Just When We Thought The Truck Had Taken Away the Garbage We Find Another Rotten Vegetable Taking Stabs at the RCS Community
Junk Journalist Dayelin Roman Has Left to Pollute the Newsprint in San Diego; Backwoods Butthead Michael Huber Apparently Has Stepped Up to Continue the Trash Tradition.
The Times Useless online muck published on the Albany Times Union “blogs” baits local lunatics with a cheap trashy attempt at journalism and then lets the rant-rambos continue making asses of themselves in comments that are uniformly nutzo and where no one has a name.
According to his TU description, Huber “is the interactive audience manager for TimesUnion.com. In addition to managing the Times Union’s stable of citizen bloggers.” This hapless wannabe journalist and “stable manager” apparently runs the stable, rather the pigsty where he works without a clue about his own standards. Take this one, for example,
“Note: All comments are read and approved before they display. Comments with profanity or personal attacks will be rejected.”
After reading some of the posts on Huber’s blog, that statement is like him and the Times Useless: A Complete Joke!
Several weeks ago we published the observation that what few commenters the Times Union blog gets most are multiple posts by the same person using a different fake name to post multiple comments, making the impression that a number of persons share the same opinion. That’s apparently how the writers at the Albany Times Useless get numbers for their online articles.
(Editor’s Note: Search this blog for Times Union Blog or Times Useless Blog to read our articles on the Times Union. To read our articles on commenters on the TU blogs click Gee! Was it something I said? and Times Union Doesn’t Like My Comments.)
Well, even Hapless Huber had to post this on the Times Union blog:

Note to commenters. We have become aware that several comments (now trashed) were written by the same person under multiple usernames.
We discourage that practice.

I’ll bet you do, Huber. You ought to discourage the practice of giving the local whacko’s a place to rave and rant. If that’s the kind of readers your rag attracts, well, NO THANKS!
[Editor’s Note: This blog actually has filters activated to prevent such misleading and dishonest practices. We don’t just discourage it we prevent it from happening!]
Again, we were right on the money several weeks ago when we wrote about the multiple postings on the TU blogs. Now one of the junk journalists actually comes out and admits it’s happening. Fancy that!
But really, the best one that Hairless Huber posted was this one:

And I’ll add this invite to RCS (and Bethlehem) residents. If you want to contribute to this blog as a blogger (distinct from a commenter), send me an email at email@example.com. I’d like to know a bit about who you are, your connection to the area, what topic(s) you’ll share, and why readers might benefit from your contributions.

Can you believe that?!? Now they’re recruiting from the psycho pool for writers! The Times Useless never ceases amaze me! As if they don’t have enough shitty wannabe journalists now they are trying to recruit from the screwballs that leave comments that make even Michael Huber look literate! That’s a real accomplishment.
Does this mean that we’ll be seeing bylines like Joan Ross or John Luckacovic or “Dirty-Hands” Jerry Deluca or Jango Davis or Hld434 (that’s a humdinger if I ever saw one!). Exciting, isn’t it. RCS home-grown talent on the TU blogs!
So if your ignorant, illiterate, and suffer severe self-loathing, and you are in chronic denial, are paranoid schizoid, you hate your life and hate everyone else’s life, the Albany Times Useless and Michael Huber want you to write for them! Just drop Dayelin… Oops!…Michael Huber a line at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We don’t have to appeal to the bottom feeders for inputs.
In fact, our overall numbers speak for themselves: This blog alone currently averages about 45 visits per hour averaged over a 48-hour period, and to date we average more than 10,000 unique new readers every month, most of them returning multiple times as returning visitors to get their local and regional news here about what’s important. Now top that! Times Useless! with your maybe 20 sleezy comments from October 11 – 19, 2012 (That’s less than 2 a day! Even if it were 100x that number you’d still be trailing pitifully)!
