New Baltimore Democrat Country Club: The Sequel.

Our Slogan Has Always Been: The Truth Comes Out No Matter What.

New Baltimore: Why so nasty, Dems?

A frequent criticism of the Republicans overall is that they come across as wimpy when compare to the in-your-face aggression of the Dems. That’s a gross mistaken impression because Republicans, at least real Republicans, aren’t wimpy at all, dear readers. Republicans are decent, have values, and respect one another and you, too! They’re not called the Right for nothing!

A frequent cry among most Republicans and Conservatives in recent years has been how the Dems run really nasty campaigns. Sure, the Dems are appealing to what the Democrat strategists perceive as the unwashed masses, they tend to reinforce the idea that if you’re poor, unemployed, not white, not college material then you’re a victimhelpless, and…stupid..  (and on closer examination, that very presumption makes the Dems even more corrupt and pandering). Perhaps the Dems perceive themselves as having to lower themselves and their campaign behaviors to the beastial level simply to ensure that they get all the marginalized votes. They presume voters to be victims, not dignified persons. Republicans, in contrast, have strong values and moral appeal, and in the long haul, represent that morality in the way they conduct themselves locally and nationally.

Now, let’s be clear: I’m talking about the “official” party approach to the campaigning, and I’m not including what privately run supporters might do on syndicated radio or other media, or in their paid political announcements. Most of those so-called supporters are supporting only one thing: their own agendas and don’t represent the reall Tradition.

In one of my recent articles I lambasted the New Baltimore country club that meets in the New Baltimore town hall. I noted in that article how the New Baltimore supervisor, Susan K. O’Rorke, and her minions, the majority of the New Baltimore town board are not what they appear to be and are all in bed together. (see my article, “New Baltimore: Coeymans’ Evil Twin…Part II” )

What I didn’t include in that article was the observation that in this central New York state region, the observations I made of the hypocrisy and nastiness of the Democrats in the area, including candidates, elected officials, and their supporters, generally fit the bill of hypocrisy and nastiness. You’d almost think it was a prerequisite to register Democrat.

(In fact, a recent visitor from outside of the area, noted how no one seems to smile…she was referring to a group of glaring local Dems!)

Now, I’m talking about how two major political parties present themselves, not how government works, and that’s an important distinction to be made. In all honesty and as a purely non-political observation, I’d like to make the following practical comparisons before I move on to a real-life example:

  • Republicans are the values party; they lead the country in a direction of religious values and faith based initiatives. They advance positions of morality and ethics; they oppose, for example, certain forms of abortion, desecration of the sacrament of marriage, family values.
  • Republicans, no matter how you feel about politics, support community and responsibility. Republicans recognize that our institutions are what make us what we are (for better or for worse, as well see further on in this article).
  • Democrats on the other hand are indifferent to our established institutions and try at every turn to make quick changes (Obama’s chant was “Change”).
  • Democrats are indifferent even hostile to reglion and faith, they advance “secular humanism”, they want to make everyone equal despite the fact that nature makes us different, they want to drive a wedge between religion and state (no Bible, no prayer, no God in public places, offices, events), they are the party of the individual as opposed to community.

Why is itThe Republican Slogan is Faith and Family ValuesAnd the Dem Slogan is: Change?

    Why is it
    The Republican Slogan is
    Faith and Family Values

And the Dem Slogan is: Change?
(What is it that the Dems want to change in Faith and Family? Atheism and abortion, perhaps?)

Again, I do want to emphasize that these are my personal observations and you are free to check the facts for yourselves. You might want to go to a Democrat club event and then visit a Republican club event; make a comparison of how you were welcomed, treated, who spoke to you, etc. What they talk about.

Now if you look around your community, with the rare exception, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a “real” Republican in any of the public offices or key positions. Most of the so-called Republicans are RINOs (Republicans in name only) and have gotten into office by misleading the voters and prostituting themselves to get Democrat support. More on this later.

Again, if you look around your community, you’ll be able to confirm what I’ve been writing for some time now: Our communities are made up of three basic groups:

  • Those in power,
  • Those who think they have no power (and they’re wrong), and
  • Those who observe the dynamics between the two.

Now those in power include their minions and those people who feel they need to identify with the alphas to ensure that they don’t end on their shite lists (see what I have to say about the Stockholm syndrome and victims in my article “Just a Friendly Reminder“). The tag-alongs get a false sense of security if they stay close to the gangleaders. Those who think they have no power and so remain powerless are by far the majority. It’s that majority who the third group, the observers and the prophets, call out to to mobilize.

Where's honesty, integrity...?

Where’s honesty, integrity…?

In this immediate area, the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk district, the town of Coeymans and the town New Baltimore we have a Democrat machine operating. It has a long history in Albany County, a shorter one in Greene County. If you don’t think there’s a Democrat machine running over you, just check out the party affiliations in the majority of public offices and if they’re not Democrat, take a closer look at how they vote or whom they support and you’re likely to find a Democrat in disguise, like a RINO. And what’s more, ask yourself something about how they behave. More than likely you’ll have to admit that even my amateurish comparisons hit pretty darned close to the mark. Don’t they?

So, dear readers, we come to the main point of this article, a real-life example of what I’m talking about:

A reader recently sent me a letter from a group in New Baltimore endorsing the local Democrats and several Republicans (the RINOs named in my last article) for public office. At first blush you’d probably say: “Gee, that’s really nice. It’s great to see people crossing political lines and actually endorsing people who can do the job, regardless of their party affiliations!” Well, you’d be too hasty with that conclusion. And you’d be dead wrong, too!

The letter is dated November 3, 2011, and is addressed to “Fellow Democrat.” New Baltimore residents Robert “Bob” Knighten, Judi Bensenfelder, and Ken Rebusmen signed the letter which starts off telling the voter, the Democrat voter, that it’s “an important and unusual year for our local government in the Town of New Baltimore”… but it never gets to tell us Why? it’s important much less unusual, because it describes business-as-usual!

But what it does tell us is that three RINOs are running as pseudo-Republicans, Chris Norris, Lisa Benway, and Denis Jordan, and the Democrat writers are urging New Baltimore voters to vote for them!

kbr_troika_monkeys

Writing about Chris Norris, Knighten, Bensenfelder, and Rebusmen get all warm and fuzzy, it’s a Democrat lovefest in honor of their very own pet RINOS, Norris, Benway, and Jordan. We get a taste for their aggression only a sentence on when they refer to the “Byas/Meredith/Finke troika.” A bit of background on this very simple but loaded phrase. A troika is a sled or wagon drawn by three horses but is a symbol of Russia, so the image is that Byas, Meredith and Finke are as unamerican as Soviet Russia, where during the Stalin era, a commission of three judges (a “troika“) would pass judgment. Mr Byas was not re-elected but Meredith and Finke were. But the point is, the Knighten-Bensenfelder-Rebusman troika was a pot  calling the kettle black (a Democrat speciality, it seems). As the election turned out, Meredith and Finke, both Republicans in “good standing” were re-elected. Too bad for the Knighten-Bensenfelder-Rebusman troika. But don’t we refer to the Dems as the left? Aren’t leftists communists and socialists by nature, definition and politics? Go figure!

pot-calling-the-kettle-black

Moving on, that same letter then describes Lisa Benway, a RINO, as “a voice of reason and support for Supervisor O’Rorke on many occasions.” Out of one side of their mouths these citizen representatives of the Democrat party trash three residents in good standing, all Republicans, but now they have one, a RINO, a democrat running as a republican, who admittedly is “a voice of…support for Supervisor O’Rorke on many occasions.” Thank you, Ms Lisa Benway!

Facts are...

Facts are…

The writers then describe both Chris Norris and Lisa Benway, Republicans, remember, as having “earned them the enmity of the old line conservative Republicans who control the Republican committee purse strings,” and that they were not supported by the town Republican committee. Wonder why?  Why spend money on people who are working for the other side, not that there should be an “other side”?  But who cares, really. Why trash the town Republicans?  And besides, it’s obvious that they don’t have the backing of their own local party. So take them, Dems, they’re yours already, aren’t they? What point is that, you ask? You’ve already got Norris and Benway in your pockets; doesn’t that prove your point…and ours?

The point that Norris and Benway are hypocrites and deceptive, that they are RINOs, that they are tools of the local Democrat machine. They’re loved by the Democrats but they still run under the Republican name. Sneaky, eh?

When we get to the hype and spin about keeping New Baltimore Highway Superintendent Denis Jordan in his job, we really have to try not to guffaw. The Knighten-Bensenfelder-Rebusman troika writes: “Under his leadership town highway department staff provide excellent, cost effective service…[he] has worked diligently with his staff and Supervisor O’Rorke and Deputy Supervisor Norris to control costs.” Drive along Hamlet roads and you’ll see how O’Rorke, Norris, and Jordan are practicing cost-effective management; if you fall into one of those potholes you’ll know. And how many times a year do you have to fill the same hole? How much is that costing? Cost-effective management? For whom?  They’re controlling costs all right…sending us all to bankruptcy!

Don’t Fill the Potholes!

You can read the entire letter at Knighten-Bensenfelder-Rebusman troika.

So, dear readers, what was merely an amateurish observation by a non-political community observer was actually proved to be accurate, factual, and true by the New Baltimore Democrats themselves. Thank you Bob Knighten, Judi Bensenfelder, and Ken Rebusman. You and Joan Ross and Bob Ross with John Luckacovic make our job so much easier, indeed!

My recommendation to you, Knighten, Bensenfelder, Rebusman would be to thorougly review anything you write and send out in future. With a little practice you might even come up with a pursuasive communication that pulls the community together instead of driving wedges, something you appear to be very good at. I’d also recommend that you choose your examples with more care; turncoats, hypocrites and the like don’t do very much for your own credibility.

New Baltimore: Coeymans’ Evil Twin…Part II

Each of Us, With Very Few Exceptions, Likes Integrity, Especially in our Elected and Public Officials. We Put Great Trust in them, and The Power and Authority that they Exercise on Our Behalf Should be Exclusively for the Good. But What Should We Think When they Are One Thing on the Surface and Another under the Skin?

When Discussing New Baltimore Candidates and Elected Officers, I have to Ask Myself:What Is It, Really?

When Discussing New Baltimore Candidates and Elected Officers, I have to Ask Myself:
What Is It, Really?

Can We Really Trust People Who Are “In Name Only”?

We’ve done a lot for the RCS community in bringing out the truth about the village of Ravena and the crooks in Village Hall, and we’ve set the town of Coeymans’ teeth on edge with the exposure of the corruption and hypocrisy that’s going on in the Doublewide on renegades’ Russel Avenue.

Just recently we’ve taken a shot from the hip at Coeymans’ evil twin down the road, New Baltimore. Exposed some nerves with the publication of that wake-up call and now the little club on Route 51 is a bit shaken.

But now we take a look at the real phoneys, the Democrats who are Democrats in Name Only a.k.a. DINOs, like Susan O’Rourke, and the Republicans who are Republicans in Name Only a.k.a. RINOs. It’s pitiful, but here’s the real story.

But who are those masqueraders who meet to get a cheap power rush at the expense of New Baltimore taxpayers? We’ve received some personal impressions from a local correspondent who knows the New Baltimafia from the inside out, it seems. Here are some of those impressions:

The Supervisor from Hell

New Baltimore Town Supervisor:Control! Control! CONTROL!

New Baltimore Town Supervisor O’Rourke:
Control! Control! CONTROL!

Supervisor Susan K. O’Rorke – She claims to be a Democrat and runs as a Democrat- but she’s actually a DINO – Susan O’Rorke is not actually registered as a Democrat, she is “NOP,” which is the election board designation for someone with no party registration.  Of course, she is nominated by the New Baltimore Democrat machine, and she gives money to the Dems (sorta buys her nomination), etc, but she doesn’t have the guts or the commitment to register as one of them, as a Democrat.

New Baltimore Town Board members

They're Republicans in Name Only![They're Owned by Dems]

They’re Republicans in Name Only!
[They’re Owned by Dems]

Christopher Norris – Runs as a Republican (but in fact is just a RINO), O’Rorke controls him totally, voted contrary to her on one single resolution only in more than 3 years. Shame on you, Christopher!

Lisa Benway– Runs as a Republican (another RINO) Only on the board for 15 months, has yet to vote contrary to Susan O’Rourke. Shame on you, Lisa!

Michael T. Meridith – Runs as a Republican.  Likes to get along with everybody, nice person actually, but will get his back up once in a while. Is that enough, though, to represent the people who put him in office? And does he have the cojones to be a real Republican, and represent real Republican values and morality? To oppose Susan O’Rourke’s peverse agenda of Democrat amorality and secularism? Well, Mike, do you?

Barbara Finke – Runs as a Republican.  The only person who challenges Susan O’Rourke, however is usually voted down by O’Rorke, Norris and Benway.  Has voted NO! on numerous proposals that Susan O’Rourke puts up, but a resolution that is 4-1 or 3-2 passes anyway. But BRAVO! anyway, Barb. Thanks for the gutsyness and the fortitude!

This is what happensWhen a real Republican meets a RINO!

This is what happens
When a real Republican
meets a RINO!

Other Officers

Janet Brooks – Town Clerk- Democrat. A chameleon, really. Changes colors with the temperature and mood. And she stays afloat. Don’t let the smile mislead you…there are teeth in there.

Denis JordanHighway Superintendent, supposed to be Republican but  is totally 110%  in Susan O’Rourke’s  pocket.  In return he hands her the votes of the highway department employees and their spouses. The usual Democrat line of promises: he tells them that Susan O’Rourke will take care of them via raises and benefits if they support her.  Actually, he’s throwing your taxpayer money away in so many ways, O’Rourke’s just one of them. Shame on you, Denis!

Diane Jordan Recently appointed Town Tax Collector, wouldn’t be there if she weren’t Denis Jordan’s wife and a very special butt-kisser to Susan O’Rourke. She’s also supported in more ways than one by O’Rourke; in fact O’Rourke hand-picked Jordan and nominated her to be appointed when the previous Tax Collector stepped down for health reasons.  Like her husband Denis, Diane is a “registered” Republican but is owned by the Democrats. O’Rourke owns her and her husband. No shame, Diane!

Town “Justices”

[Editor’s Note: We really must apologize for using the word “Justice” when referring to these guys but that’s the official title. Has nothing to do with their performance or their ethics, unfortunately.]

New BaltimoreTown Justice at Work

New Baltimore
Town Justice at Work

Joseph A. Farrell Jr. – All that we’ve ever said or written about the ignorance and ineptitude of the New York State system of town and village courts is packaged in Joseph A. Farrell, Jr. Totally vanilla, nothing about the man is dignified, he’s a puppet of the worst kind, carved out of wormy wood. All he’s really good for is to collect speeding tickets, which he has been doing for quite a while now. An alleged adulterer who has the balls to show up in the local church with his fluff only during campaign periods to pander for re-election. Now his Conchita is married to “el juéz” and it’s classic melodrama on Peyton Place, New Baltimore. Disgusting pile of fetid flesh; Walking hypocrisy! And a Democrat all the way! Can it get any better than this?

Is it really written in the New York State Code of Judicial Conduct and the Judicial Law that our judges and justices are held to a higher standard than the citizen at large? If that is so and if the judges are such sleezebags, what can we expect from the New Baltimore citizen at large? I certainly hope they have their shots because they could be deadly!

Lee Davis – Davis is a registered Working Families Party member, which is a more radical branch of the Democrat party. Davis has only just been elected, rather “appointed” since we’re talking about New Baltimore now, to be a town justice. All we can honestly expect from Davis is that he’s going to march in lock-step with the rest of the club members and won’t buck his riders.

So, there you have an insider’s evaluation of the people who run the show in New Baltimore. There’s more coming up but we are working on checking the facts. It’s much dirtier than it appears at the surface, we regret to say.

Finally, we’d like to extend our special thanks to Joan Ross and Bob Ross of New Baltimore for their efforts in keeping everyone informed and for distributing this blog to the community. Thanks to you both for your behind-the-scenes involvement. It’s town residents like you who make all of this possible. (One of your many admirers threw you in!)
