Angry!? Disgusted!? You have some nerve!

05 Apr

A reader raised my curiosity, so I reviewed the RCS BoE video of the April 3, 2012, session, and was amazed at the arrogance of two of the speakers, two whose conduct has been addressed on this blog.

Don't Swallow Your Pride! You'll choke on it.

You’ve commented publicly; We are exercising that same right.

But this has really nothing to do with the RCS BoE, so don’t get the impression I have any interest whatsoever in its members or its operation. I don’t. And as for the players, I don’t know them, I have little or no interest in them except for what they represent, and if some of them were on fire on Main Street, I probably wouldn’t pee on them to put it out. So don’t let your imaginations get the best of you. This is solely about principles.

That having been said, I am amazed at the speakers who expressed indignity at having been the subject of questions on this blog but never once responded to the questions, or left a comment or an explanation, or even claimed that the allegations are untrue! It’s much easier to respond to these posts here than it is for a victim to respond in the Times Union.

Ladies and gentlemen. (Ms Bartlett and Mr Deluca, too) this is the forum where this is playing out. Here. Right here. Nowhere else. We’re at a loss why it’s being paraded at, of all places, a school board meeting! That’s inappropriate, idiotic! And you should be ashamed and embarrassed for your displays there. I know I was and I wasn’t even there!

It seems one of Bartlett’s and Deluca’s  main concerns is not their conduct but the fact that they don’t know who is posting the questions. They’re not protesting the truth or falsity of  the allegations, nor have they responded to them; they’re interested only in the fact that they don’t know where they’re coming from. The reason, if we may guess: They need a physical person to attack–hence their continuing personal attacks on the persons on the school board; they can’t cope with dealing with abstracts and concepts like morality, ethics, principles. (You’d think a “properly trained” and “qualified” lector in the Roman Catholic Church would be able to do so; does he even have a clue what metanoia means? Ask Fr Kane.)

Ms Bartlett, Mr Deluca: Truth doesn’t need a name or a face.

Contrary to what you might think or say, when you put yourself in the public’s face you become a public figure, and you should be held to a higher standard than most but you’re not even meeting the minimum; your morals and values DO count and we DO notice! No matter what you might say in your scripted remarks, your morals and ethics speak louder, especially when you are a public figure. But public figures do have rights, too. If you’re elected you are accountable for your actions on behalf of the public and, yes, you do have to answer for and to them. But everyone, EVERYONE, has a right to his or her own beliefs and political affiliation–as long as it’s not harming others. When you intrude into that unpublic sphere, you are trespassing. We have enough recent examples of such trespassing in our government’s recent antics. Learn from it.

And when your own example, the example of your conduct, morally, ethically, socially is substandard, unacceptable, we would caution you to think twice and very seriously about “fighting for what’s right” –your sense of ‘right’ might be grossly perverse–and proselytizing about “our children’s education” –the education you are providing by example may not be the best.

Rather than go into the numerous contradictions in the scripted remarks that the two addressed to the Board in a public meeting, we’d like to say that everyone reading this blog has the opportunity to comment on the posts. In fact, we actually request anyone who finds the information incorrect or misleading to let us know so that we can either further check the facts or make corrections. Mr and Ms Bartlett and Mr or Ms Deluca have refused to do so.

In law there is a concept: Qui tacet consentire videtur

(One who remains silent admits)

The speakers may or may not have read the posts on this blog but they do continue to chant their tired and boring refrains. So for their benefit, we are including the links to the relevant postings on this blog. The first one of interest and one with which you should be familiar is Coeymans, New York: A Nest of Hypocrisy, and the other is The Times Union Newspaper: Print Bullyism. Visit those posts, read or re-read them as appropriate. Think about what’s being said and examine your consciences.

Print bullyism and the comments in public media such as the Times Useless speak for themselves. Little or nothing in the concerned article had anything to do with the board of education; but a couple of big- mouths made it their business to make certain the world knew their opinions, while they and the idiot reporter exposed personal details and irrelevant connections with no good purpose. And what recourse did the victim have? Yes! The victim. Predators!

If we had no sense of dignity or ethics we would put in print here what we think of your tactics and tell you in the clearest of terms where you could stick them. But you manage to continue to embarrass yourselves by stepping back into the spotlight, so hungry and starving to be noticed, the predators-turned-victim. You save us the trouble of embarrassing you; you do it yourselves. Give us a break and take one.

No! Mr Deluca and Ms Bartlett, you are flat wrong!  The people of the RCS community are not intimidated by a blog, they are intimidated by neighbors and predators who may live just down the street or in the community. They are intimidated and scandalously misled by unscrupulous and scurilous reporters and editors who have no ethics. They are intimidated by ignorant, incompetent, and disrespectful  judges and officials; the are intimidated by corrupt police and law enforcement; they’re indimidated by a system of incomprehensible laws, fictional justice, and greedy lawyers. And they are intimidated by a gaggle of destructive, angry, self-loathing destructive lemmings that waste pubic time with their nonproductive whining!  They are intimidated and fearful of speaking out because they live in a mini police state called Ravena-Coeymans, populated by a handful of Gestapo, Gestapo who are not beneath retaliation and ambush, reading Scripture now and shooting you down minutes later (Good church-going Christians that you are), and what harm and damage those Gestapo can do when given a podium. You’ve already proved that.

Talk about fighting for what’s right; talk about community! Cannibals!

Amy Bartlett herself mentions her remarks at the March 27, 2012, session. I reviewed that tape and was flabbergasted at Bartlett’s vitriolic and threatening accusatory public remarks; Next came “Cathy” Deluca, still persisting in obstructing democratic process and stutteringly demanding the removal of a board member for no good cause–except for the no-good cause she and her minions advocate and pursue with a vengeance. It’s an egregious embarrassment. I have never heard such nastiness from locals! Such self-loathing, anger…You’ll have to see and hear it to believe it. View the streaming video of March 27, 2012.

So, you don’t want to be noticed? You don’t like it when the shoe is on the other foot? The solution is simple: Shut up! Leave others alone. Stop trying to destroy and try to be constructive. Because if you think you’re “disgusted” and “angry,” you obviously  have no clue how the rest of the community feels.

Finally, one of you in your overall  insulting diatribes to the board mentioned “board members” with poor commands of English. Well, let me remind you that plenty of hard-working individuals with poor English were instrumental in building this country, its infrastructure, its bridges, dams, neighborhoods, economy, and plenty of individuals with poor English are continuing to do so–what’s more, they have higher standards of morality and ethics, and values than many of the loudmouths I’ve been hearing lately. If the shoe fits, please wear it.

P.s. To the 8th grade school teacher having difficulty explaining to her children what is going on re: the Times Useless article: If you find it that difficult to explain to your children what’s going on, I wonder what you’re doing teaching 8th grade! Or teaching at all! Try telling them the truth…give them a lesson in life 101.

Truth stands steadfastly on its own; it’s bright and beautiful, and  has no need of a name; Pride and arrogance is an ugly troll that needs to have its name on every lip saying how pretty it is.
