe's on the Other Foot!

Does the Common Good
Make You Pucker, Mrs Whalen?

And Mrs Whalen: Stop your damned whining! You’re about as productive on the board as a disconnected computer terminal! Your re-election makes about as much sense, too; simply that fact is grounds for questioning the validity of the election results! Look, your position is as clear as the noonday sun, though not quite as bright. You are a teacher, through and through, and anything, any decision made that does not expressly benefit your friends and colleagues is going to be “bullying” to you. (If you teachers so easily identify bullying then why is it so rampant at the high school? Can you tell us that, Ms Whalen?) The shoe was on the other foot only recently, wasn’t it. Too bad you have to succumb to the democratic process! But like double-dipper, atheist-teacher, bully-inciter Matt the Mutt’s right to his opinion so, too, you have your right to an opinion but don’t burden the rest of us with it. Here’s our assessment of your attitude:  Sour grapes!

Do you get it now, Matt? Sorry, but the special treatment in RCS is soon to be a thing of the past! So is all the other corruption and criminality.

The Voice of Reason, of Wisdom Has Been Heard!

Congratulations to all of the new board members and to John Vadney and Mike Robbins. John Vadney was re-elected to be president of the board of education and Mike Robbins was elected to be vice-president.  (Editor’s Note: The teachers clique tried unsuccessfully to push James Latter thru first as nominee for president and when that failed, then as vice-president. That attempt failed, too! With Latter’s record, the gnawing question is WHY? he’s still on the board at all! Why?!?! See our article James Latter: Why Is He Still On the Board of Education?)  This show of confidence by the board gives the citizens/residents interests a clear majority over the teachers clique on the board, and will force more dialogue and consensus when discussing the demands of special interest groups, like plum positions like the “energy manager” positionor teachers writing the book on how teachers should be evaluated!

No More
Rubber-Stamp Approvals!

As Jeff Lukens responded to the teachers’ demands that the board approve their evaluation document because it was a “good document” and because the teachers “worked hard on it.” Jeff Lukens’ response was:

‘It would be unethical and unprofessional of me to vote on a document I know so little about and have not had time to read.’*

Bravo! Mr Lukens! And when asked to “trust” the teachers that it was OK, Mike Robbins cited past history and responded,

‘We trusted you several times before and got burnt; I’m afraid we can’t approve this on “trust.’*

No more rubber-stamping on the RCS school board, it seems.

At the first meeting of the newly installed RCS board of education, things are really looking good for the district. Finally! This new majority is going to be looking very closely at citizens’ and residents’ complaints and the teachers clique had better collaborate. The spotlight is on the corruption and criminality now. Things are starting to change for the better.
